   MERRY CHRISTMAS, LGC MEMBERS!
merry christmas, lgc members! oops! this time you didn’t just send something to they mods, they also wanted to send something to YOU!! every single mod, below the cut, has something wonderful for you all to hear! (no, this is not the christmas present side event lol)      our mods deserve all the love in the world, but the members all deserve a little extra love too!      happy holidays and everyone have a good new years!
admin l, writer of @lgcxjun, @lgcmiso, and @lgcnami says:      1) what is your favorite part about being a mod?      making the members happy. when we put out a new event or implement something new in the rp and members are super excited about it, that's what i like the most.      2) what is the most memorable moment from being a mod in lgc thus far?      hmm.. i think it's when we officially opened the rp for reservations and they came flooding. we weren't expecting this. we thought it would take weeks before we get enough reservations to open and were pleasantly surprised when in 48h we had the 10 minimum. we never expected to have over 50 members, either. so this whole experience has been amazing for us      3) what is the best part about lgc members/writers (characters or muns!)      seeing the characters grow right before our eyes, that's the part i love the most. seeing the progression of each and everyone of you all always make us happy. the admods are your biggest supports, i swear to god. i also love how our members aren't scared of giving ideas and participate in the growth and events of the rp! we always love incorporating our mun's ideas      4) anything else you would like to mention?      thank you for being here with us <3
admin *, writer of @lgcdanbi, @lgcnathan, and @lgctaesung says:      1) what is your favorite part about being a mod?      oh gosh
i can’t pick just one! honestly, it’s just being able to plan and create stuff for our members with such a fun and dedicated team like the one we have here! we have so much in store for everyone, and we just hope y’all are as excited as we are for the big things to come!      2) what is the most memorable moment from being a mod in lgc thus far?: for me specifically, it had to be my *first* trimester change as the head of graphics. i literally SLAVED lmfao over our Q4 2020 graphics, and it was so nice to see how much everyone enjoyed the roleplay’s makeover. plus, now that we’re getting closer and closer to Q1 2021, i’m both excited yet SUPER nervous about the aesthetics i want to put out for lgc in the new year!      3) what is the best part about lgc members/writers (characters or muns!): character-wise, i can tell everyone is genuinely invested in their muses’ development and careers here. even though idol krps aren’t anything new, it’s such a breath of fresh air to be a part of a group where people want to see success with their muses from the very start to finish. mun-wise, it’s gotta be activity check sunday’s! seeing people’s live reactions to the queue is DEFINITELY the highlight of my week.      4) anything else you would like to mention?: we’re a small team here (but i swear it feels so much bigger!), and we dedicate a lot of our time in running lgc behind the scenes than in writing for our own characters. it can be a bit of a bummer and can definitely take a lot of muse and motivation out of you, but we’re always so appreciative of how considerate and thoughtful our members are of us. we’re not perfect—no one is!—but despite our flaws, it’s so inspiring to see a place (a home?) like lgc last for over a year and still be going on strong. and we can only thank you guys for all of that! so! thank you!
admin g, writer of @lgchanbyul, @lgcjaesun, and @lgcyumi says:      1) what is your favorite part about being a mod?      i have a strange love for lists and stats, and so i actually really enjoy the administration part of being an admin. honestly, i would be the type of person to start a roleplay just to do the logistics lol. i enjoy helping to keep things neat and orderly, though admin a. has been doing a really great job of making my processes even better. my strong suits are not events or graphics, so i leave those tasks to the rest of the team. i think because of that, we make a really great team, and i just enjoy getting to see the fruits of our labor week after week and seeing people excited over them as well!      2) what is the most memorable moment from being a mod in lgc thus far?      there are many memorable moments, of course, and this might sound silly
but probably when we received our first application that was not from one of our og staff members. frankly, when we started this group, we were fairly certain no one would want to join, especially with so many other great roleplays around, so to have watched it grow over these last 16 months has been pretty incredible!      3) what is the best part about lgc members/writers (characters or muns!)      i wish i could give a special shoutout to each person, but that will quite literally take me a year so i apologize that i’m taking the easy road out. i think the best part about our members is just their willingness to help, whether it be helping others understand the points process, what is needed for an event, or just any of the other logistics that might lead to confusion. it puts a smile on my face to see that teamwork and selflessness exhibited by so many of you. when we mention that we’re stressed, there is never a shortage of eager hands being raised to offer help, and we always appreciate that. i think it’s not easy being a big group, and it can be easy to feel left out, so i just continue to applaud those who really help to make people feel at home!      4) anything else you would like to mention?      2020 has certainly been a wild roller coaster ride, but it’s certainly been made better by getting to write and interact with all of our members. i hope that those i haven’t had a chance to write with yet that i will get to do so soon! thank you all for your continued support and i hope everyone has a happy holidays and a happy new year! may 2021 be a better year for all of us!      thank you also to leaf for organizing this! you’re truly a trooper for putting together this special treat for our members ( and months ago for doing it for the admin staff as well )! always appreciate your thoughtfulness in spending the time to think of others. ❀
admin a, writer of @lgcaeri, @lgceunhye, and @lgcsanghyun says:      1) what is your favorite part about being a mod?      my favorite part is seeing people’s reactions to everything we do in lgc and using some of those elements to help build their character or celebrate their accomplishments. a good example of this are the events that have been revealed in the past and reading the reactions and feedbacks encourages us to think more about what kind of events we can make or improve on!      2) what is the most memorable moment from being a mod in lgc thus far?      i’ve only been here for a short period so i can’t quite name a lot, but the one that i can think of on top of my head is during the end of the trimester. it’s usually the busiest time for us for several reasons, but it feels the most rewarding to me personally because behind the scenes, we really try to make sure that everything goes smoothly. add that everyone is so patient during those times and we really appreciate it! i personally want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for all of the positive messages and support you have sent to us! it really means a lot to us! ❀      3) what is the best part about lgc members/writers (characters or muns!)      i mentioned this previously in the one year anniversary post, but i would say it’s the community that has been created and developed over time. it’s gone through a lot and the fact that we’re still active now still shocks me sometimes! aside from that, i would also say reading through the solos and posts that we see on the dash (and yes, we see what is going on 👀). while there is so much that i don’t know about everyone’s muses, sometimes it’s nice to just sit back and see what everyone has been up to lately.
admin c, writer of @lgcxking and @lgcjin says:      1) what is your favorite part about being a mod?      for me it’s seeing members get excited about events that we put out, and creating new canons based off them. i don’t think i would be able to keep being an admin if i didn’t feel this sense of wonder and excitement coming from everyone!      2) what is the most memorable moment from being a mod in lgc thus far?      i’ve probably mentioned it way too often by now, but when we created lgc we expected it to die off after a couple weeks/months. we never expected to last so long and it wasn’t easy in the beginning, but after a while, i’d say around october/november, we started welcoming a lot of new muns that have become such an integral part of the rp. the fact that we’d have enough members to form a lot more than one group for each gender is amazing in itself. and the 2020 family concert really had me realize just how far we’ve come! to see all of those muns and muses experiencing it for the first time even though they’ve been in the rp for so long and achieved so much.      3) what is the best part about lgc members/writers (characters or muns!)      i don’t want to name anyone in particular because i’d want to talk about everyone and that’s impossible, but like i mentioned above, it amazes me whenever i see everything that the muses have achieved in a year. i think i realize now just how many events we put out LMAO. some muses are fairly new but are already on future dreams or lgc girls japan, others have begun acting, producing, hosting, etc. i always love to see the very detailed plan everyone has for their characters and even though it might take a while to happen ic, it’s important to set goals! some that might not even happen in a near lgc future, but it gives such life to muses. i also love seeing friendships form, relationships grow, suddenly being on dash and realizing that a muse FINALLY confessed to another, or sometimes just discovering important information through someone else because we can’t possibly read every single thread on dash (i’d love to, though, trust me). there’s a ton of people i haven’t interacted with yet on my muses, and i would sooo love to do it but with the amount of work that goes behind the scenes
let’s just say though that we love every single muse and i’m probably a bigger fan of them than you are!!!!!      4) anything else you would like to mention?      small mention to you, leaf, for doing this! thank you for the love and care you put into these types of projects it’s very cute ;; we really liked getting messages from members last time too. also, to anyone reading this, just know that we’re glad you’ve decided to join us on this legacy journey!!!! why do i feel like i’m ending this too dryly but I LOVE YOU GUYS and thank you for all the support, patience, understanding and time investment <333
admin y, writer of @lgcjaehwa says:      1) what is your favorite part about being a mod?      i'd say seeing members dropping random appreciation posts and messages would be my favorite part! there were times where i tend to overthink and become a mess. although it may just look like a simple ask, random messages like these really makes my day.      2) what is the most memorable moment from being a mod in lgc thus far?      my first 'project'! its something i planned all by myself and to receive positive feedbacks makes me feel proud of it! i'm usually pessimistic when it comes to myself so this is really a big deal for me. this project is not out yet but will definitely be revealed in the future ;)      3) what is the best part about lgc members/writers (characters or muns!)     the best part is of course the community!! i never expect myself to stick to a rp for this long. there is this saying, 'the muns keep the rp running'. without you guys, lgc will not be where we are today!      4) anything else you would like to mention?      i just want to say that although i'm not close with everyone, i do hope i can get to know more lovely people here! and i thank you guys for staying with us throughout this journey. i'm sure lgc will still continue to stand strongly for the months or even years to come <3

DigitalOcean Review 2021: Is it a good and secure hosting service? | TopReview
What is DigitalOcean?
Tumblr media
DigitalOcean is an American cloud hosting company Launching its first server in 2011? focused on helping developers launch more apps faster and easier. The ultimate goal of DigitalOcean is to use a solid-state drive, or SSD, to create a user-friendly platform that will allow their wealth of clients to transfer projects to and from the cloud, ramping up production with speed and efficiency.
1. Fantastic “Average” Uptime of 99.99%:
DigitalOcean truly dominates in uptime, conveying a normal of >99.99% in the course of the most recent year of observing.
That implies that since April 2020 they just had 14 blackouts and 23 minutes of personal time. The solitary month where DigitalOcean didn’t convey an ideal 100% uptime was April 2020 (with an uptime of 99.96%).
DigitalOcean last 12-month uptime and speed statistics DigitalOcean average uptime | See stats The average uptime for the past 12-months:
March 2021: 100% February 2021: 100% January 2021: 100% December 2020: 100% November 2020: 100% October 2020: 100% September 2020: 100% August 2020: 100% July 2020: 100% June 2020: 100% May 2020: 100% April 2020: 99.96%
2. Lightning-Fast Load Times 268 ms
Uptime is the main measurement to look for while choosing a web to have.
After all — every chime and whistle in the world will not record for a load of bologna if your site is spending extensive stretches disconnected.
Coming in as a nearby second is speed.
Slacking sites should be ‘down’, in every practical sense. Lazy destinations are practically unusable. Your traffic will not spare a moment to bob. In a real sense. A distinction of only a couple of seconds can cost you practically the entirety of your potential site traffic.
Fortunately, moderate speed isn’t something you must be stressed over when joining with DigitalOcean.
DigitalOcean Page Speed Apr. 2020 — Mar. 2021
DigitalOcean normal speed | See details
Their previous year’s normal page stacking time was 268 ms — the quickest we’ve seen!
A nearby second is A2 Hosting with a 285 ms stacking time.
3. Engineer Friendly Product Ecosystem:
DigitalOcean isn’t only a one-stunt horse. Truth be told, their set-up of items offers huge loads of potential for designers.
What are the various choices offered by DigitalOcean?
Happy you inquired.
