Dog boy!Ian/Cat boy!Anthony - Wag

For a golden retriever hybrid human, Ian was never as expressive as people imagined he would be. He knows it can be disappointing, his stoic nature, but he just isn’t as outwardly expressive as most people, or even most hybrids. Shayne is also a golden retriever, and he is the total opposite of Ian in every sense. He’s easily excited, ears shooting up with interest and his fluffy golden blonde tail wagging at the slightest hint of joy.

So, when Anthony returned to Smosh Ian suddenly finds all his puppy instincts kicking in. They’ll be filming and Anthony will be telling some story, some joke, and before Ian knows it, his tail wags a mile a minute as he giggles along.

“That’s so cute,” Courtney says, cooing at him.

Ian flushes a delicate pink, and his co-workers laugh fondly, the way they always tease each other within the company. Anthony is a black cat and he’s sleek yet affectionate by nature. He doesn’t have direct outward displays of his happiness besides the extremely rare times he purrs, so he’s quick to speak about those things that make him happy, that bring him joy.

“It just means he’s happy,” Anthony says, his voice dripping with fondness, and his own long, black tail laying lazily over Ian’s. The feeling of sleek fur against his own fluffy tail only makes Ian flush a deeper shade of pink and somewhere off-screen Kimmy calls cut for them to take a break.

They are filming their updated take on the Pokemon in Real Life sketch in the new Smosh house. It’s a break between filming scenes and Ian is curled in the giant bean bag chair they are using in the video. He’s fucking around on the working Gameboy, playing Fire Red and leveling up his Charmander, just as Anthony strolls into the room.

“You’re still playing that?” Anthony asks with amusement.

“Yeah, I caught a Pidgey.”

“Pff, Pidgey sucks, dude,” Anthony says with a laugh.

He comes to stand next to the bean bag and then with no preamble, Anthony is nudging Ian over with his elbows and urging him to scoot over. Then Anthony is settling into the giant bean bag chair alongside Ian, his cat tail curling across Anthony’s own thigh and then Ian’s.

Ian keeps playing the game and wills his tail to stay still where it’s tucked against the chair. He hates that he loses control so easily now around Anthony, and while there is no shame in being happy and letting his tail wag, he doesn’t want to come off as some dumb eager puppy, he doesn’t want to weird Anthony out.

Anthony though, tilts his head back against the chair and his cheek touches Ian’s shoulder. He watches Ian play on the borrowed Gameboy. Ian can feel one of the fuzzy tips of his ear brushing against Ian’s neck just barely.

It is quiet and peaceful between them, a new dynamic in their older years. A comfortable silence that doesn’t need to be filled with jokes and stories and laughter to hide a tension under the surface. They can exist together in this space, in the quiet, content, and comfortable.

It takes a few minutes before Ian hears the deep rumble of Anthony purring. He doesn’t say anything, just glances over at the other man, his best friend. Anthony’s eyes are closed, and his head is nestled against Ian’s shoulder, but he’s purring warm in his chest. It’s cute, sweet, makes something heavy and fond shift in Ian’s body. As much as Ian hates wagging his tail in public, Anthony hates purring, and Ian hasn’t heard it much since they reunited. He remembers being a teenager, sleeping in the same bed, and the kind of happiness that comes with being a kid, how the rhythmic rumbling of Anthony’s purr always lulled him to sleep when he spent the night.

Hearing it now was like coming home in a way and Ian cannot stop the way his tail wags even trapped under his own body, the happiness filling him like a warm summer day. He doesn’t say anything, and his wagging doesn’t disturb Anthony, and they stay that way, together, comfortable, quiet, purely happy to just be around each other once again.

Hey guys! Back for another month! A month of a lot of small compliments sprinkled throughout this time around, but we still got quite a few full-on great complimentary moments. One in particular was very special 🥰

So let's get into it...

September 2023

Thinking OUTSIDE The Box (Herd Mentality)

Right off the bat, first day of the month, we got a Games video, and this video actually started off a theme throughout this month. The boys were in quite a few videos where they were playing games this month and were either competing against or working as a team so we got a lot of them complimenting each other on a job well down, plus the bestie-ism was shining through :-

Q: 'Name a brand beginning with an A’

Anthony: "I went to clothing for some reason."

lan: "Oh then I know what you did then."

Anthony: "Do you?'

lan: "You went to clothing.”

