To my long-ago mutuals and followers who are coming back after years away, welcome! It’s nice to see you!

I’m not writing fic anymore, and haven’t since 2017. I honestly don’t know if the urge will strike again. I do still enjoy responding to comments and discussing meta around things I wrote back in the day, though.

Also, coming up on two years ago, I gave myself an art challenge. I hadn’t made anything in decades, and had been too intimidated by all the phenomenal digital art out there to try, but I forced myself to do it and have been making slow progress. If you stick around you can expect to be subjected to fanart of dubious quality about once a week.

Right now I am trapped in the KinnPorsche rabbit-hole. I also still read and share art in the YOI (mostly otayuri) and pre-Ragnarok Thorki fandoms, along with anything that strikes my fancy. So, this is a multi-fandom space occasionally interrupted by cats, pretty art and landscapes, and miscellaneous musings.

I try not to do politics here, but I am against censorship, supportive of mental health challenges, and queer-friendly so the occasional disk horse shows up too.

Looking forward to seeing you around if you stay! If our interests have diverged over time and you opt to leave, no hard feelings. Welcome either way.

Official Summary: It starts with a doodle in the margin of his art history notes that, when he looks at it from the right angle, looks like Otabek. Then there’s the midnight scrawls in his journals when he pours his heart out onto the page in smudgy ink, and when he rereads them the next day, it’s clear in his mind that the rambles that fill page after page are only about one person.

Slowly, bits of Otabek start creeping into his art, snippets of things he’s written in journals, half remembered conversations immortalized in paint, some of the writing covered in angry strokes of red acrylic or made barely legible by the ink running down the page. He’s under his skin, and Yuri doesn’t really know why, or how to make it stop, how to make it go away, or anything that could possibly make the situation any better.

And whilst that might well be the start, it’s not technically the beginning.