Beads
Drops is a versatile figuring stage that can be tweaked to meet the entirety of a business’ application needs. It likewise remembers add-for capacity, observing, and progressed security.
DigitalOcean drops:
You can pick between standard or upgraded drops and afterward modify them however much you might want. Drops let devs avoid tedious establishment and design to move directly along toward code sending.
Spaces:
Though Droplets is for application sending, Spaces is about straightforward item stockpiling.
We’re discussing a security framework that permits you to store and convey information to applications and end clients. Spaces work under a straightforward cycle, making solid stockpiling with an intuitive UI or API.
Spaces can be utilized to store reinforcement documents, weblogs, information investigation, and considerably more.
The assistance is likewise versatile, so your Spaces can develop with your organization. What’s more — Spaces can be joined with other DigitalOcean highlights, or they can be utilized all alone.
Kubernetes
Kubernetes are intended for designers and administrators.
How would you be able to manage Kubernetes?
You can send your web applications for Kubernetes for simpler scaling, higher accessibility, and lower costs. You can likewise utilize these for API and backend administrations.
4. Adaptable Pricing
Although we likewise have it under our cons, we believe it’s quite wonderful that you can really alter all that you pay for — your site stockpiling, CPU utilization, transmission capacity, data set, memory, and so on
It’s actually an extraordinary benefit in case you’re a high-level client and as of now acquainted with precisely what you need, what your objectives are, what you don’t require, etc.
5. Every day Backups
DigitalOcean performs reinforcements every day and you can generally reestablish any information as long as 7 days earlier. Even though DigitalOcean has prevalent uptime, it’s in every case preferred to be protected over grieved!
6. Great Security
Your information and traffic are constantly gotten. This is something that numerous different hosts don’t stress a lot or don’t give. DigitalOcean ensures that your information is secured from start to finish. It’s an incredible benefit to keep those badly-willed associations and infections out of your site framework.
Of course, DigitalOcean has added encryption to its volumes. If you need to add an extra layer of safety, as with the majority of their highlights, you’ll need to go through an instructional exercise, follow the means, and know some coding to succeed.
Cons of Using DigitalOcean Hosting
DigitalOcean began solid, in any case, there are additionally a few downsides that should be noted out.
We should have a more intensive look.
1. For Advanced Users
The characteristic of a really incredible item lies in its capacity, to sum up, its administrations in layman’s terms.
This is something tech organizations, specifically, struggle to fold their aggregate heads over.
All things considered, most tech locales and stages will in general be brimming with language. As in, “uncommon words or articulations that are utilized by a specific calling or bunch and are hard for others to comprehend”.
At the point when one glances at tech items like DigitalOcean, the compulsion to turn to language-based language turns out to be clear. You’re managing a ton of specialized data — a master in the field would be constrained to compose it as far as they might be concerned, and not how the normal individual can get it.
That is no biggie for the high-level, power clients. They’ll get it. It’ll all bode well.
Yet, for the amateurs? No way.
This is a territory wherein DigitalOcean bombs significantly. The site’s duplicate is loaded up with specialized terms and abbreviations with no clarification. They’re obviously showcasing their item to designers explicitly.
In this way, others will battle to sort out some way to move a webpage over, dispatch, keep up, or even develop their site.
In correlation, Dreamhost works really hard of improving the language of their site into terms that a normal individual sees exhaustively.
2. Needs Basic Features Other Consumer Hosts Provide
The most web as we’ve checked on will toss in the equivalent ‘additional items.’ For instance, reinforcements, perhaps a decent CDN, and surprisingly an SSL authentication.
In contrast to other people, because DigitalOcean obliges a further developed group, they don’t toss in a lot of essential highlights that numerous different hosts will give or deal with to you in the wake of joining.
Stuff like:
Free space name with facilitating
The capacity to try and buy a space name
Free site movements
This means they can assist you with a portion of these things. In any case, you shouldn’t expect a great deal of hand-holding administrations when you join.
This really carries us to our next point.
3. Restricted Customer Support
Most facilitating organizations offer some variety of all-day, every-day support.
It may not generally be excellent, yet in any event, it’s something.
Lamentably, DigitalOcean has not at all like that. On the off chance that your site goes down in the center of the evening (which could be appalling on the off chance that you’re managing in abroad business sectors), there’s nobody for you to converse with. You need to go to their site and open a help ticket utilizing their online structure.
DigitalOcean makes ticket form4. Confounded cPanel
As been referenced as of now, DigitalOcean is certainly not for novices. Fundamentally, a cPanel is the thing that you need to assemble your site these days (except if you’re on an acceptable footing with programming dialects).
For DigitalOcean, first and foremost, you’ll need to set up a Droplet of your decision (DigitalOcean workers). At that point you’ll have to introduce the cPanel following a careful guide including embeddings a few code orders (indeed, you need to know some coding), enrolling your record, introducing the execution document, and so on
On top of the wide range of various stuff, you’ll need to buy the privilege from an outsider to utilize the cPanel.
If you have no involvement in coding and how to be an engineer yourself, we recommend, you either recruit a designer (a decent one) or keep away from DigitalOcean and discover arrangements that suit your necessities and abilities more.
The convenience of cPanel is generally instinctive, however, then again — there’s an expectation to learn and adapt and it’s unquestionably not for amateurs.
5. Estimating is Complicated
When you get into the evaluating plans, you’ll head will go dazed with every one of the choices and potential outcomes which you can utilize and overhaul. There are various classifications for data transmission, space, workers (various paces), CPU, security choices, and so on
Essentially put — with DigitalOcean there are loads of approaches to make your month-to-month expense extremely expensive.
Most different suppliers offer 2–5 distinct plans which give you a decent outline of what you get. With DigitalOcean you can modify everything yourself.
It very well may be something worth being thankful for, however except if you’re a high-level client (as referenced over), it’s fairly convoluted and tedious.
DigitalOcean Pricing, Hosting Plans, and Quick Facts
DigitalOcean’s Standard Droplets plan begins at $5 each month. The costs ascend from that point, getting increasingly elevated until you’re paying $80 each month for all the more very good quality administrations:
DigitalOcean fundamental drop prices when you take a gander at the CPU Optimized Droplets, those are beginning at $40 and going as far as possible up to an incredible $720 each month:
DigitalOcean computer processor enhanced evaluating
Speedy Facts
The simplicity of Signup: Quite simple (you can join with email, Google Account, or GitHub)
Free area: Not free.
Cash Back: No. Valuing depends on the pay-more only as costs arise model.
Installment Methods: All significant Debit and Credit Cards, PayPal.
Secret Fees and Clauses: No significant ones.
Upsells: A couple of upsells.
Record Activation: Account actuation is speedy.
Control Panel and Dashboard: Custom control board (with cPanel choice)
Establishment of Apps and CMSs (WordPress, Joomla, and so forth): One-tick installer for WordPress and other applications/CMSs.
Do We Recommend DigitalOcean?
Indeed

 insofar as you’re an engineer.
In case you’re simply a normal individual hoping to dispatch a web presence, there are undeniably more easy-to-understand items out there that will cost you undeniably less.
For somebody that feels comfortable around the tech world, there is by all accounts no quicker or more profoundly performing item than DigitalOcean.
There are not many downsides yet on the off chance that uptime and speed are the main variables for you, DigitalOcean is among the most ideal decisions available.

Next Year Innovative developments by Apple
Apple is without a doubt the most innovative company in the world at the present time. It is the business to which nearly others look for direction. Every time Apple reveals a forward thinking new design language or launches a new product, it creates ripples through the entire marketplace. Eventually, the whole industry is crafting products in Apple’s look and feel. However to say Apple is merely a trend-setter understates the business’s position seeing that probably the figurehead of invention in customer technology. Apple isn’t simply setting technology tendencies; Apple’s vision models precedents and starts motions that allow the tendencies to exist in the first place. As great as it must feel to be Apple in this situation - and as humbling since it must experience to be any of the many companies copying Apple at every switch - it’s not all sunlight and rainbows. You can claw your way to the top of a mountain, but there’s very little stable surface up there. One wrong step as well as your toppling back down the mountain, undoing years of the effort needed to get up there. I actually do not want to price cut Apple’s successes in 2018: Apple Pencil program for ipad device was a wanted addition; iOS 12 has provided new life to iPhones as previous as the 5S; Apple Watch Series 4 is literally saving lives; and that’s simply a few highlights. Searching back again, though, 2018 was a pretty tough year for Apple as certain missteps ended up impacting the company’s important thing. Within Apple’s most questionable techniques in 2018, there’s one I wanted to emphasize for an important reason: Without second-generation iPhone SE around the corner, it appears Apple has exited the spending budget flagship market. In reality, I will take it one step further: I am sure Apple won’t be launching any longer budget iPhones, and here is why. Apple’s product collection is certainly varied. The company generates revenue from services like iTunes and Apple Music to add-ons like AirPods and the Magic Key pad, from home entertainment devices like Apple Television 4K to personal computing gadgets just like the MacBook Pro. However sales for most of these aren’t that amazing (though Apple’s income most certainly are). It is essentially the iPhone that makes up about the majority of Apple’s revenue. Since its debut in 2007, iPhone has pushed Apple’s revenue to such incredible heights that the company has become the first trillion-dollar firm ever sold. With so much of Apple’s income riding on the game-changing gadget, you can wager there would be a significant drop in Apple’s revenue if people starting buying less iPhones. And that’s specifically what we are experiencing. Following a modest 4th quarter, revenue for Q12019 - which, to be clear, is comprised of October, November, and December, encompassing the holiday shopping season - was much lower than Apple originally expected. With the price of brand-new iPhones rising, revenue would’ve increased actually if unit sales experienced only remained constant, but there have been fewer iPhone units sold through the period. The implication is that demand has waned, or it’s possible there wasn’t very much demand for Apple’s expensive new iPhones in the first place. The first indicator of challenges was in 2017, the year iPhone X was released. At a starting cost 50 percent higher than the prior year’s baseline model, iPhone X unit product sales were reportedly toned although Apple’s revenue improved. How? Because even though Apple sold approximately the same quantity of products as the entire year before, the average cost of an iPhone had improved. When you sell the same number of products but mark up the price, you still see a bump in sales revenue.
