Oooh! For the D&D questions, if you feel like it: 2, 16, 19, 20 and 31
:D !!! Heck YEAH I feel like it! Thank you <333
2. What do you think your D&D class would be?
Oh definitely Bard. I like being the "talker" in my friend group, I make a playlist for every month so I'm always thinking about music, and I like supporting my friends. Also, I live for the hi-jinks and the applause.
16. What is your favorite D&D pod/vodcast?
I don't listen/watch many D&D pod/vodcasts because my ADHD makes it hard. HOWEVER! I really enjoyed TAZ: Balance even though I still haven't listened to the last episode because I don't want to cry.
Otherwise, I'm trying (failing?) to keep up with Critical Role season 3. If you (or anyone) have any suggestions, I'd be happy to give them a shot :)
19. How did you discover D&D?
Oh boy. I uh. Well, when I was 12, I ran a role play guild on neopets. For things. And my co-leader's dad was really into D&D and was teaching her how to DM, which is how I first found out about it. I spent the next 15 years trying to find a solid game. Now I play at least once every week!
20. If you run a homebrew game, give an out of context spoiler.
Zombie pigeons and the Johns are only tangentially related. Like a six degrees of Kevin Bacon situation. That is if Kevin Bacon was a talented necromancer who had an ancient construct and children who were... passable necromancers at best.
31. Tell me about your current party!
We just wrapped up the first arc ("The Shadows and the Storm") of our vampire gothic horror campaign with these Lucky Fools:
Lt. Dandell (short for Dandellion. No, my friend didn't realize she had named her character Lt. Dan): changeling fighter who got turned into a vampire after someone decided to go off on her own to investigate a boss at level 5 or 6. She lasted almost three rounds against legendary actions though so she's pretty impressive. Not to mention, we killed that boss and she took his job as head of the city guard so... who's winning at the end of the day? She is somehow the mom of the group despite wanting to fight everyone all the time. We all have dark gifts and hers is Gathering Whispers so she tries to help ghosts and finally succeeded helping dead young Michael, Nathaniel, and Sandy at the end of this arc.
Doyle: former werewolf, now reborn rogue whose dark gift is Echoing Soul. He was murdered by the Van Helsing of this world but a god took his broken soul and fused it back together with a bunch of other, ground up soul pieces. Yay! He lost his memories in the process but was able to get them back during the campaign. At first he comes off as serious but he's actually deadpan and really funny when he wants to be. Still doesn't talk much. He cares a lot about everyone but especially about Dandell who he kinda proposed to :3c They were dating before he went off to get gud (morally/friendship-wise), which is funny because I would say he's probably the best morally and friendship-wise in the group. If I had to give him a group role, it would be the dad/leader??? Somehow???
Silvie: halfling circle of the stars druid with a Living Shadow. Silvie is terrifying in that she likes to pretend to be a good child but has made absolutely horrific suggestions that make everyone question her alignment. One time she set someone on fire and blamed it on the shadow. They burned to death in the town square, which did provide a good bit of entertainment for everyone so that was nice I guess (it was actually the shadow, it tripped the guy, and it was an accident that he was set ablaze). Despite this, she is somehow the moral backbone of the party and will yell at literally anyone if they're being immoral in a way that harms the party. She made friends with the BBEG and almost saved him! Almost. Now, she's cleaning up after the Battle of Cranzholdt by chasing down a mad vampire with the same guy who murdered Doyle. So that's a thing.
Warric: white dragonborn sorcerer who has a Symbiotic Being named Shiver that betrayed us at the end of the last arc by downing us all and stealing the BBEG's head and heart (aww but actually literally ripping off his head and digging up his heart in the woods). Prior to that little hiccup, he was the one who brought us all together as body guards for a merchant trying to get to the spooky city. His puns are legendary and he WAS the primary negotiator, crowd control, and even occasional confidant for the party. Due to his mighty wisdom of 7, he was also half of the team's "odd couple". Despite the term and the legal "domestic situation" his other half got the two into, they are not an actual couple.
Zai: my boy! my son! high elf artificer/alchemist with a wisdom of 6 and the other half of the team's "odd couple". *slaps top* this boy can fit so much ADHD and anxiety! His memory is abysmal on a good day and he likes to touch everything, which really isn't good considering his Deadly Touch. He's gotten a bit better but- for the most part- he's physically incapable of shutting up, lying, or leaving a conversation meaning Doyle has to drag him away mid-sentence half the time. After potentially losing Warric, Silvie, and Doyle, he has stayed in Cranzholdt to help dismantle certain centers of necromantic power, rebuild the university and associated lab, and live with his "hot vampire boyfriend" Governor Cranz :3
Thanks again for the ask and for giving me the opportunity to gush about these dorks I love so much <33333

i want one too♡♡; Dick coming to Jason's safe house after a rough night(he failed to save someone or something). pre-relationship✿
Here you go! :3 Thanks for your request! Hope this is what you imagine it to be!
