ok as much as i love season 6 so so so much season 8 mumbo has to be my favourite because the entire time he was just like “okay so. i may have heard recently that normal humans don’t have an unrelenting lust for blood which is fine! i knew that! i knew that because i am a normal man. but anyways this season i’ve decided not to kill anything. at all. i’m gonna be all peace love and plants just like a normal human person. and of course because, as previously stated, i am normal, this will have no negative side effects on me. oh what’s that? i’m shapeshifting into a plant? yeah that’s fine. totally normal and regular behaviour. so if i want to become human then i have to- oh. ohh okay. well if you don’t mind i’m just gonna check in on my good friend grian. you know, like friends d- HEY GRIAN DO YOU WANNA SIGN A MYSTERIOUS CONTRACT? LIKE RIGHT NOW? URGENTLY?”

Am I the only one who looked at the “it was all a simulation” ending of Hermitcraft S8, scoffed, and decided that no, in fact, it WAS real, and all the Hermits found their way off server in different ways? I can’t be the only one.

not to season 8 post again but like. im exploring the world download. and something i’ve noticed with the season 8 world download is that none of the hermits (that i’ve found) left a box of their gear behind. every other world download, cub’s put his stuff at spawn with a book of coords. grian’s put his stuff down in the middle of his base.

but not season 8. because they didnt have time, or because it wasnt safe. because they had more important things on their mind. this is not a place of honour.

Okay hear me out.

If Mumbo turns partially into the same species as whatever he eats, and he ate Grian's soul. Mumbo is now partially whatever Grian is, wether you think he's a bird hybrid, human, or a watcher or something else entirely.

And this mostly caries over to how Mumbo looks. Like he may look like a potato when he ate a bunch but he could still do whatever he could before he shape shifted.

When mumbo ate Grian's soul, he mostly looked human and like his regular self again. Mostly. all that changed is that he now has a waffle pattern on the back of his hair just like Grian.

Thus, we can draw the conclusion that if hermitcraft Grian is a watcher, all the watchers have waffle-like hair. (or if you hc Grian as smtn else, that others of his species still all have waffle hair)
