Book review- 5 stars . I like contemporary romances....but it's been a minute since I've read a handful here and there. So when my awesome friend @readswithmj not only recommended this book/series/author as it is one of her faves but gifted it to me I was excited...but also nervous because I was afraid I wouldn't love it as much as she does. No worries were needed because I loved it. Was I always in love with the MC, Joss Butler? Not at all. She was very frustrating. Understandably so but still so. So why saved her for me? Therapy. ( Not me in therapy. The book didn't wreck me like that 😂). She had trauma. She gets that she has trauma. And she goes and gets help for it. One hundred percent on board with this. But therapy isn't a quick fix. It takes time. Especially when you fight it. So yea, Joss got frustrating at times. But I wanted her to have her HEA with Braden. Oh who's Braden, you ask? When he's a big ol' bucket of Scottish alpha YUM. 📖 Nouvelle lecture Bonsoir ! N'ayant pas lu hier, je me suis bien rattrapé aujourd'hui en lisant déjà la moitié du roman. Je me suis attaqué au deuxième tome de la saga Dublin street de Samantha Young. J'aime beaucoup découvrir Jo. Cette jeune femme à déjà vécu plusieurs vies et ce qu'elle attend de la vie n'est autre que le bonheur de son jeune frère. Mais, tout va changer avec l'arrivée de Cam. Ce deuxième tome est tout autant plaisant que le premier et l'histoire de Jo est touchante à souhait. Je vous laisse découvrir la quatrième de couverture du roman (peut se lire independement mais c'est préférable de lire le premier tome car on retrouve les personnages) : Entre un père absent et une mère alcoolique, Johanna Walker,vingt-quatre ans, a toujours agi dans l’intérêt de son petit frère Cole. Pour lui assurer un avenir confortable, elle va même jusqu’à choisir ses partenaires selon l’épaisseur de leur portefeuille… Mais avec Cameron MacCabe, ce fragile équilibre vole soudain en éclats. Si son nouveau collègue du Club 39 ne répond en rien à ses « critères de sélection », se montrant même particulièrement mesquin avec elle, son regard ténébreux laisse pourtant entrevoir la promesse d’une passion interdite et tumultueuse. I knew how deep the cut was when people refused to see beyond their own perceptions and judgments of you.

Despite myself, I think I really did feel bad for him. However, and I would never admit it out loud, I was incredibly curious to know what it was he’d been sentenced for. 📖 Nouvelle lecture Bonjour ! Ayant fini ma dernière lecture ce matin, j'ai quasiment commencer à la suite ma nouvelle lecture. Il s'agit du premier tome de Dublin Street de Samantha Young. Les deux personnages viennent à peine de se rencontrer qu'il y a déjà une connexion sexuelle incroyable entre eux. Mais, ils me font bien rire pour le moment. Je vous laisse découvrir la quatrième de couverture : Quand Jocelyn Butler pénètre dans le magnifique appartement de Dublin Street, elle croit vivre un rêve. Un cadre somptueux, une quartier agréable d’Édimbourg, et une future colocataire des plus adorables. Ellie Carmichael est certes un peu trop enjouée et curieuse pour le caractère secret de Jocelyn, pour qui se lier d'amitié avec autrui a toujours été une épreuve, mais elle lui est aussitôt sympathique. Son frère, en revanche... Beau comme un dieu, mais aussi arrogant que déstabilisant, Braden Carmichael fait voler en éclat son fragile équilibre.