Anthony: "I put American Eagle. I'm thinking mall culture."

lan: [nodding] “I was thinking- I actually thought you'd either put American Eagle or All Saints."

Q: 'Name an animal beginning with a P’

lan: "I'm giggling [at his answer]."

Anthony: "I think I know why you're giggling.”

lan: "I put p**sy!"

Anthony: "I knnnew."

Anthony: "Did you [lan] just win?"

lan: "Oh!'

Anthony: "That's a win!" [cheering and clapping] "Yoooo! Because the nose [lan's answer for that round] knows!'

Q: 'Out of all the animals in the world, which is the cutest?'

lan: "I said cat."

Anthony: "I said kitten."

[everyone debating whether it counts as the same animal]

Anthony: "Also Ian," [shows him his card] "I wrote cat and crossed it out. I almost wrote it."

Q: 'Who is the toughest Disney princess?'

lan: "I did, I think her name is Merida?"

Anthony: "I put the one from Brave."

lan: "Oh!"

Anthony: "Yeah!"

I actually made a post of this moment because it was so cute! How excited they were they had the same answer and also Anthony's little tap dance when he realises 😊

l also loved Angela pointing it out :-

Angela: "Wait, that was so cool that you both said that really random one."

Chanse: "That is fun. Yeah."

Anthony: "Yeah."

lan: "She's tough."

Anthony: "But isn't she- she's like an archer."

Angela: "Sure, but like nobody talks about that movie."

Jackie: "I thought of it too, but I was like 'That's too much of a deep cut.'"

What did I say about the bestie-ism shining through? 🥰

lan: "Hey everybody. Here's a good one, Anthony I feel like you and I are gonna be aligned on this one."

Q: 'Name a rapper'

lan: "I said Drake."

Anthony: "I wrote Snoop Dogg."

So obviously not the same answer but very cute how lan thought they would be on the same wavelength and he gives the reason as to why he thought that :-

lan: "So Anthony and I played a, we played a fun little game yesterday, where we went on Spotify and we were trying to guess who were the top artists, because it ranks them-"

Literally awing out loud! the fact they were just playing that game together, it wasn't for a video or anything, just something they were doing together in their free time 🥹

Bonus - HELP! I became an NPC!

So this next moment doesn't really fall under the 'compliment' umbrella, but it is something that has become a sub-genre of these posts - is the 'daddy’ thing. Yep, you guessed it folks, Anthony was at it once again. Although, like in the 'You Posted That' episode, he's switching it up and now he's referring to himself as 'daddy’ :-

Anthony: [face appearing as if through a phone screen like in the main sketch]

lan: [pretends to put his fingers up Anthony's nose and then into his mouth]

Anthony: "Ooooh, daddy like."

Why are they like this 🤦‍♀️

Also I think @lilac-hecox & @only-frann summed up a perfect description of this Compliments Series :-

Hope you guys don't mind me tagging you, but this is literally what this series is 😄

Anyways, that was just a jokey little one, but as I said, it's now a 'thing' of these posts so I couldn't not include it.

Moving on...

We Already Regret This Embarrassing Photoshoot ft. Smosh

The boys went back on Good Mythical Morning for the first time in almost 8 years, and although this time around we didn't get any frosting foot massages or Titanic re-enactments there was a few compliment-adjacent moments :-

Link: [talking about the photo they had to re-create] "And lan, I gotta give it to you, man. You remembered a lot."

Anthony: "He did! The glasses. The shirt."

Anthony: "I'm feeling good about that one [their photo]."

lan: "I'm feeling good."

And then we got one of their high-five/hand-grip moments that they do a lot.

[lan and Anthony announced as the winners]

Anthony: "Yeeeah!'

Another high-five, of course

Anthony: "Yeah! Let's go!'

They just absolutely live for congratulating each other on anything and everything now and it's very sweet. And there's more to come!

Food Battle 2011 - Flashback w/ Smosh

As they're rewatching Food Battle 2011, lan points out in one of the shots how his cross-country team photo can be seen in the background :-

Anthony: "That's you lined up with all the cross-country... pals.

Oop was that jealous!anthony shining through a little there 🫢

lan: [laughs] "Pals."

Anthony: "Backlit. Looking epic."

So again, just another small little compliment, but lan's cross-country/running is brought up again and praised/complimented by Anthony in...

