Hey—back again, briefly; a friend and fellow Slenderverse creator could use some relief.
Tristan, creator of Osiris Chronicles/Eris Addendum, is in a tough spot financially, and rent is coming up. As many of you know, every bit helps, and as those who know Tristan personally know, him and his family are wonderful folks.
25th Anniversary Tomb Raider Reimagined Box Art Prints
In celebration of 25 years of Tomb Raider, fans were given the opportunity to purchase the set of 15 prints of the reimagined box arts. They were created by legendary artists from around the world, such as Andy Park, Adam Hughes and Brenoch Adams and were released digitally throughout the year 2021, depending on the game's celebratory month. Each print is 11x17 inches, on uncoated stock paper.
As described on the Square Enix item listing page: 'Artists were chosen to ensure a diverse array of styles and were given full freedom to reimagine the box art, resulting in Lara Croft portrayed in comic, anime, whimsical, realistic, and surrealistic styles. No matter the genre or medium, as a pop-culture icon of 25 years Lara Croft is instantly recognizable throughout the art series'.
The proceeds from the sale was given to the charity, 'Girls Make Games', a cause that encourages more females to get into the games industry. This item went on sale on Lara's birthday in 2022, 14th February, and although it was planned to run for three weeks only, it was extended to a whole month, ending on 14th March. The prints were finally dispatched to customers on 12th May '22.
The sale was a print to order listing, so there is no leftover stock, and the window to purchase it from the official SE store is over. People have wasted no time in reselling them. On eBay, there are listings in the USA and France, with values of over $200 and €200.
Typical reading time is about 8h42min, book 1/6 in The Alchemi Online Chronicles. This was a freebie I got long ago, I read the summary, thought it wasn’t for me, but I’m game to trying one genre/type of story at least once before saying “hate it”. Also, summary tells me that “if you love Dungeons and Dragons…”, I’ll be honest, I don’t know what that is, but I’ll try. And yes, I am psyching myself here, cause I never played the games listed on the summary. Started reading late Tuesday, almost Wednesday (Jan31), ended on February 3, 2:21pm.
A sweeping virus was cleaning the whole world of health making it a cemetery of large buildings and whatnot. The savior of mankind for the remaining human kind is nothing but AI based. A game where people consciousness was uploaded to the cloud for the intent to help save human kind from the virus while working on a cure, but also keeping the bodies alive while in this super real game, death-betrayal-secrets were about to come to light by the right person: Hector.
Hector upon waking in the game for the first time, chose his fate - his avatar, his skills and aimed high in the breathing fire sky: dragons. This first volume is his adventure, his pooped cherry, secrets and backstabbing and the final moment: dragon. But he offers a twist: he has no alliance to any kingdom, and his mission is secret even for himself. Be ready to put the puzzle together and encounter the equivalent of, “to be continued” last words of a paragraph that leaves our main character, his Dino-like horse, and his newest member of the family, a dragon queen.
Reading a dragon baby hatching was far better than playing tamagotchi, I tell you that. I cried.
And yes, I was surprised to have enjoyed this book so much to shed a tear when it was over. The next book? Trial by Fire is on my to-read-list. When? No idea when, I just hope it don’t take long enough for me to forget the pickle Hector is truly in, and how he’s gonna bring a baby dragon to safety while wanted by the whole place/game. Be ready to hate on some characters pretty badly, be weary of others and certainly cheer yourself trusting in one or another. I secretly want to see Kira back — she seemed human to me.
Oh yeah, there are other players around who knows it is a game, who’d kill a fellow human in said game; it will turn you philosophical for a while — what is truly acceptable in this scenario? And many other questions, but more importantly, are there any developers alive or the real world is long gone, and Hector is bound to live this AI reality (his body is gone, nuked, no way to return). Nah, can’t think straight to keep going. Forget the game stats, enjoy the outloud rant when appropriate and enjoy the plot. That’s what I did, cause the “game” itself was not it for me.
Adieu.
(and yeah, this was pre-pandemic, there was a tiny trauma by reading it a bit. Fiction can be worse than reality, but it sure can exist).
Yes, I know some of the ones I've grouped together are not the exact same and then there's stuff like next-gen Legend and TR13 but the differences are negligible in my opinion and I can only have 10 options max so there.