Jason had turned in for the night after having gone through a longand tiring patrol. He was exhausted and his muscles ached in places he neverthought would have before. It didn’t help that he’d been running all over thecity on foot, being tossed around and falling off buildings.
Yeah, not a fun night. He was ready to crawl into bed, snuggletight under his warm covers and pass the night away by literally passing out.Let that slumber come and whisk him away into unconsciousness so he didn’t haveto feel all the pains of his body.
Jason finished changing out of his uniform and gripped the edgesof his comforter, flipped it over so he could jump right into bed. As he wasabout to climb in with a knee pressed to the soft yet firm mattress, there wasa knock at the window. Curious emerald eyes fluttered to the wall before him, found a face peeking into his room. He squinted, eyes narrowing in to sharpenhis vision of the familiar face. When he put a name to the figure, he sighedexasperatedly.
Maybe he won’t have a peaceful night after all, though he couldsimply turn him away if the issue wasn’t grave enough for him to care about.Besides, in his current state, Jason was useless.
Jason unlocked the window and lifted it open, allowed the man cladin blue and black to crawl through. Nightwing—Dick, collapsed to the ground andJason swiftly closed his window shut to prevent the cool air to flow in.Emerald eyes fluttered to the figure shivering on the ground, found him hugginghimself, hands squeezing tight onto his arms.
Something must have happened.
“What are you doing here?” Jason asked curiously, couldn’t comprehend why Dick had showed up at his place of all places. Theyweren’t on the best of terms even though they recently just made up. It stilldidn’t garner a visit from the man, not when he looked to be down for thecount. “Hey,” Jason called again and didn’t move to help Dick oranything.
“I just—” Dick stuttered and Jason could hear his teethclattering, his body shaking uncontrollably. Jason sighed at the mess of abundle on his floor and moved to gather the man up. He griped onto his bicep, fingers curled tight and tugged him up and onto his feet. Reluctantly, Dick didas he was told and allowed Jason to drag his feet over to his bed.
“Sit,” he instructed and sat him down at the edge of thebed. Jason leveled his stare at him and stretched an arm out to peel at thefraying edges of his mask. He tenderly pulled it off, careful with the glue andsettled it onto the night stand. He then gathered his blanket that he’dthankfully pulled back and draped it across Dick’s shoulder, wrapped him into abundle of soft linens. He pulled at the front, made sure it enclosed his entirebody to warm him up.
Jason brought the back of his hand against his cheek, felt hisskin and it was clammy, cold to the bone. It was cold out tonight, but Dick’stemperature was more chilling than usual.
He sighed quietly and tenderly brushed Dick’s hair back, tugging alock behind his hair as he cleared his eyes of flimsy strands. Jason loweredhis gaze to meet Dick’s, whose attention was placed on the ground. Somethingwas up and Jason suspected that something had happened on patrol to cause himto look like a kicked puppy. Revealing a side of himself he often didn’t, atleast not to Jason himself.
Dick appeared… vulnerable and it was tugging at Jason’s heart.
“Dickie,” Jason called softly and stroked a thumb up hischeek. “What’s wrong?“
Dick murmured something under his breath, but it was incoherentand Jason couldn’t understand what he was saying.
“What?” He asked and gently pinched his chin, guiding itupwards so he could meet his gaze. There he saw dark shadows beneath his hazyblue eyes. His pupils were blown wide and appeared red-rimmed, as if he’d beencrying. His lips were pale, chapped and bits of skin peeling, but they werecurved into a frown. “You can tell me. You came to me for a reasonright?”
Dick seemed to have registered his words, and replied with aslight nod. “I—” he started once again. “It was close.” Hesaid and well, wasn’t that fucking convenient? And here Jason thought there wasa reason he wanted to come to him during his time of self-pity.
A bit annoyed, he clicked his tongue. “Okay, so then what doyou want?” He hissed, tone sharp and the man flinched back at his remark, shrinking into himself. That reaction was a little excessive and Jason felt abit guilty for being so petty.
“I just—nothing,” Dick said. “I just wanted to seeyou.”
“Bullshit.” That was such a lie and Jason knew it.“You came here for a reason. What?”
Dick shrugged his shoulders and waved a hand, sniffling quietly.“I'm—I don’t know Jay. I just, I wanted some comfort.”
“From me?”
Dick shrugged again. “Tonight was, it wasn’t good and I just—Ifeel upset.”
“Oh, so you come to me because I’m so good at comfortingyou.” He just didn’t understand his reasoning behind visiting him.Comfort? Hah, like Jason was capable of that.