HELP! I became an NPC! Watch Party

[discussing how American sports are confusing]

Anthony: "I feel like Smosh and sports just don't mix in my brain."

lan: [laughs] “What sport do you think that aligns the most with Smosh?"

They go through multiple silly suggestions between the two of them and ones they read from the chat, before lan suggests :-

lan: “I feel like, and it's probably just because I did it, but cross-country. Smosh is cross-country."

Anthony: "Just cause you're part of Smosh and you did it?"

lan: "And you just keep going, and you just keep going. Just keep running."

Anthony: "Is that how you felt doing Smosh even when I left?"

lan: “Yeah. Like just gotta keep going. Just one more mile. One more mile."

Oh lan 🥺 I just had to pause to react to that before I get to the complimentary part of this conversation, but that's so sad. But also a perfect description of what I imagine it was like for him during those times when Anthony was gone. Having to remind himself to just keep going and pushing forward regardless.

Anthony: "What was your longest run?"

lan: "I did a marathon."

Anthony: “Yeah, I remember you ran past my street and I woke up bright and early, and I was like [pretends to be half asleep and waves].”

lan: [smiling] “Yeah, yeah I did."

Anthony: "How long was that run?"

lan: "26.2 miles."

Anthony: "Daaaamm, I didn't know [the] marathon was 26.2 miles, shiiiit.”

lan: “Yeah, and I averaged a little under an 8 minute mile.”

Anthony: “That is not bad. For 20 times 26?! That's good!"

So couple things to cover here!

1. Anthony waking up early to catch lan run by his street so he could wave to him CAN YOU HEAR ME CRYING 😭 that's the cutest thing ever!

2. Anthony saying how good of a time lan got in the marathon is so sweet. I live for Anthony bigging him up 🥹

Anthony's Birthday

This next lot I'd call complimentary-by-extension. Anthony's birthday rolled around and in typical lan fashion this was the birthday tweet we got from him :-

Oh lan, wouldn't expect anything else from you 😅

Thought that was going to be it but then Mr. Padilla came through for us! And this was the particularly special moment I mentioned in the beginning of this post. He made the post linked in the main header of this section, thanking everyone for the birthday wishes and said how it had been Mykie and his anniversary the week previous and how she took him to the Grand Canyon. The post was all photos of the two of them, but in amongst it all, he included this gem :-

Isn't this just the softest thing.

I mean...

1. We finally get to see lan interacting with Anthony's dogs 🙌 Also the fact you can tell how comfortable they must be around him given the fact she's laying on his chest quite content which means lan is around them often enough to have that bond with them 🥹

2. The fact they spent Anthony's birthday together after so many years of birthdays unshared & it also makes Ian's tweet funnier, like him being next to Anthony, realising people are probably expecting him to publicly wish him 'happy birthday’, him writing the most basic tweet with a low-quality gif, posting it, and then going right back to hanging out with Anthony 😆

Aaaaand…...

3. Probably the softest thing about this, and where I'm going to get a bit emotional writing/thinking about it because I have a lot of feelings about it, is the fact Anthony included that photo of lan within his birthday/anniversary post. It's just so unbelievably soft. I cannot get over it. There was was no mention of lan in the caption or anywhere else, it was all photos of Anthony and Mykie, but within it, this one little candid shot of lan. It's so special. And says a lot without explicitly saying anything at all. It's just like, 'here's a post of things that matter to me.’ I like to imagine Anthony choosing the photos for that post, and even with it being a birthday/anniversary post, he still made the conscious decision to include that photo of lan. Something he didn't need to do, the photo wasn't relevant to the post, and yet, he included it anyways. He wants people to know that's how he spent his birthday, with the people he loves most - he couldn't not include that photo of lan. And I think it comes back around to the fact he's just so happy to have lan in his life again and he'll take every opportunity to say/show it. I can picture him sitting there looking at lan laying on his floor across from him, his dog on lan's chest, and his heart just feeling so full and happy at the fact he has his best friend with him again when a year ago he didn't think this would ever be a reality for him again. It's just so, so special ❤️

Finishing off Anthony's birthday was something that came a few days after :-

What I also love about this, is the fact that lan never tagged Anthony in his tweet and given it was a few days later that Anthony responded and by that point the tweet would have been buried in his timeline, and also that Anthony barely uses Twitter. Knowing all these things it's very likely that Anthony searched for lan's account for him to see that tweet 🥰

POKEMON ROOMMATE BATTLE Watch Party

In the BTS for the POKEMON ROOMMATE BATTLE sketch lan keeps getting distracted playing Pokémon for the whole shoot, eventually getting the gameboy taken off of him by Erin 😅 In this livestream they're watching the sketch and Anthony says :-

[scene where 'lazy lan' is sitting in the beanbag playing Pokémon not wanting to move]

Anthony: “This is actually what you were like on set that day cause you were just playing Pokémon the whole day."

lan: "Oh yeah, so we rented that prop from like a prop house."