Here's a refresher in case you need it:
1. Tomb Raider (1996)
2. Tomb Raider II / III
3. Last Revelation / Chronicles
4. Angel of Darkness
5. Legend / Anniversary
6. Underworld / Guardian of Light
7. Tomb Raider (2013)
8. Temple of Osiris
9. GO
10. Rise / Shadow
I adore Legend but I've eventually fallen for Temple of Osiris Lara as she's literally a mix of Underworld and Rise Lara #UnifiedLara™ I also like Angel of Darkness Lara
Of all the titles in Songs for Pierre Chuvin, "Their Gods Do Not Have Surgeons" is the most strikingly melancholy. It's not just that Darnielle's voice sounds muted and plaintive, that the chorus is one request, over and over again:
Restore
the temple
of Isis
at Memphis
It's not even that the singer wants something so simple. It's that he wants something that the listeners believe is good.
The title of this one is a reference to Chapter 8 of A Chronicle of the Last Pagans, where a Christian mob destroys a number of statues honoring Egyptian deities, breaking off their limbs and shouting "their gods do not have surgeons." Which is conspicuously wrong in the song, because one of the most famous stories to survive from Egyptian religion is one where a deity performs a reconstructive operation.
I doubt my USAmerican upbringing offered me a nuanced look at ancient Egyptian religious belief, but even as a child I was familiar with the story of how the god Set dismembered his brother Osiris, and how his sister/wife Isis (almost) put him back together to conceive a son. This myth is present in the lyrics of Their Gods Do Not Have Surgeons—the Christians are compared to "beasts" with "pawprints" in a way that matches Set's quasi-canine depictions and I'm pretty sure the line "return the peace you took from me" is a homophone/pun on the missing "piece" of Osiris' body which prevented his complete resurrection—and relevant to its rhetorical situation.
The "they" and the "you" of the song are Christians of the (reunited?) Roman Empire in Egypt, people familiar with Jesus' comparison of his own body to the temple in Jerusalem and his assertion that it will be destroyed and reconstructed. When Darnielle sings "you who come demanding proof/let your God rebuild this roof," it's especially poignant because's he's arguing that if only the singer were offered a chance, ie if only he were allowed to worship the surgeon-goddess Isis in her temple, he could demonstrate that Christianity is not the only religious tradition to believe in a resurrection.
The reason for the pathos of the chorus becomes clear at the end of the second verse, with the request "show us the goodwill you were shown/or leave us alone." The poignancy of that plea comes from the recognition that if the people oppressing you would only listen to you, they would realize you love similar stories, that they won't listen to you, that religion will not prevent people with imperial support from acting imperialistically, and that you're desperate enough to ask anyway.
The other tracks on Songs for Pierre Chuvin showcase a range of reactions to the Christianization of the Roman Empire, from violent resistance in "Aulon Raid" to syncretism and covert hope in "Exegetic Chains." But "Their Gods Do Not Have Surgeons" is special to me for the raw pain it depicts and the way it frames that pain as a product of hypocrisy and religious myopia.
Unlocking the Sirian Starseed: Are You One from Sirius?
From Legends to Lore: The Stellar Chronicles of Sirius
Now, our ancestors were also mesmerized by Sirius. Oftentimes, they looked skyward, seeking answers, guidance, or simply wonder.
The ancient Egyptians saw Sirius as Isis, the divine goddess. Joined in cosmic dance with her beloved Osiris. The magic of Sirius’ reappearance right before dawn heralded the bountiful flooding of the Nile. A gift of life, fertility, and hope.
And isn’t life full of synchronicities?
Think of those moments when something keeps showing up. The same numbers, signs, or perhaps, a star? Sirius, with its brilliance, could be one of those spiritual markers, especially for those who resonate with its energy.
From ancient to contemporary, the tales of Sirius have spread.
Could we, as a collective, have been influenced by these Sirian energies throughout history?
Theories suggest that Sirian souls might have incarnated to guide us – in spirit, in technology, in love. It’s a vast, beautiful tapestry of connection.
The Cosmic Dance: Sirian Energies and Earthly Resonance
The universe is, at its core, a vast symphony of energies, frequencies, and resonances. When we think of Sirian Starseeds, we must also consider the energies they carry with them and how these may impact our world.
Could the resonance Sirian Starseeds feel with our planet be the product of an ancient and intricate bond? Some believe that Earth and Sirius share a deep cosmic connection, not just through Starseeds but on an energetic, vibrational level.
This spiritual perspective suggests that Earth receives waves of cosmic energy from the Sirius system, guiding our planet’s spiritual evolution. The periodic alignments between Earth and Sirius, much like the mesmerizing dance between Sirius A and Sirius B, might open channels for these energies to flow.
