The thing that's killing me about the Milk Run sequel (Returning the Sword from the Stone) is that I know I should really time jump.

....like. They have had the most eventful 6 months, it would be nice to break it up, every mission isn't crazy bananas. It would give me a chance to write Dooku and Qui-Gon with an older dynamic which I think is VASTLY more complicated than Dooku and younger Qui-Gon and it would shake things up. It also gives Sifo-Dyas and Jocasta time to get up to other stuff - Jocasta can get her Padawan, I could play with Seeker Sifo-Dyas era. Might even get Rael and Nim in there, depending on how I time it.

.... lol, and there's also the scene where they're undercover, and Uncle Sifo receives a surprise lap dance from a nice lady and I think it would play funnier in front of an older-but-still-teen Qui-Gon.

The only problem is it would mean scrapping almost literally everything I've written for it which is like 30-40 pages that I really adore. And I don't think I could just recycle it, it's REALLY specific to where I left them in Milk Run.

Old person rant time:

One of the things that frustrates me most re: discord vs forums, is I can't just look into the discussions and general vibe of the community before joining, I have to go on hearsay and a marketing pitch then I'm announced to the whole damn server upon entering. I want to know what I'm actually joining, I want to see if there are conversations I want to participate in, I want to know if conversations start to stray down paths I'm uncomfortable with with frequency.

I should just get more comfortable with joining, poking around, and possibly leaving (though the smaller the server the more guilty I'll feel) but I miss how open things used to be sometimes. Everything feels like a padded room echochamber now with guards at the gates.
