I got to visit an elementary school today. It was the first time in a very long time I've ever been around that many children. They got to witness theatre specifically targeted at kids, theatre that they wrote, brought to life before their very eyes. It was beautiful to see young people getting invested in creativity and the arts.
And in spite of the joyous occasion, there was a part of me that could only feel immense grief. Grief at the number of children who would never get to experience something like this. Grief for the children who had lost their lives. Grief for the children who had no lives to return to. Grief for the children who knew the sounds of bombs better than the sounds of a school bell.
I'm just one poor boy with a heart on their sleeve and a foolhardy dream that children should be allowed to live without fear for the safety of themselves, their families, or those they care about. It may not seem like I can do a lot, but I can share my seemingly naive platitudes about the value of human life.
Children in Gaza deserve to live. They deserve to love. They deserve a life free of fear for their safety. Palestinian children are human beings with potentially bright futures ahead of them. They could be capable of so many great things. They could be brimming with creativity, passion, love, empathy. These children are no lesser than any other child just because they do not belong to a Western super power. They should not be a statistic of casualties. They are real breathing loving kind human beings who deserve just as much life as any child living anywhere else.
There cannot be peace for us until there is peace for them. Keep disrupting, keep protesting, keep boycotting, and keep the memory of the families of people who deserve to live just as much as you and your loved ones close to your heart.
Do not allow yourself to call this anything else but a genocide. Do not allow yourself to become complicit in genocide.

Imagine them coming back to the office to find their aides inundated with calls for a permanent ceasefire. I also told mine we've been giving Israel over a 150 billion dollars and thousands in munitions to fund this war; after the destruction of Gazan homes, hospitals, historical sites, schools, and graveyards, what do we plan to give Gaza?
Sometimes I think about after the genocide in Palestine is over. In all honesty, using this account to post about it would be detrimental to me, remembering all the lives that were lost every time and worsening my mental health.
I won't delete my posts. I'll be posting them on my other account:
I’ve been working on a big Neocities with resources and information and donation links (and some free graphics) about Gaza and Palestine. I wanted to post it today, but I ran out of brain juice to finish the history page.
That said! This is where I’m asking for help. If you know of any fundraisers for individuals or good articles talking about the crisis going back further than last October or any other things you think might be useful like petitions etc — especially in languages other than English!! — please reblog this post, or send me an ask with details.
If you aren’t comfortable being public, please let me know in the ask, or I might be willing to pass on an email address. If you are willing to go public, I’ll reblog the info here too.
My explanation of the Israel/Hamas war. IF ANYTHING IS WRONG CORRECT ME AND STATE YOUR SOURCES
Heres my personal opinions on this topic: What Hamas did was obviously terrible and devastating, but how Israel is dealing with Hamas and their methods is even more so. I understand they’ve tried some things to not kill many Palestinians, but in what world is killing people that have nothing to do with the situation the only option? I know that in every war civilians die but this time it is far too gruesome and cruel. What Hamas did has no excuse either. That was terroism and so is what Israels doing. I understand the REASONING behind what Israel is doing. Theyre trying to get rid of Hamas, but the way they are doing it is far to much. Im not saying im picking sides, but Palestine is the main victim.
At the end of the day, innocent people are dying whether they be Israeli or Palestinian. And we should all have the same empathy for each one
To all victims on either side, may you rest in peace
It legitimately amazes me how the “We can't allow the Holocaust to happen again” crowd can look at something like this and still claim that the Israeli government isn’t committing any war crimes.
people are calling what happened today in gaza “the flour massacre”
the flour massacre
these people just wanted to get food for their families, something as basic as flour, one of the things that the very core of humanity is built on, and israel used it as a trap to murder them in cold blood
evil is not enough of a word. there is not a word to describe what they are doing to palestine. they are bleeding her out, they are torturing her and crushing her and hoping that nothing is left to remember her by when they are done. how can anyone stand and watch what is being done with indifference? how can you watch this level of human suffering, this crime against life and feel nothing, do nothing
yemen is the poorest nation in the arab world. but in two weeks time, it did what no oil or gas- rich arab nation could do. by seizing three ships and costing i****l more than 2 billion by forcing its ships to go around africa, yemen showed up.