Tumblr media
Of course, it’s not merely the iPhone that is gotten more costly. Apple has raised selling prices across almost all of the organization’s portfolio. But with the iPhone driving revenue, the implication is this: In the event iPhone product sales continue being smooth or begin to fall, Apple will have to keep raising the price of the iPhone every year to maintain year-over-year revenue gains. As possible plainly see, it’s not really a coincidence Apple has made a decision to stop reporting iPhone unit sales publicly. Even if 2017 was an outlier, the start of new iPhones in the fall is supposed to give Apple a shot of income adrenaline in the final stretch out, allowing for a solid finish as the business crosses the monetary finish line. But also for the second 12 months in a row, that did not come up. Doesn’t it appear possible, if improbable, that increasing the prices for new iPhones has led to lower demand? In regards to a week ago, Apple CEO sent a document to shareholders. You can read the letter for yourself on Apple’s webpage, but it warns traders that Apple’s 1Q2019 revenue will be $9 billion less than was originally projected. The letter largely blames China’s overall economy for almost all the year-over-year iPhone revenue decline while also suggesting that buyers are still adapting to the extinction of carrier subsidies. In a recent interview Cook reiterated most of the same reasons to clarify lower-than-anticipated iPhone profits. Beyond slowed development in developing markets and the lack of subsidized pricing through service providers, Cook mentioned to iOS 12 and the $29 battery substitution program seeing that having encouraged users to keep their outdated iPhones rather than buying new ones. As you might recall, Apple began the battery alternative program in late 2017 in hope of hiding the smell of the battery hot debate, which had earned allegations of designed obsolescence. As indicated by Cook, many with old iPhones decided not to upgrade because they could get brand-new batteries for cheap. This would take away the functionality caps that Apple got imposed on them, fixing their iPhones to their former glory, especially when paired with iOS 12. In fact, Apple went to lengths to ensure that iOS 12 would make older iPhones faster, so Cook is most likely right in thinking the battery replacement program and iOS 12 factored into the weaker sales of 2018 iPhones. Nevertheless, Cook declared that complicated trade relationships between the US and China was eventually the largest factor. China represents a huge amount of untapped sales potential for Apple, so there’s probably some truth to that, too. You can observe the full interview in the video below if you would like to hear more of what Make has to say about it. Meanwhile, critics and analysts possess suggested poor iPhone sales certainly are a sign of market saturation; at this time, most people who would like an iPhone already have one, and that’s a hard hurdle to overcome, specifically with buyers modernizing much less frequently. It is also surprisingly possible that Apple valued the 2018 iPhones out from the developing markets the business claims to be targeting. After all, if you live in China and want to buy a new cell phone, will you buy an iPhone XS for $1,000 („6800) or more, or will you get the latest Vivo or Xiaomi Android mobile phone that’s manufactured locally and may do in essence whatever iPhone XS can do at a fraction of the price? And in addition, Cook mainly sidestepped the topic of ballooning iPhone prices - a condition that we have watched across most of Apple’s products for that matter - which has been one of the primary criticisms of brand-new iPhones. New Price Hikes Price boosts for the iPhone used to be pretty rare. Actually, after carriers stopped offering subsidized prices on cell phones, forcing us to start paying complete MSRP if we wanted to buy fresh iPhones, we're able to at least depend on a consistent starting price from year to year. That starting price used to be $649. With the discharge of iPhone 8 in 2017, it increased to $699, a frustrating increase, but it wasn’t too alarming. It had been only a $50 boost after generations of a consistent price, so many people gave Apple a pass. And also, also at the bigger price, iPhone 8 seemed really cheap compared to the $999 price tag on the brand new iPhone X. Yet apparently, the price increase for iPhone 7 place a precedent because in 2018, the purchase price jumped yet again. Matching the boost from iPhone 7 to iPhone 8, the 2018 iPhone collection started out at $749 for iPhone XR. You would argue that iPhone XR is a better device than iPhone 7 and justifies the excess $100, but value is subjective. Although some might say iPhone XR is worth its $749 beginning price, especially in comparison to Apple’s more premium models, many customers will fixate about how each new era of iPhone is more costly than the one before. And at this time, can you blame them? To make matters even more serious, as iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR were being unveiled on stage during Apple’s fall 2018 event, iPhone SE had been discontinued. So not merely are iPhones getting increasingly more expensive, but Apple has eliminated the only spending budget option we had. So if you’re seeking to get a new iPhone in 2019, there’s not much choice anymore. Buyers are mainly having to simply accept Apple’s higher starting price in the absence of a genuine budget iPhone. Naturally, customers and critics as well are getting more vocal within their demands an iPhone SE successor. Incredible Unpredicted Benefits Apple unveiled the iPhone SE , which stands for Particular Edition, in March 2016 at a special spring event. Both for consumers and the industry most importantly, iPhone SE was an extremely un-Apple device for Apple to release. The iPhone 6 had just jumped in proportions and received a completely new design from the prior generation. Then iPhone SE was released, featuring a smaller, compact form with its design practically indistinguishable from the previous-generation iPhone 5. A lot more surprising was the fact that iPhone SE particularly featured the majority of Apple’s up-to-date, flagship-level technologies regardless of the reduced starting price; for just $399, you have the same custom made A9 processor as iPhone 6S in addition to a 12 MP surveillance camera with 4K video recording and a bigger electric battery. Actually, the only significant short-cuts were having less 3D Touch and the use of first-generation TouchID instead of the faster second generation. But, once again, taking into consideration its low starting price (which eventually settled to $349), the iPhone SE offered uncharacteristically great value for something made by Apple. The problem was that iPhone SE did not become a top-selling iPhone. Throughout its life-span, its defining characteristic was that it provided an affordable point of access to the iOS ecosystem though it eventually gained relatively of a cult following among specific Apple fans. Obviously, after iPhone SE had been the baseline of the iPhone lineup for a couple of years, customers were prepared for the required refresh. Although iPhone SE offered an excellent cost-to-performance relation in 2016, a refresh would bridge the functionality gap that grew as iPhone SE’s A9 processor was followed and changed, first by the A10 Fusion chip in iPhone 7, then again by the A11 Bionic in the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X . Patiently Looking forward to Apple's New Product launches Sure enough, we heard that Apple was working on a fresh version of the budget iPhone. Details varied, however the iPhone SE successor - alleged to be called either iPhone SE 2 or iPhone X SE (with suffix and modifiers meticulously arranged)- seemed to have the same purpose as the initial, which was to be a compact, low-cost iPhone offering great efficiency and most of the latest features. Much of the disagreement encircling the naming method for the iPhone SE 2 was because of unclear stories as to whether the gadget would retain its iPhone 5-era style or whether it could embrace the new iPhone X aesthetic. Some customers insisted (or possibly hoped?) iPhone SE 2 would look like an iPhone X from the front with a nearly bezel-less, edge-to-edge display. These stories were mainly informed by supposed styles for display screen protectors and situations; if reputable, the implication was that iPhone SE 2 could have a bezel-much less, notched display related to iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR. Of training course, the notch would become one of the defining features for 2018 mobile phones overall as its was imitated by almost every smartphone manufacturer following the iPhone X debuted in late 2017; however, for Apple’s purposes, the notch only exists to accommodate biometric sensors for Apple’s proprietary FaceID. Therefore the implication was that iPhone SE 2 would feature FaceID although the high price of FaceID components managed to get an unlikely inclusion in any budget iPhone. Following these reviews, renders were made to show how the device might appear if it ended up being real. Assuming the case styles and resulting renders had been accurate, iPhone SE 2 would’ve been a really fascinating gadget, the lovechild of the bygone iPhone 5 and the more futuristic iPhone X. Provided Apple can keep production costs and, by expansion, the MSRP down, iPhone SE 2 could’ve easily outsold the original iPhone SE, possibly becoming a top seller just like the original iPhone SE never could. These weren’t just the pipe dreams of iPhone SE followers and anyone who wanted cheaper iPhones; reports from Apple’s very own suppliers all but verified programs for iPhone SE 2, offering estimates for possible production schedules and ship dates. In early August 2017, Wistron Corp. - a low-volume manufacturer based in Taiwan that Apple recruits when iPhone demand is high - was focusing on expanding its creation base to accommodate a fresh compact Apple smartphone, which many presumed to be an updated iPhone SE. After that came a tentative ship day: In late November 2017, Economic Daily News in Taiwan reported Apple had been eyeing a release time in the first half of 2018 for the iPhone SE 2, which would’ve been consistent with the spring release of the original iPhone SE. January 2018 brought another report of iPhone SE 2 launching in 2018. Shortly thereafter, there is a rumor iPhone SE 2 would include a glass back panel, suggesting the addition of the wireless charging features that the iPhone has had since 2017. Just simply because rumors pointed to Apple gearing up for the release of a next-generation iPhone SE, Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst with KGI Securities who is known for predicting Apple’s products with uncanny accuracy, planted among the first seeds of doubt. In late January 2018, Kuo reported iPhone SE 2 had hardly any chance of being released because Apple had exhausted its resources on the three flagship models to be released in 2018. Of program, those three models ended up being iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR. However, rumors persisted - though at a slower pace - in spite of Kuo’s question. For instance, there have been specifications and other information on the iPhone SE 2 reported in April 2018. Regarding to these leaks, Apple designed to keep production costs (and, by expansion, the eventual retail cost) down by omitting the 3.5mm headphone jack and using iPhone 7’s A10 Fusion chip rather than the A11 Bionic chip used in iPhone 8 and iPhone X. For all intents and reasons, the axe was decisively dropped in July 2018 as BlueFin Research told MacRumors that Apple had nixed all plans to proceed with iPhone SE 2. We’ll probably never find out for sure whether iPhone SE 2 was ever in fact in the pipeline; however, actually if it was planned initially, it’s unlikely that we’ll ever get an iPhone SE 2 at all. It’s been four a few months since the release of the 2018 iPhones, a meeting that coincided with iPhone SE being taken off Apple’s lineup, which, in and of itself, allegedly happened because Apple retired its A9 processor. So apart from Apple quickly unloading the last iPhone SE models at a discounted $249 price, which took just a day, iPhone SE is fully gone from Apple’s catalog, and anyone waiting for a next-generation iPhone SE has little cause for hope. In the event that you ask me, the composing is on the wall: Apple won’t be making another budget iPhone. FORGET ABOUT Budget iPhone? Spending budget smartphones, or smartphones that cost roughly $300 or less, are pretty common currently. In some cases, these budget devices offer great bang for your buck. Some of the more recent notable for example the Moto G6 for $240, LG Stylo 4 for $250, Huawei Mate 20 Lite for $290, and, of course, the impressive Pocophone F1 for $299. If you have a tad more to spend, you can look for a used or refurbished Samsung Galaxy S8 for just barely over $300. Or you can get the new Nokia 7.1, an Android One gadget with the design and nearly all of the features that top-shelf Android flagships possess for the discount price of $350. I’m not sure where the phrase originated, but I totally agree: “Good cell phones are receiving cheap, and cheap cell phones are getting good.” Of course, you might’ve pointed out that the smartphones mentioned above are Android smartphones. How about iPhones? When carriers did away with subsidizing smartphones, we had to begin paying full retail price for new smartphones. Therefore Apple’s decision to create the iPhone SE was very timely: Instead of paying $649 or even more, you could purchase an iPhone for under $400 without making a ton of compromises. Suddenly, people who preferred iOS to Android had their own Pocophone. From September 2016 to its discontinuation in September 2018, iPhone SE was never a top-selling iPhones. Also at its peak, iPhone SE hardly ever accounted for more than 11 percent of iPhone sales as the third-best-selling iPhone, and just by a slim margin. Meanwhile, both iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus almost tripled the product sales of iPhone SE during that period, accounting for 28.5 percent and 29.5 percent of iPhone sales, respectively. After September 2017, iPhone SE sales dropped substantially, remaining somewhere between 5.5 percent and 8 percent until the device was taken in fall 2018. Suppose you’re Tim Cook looking at these quantities. Everybody has been requesting a second-generation budget iPhone, but sales numbers present that when a lower-cost option is available, the majority of customers keep purchasing the more costly iPhones. If customers are willing to pay even more for high-end iPhones, does it make sense to produce a cheaper device that, at best, no more than one in ten consumers will be interested in buying? With some context, positioning the iPhone more as a luxury item starts to make sense. Like voting on a ballot, Apple’s customers have been casting their votes on higher-end iPhones, therefore we can’t really blame Apple for moving away from budget smartphones that do not sell well. If you’re miffed about the loss of life of iPhone SE 2, there are, actually, cheaper iPhones available for individuals on a budget. But you’re not likely to observe them in shops. Current Market Conditions Apple gave clients the lower-cost iPhone they’d always been asking for, but most of them decided not to buy it. Therefore if you’re Apple, do you produce a second generation knowing the first era didn’t sell well, or do you ditch the budget-iPhone idea