okay i need hair help 🌝 i have long straight korean hair. honestly it was super healthy and good until a few products ruined it 🥲 i’ve been trying to repair, and i heard that straight hair shouldn’t be brushed wet. that makes sense to me, but my question is what do i do then 🌝 after i wash, i air dry, but leaving it without brushing just feels so chaotic? and then it takes SO much longer to dry like HOURS longer it seems. do i just run my fingers through it? or super wide tooth comb or? i use a wet brush (the brand), and have for most of my life. like i want to stop brushing it wet because i do think it damages it but idk how to manage the mess if i don’t 😭
edit: nyx just said to detangle it before i get out of the shower but like it’s the towel drying that makes it so tangly 😭 does that also damage it? 🤨 bc wait a minute… but then how am i supposed to get all of that water out of there 😭 it’s so WET you guys 😭
also if you have product recommendations please drop them 🫶 i currently use not your mother’s for shamp and cond and then do a deep condition with olaplex 8 like once a week.

MBO Robert's Rebellion: Episode 8
have been away so this one was a bit slower but!! martells are back. you can probably tell where this season is ending now.
timeline-wise, think this is all still roughly in line with canon dates! will be skipping forward two years next (wonder what for)
Prev: Episode 1, Episode 2, Episode 3, Episode 4, Episode 5, Episode 6, Episode 7
Next: Episode 9
title for this one (like two weeks later cos I forgot): my big fat targaryen wedding idk
One year since our last nonsense!!! We open on Shipbreaker Bay, where a ship is… breaking lol. Steffon Baratheon clings to the splintered remains of the Windproud, desperately scanning the chaotic scene for his wife Cassana. Sees her drowning some feet away, and makes his way towards her only for a HUGE WAVE to crash over them both. obliterated 😔
Robert (17) and Stannis (15) at a window; Robert makes to go down there himself, but is restrained by his father’s men - he howls in grief and rage. Stannis remains stood stiffly by the window, a vague tremor about him. Cressen places a hand on his shoulder. Baby Renly howling in the background…..
....turns to baby Viserys howling in Rhaella’s arms as Aerys tries to pry him out of them. Aerys looks like shit: his nails are longer, his hair somewhat unkempt (olaplex isn't 4 him), and he seems to have aged more than the year that’s passed. Clutching a squalling Viserys, Aerys takes his son to the dragon skulls lining his throne room, naming each as they go. Viserys eventually quiets. Finally, they come to stand in the mouth of Balerion, and both father and son stare in awe as the skull appears to swallow them
Opening 💃 creds 💃
The King’s council. Aerys receives news that things have…. not gone well with Steffon Baratheon :/ He immediately looks to Tywin, who does not look back, and rather moves on to the question of Baratheon succession. Aerys interrupting like HOLD UP who is supposed to marry my son now then!! Tywin looks at him like ‘you know what I think’ but he won’t deign to put that forward again. Aerys’ council mention that the Princess of Dorne is still touring the Seven Kingdoms seeking a husband for her daughter Elia - they've been travelling a conspicuously long time, as it goes. Might they invite the Martells to KL???
Fast forward a month or two: we’re in the Martells’ carriage, with the Princess of Dorne, Oberyn and Elia. POD fusses over Elia's tiara, but Elia is feeling sceptical: she’s heard the Prince is a bit weird. Oberyn like ‘can’t be as weird as those twins at the Rock’, tries to make his sister laugh, but her nerves are high