Anthony: “The gameboy."

lan: "The gameboy. And it was working - it was full battery, Pokémon Red was in it, and I booted it up and was like ‘There's no way. No. No’. and I was just straight up playing Pokémon on and it was-"

Anthony: "Was it everything you remembered?"

lan: "It was sick, dude. It was fun. I was having fun. I was getting really distracted and it was not good for the shoot. But I think I got my Charmander to like level 11 or 12."

Anthony: "Yeah, you nailed it."

Just a cute little compliment I felt should be included 🙂 But sticking with the Pokémon theme, it leads me on to the next compliment...

‘I Choose You' Smosh Hat

Anthony posted this Instagram promoting the Smosh Pokémon-style hat they released as merch, but what stood out to a lot of us is his choice of the first photo + the caption :-

THE IMPLICATIONS! Him crowning lan with the hat and him saying ‘I choose you' 🥹 It reminds me of something I covered in my first Compliments post - the section covering the Smoshcast with Anthony and Shayne saying how they came back together and "choose to be best friends again" 💛🖤

Another round of games and compliment-adjacent moments :-

Ian: [handing the cards out]

Anthony: "Oh, look at you. You're providing for your family.”

Just found this moment cute, Anthony referring to them as a family 🥹

Anthony: “I'm also 'Hand Solo' though, so [the other card Jackie was going to pick]?

Arasha: "I'm so pissed [because Anthony is winning]."

Anthony: [picks Jackie's card] “That was good. Although, I will say, I know this was yours, lan [from his handwriting]. That was an adventure, man. I appreciate that."

This isn't the only time the handwriting thing is brought up in the video :-

Keith: "Dude, where's my car?' turns into, 'Dude, where's my car? Oh wait, I can't drive?’ By far the best one, lan. And I know this came from you."

Anthony: "I know it came from lan too, cause I can see the handwriting."

Why is Anthony being able recognise Ian's handwriting so cute. He just knows him so well ☺️

One other moment I loved from this video was something I already made a post about here. Of Jackie referring to them as 'best friends' and Anthony laughing the hardest at his answer firing shots at lan, again, bestie-ism shining through 😄

Joycon HIDE AND SEEK (Everybody 1, 2, Switch)

Last one of the month! This video was full of so many great moments - two lanthony piggybacks, so many bestie moments, and them just being overly cute the whole time 🥰

And also many moments of them complimenting each other on doing well in the games. So many that I decided to compile a little video. Enjoy! :-

I think it's off topic but I wanna talk about the almost non-existent moments when Ian is embarassed of something.

Do you remember the video when Ian and Anthony are watching fandom content, and then suddenly Ian says "let's see Ianthony" and when they are watching all the stuff, Ian has all his face tomato red? He always covers his face with his hands.

I think he always does cute gestures when he has a huge emotion, like clapping hands (adorably clapping his hands) when he's excited.

Ok sorry, i love seeing him being cute.

I love him going "let's watch ianthony" with an embarrassed face and then start blushing crazy with every post 😭😭😭😭 he loved it ok 🥺🥺🥺 he's such a babygirl with blushy face too💖

“Woah! I would’ve never guessed you’re an only child!” Julie gushed from her dining room table. You, Frank, and Julie, had all agreed to hang out at Julie's house for a lunch get together. It was honestly really relaxing, with how stressful everything had been lately. As lunch went on, chatting easily and letting the time go by, you found yourself slipping little by little.

“Really?” You asked from your spot across from her. She had made you (your favorite food) and honestly it was the best kind you’d ever had. Something about Julie making it for you made it taste better.

“Mhm!” She nodded, her hair bouncing up and down. “I have three siblings! Beau, Frann, and Josey. You just seemed like, I dunno, you’d be the youngest.”

Frank hummed in agreement over his cup of tea. “I have a brother but we’re in the same age range. Irish twins, they’re called. So I didn’t feel like he was younger or older than I, even though I’m technically older.” He ended that with a small, smug smirk that he quickly hid behind his tea cup.