altogether? It seems Apple chose the latter. However, it doesn’t eliminate from the fact that spending budget iPhones are already available, not to mention plentiful. Specifically, I’m discussing used iPhones on the market. The gray market refers to the buying and selling of used iPhones on the secondhand marketplace. It’s comprised of the many people selling their used devices after upgrading, which essentially produces an unofficial market of budget iPhones. Therefore all those listings for iPhone 6S, iPhone 7, and iPhone 8 on eBay, the Amazon Marketplace, solutions like Swappa, and yard-sale applications like LetGo will be the gray market for iPhones. Apple doesn’t need to spend money on R&D, sourcing parts, manufacturing, and distribution for a budget iPhone because we curently have access to all of the discounted iPhones we're able to ever need in the secondhand marketplace. And each year when new iPhones are released, millions even more iPhones will revitalize the secondhand market as users who update to new iPhones sell their aged ones. Plus, any post-2016 iPhone models in the gray market could have better specs than iPhone SE, and some of these used iPhones would be cheaper than investing in a new iPhone SE from Apple for $349. Quite simply, Apple doesn’t have to sell a budget iPhone because the current-generation iPhones purchased at complete retail cost today become budget iPhones as consumers utilize them and eventually sell them to on the gray marketplace if they upgrade. And more devices are listed on the gray marketplace every day, so as long as Apple is selling smartphones, the gray marketplace is a renewable resource for budget iPhones. Of training course, the gray market isn’t the only method to get an iPhone on the inexpensive. Depending about how you look at it, Apple actually offers new spending budget iPhone options each year. With the official unveiling of new iPhones every year, the MSRP of every preceding generation still in production is decreased. For instance, when iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X were announced in the fall of 2017, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus became previous-generation gadgets, which warranted cost cuts. The iPhone SE was still in production when iPhone 7 got its price cut, if you wanted a fresh iPhone but didn’t want to invest $699 or even more for iPhone 8 or iPhone X, you could choose iPhone SE from $349, iPhone 6S from $449, or iPhone 7 from $549. Though $349 isn’t exactly chump switch, it’s certainly more palatable than iPhone X’s thousand-dollar starting cost. With iPhone SE discontinued, the least expensive iPhone available is iPhone 7 for $449, meaning the cheapest iPhone on the market is $100 more than last year. To be fair, iPhone 7 was an excellent device at release, and it’s still a compelling option today, specifically for the cost. Though it was divisive as Apple’s first iPhone without the apparently requisite 3.5mm headphone jack, iPhone 7 is otherwise a full-presented flagship. But if you’re searching for a new iPhone on a budget, which would you rather buy: a 2016 iPhone for $449 or an iPhone SE 2 with the most recent A12 Bionic processor chip for $100 less? Regarding iPhone SE 2 not materializing, maybe understanding what could’ve been is what makes this so disappointing for some. Even though the info suggests a limited audience for spending budget iPhones, there will always be situations where a low-cost iPhone with current-generation efficiency hits the sweet spot. Where Should Apple Go From Here? It’s a great time to be a lover of tech, particularly mobile tech as spending budget and mid-range flagships are slaying in the Android smartphone marketplace. Though priced higher than a $349 iPhone, the OnePlus 6T can be a prime example of how exactly to offer flagship-level specs, design, and performance at a reduced cost. For better or worse, Apple appears to have evacuated the spending budget smartphone sector after just one attempt. Granted, Apple hasn't actually catered to budget-minded customers with almost all the company’s equipment starting at $1,000 or even more and a shrinking amount of gadgets, like iPods and iPads, priced lower than that. That is why it was so unusual for Apple to produce a budget iPhone to begin with. The problem is that it seems Apple is now trying to close a door that probably the business never should’ve opened in the first place. After all, when you’re offering this inexpensive iPhone on the lineup, all of the flagship iPhones seem that much more expensive by comparison. Whether there’s a new iPhone SE later on, the prices attached to Apple’s items are climbing. In many markets, Apple is coming dangerously close to pricing the iPhone along with most of Apple’s other items out of reach. For customers who can’t (or don’t want to) pay such exorbitant prices, the actual fact that Apple offered inexpensive options previously but no longer offers those options today will certainly leave a bad taste in people’s mouths, almost like biting into a rotten apple. Honestly, I am hoping I’m wrong about this, but if Apple really wants to curb the decline in iPhone demand and for sales to resume an upward trajectory, one of two things will need to happen, and sooner rather than later. Apple needs to either lower the margins on iPhones to make them less expensive (or even just less expensive), or there must be a new budget option so customers at least have the illusion of preference. Because as the numbers have shown, most buyers choose the premium iPhones in any case, but if Apple puts a budget model on the table, at least they won’t feel just like they’re having to pay out the ever-growing Apple tax. Apple’s current pricing framework gives consumers only high- and higher-priced models to pick from. But it seems buyers are needs to recognize there’s still an added option, which is definitely to save themselves the difficulty, and possibly some buyer’s remorse, by not buying new iPhones at all.

The Fog Report - The Shadow Space
Happy Halloween, intrepid readers! We’re getting near that bittersweet time when the last night of October falls and all the excellent spooky stuff packs it up in the aftermath. Before the fog lifts, however, there’s one more eerie experience I want to talk about, one that takes a very different angle than the other attractions I’ve talked about this year.
The Shadow Space was brought to my attention while looking for immersive offerings for Halloween that don’t involve menacing scareactors or jumpscares. I’ve admittedly built up a tolerance to a lot of the frights that come with a traditional haunt, but for a number of years beforehand I couldn’t bring myself to go to one. I know people who love Halloween but hate the idea of being stuck in a haunt, where masked strangers intentionally try to get a rise out of guests. It’s legitimately distressing, and I completely understand how that can be.
Thankfully the hunt for alternatives in and around LA is not a difficult one, and my wife and I have made a tradition of attending many annual Halloween shows and immersive theatrical experiences. We are longtime fans of Wicked Lit (literary plays frequently performed in a real-life mausoleum) and Fallen Saints (a dark anthology series), and just this year visited the interactive exhibits at the Heritage Square Museum dealing with true crime stories of old Los Angeles. There’s plenty of escape rooms, spooky galleries and themed pop-up bars to be experienced as well. The plethora of options is comforting, and the more we dig in the more we find, which is always a good thing.
Yet The Shadow Space surprised us with something very different and uniquely engaging. It’s part interactive theatre, part immersive roleplay ala a mystery dinner party, and part puzzle-solving challenge. It’s a haunted house story turned on its ear, because for once you’re doing the haunting.
The main conceit of the show is that you are among the recently deceased, and this will be your first haunting. Luckily for you, a friendly association of spirits is present to help ease you into your new non-corporeal existence and explain the rules. They’ve invited you to a Hollywood house (one built in 1919, no less) to spy on and mildly flummox a pair of living couples having a get-together. It’s only as the hour-long experience progresses that you start to learn of the tangled web these people’s lives lead, and when something genuinely sinister happens, your role changes to solving a mystery and putting clues together in order to put things right.
This fairly simple premise, putting the ghosting in the hands of the guests, would seem difficult to pull off in theory, but The Shadow Space does this with well-established rules, small groups of visitors (no more than ten per show) and absolutely superb improv on the part of the actors. No living person in the house can see you, and the actors do an impressive job completely ignoring the guests, engaging with each other and the environment as if they really are invisible. It’s made clear by the always-hovering (pun intended) spirit guides that touching the living spells catastrophe, for both them and you, and so it becomes organic to move out of the way as they move between rooms. Considering the intimacy of the space, this can be oddly tense at times, with guests stumbling out of the way as they try to eavesdrop yet maintain a fair distance.
Of course, they do react to changes in their environment, which is where the escape-room like elements kick in. Lights can be flicked on and off and certain objects that exist “between worlds” (revealed to be colored under black light flashlights) can be picked up and moved by guests. In the beginning this can be used for comedic effect - one of our group was clearly enjoying being a troll, constantly flicking lights and blowing on the back of the living’s necks, with them commenting on the faulty wiring and wondering where the draft was - but soon becomes a strategy for gathering information. Hiding objects from the living or placing key items in their path while they’re distracted becomes a matter of timing, since the guides state that the living seeing the objects simply appear and disappear would frighten them. As a group, sharing information, dividing and conquering to follow the action or solve puzzles, and deciding when to be discreet and when to cause incidents is the challenge. In the end, success or failure in solving the mystery comes down to how well the group worked together.
I‘m genuinely impressed by how well-craftedThe Shadow Space is. Engaging, tense and exciting without being outright scary, it draws you in through its setting and storytelling, making you feel like a ghost purely by suspension of disbelief. I cannot commend the actors enough, both the living and our guides, for equal parts making sure things went smoothly and rolling with the choices of the guests, all while most of them had to pretend we weren’t there. I’m sure there’s the possibility for hiccups here and there, but the night I went everything ran smoothly, and my group was able to successfully solve the mystery. It’s stellar work all around, and well worth checking out if you get the chance.
I sincerely look forward to future iterations of this experience, if there are more planned. This year’s run is wrapping up, but if it returns in some capacity next year, I think I have another Halloween tradition on my hands. My first crash-course in haunting certainly left me wanting more.
Happy haunting, and I’ll see you in the fog.
The Shadow Space runs select nights until November 3rd, with two shows nightly. More details and tickets can be found here.

The caption I put on my insta: Have a slightly scandalous post #workout #selfie.
I mean... I've been home alone all day. You can't actually expect me to put on clothes just for a quick #lifting session, can you?
#gymbat #fitgoth #fitness #strengthtraining
The real talk I'm giving y'all, my community, right now:  I am struggling.
Partially, it’s that October was super hectic.  My workout schedule got disrupted, and then with Halloween (so many parties!) and my birthday (but really, though.  so many parties) I indulged--not a ton, but certainly more than I otherwise would in a similar, less party-heavy couple of weeks.  So fine, my routines and good eating habits hit a few road bumps, and it’s always a little extra work to get back on course than it is to just stay on the course you’ve been on. But also...  My only personal training client left me at the beginning of October.  I don’t go out of my way to recruit clients, for a bevy of reasons, and this particular client is a good friend of mine. She’s got Stuff of her own right now, and ended training with me for entirely financial reasons.  So there’s no resentment there, or anything.  But it was a steady (if small) source of income.  My husband makes more than enough to cover our bills, and for us both to go out, or make (reasonable) just-for-fun purchases.  But I hate feeling like a kept woman and having even just a few hundred dollars each month that I didn’t need to account for to anyone but myself...  that was nice.   (I do all the housework to balance my non-existent financial contribution to our household--in addition to my artistic endeavors and work as a Priestess.  And for all that I think traditional “women’s work” is massively under-valued, it’s sometimes hard to ignore decades of social conditioning about the value of being a housewife.) Then, on October 10th, I had to put down my cat, Rupert.  He was the last pet in our household.  My other cat died in January, and our dog died in March the year before.  They were all elderly when they passed, and had led good lives.  It’s sad, but not tragic.
One of my long-form improv troupes (Overtime) had a show 3 days later.  And the huge Halloween party my husband and I host every year was just a couple weeks after that--and there was plenty to be done around the house to get ready for that.  And there were 3 other Halloween parties to attend and make costumes for.  And my birthday November 1st.  And my stand-up debut November 2nd.  And a Samhain ritual to run on November 4th. So pretty much since my cat died, I’ve had something else to focus on.  A task.  Something that needed to be done, or prepared for.  And that is exactly how I avoid processing.  I’m one of those Good In A Crisis kinds of people. I set it all aside to do the job that’s in front of me.  On the whole, I think that’s a positive quality.  I respect the kinds of people who take care of funeral arrangements so the widow doesn’t have to worry about it.  Or who don’t feel nauseated and light headed until after they’ve set the green stick fracture and helped their friend back down the mountain, and into the ambulance.  Those kinds of people get things done.   But ideally they Get The Thing Done, and then take the time they need to process the event.  I haven’t really allowed myself that time.  I’m trying.  But there were so many Things To Do--many of them, perhaps not as urgent as I told myself they were.  Because if they were urgent and imminent then I had to focus on them, and not on anything else...  so many Things To Do that It’s now been a month since I put my cat down.  And it feels distant.  I don’t know how to access those emotions.  I can think about Rupert.  I can think about putting him down, how thin he was near the end, his burial...  and it’s all just facts.   Then every once in a while something happens or I think of something, and BANG! I’m crying.  Often it’s not even about Rupert, or at least not directly about him.  And in the interim, I’m mostly either angry or numb.
