Today’s @pawsforgold Olympic event is Swimming!

I have only been swimming once so I thought I would share my first swim lesson experience at @theboneadventure with you!

My human took me for a swim lesson because she really wants me to be more comfortable in the water because we go out on boats, kayaks, and other in or near water adventures.

Swipe for a photo series of my swim lesson. My human says I did really well and was very brave. My instructor was very patient and actually got me to be more comfortable and swim a few times.

I’m going to go back for a second lesson but my human will stay out of sight that time so that I can focus on my lesson instead of running over to her at the window.

This #SnapbackSunday is my entry for the @pawsforgold Olympic Hurdles event!

I actually conquered some pretty big tree root hurdles and climbed some cliffs today but more of that to come later as I don’t have much service out here in the wild.

6” hurdles are so much scarier. 😅

Happy DOGust to all of my fellow rescue frens! Our humans don’t usually know our exact birthdays so we all get to celebrate together!

To celebrate I made my own tide pool obstacle course to enter the @pawsforgold Olympic Obstacle Course event.

Today I’m competing in the @pawsforgold Olympic Agility event!

More importantly, did you know that July is National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month?

Mental health does not discriminate but unfortunately systems do, making it even more difficult for minorities to get help when they need it.

To learn more about some of the unique struggles that minorities encounter with regards to mental health, I highly recommend checking out Women of Color Talk by Dr. Angela Roman Clack and Cultural Humility in Art Therapy by Dr. Louvenia C. Jackson.

No matter who you are, please seek help if you need it, and do your part to help eliminate mental health stigma - for everyone.

My human has always loved the Olympics and attended #PyeongChang2018 with plans to attend #Tokyo2020 and volunteer at #LA2028.

Her plans were obviously changed for this year but that’s okay because @pawsforgold is bringing us the Unofficial IG Pet Olympics!

Today’s event is Best Trick so I decided to enter with my Puppy Burpees: Sit, Lie Down, High Five!

Y’all. Humans are exhausting.

This is my entry for the @pawsforgold Olympic Lounging event, but let me tell you how I ended up here.

This weekend I went camping with my human, @theblondpanda, and @cloud_monger.

First we went out to Angeles National Forest but when we got there we found out it was on fire so we had to head back and make alternate plans.

It worked out okay because we found a great campsite at the last minute but the humans decided to make it a road trip up the coast with stops at Seaside Cliff and Morro Rock.

Eventually we arrived at our site and got to relax at the campsite after setting up all the tents. My human got me the @ruffwear tethering system so that I could safely roam our site.

Today we went hiking in San Simeon and I kept going off trail climbing cliffs like a pro. I’m basically fearless now.

After hiking I spent some time at a winery before doing some beach digging. Normally I just dig for treasures, but this time I made myself a nice little hole to lounge in by the ocean.

Wake me up next week sometime?