Rhaegar and Arthur together in the library at King’s Landing, as fucking ever. They’ve been up late, and now watch the rising sun. Rhaegar notes that the woman his father hopes to betrothe him to is due to arrive today; Arthur asks if this is what he wants, and Rhaegar states that what he wants doesn’t come into it - but the sun looks like his dreams this morning
The Martells are welcomed to King’s Landing in the courtyard. Oberyn pulls a face at Elia when they see the King (and the absolute state of him), but Elia is hesitant to return it. The Queen looks equally haunted. Between them, Rhaegar: he’s beautiful, but it feels like he’s not altogether present, and Elia is uneasy. Meanwhile, a cold look from Tywin Lannister to the Princess of Dorne. The POD smiles back
A feast in the Great Hall to welcome the Martells. Aerys sits at the head of the table, watching as each dish presented to him is tasted first. The POD attempts to make conversation with her old friend Rhaella, but Rhaella does not prove receptive. The POD senses something is terribly different about Rhaella, but the Queen seems too fragile to be pushed on it. Asking if she might meet the Prince Viserys, Rhaella tells the POD her son is not permitted visitors these days
Rhaegar has not said a word to Elia all of the feast, and she looks thoroughly dejected - till Rhaegar stands, and asks her to take a walk with him. Oberyn is unimpressed by Rhaegar and not entirely subtle about it, but the POD encourages Elia to follow the Prince. Rhaegar walks with Elia about the hall, asking after her journey to the capital. Then, cutting to the chase, he tells her that he believes he’s dreamed of her - Elia is stunned. Rhaegar asks if Elia has had dreams of her own, Elia replies only the simple kind - but finds she is intrigued
Rhaegar doing his thing with the harp after the feast: Elia finding herself slightly swept up. Oberyn tries to translate some of the Valyrian lyrics as Rhaegar sings, finds they don’t make sense, but the POD only hushes him
After the feast: the Princess of Dorne goes to Rhaella’s chambers, bringing wine and hopes of a discreet chat. However, she finds Rhaella surrounded by chamber maids who won’t be dismissed. Conversation proceeds awkwardly and self-consciously, till the POD gives up
Meanwhile, Aerys in his solar; it’s late, but someone has arrived to meet him. A knock at the door, and Aerys is presented with Varys, whose work they’ve heard so much about.....
The following morning, in the Great Hall: Aerys announces a betrothal between his son and Princess Elia. Elia shy, POD proud, Tywin raging as ever, young Cersei raging right beside him… and Rhaegar, looking distant, like he expected this but something still isn’t quite right
Skip forward to the wedding itself: both Rhaegar and Elia look resplendent, as do all of their guests. When the new couple dance together, everything seems to click - but then we see Aerys sat at the head table, somehow looking worse than ever, tapping his hands erratically on the wood. His mood is only lifted when entertainment arrives in the form of two pyromancers, who have promised the assembled guests ‘dragonfire’. This comes in the form of wildfire, wrought like a nuclear firework display. The guests applaud, Aerys most vigorously
Later the same night, Rhaegar lies awake beside a sleeping Elia, staring at the ceiling. After a moment he rises, and goes to a castle by the window. Faintly, he waves his hand over the flame, and winces slightly when it burns