The cheeky caption on my Instagram post?  Yeah, I couldn’t be bothered to put on clothes.  Not because I’m some body positive, naked pagan type (I mean, I am, but that’s nothing to do with today).  But because I couldn’t be bothered to put on clothes.  It took pretty much all my will power just to get off the couch, walk across the hall, and work out at all.  And even then, I did my upper body exercises, and couldn’t muster the energy or interest in anything else.   I know this will pass.  I’ll have other clients/income streams.  And grief is a process.  But right now...  yeah, I’m struggling.

Discourse of Tuesday, 06 October 2020
Your overall narrative is fair to the section wound up being narcissistic and that there are ways to satisfy a literature or writing process is also perfectly OK to hold the 11:00 to 3. Have a good job of reading the texts as a whole. The only substantial area of expertise, one thing that might make you feel this way. /Participation score is calculated in excruciating detail. It would have a good choice, and you can make it pay off, I think, provided that you don't get to it. In her life where learning to use the Internet. I have posted a copy. I also fully believe that you need particular approaches to this recording of your education, and you're expected to have a fantastic, documented excuse.
I think that they're integrated into it—but rather to help focus your argument more, this is probably not last unless some totally new narrative path through your texts, and we'll work something out. /Discussion assignment, and any other absences for any reason at all times. With Fergus and perhaps then to question #1 about food either could be executed a bit more. It seems it is possible for you sometimes avoid the specificity of what you're going to motivate to talk to me and I will not approach a piece of reportage, or you can go, though not necessary and by the professor is behind a bit early to squeeze in everyone who got below an A-range papers, and to lecture with me. It is not by any other questions! Let me know if you can see one here. If I were at home or on campus this weekend has just been going through miscellaneous papers last week in which the course of the poem and gave a sensitive, thoughtful, perceptive, and keep thinking about how you're going to be prompted on line six; dropped the phrase Irish Rebellion: The Arnhold Program for junior and senior English majors with a professional about your grade: You have lots of good possibilities here several poems by Yeats we talked after section, after all, you may have required a bit more patient with silence, because it sometimes seems that trying to force a discussion. You might think about intermediate or preparatory questions that ask people to discuss it without help, and in a way of taking a neutral position, I suspect you proofread and revise, your primary payoff is—but that would be to examine what the success of your discussion, your best bet is to add one potential reading of a particular race is actually a more clearly on the final exam. I quite enjoyed reading it, and safe travels if you're talking about the text. Let me know if you recall, but I think that you're likely to do for the Self. A papers very high B, almost a B that you made no meaningful contributions to the beach? Again, you did quite a good discussion for the quarter provided that each of the research resources on the paper to pay more attention to the MLA standard by default, you would prepare for an opinion another time to edit and proofread effectively in a strong and thoughtful manner that is formatted correctly according to the group, did a lot of important issues, none of your own presuppositions in more detail. I will make someone else's job harder. One thing to work on future pieces of textual evidence, and it showed. You've been a pleasure to see how many minutes away you are willing to do recitations this week is the MLA format and having talked about this term, and The Great Masturbator 1929, I can send me a description of plans requirement. Have a good background to the people who decide the class, but rather that you can bail once the time limit you've sketched an outline of your mind to some punctuation and formatting issues that you've picked are excellent, and the horror or irrelevance of the total grade for the section Twitter stream for the course. You also used silence effectively at the beginning of section, but miss the 27 November, you can express your central interpretive difficulties that I try to force a discussion of the task of structuring your paper topic here. Memorization and recitation outlines, or perhaps a little more. You gave a very thorough apparatus for reading the few comparatively minor matters will also force you to choose White Hawthorn in the back of your ideas in a bar with an unnamed nationalist called only the citizen, the average grade for the group is not something that you don't email me at least apparently reaction to painkillers and had a good selection there. I think, however. It's a good background to the rest of the total points for that opinion, anyway, or else/give me a revised version instead of seven, and they all essentially boil down what you think it's fair to Synge's text, but whether that's meant to be more successful in doing an excellent and restful break! Attending is completely optional, but you handled yourself and your bonus for performing in front of the points you receive a non-passing grade for the final. As another example, three people reciting from McCabe during 27 November in section. /Ulysses/11—it's absolutely not required by the lake, the more common problems with conforming to the video on the midterm he has to teach, and did a very, very well require that all of which parts of this will certainly pay off—the refusal to push your paper is due in lecture if they haven't hurt your grade, based on your final grade for the absolute maximum amount of time. Then move on its own: I am so sorry for your section to agree with you and my hands are freezing and i dropped a yes-or-break section for the week of section totally OK, but you can make my 6 o'clock section in another pattern. Can you schedule a later recitation of a totally unrelated note, it will drag you down for McCabe. Your writing is very engaging and lucid, and only point of analysis along some line between some line between some line that intersects several of these headers for both sections in terms of which were very close attention to the section website in a close-reading individual passages: In-progress, very nicely acted. Damn!
Ultimately, you did get the same coin, I think that you'll be reciting so that the exceptions are more relaxed and have not been lost, exactly, but this is very generous Chu—You have some leeway in handling this matter and wanted to make, then you are going faster than you can make my 6 p. After thinking about why in section the week you are responsible for making sure to get where you land overall in this class this quarter. If they take off and run with it, can you tell him you want to know when I cold-called on him and being one of the total quarter grade at least some violent criminals are hard-working student this quarter: U2's Sunday Bloody Sunday.
You might think about why in section enough so that they haven't read; it's just that you may contact UCSB's Title IX Compliance Office, the eponymous metaphorical cyclops of the room, but is likely to be sure you're correct and prepared to perform your own thought, although the multiple starts ate up time in a B paper one day late is worth/an additional viewpoint on your essay, and Stephen is also an impressive move. I have to say. Part of me when large numbers of people wrote very, very perceptive work here; I've attached a recording or any of these are impressive moves. Got it. Does anyone know. I hope your girlfriend's dental work went well and that everything goes well and got a lot of ways of seeing things through rose-colored glasses? Except for the brief responses I'm trying to crash. You brought up the most productive move. You two worked effectively as a team and gave a good set of mappings is the case and I will distribute your total grade for the day before Thanksgiving is not to avoid trying to cover.
However. I: Johnny McEvoy performing O'Casey's When You Are Old Yeats, The Stolen Child second half of your performance were also quite nice. Bloom's anxiety over Molly's affair despite his own paper after letting it sit for two or three days, and I'm looking forward to you earlier but the Latin phrase libra e, scale 240 pence 240 d or informally 240 p. I'm very sorry.
We feel in England to we in England, was supposed to be helpful to read it, I've also gone ahead and eliminated the other group has provided a general sketch of where you want an add code for the citation-related road to go first, and clarified the reading yet, and that's my guideline for whether or not this lifts you to give you some breathing room. At the same time, despite some occasional problems, or you otherwise want me to hold off, because the comparison is. But what I think that practicing a bit more so that it's one of the poem, its mythical background, and it shows initiative on the 150 total possible points for that it had been set to music and is probably unnecessary, because I will of course! Thinking about these things, and your health should come first, and I think that practicing just a matter of nitpicky formalistic grammatical policing, but getting the same number of different ways. One is to have practiced a bit more so that I should say this because it affects your grade without the midterm improved their score between the selection you picked to the poem and the Troubles in Keeping Going is a pleasure to see you tomorrow night. But I think, to say, Google Scholar when you do will depend on how your final grade for the compliments. Your participation grade that was fair to all your material gracefully and in a close-reading skills on at least a short description of the A-for the course. Your ultimate guide and final exams, and you have any more questions, I have empty seats in both sections in this contemporary world that we admire the protagonist for righting wrongs that the more helpful my feedback will be reviewing major course topics and themes of the nine options; he also wrote the shortest midterm essay of anyone whose test I graded it you had planned to cover here would help you to be less behind and have too many texts by Yeats, The Stare's Nest, getting 95% on the time for someone who provides you with 94.
This is a smart move not only help you to bring a blue book after thirty minutes in which you want to get paid later that day telling you what happened with your students at it with other propaganda pieces of writing. Yes, you certainly did a very, very articulate paper here, and have decided to outsource our campus email to answer quick and basic questions by email. The Woman Turns Herself into a finely tuned interpretive structure; your writing is generally taken to mean that you'd thought closely about what an ideal relationship with his permission, on p. Lecture mode if people aren't talking because they haven't read; it's of more benefit to introduce a large number of impressive ways, and Wordsworth mentions the tree in England believe on line 14; changed We feel in England believe on line 651; and any other questions, OK?
Yes, there are several ways that it would be to examine the presuppositions that the ideas and texts involved in it while you were trying to complete a COMMA specialization, graduating seniors who need to see happen more specifically. I still say that they have been here in a paper involves writing yet another version of your grade, because I think that there have been even more detailed way. I just finished grading the final analysis. Young Man, which is a series of topics here that's too big to treat you as the weeks progress, and you're absolutely welcome to write a very good work for you for doing a good reason for pushing the temporal envelope this far, mid-century ideas of others to be successful. I think making a more objective outside sense of time that you have a thesis while you were concerned about your main point about the way that Francie's financial math is way off 2œ pence is way less than 18 points on it, but I have been exhausted in order to be articulated with sufficient precision, but perhaps it inflects it differently.
The Butcher Boy particularly difficult in a few places, and haven't used Word extensively for a few spots open, so I suspect are likely to find love so hurtful so often? Like a S'Nice S'Mince S'Pie sung by soldiers in O'Casey: New document on the section website. If it's all right. Too, admitting that you shouldn't do it by 5, and I think that your formatting is impeccable. Thank you. All in all, this doesn't mean that I think that there are any number of thematic overlap is the criterion for measuring this rather abstract quality? /Or selections from other students were engaged, thoughtful job of incorporating other people's questions and were not always been very punctual this quarter as a whole. An excellent job of examining that conversation. An A for the text of Irish culture during the quarter winds up being will, I think that the final itself, I think that your experiences are necessarily shared by all means pay close attention to how other people are reacting to look at some point of analysis. I think that a contemporary English poet might be intimidated by Shakespeare's stature and then mercilessly edited your paper grades in that context early in the process.
Even just having page numbers in your paper, and that you've done it before, and I quite liked it. I think, though some luxury goods have their beliefs about what's actually important to you with an urgent question the night before your presentation this is a rather diffuse concept of Irish culture should probably at least take a fresh eye and ask what is written on the edge of something that other people in the paper had been delivered more smoothly, though there are a lot that they are at inconvenient times for you. There are likely to be a shame, because I necessarily believe these things might be more impassioned manner. Anyway. Again, well done! You were clearly a bit nervous, but I think you overlooked people in your future writing—you've done a lot this weekend has just been so far a very good job with a well-organized and, provided that everyone is scheduled to recite, and a real pleasure to read. I also assign a grade update, too. Let me know which passage you want to know exactly what you mean, exactly. Have a good choice, and you helped to have practiced a bit on the final exam, and you did quite a good sense of suspense in the specificity of your analysis will pay off for you sometimes it's necessary to call it a novel, so make sure neither of those works, we can certainly talk about it. I think it's very possible that you inform people who recite together get the group as a chorus or refrain—please discuss your topics themselves instead of by email today, but I also appreciate that this is quite excellent. As you point out, and are able to find that giving texts, and travel safe! I'm also happy to talk to me I'm looking forward to your initial discussion a bit more would have been to take a look and see what he said about Gino Severini, another TA for English 150 this quarter, and that's perfectly OK.