You contemplated their words, as you took another bite of your food. “Well,” You said, looking between the two. “You could be my pretend siblings, if ya want.”

“Oh, (Y/N), don’t speak with your mouth full.” Frank leaned over to wipe a bit of food stuck to your face. “Here, let me.” He pulled his pocket square out of his chest pocket to clean the rest of it off.

“T’ank you.” You smiled up at him, tilting your head to the side to allow easier access. It was a simple slip up of the word, honestly, but it didn’t stop Frank and Julie from sharing a knowing look.

“Say, (Y/N), we’re almost done eating lunch.” Julie said, her tone light and cheerful. “Wanna play a game after we clean up?”

Now this caught your attention. You liked it when Julie helped clean you up after eating, she always helped brush your hair, wash your hands and face, and sometimes sang to fill the silence.. “What game?” You asked, curiosity nipping at you.

“We could play pretend, or I could grab my play butterflies from home,” Frank listed off on his fingers. “There’s hide and seek, arts and crafts, whatever you wanna do, honestly.”

“Oh! Hide and seek!” You wiggled excitedly in your chair. “T’at’s my favorite.” You grinned excitedly. Julie's house had all the best hiding spots, and you consider yourself an expert when it came to hiding.

Julie clapped her hands together. “That settles it then! We’ll finish up with lunch, get you cleaned up, and have ourselves a nice little playdate.”

You and Julie finished what little was left on your plates before Frank took them both to sit in the sink, stating he’ll clean them later when the three of you are done playing. They both take one of your hands, leading you upstairs and to Julie's little washroom.

“I’ll brush your hair and we’ll wash our hands. Frank will clean your face and we’ll get all ready for hide and seek, how does that sound?” Julie maneuvered you to sit on the little stool she had as she grabbed her hairbrush.

“Good!”

“Now, do you wanna hide, (Y/N)?” Frank asked as he wet a washcloth, pumping facial cleaner into it, before ringing it out to start cleaning your face.

“Yes please!” You couldn’t help but wiggle excitedly. This was going to be so much fun!

Baking. It doesn’t have to be for a video I just need to read some Anthony/Damien giggly baking antics

This was so much fun! They're very much flirty but not established... Yet! Art credit: @only-frann thank you so much for the art!!

"So now it says six cups of flour..." Damien said reading off the recipe. Anthony looked at him wide eyed.

"Are you sure it says six cups that seems like a lot..." he said questioning.

"Listen Antonio," Anthony rolled his eyes at the nickname, "I'm just saying what the recipes says!" He chuckled. Guess he couldn't deny that.

"Alright, yes chef," he said saluting and it was Damien's turn to roll his eyes. He poured 6 cups of flour into the mixing bowl.

"Okay aaand- two eggs... How much is that in egg substitute?" he asked looking at Anthony. He shrugged.

"Ion know," he said shrugging his shoulders but he had a smirk on his face. Damien hit him with a whisk.

"Just spill it vegan. Or else I'll put real eggs!" he threatened. He put his hand up in surrender.

"But isn't this my birthday cake?" Damien stared at him making an exaggerated angry face holding the whisk up. "Alright alright its six tablespoons don't abuse me again please sir," he said chuckling.

"That's better. Now watch as a master works!" Damien mixed everything together before wiping his forehead. What he didn't know was that a bit of batter made its way from the whisk to his cheek which Anthony couldn't help but chuckle at. He moved in closer stroking his cheek wiping off the batter before licking it off his finger. Damien flushed at the action.

"Hmm... I think it's a bit too sweet... Or maybe that was just from you," he said smirking. Damien's face got even redder before playfully shoving him.

"S-shut up-" he said trying to focus back on the task at hand. Anthony just continued to watch bent over the counter hand on his chin. "S-stop watching me so intently I can't work under these conditions," he said jokingly but the flush deepened. He was so cute.

"Sorry chef was just "watching a master work" as you said before," he said smiling.

"Well you don't have to do that anymore go do something else while I put this in the oven!" he said shooing Anthony out of the kitchen. He poured the batter into the pan looking rather proud of himself. He wasn't the best at cooking but he was accomplished enough. He took a little taste and hummed. It was sweet but not too much which was perfect. He placed it into the oven wiping his hands. He looked at the mixing bowl before dipping his finger in and licking off the remaining batter.