“Jay, I—I failed someone today. I couldn’t save them,”Dick whispered, his voice broken and he drew in a shaky breath.
So that’s what. He was kicking himself down for failing to savesomeone. What was Jason supposed to say to that? Too bad, try again next time?Try harder? Like that was even possible. In this type of job, it wasn’tpossible to save every single life no matter what.
“Dick,” Jason said. “You can’t save everyone.”
“I know.”
“Then stop blaming yourself.” He wasn’t going tosugar-coat his words. Jason was going to tell him how it was and maybe that’swhy Dick came to him. Because he wanted to hear the honest truth and not aversion of 'good job, you tried your best,’ when he knew himselfhow terribly he’d failed.
“But I, if I just, I was just a minute faster, I could havesaved them. If just ran faster, they wouldn’t have fell!” Dick said, raising his voice, growing hysteric and tossed a nasty glare at Jason. A glarethat wasn’t necessarily directed towards him but was mostly meant for himself.
“So what? That doesn’t mean it was possible,” Jasonsaid.
“But I—!”
“Stop,” Jason squeezed his cheeks with his hands, hushing his complaints. “Stop blaming yourself. Stop saying ‘what-ifs’because it’s done. It’s over. You can’t go back and save them and even if youtried, you might have failed again. You don’t know. And in this job, we cannotsave everyone. So stop blaming yourself. It’s not your fault,”Jason said, meant it word for word. Watched as Dick’s eyes fell shut, hisglassy blues disappearing beneath his lips. He exhaled loudly and Jason couldfeel the warm breath brushing against his skin, tickling him. There werebutterflies running about in his stomach and he felt jittery, his body tinglingwith nerves.
A brief moment passed by time, silent and all that could be heardwere the soft sniffles coming from Dick, mixed in with his haggard breathingthat overshadowed Jason’s calm exhales.
Finally, Dick opened his eyes again and those gorgeous blue orbsof his were no longer blazed, they were clear and vivid, the ones that definedwho Dick Grayson ones. The ones that Jason secretly adored.
“Better?” Jason asked and attempted to pull back hishands, but Dick stopped him, covered Jason’s with his own. He held him stilland gazed deep into his eyes while at the same time nibbling his lower lip.Jason felt his heart skip a beat and he tried to tear his gaze away but foundit hard because Dick’s bright blue eyes were too mesmerizing, enchanting hissoul.
“Yeah,” he replied and nodded his head. “Muchbetter. Thanks Jay.”
“Uh huh,” Jason quickly shut away his reply so he couldget out of his hold. “Now can you let go?“
"Sure,” Dick said with a soft smile on his lips, seemingly better now and dropped his hands.
Jason breathed out a heavy sigh and took a step back.“So,” he started and did a once over of his room before he settledhis attention back on Dick. “You gonna leave now?” He asked and Dickshook his head.
“Nah, I think I’ll stay the night.”
“I didn’t offer,” Jason said, holding his stance becausehe hadn’t invited Dick to stay. It was supposed to be a quick pep talk and thenoff he goes.
“Yeah but you’re really going to kick me out like this? Inthe middle of the night?”
“You’re capable of handling yourself.”
“Jay,” Dick whined with a pout to his lips and collapseddown onto the bed. He tugged at the covers and rolled himself into a fatburrito as he lay there like he owned the freaking bed. When it should be Jasonwho was in his current position. “Please?” He pleaded with sadsapphire eyes, lips still in a frown.
Jason didn’t want to give in because he was being a giant pain inthe ass and of course, other reasons that he couldn’t quite explain at themoment. He was reluctant, didn’t want to share a bed with Dick, but couldn’tfind it in his heart to reject the man. Not after all the torment he wentthrough beating himself up so he sighed.
“Fine,” he said and then marched right over to his bed, pushed Dick over to the side. “You get half.”
And Dick just chuckled as he unraveled himself from the mess he’dmade. He plopped his head onto one of the pillows and lifted the covers, whichwere still tangled in his legs, up in an offer for Jason to join him.
Jason just stared at him with a ‘really’ expression and Dick just chuckled, nodded his head. Yeah,Jason wasn’t going to get out of that so he rolled with it and climbed onto themattress. Dick dropped the blankets onto him and sidled up to his side as hepulled him into a tight embrace.
“Dick—!” Jason cried, tried shoving him away but it wastoo late, Dick had already latched himself on like a damn octopus, had him in atight hug.
“Nope,” Dick said and snuggled against Jason’s chest, buried his face against his soft cotton shirt.
Jason was doomed for the night and this was going to be theirsleeping arrangements. Giving in, he sighed for the umpteenth time and reacheda hand to shut off the lights.
He supposed he might as well get comfortable and huddled closerinto Dick, an arm snaking around his waist. “Night Dickface,”
“Night Jay,” he murmured softly.
