Otomachi Una is a japanese synth developed by Internet Co., and released in 2016. she is voiced by Tanaka Aimi. una was illustrated by Saitou Naoki for her Talk Ex and voiceroid, and by Kurisu Toshi for her v6, but her v4 artist has not been revealed. her 3d modeling was done by kuuwanko, and the rigging by Rennya. on 30 jul 2016 unas v4 "sweet" and "spicy" banks were released, the names of these are possibly reference to the nursery rhyme "What Are Little Boys Made Of?", in which the second stanza reads "What are little girls made of? / What are little girls made of? / Sugar and spice / And everything nice [or "all things nice"] / That's what little girls are made of". on 20 apr 2017 unas talk ex bank was released, on 11 dec 2020 her voiceroid2 bank, on 15 jul 2021 her voidol banks, and on 22 jun 2023 her v6 sweet and spicy. una is 11yo and 148.5cm tall with her hat. her hat is called Ottoman Bō, and often changes expression to match unas.

~Biographical Information~ July 30th, EC 1493 Age: 14 (which in his species, would be ancient but Lust behaving like a Young adult) Classification: Mutated Lizard (with tons of DNA cramped up into one creature including Youkai and Lunarian) Gender: Male in Lizard form and female in Humanoid form Sexual Orientation: Bisexual Hair Color: Light Purple (in Normal form) and Blue (In Humanoid form) Eye Color: Green (in Normal form) and Blue (in Humanoid form) Affiliation(s): Northern Maistia, Gensokyo

Lust born Subject 96th has been experimented on since He was hatched to the point that His body can no longer reject any creature's DNA until a Miracle happened, where He broke out of the tank due to the Robotic Figure and escaped to Toxic Disposal which is where He got accidentally impaled by Venom Sword and being around radioactive around him causing him to mutant even further

Later on, He was raised and trained by Cryptid Trios to become their Ally and inject more DNA into him (specifically Turtle to slow down Aging, Chimps for Sociality, and Dolphins to boost Hedonism) but They avoided giving him Human DNA as it can make him Hesitation. They have given his codename "Lust"

Once They're finished training him, New Sinners went on raiding Heavenly Yard and failed. Lust punishment is getting sent to the world where every Woman there can kick his ass which is Gensokyo

Once He was sent there, he struggled to survive for the first few weeks but He was eventually able to adapt and finally gain Human DNA which caused Lust to grow hair and be able to talk in Human Language

Later on, Lust got taken into Eientei so He could be studied by the Lunarian there, a year later, Lust got sent to the Lunar Capital as a Messager while He fought one of the princess there in the usual Touhou manner, He was able to inject Lunarian DNA but Lunarian Blood is so Pure, It's completely turn him into a young female humanoid

A few days later after getting sent back to Gensokyo, Lust realized why it had been so weak for the past year as it had almost no sin power at all and it couldn't attract anybody in either form as He/She either too hideous or too young

this gives Lust the idea when He/She sees the Prismriver sisters performance that it can gain fans who will love and worship her in humanoid form (basically simping but not in a sexual way, it's in the cute way)

After another year of Performance, Lust got sent back to her homeworld where he along with other New Sinners continued what they left off but now stronger and smarter than ever

Lust gets into a fight with Kayo Sudou where He terrorizes Jakoku and They both fight to the death with Mutual Kills

Later on Sloth (who has no soul) gets sent to Hellish Yard to get Lust and Wrath's souls back

After the War ended, the Trios gave other Sinners a choice to either stay with them and face their consequences or leave for their punishment turned new homeworld, Lust chose Latter

but When Lust got sent back, He realized this isn't his Gensokyo as He saw a young girl with a book that could summon all the people that he had met and reskins of them

this drove Lust to jealousy and hated that young girl able to get everyone to love her while He took years to struggle to even ally with one of them so a new Conflict begins

Trivia: - Lust shared the same birthday as her Vocaloid representation - I have been avoiding doing anything related to Venomania such as building Harem - Lust never had sexualized her Idol Persona - Lust has been inspired by Hoshino Ai from Oshi no Ko who is Idol who lies and somewhat manipulative about loving her fans but with fewer redeem Qualities than Ai did - Lust has 3 variations like Vocaloid counterpart, Sugar being casual, Spicy when performing and Talk EX is in between Lizard and Humanoid (completed with Scales, stilt eyes, and tail)

Otomachi Una V4 (Sugar): Really cute. Reminds me of a jellyfish /positive. 9/10.