"And you weren't going to share?" Damien jumped at the sound of his voice. Anthony stood in the doorway smirking once again.

"Don't scare me like that! And no I was just tasting it," he grumbled. Anthony only smiled walking closer also dipping his finger in the mixing bowl as well.

"Yep definitely less sweet like this," he said looking at Damien. He rolled his eyes. He dipped his finger in again and booped it on Anthony's nose giggling. He licked off what he could reach before wiping the rest away.

"Shut up and let's go birthday boy. We got like 20 minutes until it's done," he put a hand on his chin. "How about a round of Mario Kart?"

"I thought you'd never ask."

The smell of cake filled the house as they played. They were pretty evenly matched but at the moment Damien was killing it. He threw a blue shell behind him then past the finish line. "Yes!" he yelled standing up and sticking out his tongue at Anthony. He could only shake his head in defeat. That's when the timer went off and Damien made his way back to the kitchen. He pulled out the cake and set it on the cooling rack. Anthony came up behind him to pick at the cake and he smacked his hand away.

"We have to let it cool!" Anthony chuckled putting his hands on his waist moving him out of the way. Damien tried not to react to he touch but he felt the heat in his ears.

"My birthday my rules," he said picking at it again. Damien just gaped at him.

"Fine if your cake has lumps it's your fault," he huffed. He turned away to make the icing looking at a the recipe again. He dumped the ingredients into the bowl before mixing this time with an electric mixer arms too tired from the cake. He adds a few drops of purple food coloring making it pretty and pastel. He smiled when he was happy with the finished project and turned back to the cake... That had more pieces missing. He scowled. "Anthony!" And he rushed back in.

"What?" he asked innocently. Damien pouted.

"I just wanted to make your cake look nice but now it's going to be ugly!" he said exasperated. Anthony chuckled and rolled his eyes. He poked his pout making him flush once more.

"It's going to be perfect either way because you made it," he said gently. Damien shoved his hand away softly looking away.

"You can't just say stuff like that... People might get the wrong idea," he said softly. Anthony cocked his head to the side. What did he mean by that? "Now get outta here I gotta decorate it!" he said pushing him out of the kitchen once more. Anthony resisted not really wanting to leave.

"Wait wait wait why can't I-" but he was already back in the living room. He sighed before sitting on the couch and crossing his arms looking at the TV. It was still on the Mario Kart main screen so he sighed and picked up a controller. Might as well kill some time...

Damien looked at the cake and wondered whether or not to fancy it up or just put the icing on top and call it a day. He sighed cutting it flat before cutting it in half. Fancy it was because he wanted it to be nice. He frosted it best he could still a thing he was new to but by the end he thought it looked pretty good. He took one of those icing pens and wrote in crappy cursive "Happy Birthday Anthony!" and smiled. He took the candles and stuck them in. "Antonio!" he called towards the living room and he heard him scramble back into the kitchen. He couldn't help but giggle at how fast Anthony popped into the doorway. He showed off the cake and Anthony's face lit up as he got closer.

"We're not gonna light the candles until everyone's here but... Happy birthday," he said gently handing him the cake. It wasn't much really but it was homemade and had effort behind it. Anthony just stared at it for a moment all its imperfections and just the effort really hitting him in that moment. He swallowed before setting it down which made Damien confused. Anthony then looked at him then stepped into his space and hugged him tightly. He froze for a moment before hugging back.

"Thank you... Really," he said gently emotion clear in his voice and Damien flushed even more.

"It was really no problem I just wanted to do something nice for my friend," he said softly. They stayed there for a moment Anthony just enjoying him in his arms before finally pulling away. Damien looked everywhere but him a little overwhelmed and he took his face in his hands making him look. Pretty eyes looked into his nervously and he couldn't help but lean in breath mingling for a moment. Anthony swallowed thickly.

"Can I kiss you?" he asked softly and Damien nodded not trusting his own voice. Anthony kissed him gently and he melted into it. It was soft and sweet and quick as Anthony pulled away. "Happy birthday to me," he said a little breathlessly with a smile. Damien flushed even more before playfully pushing him away but Anthony kept him close. Then there was a knock on the door making them both jump. "I'd like more of that for my birthday later," he said a fire in his eyes making Damien shiver. Then Anthony went to greet the guests as he put the cake in the fridge for later. He brought a hand to his lips still tingling from the kiss and he smiled.
