Yo remember how Secret Six was Suicide Squad done right??? Remember how a group of villains who were all horrible people in their own ways grew as people due to their relationships with each other??? Remember how Scandal, who had been abused her whole life by her father, learned what love was from Bane of all people??? Remember how Floyd went from not giving a shit about people's other than his daughter's (including his own) to freaking the fuck out when Thomas got shot??? Remember when these villains got an actual found family that we saw develop in real time???

Literally no supervillain team comic has ever delivered the way Secret Six did. We didn't deserve it but by God it would be great to get that good shit back.

I love watching YouTube analysis videos that claim Venom has never had any romantic subtext in all of the character’s existence despite the whole “jealous ex-girlfriend-I-mean-alien suit” origin and then chiefly use panels from Donny Cates’s run as proof of this. I mean gee, it’s not like that run had several very significant retcons regarding very important Venom plot points across the last 20 years or so.

Can't wait for The Boys s3 to be released so that I can watch MCU stans endlessly compare Soldier Boy to U.S. Agent and argue that he's just a John Walker ripoff and it'll all come full circle.