Sirian Starseeds, attuned to these frequencies, could very well act as conduits, amplifying and grounding these energies into our collective consciousness. This would not only elevate their personal journeys but potentially uplift all of humanity.
What’s even more fascinating is the synchronicity of events and spiritual awakenings that occur when these alignments happen.
Are they mere coincidences? Or do they suggest a greater design, a universal blueprint that we’re just beginning to fathom?

Sirian Starseed Symbols and Signs
Cosmic symbols shown in space.
Symbols have long been a powerful tool for connection, understanding, and communication. For Sirian Starseeds, certain symbols resonate deeply, serving as beacons of their cosmic heritage and reminders of their mission on Earth.
Sirian Glyphs and Seals
Throughout history and in various esoteric traditions, there are glyphs and seals that are said to emanate the energy of the Sirius star system.
The Star: A simple, shining star, often depicted with five points, resonates with many Sirians. It serves as a universal representation of their home star and the light they bring to Earth.
Water Symbols: Given the deep connection many Sirian Starseeds feel with water, symbols like waves, dolphins, or other aquatic lifeforms often serve as reminders of their possible aquatic lineage in Sirius.
Crystal Connections
Certain crystals are believed to hold the vibrational frequency of Sirius, assisting Starseeds in connecting with their roots.
spiritual insight and connection to star energies, particularly that of Sirius.
Moldavite: While its primary connection is to the stars in general, many Sirians feel a resonance with this tektite, valuing its transformational energies.
Dreams and Meditative Visions
For some Sirian Starseeds, their connection becomes most apparent during states of altered consciousness like dreams or meditations.
Blue Beings: Visions of ethereal beings emanating blue light or having aquatic features might signify a Sirian presence or guidance.
Starship or Cosmic Journeys: Dreams where they are traveling the universe, especially towards a bright star, might indicate a connection to Sirius.
Embodied Reminders
The Sirian energy doesn’t only manifest in symbols outside of them but can be present within.
Affinity for the color blue: This could manifest as a favorite color or a color they feel particularly comfortable or powerful wearing.
Pulses or Vibrations: Some Sirian Starseeds report feeling a distinct vibration or pulse when they come into contact with Sirius-related information, symbols, or during specific alignments with the Sirius star system.
In a very similar vein to my last post, House of Anubis Kane Chronicles cross over fic idea where after Nina looses her parents the first nome takes her in. They also take Eddie in, and they teach both of them some magic.
But after a few years, they discover that Nina is cursed, and that she's connected to Anubis, and that Eddie is connected to Osiris, and since this takes place pr Kane Chronicles, the magicians official stance is very anti god, and Eddie and Nina get kicked out.
Like since they're kids, they don't get banished banished, and they get to keep their magic stuff, but they no longer get to be affiliated with any nome and no longer receive formal training. Eddie goes back to his mom, and Nina goes to her gran, and the two stay in touch and have a very sibling relationship.
And then they show up at Anubis house already knowing magic and their destinies and shit.
I can't decide if I want Nina to be unaffected by Akhenaten's curse because it doesn't affect everyone, and possibly only affects males in the Kane Chronicles, or if I want it to be like Anubis decreed that the Chosen One curse takes precedence so, she can't die young from the other curse, and maybe Nina suffers chronic pain every time she does magic to "balance" it out.
I mean that would help explain why she doesn't magically solve all of her problems in season one, and then when Eddie shows up he can help her banish Senkhara early. And maybe Sibuna keeps going after the mask just to keep Victor from getting it or something. IDK
my current slenderverse series watchlist is so fucking long waaahh
i started everymanHYBRID and tribetwelve, havent finished them yet, but after i do my list is: whisperedfaith, mlanderson0, darkharvest00, stanfrederick, TJAprojects, tulpa effect, his collector/APcollection, apple of our eye, my dark journal, the angels game, the outside agents, 0nemoresoul2thecall, seeking truth/the mystic, afraid at home, future refused 2 change, coyote is awesome, the dead are watching, caughtnotsleeping, osiris chronicles, SAparanormal hunters, the undecided five, one bad dream, 5zer02, 004steps, sword and legend, hi im mary mary
and after i finish those im scavenging the internet for more
Maybe SINF would be better off being left for a separate crossover to ML. Among other events, Yggdrasil is destroyed in the first book (so we probably don't want to pair it with the Magnus Chase (Riordanverse) part of the crossover), Ares/Mars Ultor has been petrified for a while, and I'm not going to spoil what their role is but Osiris and Isis would not fit with the Kane Chronicles (also Riordanverse) area.
Maybe something very loose with just some of the concepts.