hey @worstcasesanrio .. hair care info here
Tumblr media
ok so these products are the every time ones. basically the ones on the right are done in the shower (shampoo then conditioner) and i brush it out with a detangling brush while its wet. typically between shampoo and conditioner. pls leave the conditioner in for at least 5 minutes or ur wasting the good conditioner.
the ones on the left are leave in. the mousse spray on the far left is first, a few pumps massaged into my roots and mids. then the leavein tgin conditioner on mids and ends. and finally a small amount of that ouidad gel on the ends and sorta mids sometimes.
Tumblr media
these are the heavy duty products. the redken is a clarifying shampoo for every 3 or so hair washes. the olaplex no. 8 is a mask that goes on for 10 minutes, i try to use it every 3 washes too. finally the rose water mask is a deep treatment i leave on for at least an hour, once a month.
im still a curly hair novice but I'm starting to get the hang of it. im still open to tips if anyone knows any

I am very seriously considering Japanese hair straitening because I am so tired of living with fine, thin curly hair and quite honestly I want long, straight, thick hair that grows down to my waist
BE CAREFUL!!!!! i have fine wavy/curlyish hair too and straightening treatments are so harsh. i am a blonde (bleached) and my hair took a toll but it's in really good shape now and it's growing because i do the following:
k18 (worth the price-- the bottles last me for at least 4-6 months) and i think it's much better than olaplex
i only put heat on my hair when there is heat protectant and i limit heat styling to 1-2x per week
i only use salon/professional-grade products. kerastase is so good for my hair and so is redken.
i get my hair professionally trimmed every 8 weeks (just a tiny bit, like a quarter of an inch) because I lighten my hair each time i go
i wear professional extensions now from JZ styles, but for clip-ins i recommend bellami (silk seams). my bellami's were in good shape for about a year and i wore them everyday and styled them a ton.
i would try all of that first ^ and then if push came to shove, get the straightening treatment but i advocate against it. i never wear my hair natural unless I'm washing it lol. I've been doing this for years and my hair is in pretty good shape. i would say to learn to take care of your hair, straighten it, and add extensions for length and volume!

what are some of your big sister recommendations for products girl? You literally radiant big sister energy
firstly, appreciate that so much it means a lot 🥹🫶🏼
okay so like I could delve into a lot of products in different sub sections but I’ll try keep it as brief as possible! I don’t like clutter therefore I try buy with purpose I buy more expensive stuff for quality over cheaper stuff for quantity.
travel:
I travel a ton so good suitcases are a must!
I use the black American tourister Bon Air cases which are HERE however they’re hella expensive on the website I got mine at Costco so check there!
While travelling I use my beats headphones to block out crying children and annoying boyfriends which are HERE they are the best for noise cancelling you do not need the apple ones.
there’s more under the cut 🫶🏼🤍
athleisure & clothes:
I live & breathe by sketchers… call me old but I LOVE THEM. I’m on my feet a lot when I work in sports events like if I’m at a racetrack I’m on my feet 4am-11pm that’s a lot and on ice you need good shoes so these are my faves:
ultra flex 3.0
tough talk
other shoes I just buy from anywhere I know the quality is good, name brands don’t bother me. I have wide feet so things like vans & converse aren’t really my style because they break so easy.
fabletics have amazing leggings if like lululemon is not in your budget! They do a new joiners deal on leggings just remember to cancel your membership or you’ll be charged next month!
I get the define Powerhold high waisted 7/8 in short because I’m 5’6 and I prefer to see my ankle in trousers!
lululemon wundertrain high waist are good too!
lululemon align tank & as I said before this makes ur boobs look great
all of my hoodies are men’s from abercrombie or my own brand which isn’t live yet so watch this space all my sports apparel lovers
jeans are all curve love from abercrombie
bodysuits I live and breathe are either Abercrombie or Skims
I also get my daily leggings from love leggings
accessories;
sunglasses are a massive must especially if you drive! I have a massive fat head which means my glasses need to be quite wide so I got mine from Dolce & Gabbana
My jewelry comes from a bunch of different places but some notable ones
my hockey number necklace from M Jewelrs
my name bracelet is from Etsy I also ordered one with my last name because I love it so much
Earrings I get from any worthy jewelry store it doesn’t need to be expensive.
makeup;
not all of my makeup but my die for products!
concealer - TEINT IDOLE ULTRA WEAR ALL OVER CONCEALER
Powder - Huda Beauty easy bake
Eyeshadow - morphe 9t
Contour/Bronzing - Pinkhoney BFF face frosting just a cheaper version of Chanel!
skincare;
I had horrible cystic acne so I try not to overwhelm my skin with products! With that being said I use:
face wash: either regular dove soap bar or eucerin dermatoclean
toner: eucerin dematoclean toner
Eye cream: ole henrikson banana bright eyecream
Vitamin c serum: ole henrikson vitamin c
Moisturisers: Keihls ultra facial cream - if you can try get this out of duty free as it’s 1/2 the price! I get mine when I fly into Paris or Toronto or I get my mans to bring me it from Detroit airport
I also use eucerin hyalaron-filler day and night cream
Lip balm: eucerin acute lip balm
for my body I use all of the eucerin urearepair products
I also use their sunscreen everyday
haircare;
I use olaplex EVERYTHING shampoo, conditioner, the conditioning treatment
I use fanola purple shampoo
and color wow styling products like the dreamcoat etc.
scents:
perfume:
ariana grande cloud is the best smelling thing ever people hug me just to smell it & the intense one
Mugler angel
these sprays from bath & body works
warm vanilla sugar
vanilla bean noel

