I know they said the lineup for the Nine Muses comeback will be confirmed later, but we all know it’s gonna be OT8. maybe Sungah might sit this one out and I know this is wishful thinking, but if they reached out to Sera like they should’ve in the first place, she might agree to it. eventhough she left the group earlier than OT8, they still should’ve asked her as well as Hyunjoo and Eunji if she wanted to participate.

( 🏹 ) — Cupid's Rejects was a six piece girl group under Sour Grapes Media and debuted on March 18, 2014. The girl group consisted of members Victoria, Jade, Hwayoung, Mimi, Jean, and Sena. The girl group was mainly known for their unique concept that had two sides: The Cupids and The Rejects, along with their complex lore that dealt with traveling between dimensions. Many people compared their concept as a mix between Red Velvet and LOONA.

Before the group officially debuted, Sour Grapes Media would release a series of videos that introduced each member and their part in the world of Cupid's Rejects. Sour Grapes' Creative Director Kim Hyemin would be credited to creating to the group as she also hand-picked each member based off of their evaluations at the company. Each member's teaser was released over the span of one month leading up to group's official debut.

The group would debut with the single album 'STEREOTYPE' and was met with mixed reception from international fans; however, was popular among the general public for their cute concept. The group wouldn't receive their first win until their second comeback two months after their debut with their second single album 'OMG' where they would end up taking home six wins total. Cupid's Rejects debut year was seen as extremely successful and even won Rookie of the Year at several award shows including MAMA 2014.

The following year in 2015, Cupid's Rejects would go to have a very successful year with several comebacks all being hyped up and winning several music show wins. The group would also hold their first concert that would be sold out and several of the members would go to appear in several variety shows, photoshoots, and dramas. They would be nominated for Best Female Artist at MAMA 2015, but did not win.

In 2016, it would announced that the group would be releasing their first full album later in the year. However, before that could happen, Sour Grapes would sudden post a message to their social medias that member Sena has been removed from the group. This news came as a shock to many fans as Sena was one of the most popular members and also the group's main vocalist. Sour Grapes would then go to release a statement saying that Sena was removed due to "using violent language and abusing her power over staff and some members." A week after the announcement, Sena's aunt, popular musical actress Park Jiyoon, would reveal that she would be suing the company for having mismanaged, defamed, and withheld paychecks from her niece.

Many staff members that have worked with Sena in the past would go to say that the then 17-year-old had never used violent language towards them and was very respectful towards everyone she worked with. The news of all of this would cause Sour Grapes to push forward the album release for Cupid's Rejects, and many netizens assumed that the other girls also had something to do with Sena's removal due to them not commenting or posting anything on the matter.

A month later, members of Cupid's Rejects would reveal to Dispatch they have all filed for lawsuits to terminate their exclusive contracts with Sour Grapes Media. All five girls were able to win their lawsuits and leave the company. Since then, members Victoria, Jade, and Mimi redebuted as a trio under Abyss Records, Hwayoung went into acting, and Jean debuted as a soloist. Former member Sena would also redebut under KQ Entertainment in the group ATEEZ.

I never wanted praise, but I do wish someone clapped for every time I turned a blind eye.

It happened quite quickly. Like a sudden gust of wind. The aftermath was what made it worst. It was agonizing, but she had to stay calm.

A hand wiped her own blood from the fabric of her clothes, pressing a cloth with the other on her head. Minseo’s pressing so hard that a guard was concerned she was doing it out of punishment. Her eyes were lined with tears but they weren’t from the pain. Even sadness, no. 

“Miss Choi, we’ll be there soon.”

“You have multiple things to take care of in Jeju.” Her secretary announces, already irritating her thoughts first thing in the morning. “We’ve just finished the appointment with Mr. Bang Jisoo and Ms. Park Hyemin for the wedding sorts, I’ll make sure to have things finalized as soon as they make a decision.” 

“Have you heard from Wenhan?” She asks politely, a dart to make the woman pause her plans. “What about from Woori, or Neo? Perhaps Yohan or Cash, even?”

“....No, Miss.”

“They’re sick of me...”

Her footsteps walk about the penthouse room reserved for the members of the Choi Family. It was looking over the coastline of Jeju, along with the rest of the resort’s view. For most of the time she was there it was calm, but lately, things have been the opposite. She was unsure of the agitation she felt but she felt it a little too strong today. 

“Miss Choi, someone is on the phone.” the secretary leaves a phone on a desk before she was left alone again.

Business mode, got it. Deep breath.

“Good news,” She starts, even before the man over the phone could finish the greeting. “I heard the city approved the new renovations for the docks-”

“Bad news, it’s not well received.” the man on the phone responds. He sounded much older. “If you get the chance please read the business news. Looks like some of the local business owners dont approve of your decisions...”

“It’s temporary, for their safety.” She takes a deep breath. The underground’s demands have gotten too much to bear and it was only the beginning. “We will open up many hiring opportunities in the mean time. Aside from this, you know it’s just to hide the imports from other countries. Having a central dock wouldn’t be so bad.” 

“But that would also mean employing real people.” He was stern. “The underground employees can only do so much.”

“It won’t be a problem.” 

“Until it will.” 

Her form lays down on the couch, the phone was on her stomach as her eyes close. She was briefed of the company’s legal proceedings, that not everyone in the city had grown to like the recent changes she had made. Still, her business advisors have given her a green light on most of her decisions. Now it feels as if they just agree in order to please a raging fire inside her. 

“Look, Miss Choi,” the man continues, she was barely listening. “When you return to Seoul, were going to merge some employees into the business just as we do annually. This is going to be one of them. Of course, that’s on your call to add or subtract.” 

“Add or subtract?” her eyes open, a soft scoff was heard. “as in life or death?”

“Visitations in the dock would be nice for today, actually.” Her secretary comments, “Miss Choi, any preference for dinner?”

“No...” She was distracted, looking at the descending number of the elevator. “Any will do.”

There was a commotion outside the hotel’s premises, protestors who were against the business’ newest decisions. Minseo was immediately surrounded by guards as soon as she left, a small angry mob threw words of dissatisfaction, along with disapproval of her position as the head of the business. With the commotion at it’s peak, she could barely look up. Almost immediately before stepping in to her car, something hard hits the side of her head that she was thrown to the ground but then being carried else where. The next thing she felt was pressure on her left head but the confusion left her to fend for herself. 

It trickles on the side of her head, her own blood had seeped through her fingertips while hearing her guards and secretary bring her to the hospital soon. Minseo was crying silently. Not from the pain or sadness. But frustration. There was only so much she can decide on. And whatever that decision was, was for the better of the company.

Every decision, every choice. There’s someone out there that wont like it. Now, I can choose to fight. But I always wondered why I hesitated every time.