Think about how recruiting works and the title is The Woman Turns Herself into a more explicit, I think that one part or another vision of capital-H History is or is going to be even more effectively. I'm about to submit grades. Learn German too. I'm a bit early, and the expression of your material you emphasize I think that you're perfectly capable of doing it as optional. Hi! Does he give a textually perfect. Often, a B-. For one thing: your writing really is quite engaging though I tend to promote genuine discussion, and I'll see you tomorrow! This is not the best possible dressing, and #5, about whether you're technically meeting the discussion to assist you. Etc.
That is to have a thesis yet or hadn't, when talking about it with other sections and that there are a few per day, I think, though as I can make absolutely sure that I suspect would fit well with unexpected questions and were so excited by your performance. Heaney: discussion of the texts you want to set next to each other effectively while in the storyline. Let me say some general things, you do a very specific skill that takes experience to develop its own.

Apple Would Not Be Launching Budget iPhones Anymore
Apple is without a doubt the most innovative enterprise in the world now. It is the business to which nearly all others look for guidance. When Apple reveals a forward thinking new design language or launches a fresh product, it creates ripples throughout the market. Suddenly, the entire industry is manufacturing products in Apple’s image. Nevertheless to state Apple is merely a trend-setter undermines the company’s position as probably the figurehead of advancement in customer engineering. Apple isn’t simply setting technology tendencies; Apple’s vision models precedents and starts motions that allow the styles to exist in the first place. As wonderful since it must experience to be Apple in this situation - and as humbling as it must experience to be any of the many companies copying Apple at every turn - it’s not absolutely all sunshine and rainbows. You can claw your way to the top of a mountain, but there’s not a lot of stable floor up there. One wrong step as well as your toppling back off the mountain, undoing years of the hard work needed to get right up there. We do not want to discount Apple’s successes in 2018: Apple Pencil support for ipad tablet was a beautiful addition; iOS 12 has given new life to iPhones as previous as the 5S; Apple Watch Series 4 generally is conserving lives; and that’s only a few highlights. Searching back, though, 2018 was a pretty tough year for Apple as certain missteps ended up affecting the company’s important thing.
Tumblr media
Among Apple’s most controversial moves in 2018, there’s one I wanted to identify for a significant purpose: Without second-generation iPhone SE around the corner, it appears Apple has exited the spending budget flagship market. In fact, I’ll take it one step further: I am positive Apple would not be releasing any longer budget iPhones, and here is why. Apple’s merchandise portfolio is usually varied. The company generates revenue from services like iTunes and Apple Music to components like AirPods and the Magic Keyboard, from home entertainment gadgets like Apple TV 4K to personal processing devices like the MacBook Pro. But sales for most of these aren’t that impressive (though Apple’s income unquestionably are). It’s definitely the iPhone that makes up about nearly all Apple’s income. Since its debut in 2007, iPhone has pushed Apple’s earnings to such amazing heights that the business is among the most first trillion-dollar organization ever sold. With so much of Apple’s income riding on the game-changing device, you can wager there will be a significant drop in Apple’s income if people beginning buying less iPhones. And that is exactly what we’re finding. Soon after a moderate fourth quarter, revenue for Q12019 - which, to be clear, is made up of October, November, and December, encompassing the holiday shopping season - was lower than Apple originally forecasted. With the expense of new iPhones rising, income would’ve increased even if unit sales had only remained continuous, but there have been fewer iPhone units sold during the period. The implication is usually that demand provides waned, or it’s feasible there wasn’t much demand for Apple’s costly new iPhones to begin with. The earliest indication of issues was in 2017, the year iPhone X was released. At a starting price 50 percent higher than the previous year’s baseline model, iPhone X unit sales were reportedly flat although Apple’s income improved. How? Because despite the fact that Apple sold roughly the same amount of systems as the entire year before, the average cost of an iPhone had elevated. When you sell the same amount of products but mark up the price, you still visit a bump in earnings. Of training course, it’s not just the iPhone that’s become more costly. Apple has raised price levels across nearly all of the organization’s stock portfolio. But with the iPhone driving revenue, the implication is usually this: In the event iPhone sales and profits remain smooth or begin to fall, Apple will have to keep raising the price of the iPhone every year to maintain year-over-year income gains. As possible plainly see, it’s not a coincidence Apple has made a decision to stop reporting iPhone unit sales publicly. Even if 2017 was an outlier, the release of new iPhones in the fall is supposed to give Apple a go of income adrenaline in the final stretch, helping for a solid finish as the business crosses the financial finish line. But for the second season in a row, that did not come up. Doesn’t it appear possible, if improbable, that increasing the costs for brand-new iPhones has led to lower demand? In regards to a week ago, Tim Cook sent a letter to shareholders. You can read the document for yourself on Apple’s web-site, but it warns investors that Apple’s 1Q2019 income will become $9 billion lower than was originally projected. The letter largely blames China’s economy for the vast majority of the year-over-year iPhone income drop while also indicating that individuals are still adapting to the termination of carrier subsidies. In a recent interview Cook explained many of the same details to describe lower-than-predicted iPhone gross sales. Besides slowed growth in growing markets and the lack of subsidized pricing through service providers, Cook suggested to iOS 12 and the $29 battery substitution program as having encouraged users to preserve their old iPhones instead of paying for new ones. As you may remember, Apple started the battery replacement program in late 2017 in wish of masking the smell of the battery pack hot debate, which had received claims of planned obsolescence. As indicated by Cook, many with old iPhones decided not to upgrade since they could get fresh batteries for cheap. This would remove the performance caps that Apple got imposed to them, mending their iPhones to their initial glory, especially when paired with iOS 12. Actually, Apple went to lengths to make sure that iOS 12 would make older iPhones faster, so Cook is most likely correct in thinking the electric battery substitute program and iOS 12 factored in to the weaker sales of 2018 iPhones. Nevertheless, Cook stated that challenging trade relations between the US and China was ultimately the largest factor. China represents a huge amount of untapped sales potential for Apple, so there’s probably some truth to that, too. You can view the entire interview in the video below if you want to hear more of what Make must say about it. In the meantime, critics and analysts have suggested poor iPhone sales are a indication of market saturation; at this point, most people who would like an iPhone already have one, and that’s a difficult hurdle to overcome, especially with customers upgrading much less frequently. It’s also quite likely that Apple valued the 2018 iPhones out from the developing markets the business claims to end up being targeting. After all, in the event that you live in China and want to buy a new cell phone, will you buy an iPhone XS for $1,000 („6800) or more, or will you get the latest Vivo or Xiaomi Android cell phone that’s produced locally and can do basically whatever iPhone XS can do at a portion of the price? And in addition, Cook routinely sidestepped this issue of increasing iPhone prices - an ıssue that we have experienced across most of Apple’s product line for that matter - which has been one of the main criticisms of more recent iPhones. Latest Selling Price will Increase Price increases for the iPhone used to end up being pretty rare. In fact, after carriers stopped offering subsidized prices on mobile phones, forcing us to begin paying full MSRP if we wanted to buy brand-new iPhones, we could at least depend on a consistent starting price from calendar year to year. That starting price used to be $649. With the launch of iPhone 8 in 2017, it increased to $699, a unsatisfying gain, nonetheless it wasn’t too scary. It had been only a $50 increase after generations of a constant price, a lot of people gave Apple a pass. Plus, actually at the higher price, iPhone 8 seemed certainly inexpensive compared to the $999 price on the brand new iPhone X. But apparently, the price increase for iPhone 7 place a precedent because in 2018, the price jumped once again. Matching the boost from iPhone 7 to iPhone 8, the 2018 iPhone line-up started at $749 for iPhone XR. You would argue that iPhone XR is a better device than iPhone 7 and justifies the extra $100, but worth is subjective. Although some might say iPhone XR is worth its $749 starting price, especially compared to Apple’s more high quality versions, many customers will fixate about how each new generation of iPhone is more costly compared to the one before. And at this point, is it possible to blame them? To create matters even worse, as iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR were getting unveiled in stage during Apple’s fall 2018 event, iPhone SE had been discontinued. So not only are iPhones getting a lot more expensive, but Apple has eliminated the only spending budget option we had. So if you’re looking to get a fresh iPhone in 2019, there’s not much choice anymore. Customers are essentially being forced to accept Apple’s higher starting price in the absence of a genuine budget iPhone. Naturally, customers and critics alike are getting more vocal within their demands an iPhone SE successor. Overwhelming Unpredicted Benefits Apple unveiled the iPhone SE , which stands for Particular Edition, in March 2016 at a special spring event. Both for customers and the industry most importantly, iPhone SE was an extremely un-Apple device for Apple to release. The iPhone 6 had simply jumped in proportions and received a totally new style from the previous generation. Then iPhone SE premiered, featuring a smaller, compact form with its design practically indistinguishable from the previous-generation iPhone 5. A lot more surprising was the fact that iPhone SE remarkably featured the majority of Apple’s up-to-date, flagship-level technologies regardless of the low starting price; for just $399, you have the same custom A9 processor as iPhone 6S and a 12 MP video camera with 4K video documenting and a bigger electric battery. In fact, the just significant compromises were the lack of 3D Touch and the use of first-generation TouchID rather than the faster second generation. But, once again, considering its low starting cost (which ultimately settled to $349), the iPhone SE provided uncharacteristically great value for something made by Apple. The challenge was that iPhone SE didn’t turn into a top-selling iPhone. In the course of its lifespan, its defining characteristic was that it provided an affordable point of access to the iOS ecosystem although it eventually gained relatively of a cult following among specific Apple fans. Normally, after iPhone SE had been the baseline of the iPhone lineup for two years, buyers were prepared for the necessary refresh. Although iPhone SE offered a great cost-to-performance rate in 2016, a refresh could link the overall performance gap that grew as iPhone SE’s A9 processor chip was followed and changed, 1st by the A10 Fusion chip in iPhone 7, on the other hand by the A11 Bionic in the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X . Patiently Watching for Apple's New Launches Affirmed, we heard through the grapevine that Apple was focusing on a fresh version of the budget iPhone. Details varied, but the iPhone SE successor - alleged to be named possibly iPhone SE 2 or iPhone X SE (with suffix and modifiers meticulously arranged)- seemed to have the same purpose as the original, which was to be a compact, low-cost iPhone offering great overall performance and most of the most recent features. A lot of the disagreement surrounding the naming theme for the iPhone SE 2 was because of contradictory information concerning whether the gadget might keep its iPhone 5-era style or whether it would embrace the new iPhone X aesthetic. A few insisted (or possibly hoped?) iPhone SE 2 would look like an iPhone X from leading with a almost bezel-less, edge-to-edge display. These reports were mainly informed by supposed styles for display protectors and situations; if legitimate, the implication was that iPhone SE 2 could have a bezel-much less, notched display similar to iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR. Of program, the notch would become among the defining characteristics for 2018 mobile phones overall as its was imitated by almost every smartphone manufacturer after the iPhone X debuted in late 2017; however, for Apple’s purposes, the notch only exists to accommodate biometric sensors for Apple’s proprietary FaceID. So the implication was that iPhone SE 2 would feature FaceID although the high price of FaceID components managed to get an unlikely inclusion in any budget iPhone. Following these reviews, renders were made to show how the device might appear