Please share some of your hair care tips!! Sending you an ask so other women can see 💜
ok is gonna be a bit long:
1. diet is probably the single most important thing. eat lots of eggs, avocado, nuts, fish, and berries
2. find a shampoo that works for you. i have dandruff rn so I’m using shea moistures apple cider vinegar shampoo. every 2 weeks I use a clarifying shampoo (olaplex 4 and 5). I have other shampoos too for other seasons and needs
3. shampoo only your scalp (3x) and massage gently into your scalp
4. condition only the ends and wring the water out before applying. i have a shower cap I put on for deep conditioning while I wash my body
5. brush hair only 2x a day - morning and before bed. if you’re showering, before the shower but not before bed. don’t brush if your hair is wet, it’s more likely to break
6. use warm water for all washes and rinses until the last one, i flip my head upside down and final rinse is with cold water
7. to dry, only cotton t shirts or microfibre towels
8. I let it towel dry for 30-45 min, then let the rest air dry. never sleep with wet hair. if you have to go to bed, blow dry with cold air focusing on the roots
9. when hair is damp out of the shower, apply hair oil (I use the honey infused Gisou oil or argan oil)
10. i oil my scalp 1x week. Use a carrier oil like jojoba or argan or rosehip, add a few drops of essential oil (rosemary and peppermint are the best, tea tree is good for dandruff too). part your hair and apply to your scalp, then gently massage it in. put hair up in a clip and let it sit for 1-3h and then wash off in the shower
11. for oiling days, I use a bit of coffee grinds in the first shampoo wash to help really get rid of the oil
12. avoid touching your hair and scalp outside of the shower
13. sleep on silk sheets and with a protective hairstyle (hair oiled, braided, tied with a silk scrunchie)
14. protective hairstyles almost 90% of the time - lose braids not starting at the roots, loose ponytails or buns, claw clips
15. oil the ends of your hair every day after brushing. i like argan the best. just a few drop and then coat your ends, running it through with your hands
I hope this helps! i can explain further if you need. hair oiling is great but the biggest helps are for sure the diet, oiling of the ends and the silk pillowcases!
Edit, forgot this:
16. Don’t wash your hair every day. i do it 2-3x a week, usually 2x, that’s when my scalp starts to get itchy. judge it by how itchy your scalp gets

Glow Up tips 2.0
it's been a long time since last one...
morning skincare :vitamin C serum on dry skin, wait 10 minutes, apply moisturizer, wait another 10 mins and apply SPF!
2. evening skincare : double cleanse to remove makeup and SPF, exfoliant once a week, retinol once a week on dry skin, moisturize.
3. Biafine is the secret for amazing glowing skin, use up to 2 times a week over moisturizer.
4. don't buy expensive shampoos but invest in a good quality conditioner and hair mask.
5. olaplex n3 before every wash, olaplex n2 treatment once a month, olaplex n9 and n6 before heat will save fried bleached hair!
6.the crest whitening strips actually work really well ! but don't leave them on for longer than indicated as they will make your teeth super sensitive
7. HSN supplement for long strong nails and super thick eyelashes.
8. sleep in a protective hair style
9. the ordinary peeling mask may be a bit too harsh for some people's face but its really good at removing foot calluses ! leave on for 10 mins and rinse.
10. face rolling does not actually change your face shape. it does have benefits but do not expect miracles.
11. DRY BRUSH EVERYDAY

