New Gods - Pantheon

I got so invested in Pantheon these past weeks. The ending destroyed my heart, but I was happy about it(?) Anyway, I needed to make a fanart of it cause I needed to take it out of my system. These two characters are Maddie and Caspian. And I'm not going to say any more cause I would recommend watching the show if you are into adult animations and especially sci-fi and questioning what means to be human and the use of technology. I just love these two characters (and this fanart is maybe super spoilery whoops)

I just finished watching pantheon season 2 last night and I canNOT stop thinking about it. fucking. brilliant. stephen holstrom is such an incredibly hateable asshole. seriously fuck you steve. also julius pope. dicks, every one of them. the romance seemed a little out of left field, but it made sense, especially by the end. same deal with episode 7, it seemed kind of incongruous, but that was just because it was setting up the puzzle pieces so that they would fall into place with episode 8. the finale. holy shit the finale. spoilers under the cut:

maddie simulating herself and caspian endless times, trying to get the world, and her romance with him, just right. succeeding right when the, i saw someone call them Time Lords so that's what I'll call them, said she would. remaking the world billions of times over because she wants to kiss a guy. that's dedication. also the Time Lords thanking Caspian for inspiring them, Caspian remarking on how Maddie's a god now, Maddie denying it, it's simulations all the way down, Maddie choosing to stay in her own little corner with Caspian rather than try to ascend and find the 'original' Maddie, who's probably in a setup really similar to the one our Maddie is in, since obviously things had to work out pretty similar for the 'original' Caspian to inspire the Time Lords in the first place. Part of me is wondering what the 'originals' are up to now. Mist is probably up there. She's her sister, silly.