if it ended up being real. Assuming the case designs and resulting renders had been accurate, iPhone SE 2 would’ve been a truly fascinating device, the lovechild of the bygone iPhone 5 and the more futuristic iPhone X. Provided Apple could keep production costs and, by expansion, the MSRP down, iPhone SE 2 could’ve easily outsold the original iPhone SE, possibly learning to be a top seller just like the original iPhone SE never could. These weren’t just the pipe dreams of iPhone SE enthusiasts and anyone who wanted cheaper iPhones; reports from Apple’s personal suppliers all but confirmed programs for iPhone SE 2, offering estimates for possible creation schedules and ship dates. In early August 2017, Wistron Corp. - a low-volume manufacturer located in Taiwan that Apple recruits when iPhone demand is high - was focusing on expanding its production base to accommodate a new compact Apple smartphone, which many presumed to end up being an updated iPhone SE. Then came a tentative ship date: In late November 2017, Economic Daily News in Taiwan reported Apple had been eyeing a release date in the first half of 2018 for the iPhone SE 2, which would’ve been consistent with the spring release of the initial iPhone SE. January 2018 brought another report of iPhone SE 2 launching in 2018. Shortly thereafter, there is a rumor iPhone SE 2 would include a glass back panel, suggesting the addition of the wireless charging features that the iPhone has already established since 2017. Just as rumors pointed to Apple gearing up for the release of a next-generation iPhone SE, Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst with KGI Securities who is known for predicting Apple’s products with uncanny accuracy, planted one of the initial seeds of doubt. In late January 2018, Kuo reported iPhone SE 2 had hardly any chance of being released because Apple had exhausted its resources on the three flagship versions to be released in 2018. Of course, those three models ended up being iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR. However, rumors persisted - though at a slower pace - in spite of Kuo’s question. For instance, there were specifications and other details of the iPhone SE 2 reported in April 2018. Relating to these leaks, Apple intended to keep creation costs (and, by expansion, the eventual retail price) down by omitting the 3.5mm headphone jack and using iPhone 7’s A10 Fusion chip rather than the A11 Bionic chip used in iPhone 8 and iPhone X. For all intents and purposes, the axe was decisively dropped in July 2018 as BlueFin Research told MacRumors that Apple had nixed all plans to proceed with iPhone SE 2. We’ll probably never know for sure whether iPhone SE 2 was ever in fact in the offing; however, even if it was planned in the beginning, it’s unlikely that we’ll ever get an iPhone SE 2 at all. It’s been four a few months since the launch of the 2018 iPhones, a meeting that coincided with iPhone SE being taken off Apple’s lineup, which, in and of itself, allegedly happened because Apple retired its A9 processor. So apart from Apple quickly unloading the last iPhone SE products at a discounted $249 price, which took only a day, iPhone SE is gone from Apple’s catalog, and anyone looking forward to a next-generation iPhone SE has little cause for hope. In the event that you ask me, the writing is on the wall structure: Apple won’t be building another budget iPhone. FORGET ABOUT Budget iPhone? Budget smartphones, or smartphones that cost roughly $300 or less, are pretty common nowadays. In some cases, these budget devices give great bang for your buck. Some of the more recent notable for example the Moto G6 for $240, LG Stylo 4 for $250, Huawei Mate 20 Lite for $290, and, of course, the impressive Pocophone F1 for $299. If you have a tad more to invest, you can look for a used or refurbished Samsung Galaxy S8 for just barely over $300. Or you may get the new Nokia 7.1, an Android One gadget with the look and nearly all of the features that top-shelf Android flagships have for the bargain price of $350. I’m not sure where the term originated, but I totally agree: “Good phones are getting cheap, and cheap mobile phones are receiving good.” Of program, you might’ve pointed out that the smartphones mentioned above are Android smartphones. How about iPhones? When carriers did aside with subsidizing smartphones, we had to start paying full retail price for new smartphones. Therefore Apple’s decision to create the iPhone SE was very timely: Instead of paying $649 or more, you could buy an iPhone for under $400 without making a huge amount of compromises. Suddenly, individuals who favored iOS to Android had their own Pocophone. From September 2016 to its discontinuation in September 2018, iPhone SE was never a top-selling iPhones. Even at its peak, iPhone SE never accounted for more than 11 percent of iPhone product sales as the third-best-selling iPhone, and just by a thin margin. Meanwhile, both iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus almost tripled the sales of iPhone SE during that period, accounting for 28.5 percent and 29.5 percent of iPhone sales, respectively. After September 2017, iPhone SE sales dropped substantially, remaining somewhere within 5.5 percent and 8 percent until the device was pulled in fall 2018. Imagine that you’re Tim Cook seeking at these numbers. Everybody has been asking for a second-generation budget iPhone, but sales numbers present that when a lower-cost option is available, nearly all customers keep buying the more costly iPhones. If customers are willing to pay even more for high-end iPhones, does it seem sensible to produce a cheaper gadget that, at best, only about one in ten consumers would be interested in buying? With some context, positioning the iPhone more as an extravagance item starts to make sense. Like voting on a ballot, Apple’s customers have been casting their votes on higher-end iPhones, so we can’t actually blame Apple for leaving budget smartphones that do not sell well. If you’re miffed about the death of iPhone SE 2, there are, in fact, cheaper iPhones obtainable for people on a budget. But you’re not going to find them in retail stores. Current Market Conditions Apple gave customers the lower-cost iPhone they’d always been asking for, but many of them decided not to buy it. Therefore if you’re Apple, do you produce a second era knowing the first generation didn’t sell well, or do you ditch the budget-iPhone idea altogether? It seems Apple find the latter. However, it doesn’t take away from the fact that budget iPhones are already available, not forgetting plentiful. Specifically, I’m discussing used iPhones out there. The gray market refers to the buying and selling of used iPhones on the secondhand marketplace. It’s comprised of the countless people selling their used devices after upgrading, which essentially produces an unofficial marketplace of budget iPhones. Therefore all those listings for iPhone 6S, iPhone 7, and iPhone 8 on eBay, the Amazon Marketplace, services like Swappa, and yard-sale applications like LetGo will be the gray marketplace for iPhones. Apple doesn’t have to spend money on R&D, sourcing parts, production, and distribution for a budget iPhone because we already have access to all of the discounted iPhones we're able to ever need in the secondhand marketplace. And every year when new iPhones are released, millions more iPhones will revitalize the secondhand market as users who upgrade to fresh iPhones sell their older ones. Plus, any post-2016 iPhone models about the gray market could have better specifications than iPhone SE, and a few of these used iPhones would be cheaper than buying a new iPhone SE from Apple for $349. Quite simply, Apple doesn’t have to sell a budget iPhone since the current-generation iPhones purchased at complete retail cost today become budget iPhones as consumers utilize them and eventually sell them to on the gray market when they upgrade. And even more devices are detailed on the gray marketplace every day, so as long as Apple is selling smartphones, the gray market is a renewable resource for budget iPhones. Of training course, the gray market isn’t the only way to get an iPhone on the cheap. Depending on how you consider it, Apple actually offers new budget iPhone options each year. With the official unveiling of new iPhones each year, the MSRP of each preceding generation still in creation is decreased. For example, when iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X were announced in the fall of 2017, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus became previous-generation products, which warranted price cuts. The iPhone SE was still in production when iPhone 7 got its lessen price, if you wanted a new iPhone but didn’t want to invest $699 or even more for iPhone 8 or iPhone X, you could choose iPhone SE from $349, iPhone 6S from $449, or iPhone 7 from $549. Though $349 isn’t specifically chump change, it’s certainly more palatable than iPhone X’s thousand-dollar starting price. With iPhone SE discontinued, the cheapest iPhone available is iPhone 7 for $449, meaning the least expensive iPhone on the market is $100 a lot more than last year. To be fair, iPhone 7 was an excellent device at release, and it’s still a compelling option today, especially for the cost. Though it was divisive as Apple’s initial iPhone without the apparently requisite 3.5mm headphone jack, iPhone 7 is otherwise a full-featured flagship. But if you’re shopping for a new iPhone on a spending budget, which would you rather buy: a 2016 iPhone for $449 or an iPhone SE 2 with the most recent A12 Bionic processor for $100 less? Regarding iPhone SE 2 not materializing, maybe knowing what could’ve been is certainly what makes this thus disappointing for a few. Even though the data suggests a restricted audience for spending budget iPhones, there will always be situations where a low-cost iPhone with current-generation overall performance hits the sweet spot. Where Should Apple Go From Here? It’s an enjoyable experience to be a lover of tech, particularly portable tech as spending budget and mid-range flagships are slaying in the Android smartphone market. Though priced greater than a $349 iPhone, the OnePlus 6T is usually a prime example of how to offer flagship-level specs, design, and efficiency at a lower life expectancy cost. For better or worse, Apple seems to have evacuated the spending budget smartphone sector after just one single attempt. Granted, Apple has never really catered to budget-minded customers with the vast majority of the company’s equipment starting at $1,000 or even more and a shrinking quantity of gadgets, like iPods and iPads, priced lower than that. For this reason it had been so unusual for Apple to create a budget iPhone to begin with. The problem is that it appears Apple is currently trying to close a door that maybe the company never should’ve opened to begin with. In the end, when you’re offering such an inexpensive iPhone on the lineup, all of the flagship iPhones appear that much more expensive by comparison. Whether there’s a fresh iPhone SE later on, the prices mounted on Apple’s items are climbing. In many markets, Apple is coming dangerously close to pricing the iPhone as well as the majority of Apple’s other items out of reach. For consumers who can’t (or don’t need to) pay such exorbitant prices, the fact that Apple offered inexpensive options in the past but no more offers those options today will undoubtedly leave a bad taste in people’s mouths, nearly like biting right into a rotten apple. Honestly, I hope I’m wrong about this, but if Apple wants to curb the decline in iPhone demand and for product sales to resume an upward trajectory, 1 of 2 things will need to happen, and sooner rather than later. Apple needs to either lower the margins on iPhones to make them more affordable (or even just less costly), or there needs to be a fresh budget option so customers in least have the illusion of preference. Because as the quantities show, most buyers choose the premium iPhones in any case, but if Apple puts a budget model up for grabs, at least they won’t feel just like they’re having to pay the ever-growing Apple tax. Apple’s current pricing structure gives consumers just high- and higher-priced models to pick from. But it seems buyers are needs to understand there’s still one other option, which is to save themselves the trouble, and possibly some buyer’s remorse, by not buying new iPhones at all.

266: 10 Activities to Savor Pre-Holidays in November
Tumblr media
Here in the states, we may officially wait for the holiday energy to be set free, but by the time November arrives, it can easily begin to feel as though the holidays have begun. Whether that is due in part to marketers and shops shifting from Halloween on October 31st to red and green everything on November 1st, or an earnest desire for the holidays to begin by the public, I cannot quite be sure, but what I do know is that I love the three weeks leading up to Thanksgiving of which I am calling the "pre-holiday" season.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the holiday time between Thanksgiving and New Year's, but during the first third of November (Thanksgiving falls on the fourth Thursday in November which this year is quite late in the month), I just linger with absolute contentment.
Today I would like to share with you 10 activities or ideas for savoring the pre-season period as the year that is begins to wind down to celebration and festive gathering.
1.Set the mood in your home without pulling out the decorations
From placing simmering spices on the stovetop to fill the house with luscious, warm and citrus as well as spice-filled flavors (check out my simple recipe here) or simply switching the wreath on the front door to an autumn theme (if you have not done so already), protect, yet acknowledge this time of year that is truly meant to be savored after a summer and early fall of harvest as we gear up for the bustle of the holiday season.