What's your go-to hair routine?
Hair 💕
I've been doing my own hair since middle school and I have my own little weird steps that make sure my hair looks amazing.
First of all, my hair is natural and it grows out in the 4C texture. I am a straight-hair natural, I really hate the way natural hair looks in contrast to my face and my eyebrows, which are very straight and almost non existent.
So to start it out I have the front section of my hair texlaxed with a lye relaxer, I re-process it every 8 weeks to make sure my hairline makes sense. It gives me the freedom to work out without the front half of my hair looking a mess. This also gives me the freedom to have perfect thick bangs when I want them.
I have a wolf cut, I am obsessed with having lots and lots of layers in my hair. In my opinion a good haircut completely changes the game. Don't skip your trims and cuts.
I wash and shampoo my hair like normal with Olaplex. I use a protein deep conditioner every now and then to motivate my hair to not break.
I use a round brush and a blow dryer to blow out my hair when it's really wet. ( I can't find my heat protectant, when I find it I'll drop the name ). I like to let my hair sit after blow drying it, I find that it makes straightening better. I go in with my flat iron at 160°C-200°C depending on how I'm feeling that day. I take very small sections so that I fry every single strand on my scalp. I swear by the chase method when straightening. I use a little oil when I'm straightening my hair, I don't know if that's bad for my hair but it hasn't done any damage so far.
When I'm done I wrap my hair into a doobie so that it can set well while also being straight.
The next morning I can wear it straight, I can put in some rollers, I can curl it or blow it out a bit for extra volume.
Words cannot explain how much I love hair spray. I use it generously when I want to. I make little curls to frame my face, I terrorise my bangs with the spray, I also use it to tame fly aways.
Depending on how my hairline is I'll use some edge control to keep everything back, I'm not quite adept at doing edges and they don't look good on me so I skip them most times.
I have 16 and 14 inch hair extensions that I wear for special occasions. I don't colour my hair, it's naturally jet black (which I'm so grateful for). A solid dark colour always works well with me.
I come from a clan of hair stylists so I really do enjoy doing most things myself when it comes to my head.

These pictures are close enough to what the end result looks like.

This is going to be a long post so bear with me.
First of all I condition my hair 2-3 times a week.  For this I use a 70/30 combination of Tresemme Botanique Coconut Nourish conditioner and SheaMoisture raw shea butter deep moisturizing conditioner with kelp and argan oil respectively.  To condition, I first get my hair sopping wet with lukewarm water, comb it out gently with a wide toothed comb, and then apply the conditioner.  A LOT of it.  More than you think you need.  Then I put my hair (with the conditioner!) in a plastic showercap for 10-15 minutes. You can do whatever during this time but I usually shave my legs since I don’t have to leave the shower to do that.
Once time is up, you need to rinse out ur hair in lukewarm water while combing it out with the wide-toothed comb.  Then, you apply styling products.  For the first two here, you need to apply them when your hair is still dripping wet. First you use leave-in conditioner; I use John Frieda Frizz ease daily nourishment leave-in conditioner.  A lot of sprays (again, more than u think u need). Then, I use Ouidad vitalcurl+ tress effects styling gel.  For this, you actually don’t need a lot, just enough to get the ends of your curls wet and a little bit going up to the crown.  Work these in with the wide toothed comb after applying them. After those two products, use a pillowcase or microfiber towel to squish your curls upward to get all the excess water out of them.  There are 2 paths you can follow here.
The first is to put a showercap back over your hair and let it sit in the moisture for 30-60 minutes; I’ve found this helps reduce frizz a lot.  Then, once you take the cap off, put a few squirts of kms add volume liquid dust into your hands, and work it into your hair from the crown down; this adds a lot of volume and makes your hair easier to manipulate.  If u don’t want to let it sit in the showercap for some time, you can just go directly to applying the liquid dust.
The previous three paragraphs I do EVERY TIME I get my hair wet.
There are other products I use more occasionally.  Every two weeks or so, you’re gonna wanna wash your hair with a shampoo.  I use herbal essences bio-renew argan oil repair shampoo. After doing the shampoo and washing it all out of my hair (and, you guessed it, working out tangles and knots with the wide-toothed comb), I apply Olaplex No.8 mask and let it sit under a showercap for 10-15 minutes.  Once I’ve rinsed the olaplex out, I proceed with my normal routine.
I strongly recommend going to a salon specifically for curly hair and having them do your hair, and then asking what they did and how you can replicate that at home.
Finally, I use Ouidad Botanical Boost hairspray to refresh my products on days when I don’t do my hair/get my hair wet.  Sometimes I will just get my hair kind of wet in the morning and apply botanical boost and liquid dust for an extra-fresh look, no other products needed! Botanical boost is actually my most-used product
