"Why'd you do it?"
"Because you didn't say goodbye."
"Oh."
No, but... the way it didn't occur to Jess that Rory would miss him, that she would care if he wasn't there, the way he never expects ANYONE to miss him!

Contracted to pilot Spaceship Horizons for a research crew studying the planetary system of Zvy-Zhey, it's not long before Sally begins to regret her decision as she realizes she's become the mediator to a crew of constantly bickering scientists, in 'Escape Pod to Solitude'
Welcome to Spaceship Horizons...
Sally wears something low-cut, Dr. Atherton does the same... The man craves attention something awful.
Dr. Ulanna's workspace, she's rather picky about visitors, and anyone else within her vicinity wherever she goes, too, but especially visitors in her workspace; and to the right, we have The Navigation Deck and Map Room, with the planets of Zvy-Zhey on display because it can't be changed because the NavBot is broken.
The Kitchen (looks like someone left out some space corn); Dr. Ghellmenn, an eccentric sort, for sure, but a helluva dancer; The Loo
Dr. Ilsa, the Seer, likes to make outrageous scientific claims; the Vegetation Modulation Unit with something growing on the left, there; and the Workshop, with the head of NavBot 21-20, whom is in obvious need of repairs

OUTLANDER: ON CHANGING THE PAST, PART 2: Predestination or variations on a time loop?
In episode 704, Roger wrestles with the Presbyterian notion of predestination, after realizing that he and Bree had indirectly prevented Jamie and Claire's death by fire.
Roger explains to Bree that because they apparently changed Jamie and Claire's fate, he has begun to doubt that God is in "control" of what happens to humans. This in turn makes him wonder if he can become a Presbyterian minister.
I know that one popular belief in this fandom about the Outlander universe is that time is a "loop" that Claire and Jamie repeat over and over again. But then how does one account for the small changes to the past that occur in that loop?
Variations on a theme?
Perhaps in the Outlander universe, God is like a musician or artist, Who is unsatisfied with how some of His creations turned out, and so He allows certain people to go back in time to make corrections.
In that case, time in the Outlander universe could be a creative "loop" with "variations on a theme," in which God inspires certain humans to make different changes to the past in an attempt to create better outcomes.
Who knows? But I certainly empathize with Roger's wish that he understood better what was happening in the universe his character inhabits.

Do you think Hound-Arya were darker version of Brienne-Podric?
There are various iterations of a Big Kinguard/Knight/Protector figure with a child or young or disabled person throughout the books. Dunk and Egg, Bran and Hodor, Brienne and Podrick, the Hound with Joffrey, the Hound with Arya, Rolly Duckfield with Aegon VI, Areo Hotah and Doran Martell, even Arys and Myrcella in a way.
Some share a more striking resemblance than others but I wouldn't say that any two are specific versions of each other so much as all reflect variations on a theme to some degree.

"Fire and Brimstone"
MINKOWSKI
There might be - there is an opportunity here.
EIFFEL
Opportunity for what?
HILBERT
Strategic advantage. Liquid nitrogen is very complicated solution. Very… difficult to get right. Very easy to tip over into a lethal dose.
EIFFEL
You're not saying what I think you're saying…
HILBERT
Would be impossible to prove it was intentional. Even I could make mistake. Plenty of plausible deniability.
EIFFEL
Commander, Kepler would kill you!
MINKOWSKI
Maybe. But if we were completely expendable, he would've killed us the day he arrived. And there's precedent for independent action to prevent damage to the station. We might get away with it.
EIFFEL
What?! Commander, you know how tingly I get every time you break out your Sarah Connor game, but are you listening to yourself! This is murder!
MINKOWSKI
Well, what do you want me to do? Play it safe! Wait for the right moment! That's what we all agreed to do when Kepler first showed up, remember? How did you think this was going to end?!
(beat, softer)
You think I want to do this? But… it's a chance to make our lives one- third less dangerous. We have to consider it.
"Crash and Burn"
JACOBI
You were there with me, you heard Cutter. Without Pryce, they're not in business anymore, and that's a good thing as far as I'm concerned. Maybe good enough that it's worth -
LOVELACE
You can't just make that decision for them!
JACOBI
Well, how the hell else are we going to stop this? Because I don't think we're gonna get another shot like this one.
HERA
But… He'll kill you. If you miss the shot.
JACOBI
Maybe. But like you said… it's a tough shot, from an unstable launcher, to a fast-moving target. Who knows if anyone could make it.
LOVELACE
You're… you're really considering this, you're really thinking of
letting Eiffel and Minkowski die.
JACOBI
Yeah. I'm really considering it.
round and round we go...