Otomachi Una V4 (Spicy): Christ those colors hurt my eyes, but still a solid design overall. 7/10.

gumi - the star of course; she never let it get to her head tho, she's just as happy staying in w/ friends and family as she is performing. she always gets ppl rly kickass gifts for holidays/birthdays despite ppl often thinking she's a little absent. she's just like that! it's not her fault!

gakupo - only performs in small private venues (his own decision) after several years of dealing w/ the stress of having to live up to his human voice provider's legacy. can tell you anything at all about any famous japanese sword from the last 400 years and is thrilled to do so

gachapoid/ryuto - V3 is a child actor/singer and has a contract with a popular kids show as the host; loves his internet co. family and is always thinking of fun day trips they could do together. V2 quit performing the second V3 was released and makes several thousand dollars a month cheating at fortnite and streaming tiktok controversy reaction videos (fsr these are the only two i rly separate by voicebank version?? i dont rly have diff headcanons for gumi/lily/etc v2 versus v3 etc)

lily - an unexpected friend and protégé of miriam! miriam's like a mother to her after she went to the retired loid's cafe and bar to chat and ended up in a whole therapy session abt being a lower quality vocaloid that isnt getting any updates. she still performs acoustic covers in miriam's cafe.

CUL - the cool weed aunt of the group; she gives gachaV2 fortnite v-bucks every time she vists. while lily struggled with irrelevance CUL thrived in it; she only produces songs for a small private label she founded, and otherwise fills her time with crossfit and volunteer work

kokone - gumi's ex; it was completely amicable and they're still good friends. Gacha V2 calls her "gumi's ex" out loud occasionally bc he knows it pisses her off. she's somewhat sensitive about never taking off like some other vocaloids, but it's not like she thinks about it much

Rana - has an unofficial rivalry with gacha v3 (not v2!) but she doesn't even realize it. she's having a blast guest starring on gachaV3's morning show and having duets with powerhouses like gumi, but gachaV3 feels threatened by another childish character voice. v2 absolutely fuels this by suggesting bigger and better opportunities to rana

Galaco (prize version) - kind of like the mysterious celebrity relative? she never got huge but her name is important enough that she still arrives to holidays in a glitter-coated limousine. she has the money to upgrade every vocaloid in the house on her own dime but instead she uses it to gift tchotchkes and ugly apparel (not out of malice she's just out of touch)

chika - originally a constituent of gumi's, she never really wanted to be a singer until gumi started performing for the big leagues; inspired by her friend she joined the same record label and the two have been inseparable since, though she doesn't get as many big shows. she and lily gossip about the entertainment business

otomachi una - a lot of the internet co. household actually didn't like una when she first got signed to their label; even gumi felt somewhat threatened by a newer, higher quality voicebank. luckily everyone realized pretty quickly that she's just a funny silly gal and doesn't want to overshadow anyone. Spicy and Sugar are separate android bodies and play "the parent trap" type tricks on the rest of the household constantly

So...

AI Otomachi Una is a thing.

I'm debating over whether or not to get her.

Pros:

She's cute. She sparks joy.

Her updated Sugar voicebank honestly sounds really good.

Since she has two cross-lingual voicebanks, I might be more motivated to practice using XSyn. I love GUMI V4, but copy/pasting Japanese syllables from Wikipedia to make song lyrics is painful. (Is there any way to make this process quicker?)

GUMI will have a friend that isn't one of the standard Yamaha voices.

She'd be the first non-adult voice in my (admittedly very small) arsenal, adding a bit of variety to the lineup.

This will show Internet Co. that their products are wanted. With enough interest in/purchases of their V6 voicebanks, maybe more of their characters will get updates. That's a big maybe, but never say never.

Cons:

She's freaking expensive ($138 US before tax).

Her updated Spicy voicebank is kind of underwhelming.

I love playing around with tuning/making covers privately, but I haven't had the courage to actually upload anything to the internet; in this sense, it might just seem like an expensive waste of time.

The whole "interest in Internet Co.'s stuff" thing outlined above isn't guaranteed to work.

So with all that said, I'm tossing this decision to a third party since I'm super indecisive.

it appears that, just like with the V4 version, AI Otomachi Una includes a softer Sweet bank, and a powerful Spicy bank--but according to the VOCALOID news feed, there is a third bank as well that combines aspects of both Sweet and Spicy!

Yamaha Corporation released today new AI Voicebank "AI Otomachi Una" which is the virtual vocal voicebank based on voice of Aimi Tanaka who is a Japanese voice actress. Voicebank "Spicy" is powerful and cheerful voice, "Sugar" is sweet and cute voice. "Complete", which includes both Spicy and Sugar, is also available at the same time! (VOCALOID Editor version 6.1.0 or higher is required to use "AI Otomachi Una".)

In addition to her Vocaloid voicebanks, Otomachi Una has several speech voicebanks. These include releases for Talk Ex (also known as Otomachi Una Talk), VOICEROID2, Voidol (a real time voice conversion software) and Voicepeak (which uses AI speech synthesis). Currently, this is the same amount of releases as the amount of her Vocaloid voicebanks (2 each for V4 and V6).

These releases all use a separate design for Una with glasses, except for Voidol, which uses her VOCALOID4 Sugar design.