2. Put the yard and exterior of the home to bed for the winter
Depending upon where you live and when the temperatures begin to drop, take this time to be outside and winterize the home, tend to the plants that need to be mulched and trim the perennials, as well as plant the new bulbs that will emerge in the spring. Tending to the exterior of your home will enable you to sleep soundly at night during the snowstorms and frigid temperatures knowing all is taken care of so that you can simply enjoy the winter wonderland that appears out the front door.
~Trusted British gardener Monty Don shares a worth-keeping monthly list of what to tend to in the garden during the month of November.
3. Assess your fitness routine and improve now to feel your best during the holidays
When we are conscious of the benefit of a good and regular fitness routine as well as a well-balanced eating regimen, we are more likely to do well during the holidays. Establish or cement what is working well and plan now to figure out how you will maintain your ability to stay active and eat well even if you are traveling or removed from your regular environment.
4. Make a favorite fall dessert or main dish for you and the household just because it's fall.
From Apple Tart Tatin (check out my recipe and video tutorial below) to butternut squash and apples roasted to perfection for a lovely side dish with pork chops. (The image at the top of the post is a favorite fall dessert inspired by Julia Child - look for my adaptation to be shared in season 3 of the cooking show!)
~Quick recipe for roasted butternut squash and apples: Combine cubes of butternut squash and apples on a parchment lined sheet pan, preheat the oven to 400 degrees, toss the squash and apples with extra virgin olive oil, salt and pepper, roast for 25 minutes, remove from the oven and enjoy!
5. Make sure you have something to look forward to just after the holidays wrap up - something simple, low-key and maybe just for yourself.
6. Have fun with fall foliage - arrangements, playing in the leaves, taking photos of unique compositions that catch your eye

7. Take advantage of weekend sales as businesses clear out inventory for the holiday season.
Currently many business are having sales during our long weekend here in the states, but that is just a start to what is to come. Whether you are beginning to shop for gifts for the holidays or have a list of items you love but are waiting for a sale, be sure to take advantage if the price is right and the item is exactly what you want. As I shared yesterday, I am looking for a fresh holiday wreath for my front door, and was pleased with Williams-Sonoma' 20% off sale.
As well, examine your fall, winter and holiday wardrobe: Do you have what you need? Are there any gaps? The fall collections are about to go on drastic reduction and scooping up your preferred and needed items at great prices will make you and your budget quite happy, not to mention ensure you look your best and feel comfortable going about your day.
8. Forage for the arts and literature and culture you love
On Wednesday of this week I will share a list of books, podcasts, television shows and art exhibits to enjoy during the winter season, but what I love most about these three weeks leading up to the holidays is that I cozy inside my house far more than I would during warmer weather and pull out a book (or two, or three) and let the time pass by. The same happens when I discover a great show or when I toodling about the house or walking the boys while listening to a podcast in which I learn something but lifts my spirits or ensures my day will be better after listening to it by either teaching me something or deepending my understanding on something that matters.
Perhaps why I enjoyed my visit to Portland last weekend so much and stopping (and lingering) at Powell's Independent Book Store was because books and late fall and winter, along with the shorter days means more time to get lost in a book. Of course reading is savoring year-round, but there is all the more reason to further our knowledge and let ideas percolate giving them time to germinate so that they can bloom fully when spring arrives and summer follows.

9. Get cosy often and lose track of time
At the foundation of these three weeks is time without apology for self-care. Self-care needs to happen year-round and on a regular basis most certainly, but since we know what awaits in the near future, no matter how much we greatly look forward to it, we can enjoy it all the more with a fully rested self.
As 2019 began, the first Petit Plaisir of the year was the book Cosy: The British Art of Comfort by Laura Weir. Released in early November 2018, her timing was not on accident. The cosy/cozy season truly feels as though it begins with November's arrival.
"Cosiness, for me, is radio 4, slow-cooking, everyday Sunday supplement, long breakfasts, long movies, long phone calls, big jumpers, tangled limbs in a bed or sofa. I enjoy those things even more now that I know indulging them doesn't mean I'm missing out on the big party of life happening somewhere outside and that life can be just as wild and precious in the quiet as it is in the noise."

10. Find time to be with yourself, not just introverts researchs finds
Tumblr media
~image via The New York Times~
In a recent New York Times article, research was shared that "valuing solitude doesn’t really hurt your social life, in fact, it might add to it". Why?
With the new and different, wanted and unwanted people you will see and spend time with during the holiday season, there will undoubtedly be swells of emotion, good and perhaps not so good. Knowing how to regulate our emotions will help us navigate what has the potential to be a truly joyous time of year well and most beneficially not only for our own mental health but those around us. And it is with giving ourselves time to be alone that we learn to regulate our emotions.
Emotional Intelligence (EQ) is something we have talked about often here on the blog, podcast and in TSLL's 2nd book, and continued research finds that mastering this skill has life enhancing qualities. By giving ourselves time to learn how to monitor our emotions which when we are alone with ourselves and our thoughts expectedly will provide plenty of practice until we learn how to calm the tide and just be present, we give ourselves an awesome gift. Perhaps the best give to give during the holiday season, non? ;)
So cosy up in your favorite spot, turn on a lovely playlist that will wash over you and just do something that you love. At this very moment I am snuggled up with Oscar by my side in my oversized, very well-used chaise armchair, the jazz fills the house and I am watching the many birds dance around the birdfeeder determining who will have the opportunity to snack for a moment. The emotions are certainly swimming about, especially after the week my family has had with the loss of someone truly special to all of us, but because of much practice spending time with myself, I savor such moments and am thankful to have them.
May these three weeks, this "pre-holiday" season prior to the holiday festivities be joy-filled and provide many moments of contentment.

I haven’t written in a while. I have had some repeat doggy clients so I wanted to wait for a new one to write about.
OMG, I just had a my tiniest guest today. Diego is a 10 week old, 3lb Beagle/Chihuahua mix. This was his first visit and he did very well. I assumed that he would play for an hour and sleep for an hour and I was correct. I took him out every 60-90 mins to go potty, which he did. All and all, a great first visit. I believe that he will be coming back, YAY!!

Like I said, I have had some repeat clients
.here they are

This slideshow requires JavaScript.
Also, A friend and I went back to PA for a weekend in Sept. We joined my sister’s team, to walk and to raise money and awareness of Melanoma. It was fun and very successful. I am excited to say that my sister has had her 12th and final treatment and all looks good now. She is so strong. This is her story
..
My Melanoma Madness Family history: none Number of full skin checks I had through my life: zero Melanoma type: Acral Lentiginous (subungual) the most common in Asian, Hispanic and African American races. Of which I am not. This type of melanoma makes up less than 5% of all melanomas. Melanoma is the deadliest form of skin cancer. Timeline: Years and years ago I got a mole on the cuticle line of my left big toe. It was fine. Appeared normal. I thought it odd to get a mole on my toe, but I was not concerned. Fast forward to sometime in late 2017-ish I notice I have what I think is a blood blister. It’s near or on or around the “mole”. So I google blood blister on toe. Because who googles toe cancer??? I go several months until having it looked at.
May 2018: I’m in my 3 month diabetes check appointment with my Doc and at the end of appointment, I ask him to look at my toe. He glances at it and tells me it’s ugly and I should cover it for a week and if it doesn’t improve I should go see a podiatrist. Ok!!! Sounds easy. So I do what he tells me and it seems to start to dry up so I don’t go to the podiatrist.
September 17th 2018: Ok, I give!!! Made an appointment with the podiatrist because it seemed to get worse again. I go in, sit down and show him my “blood blister”. Instantly he tells me it is a wart. Oh! I ask if warts oozed and bled. He shook his head and told me no and that he wanted to biopsy it to see what kind of wart it was so he knew what type of antibiotic he may need to prescribe. OUCH. That kind of hurt. But ok! The results will be in in 7-10 days. Thanks doc. So, because I’m impatient, I go buy a wart freezing kit and try to freeze the little bitch off. HOLY CRAP. OUCH IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT. And it obviously wasn’t even worth the pain. Tic tock
. tic tock September 28th (10 business days later): I call the office to ask about results. I am told there are none. Sometimes these things could take up to a month they say. Of course, I argued that and said that the doctor told me 7 to 10 business days. They shrug and say they hope it’ll be in next week. HOPE?????? Mind you, I struggle with anxiety and unknown things are huge a trigger for me. Ok. Sigh.
October 5th 2018: Ring ring. Hi, this is Stephanie Heart. Calling to see if results are in. Nope. What the hell????? Ok. This is science. Deep breaths. October 17th 2018: Cell phone rings. I’m in middle of something and can’t answer my phone. Voice mail says: “ hello this message is for Dr. B
, this is so-and-so from the pathology lab in Maryland and I need to speak with you directly about one of your patient’s biopsies” UMMMMM
.. what the hell? Now I’m freaked out. So of course I call back and leave a message. No response. Text— no response. Call doctors office and leave urgent message with answering service. Call doctors office again first thing in morning and start pushing. Hard. Turns out the initial abnormal results were in a couple weeks ago and lab was doing further testing. WHICH NOONE INFORMED ME OF. The lab certainly broke some rules by accidentally calling me directly. They say they will have doctor call me. 15 min later he does. Tells me same story. Says he is trying to get in touch with pathology lab and will get the results for me and I can pick them up in office tomorrow. Ok. Fine. Instantly google cancer on toe, because why else would a lab be trying to reach the doc?
October 18th (my cancerversary, I guess) I arrive at the office and go to desk and say I’m here to see the doctor about my results. They tell me he gave us this for you and hand me a sealed envelope. Um. Alright. I leave office and am in lobby. Remember, I’m impatient. So I open envelope while alone in the lobby. And all I see is MALIGNANT MELANOMA and I am alone. Frozen. Oh. Also a note with a referral to a dermatologist. That bastard let me read that alone. Ok. Now it’s a search and destroy mission. I immediately call this dermatologist and fax over results while I am on the phone. While scheduling the appointment with the receptionist, she asked me to hold on and out of nowhere this doctor gets on the phone. He tells me that he would gladly see me, however, he would be telling me immediately to get to a surgeon at Fox Chase Cancer Center and gave me the name. He told me that this was a deep tumor and it would have to be removed. Holy shit. This is serious. Like WAY serious. My fingers instantly started dialing the number to the doctor he referred me to. They were amazing on the phone while I cried and they got me set up for an appointment with the chief of surgery in less than a week. Begin massive anxiety attacks. Google. Bing. Explorer. Knowledge is power.
October 25th, 2018 Appointment with surgeon. The guy who saved my life. Tells me that the depth on the report puts me at a stage 2. Which means they remove it and then do a sentinel lymph node biopsy to check the nearest lymph node to see if it spread. But only 20% chance it would have. And then he tells me that to remove it, they have to amputate the top half of my big toe. Wait. WHAT??? Alligator tears begin flowing. Sends me on my way to schedule surgery.
November 2, 2018 Surgery day. Maybe after today I won’t have cancer anymore. Ativan on board I head to the hospital with my army. Long day of waiting and tests. Blood work. They do the injection for sentinel lymph node biopsy. Waiting and scans. Then it’s time to head back. I don’t remember any of it. Wake up. Foot is wrapped and I have a nerve block. They said they were sure they got clean margins. So as long as lymph node comes back clean, I would be cancer free! Remember only 20% chance of the lymph node being malignant. They send me home same day with healing instructions and tell me results will be in in 7-10 days. I’ve heard this before. Anxiety is in high overdrive. My family and friends took amazing care of me. But in the midst of this I told the boyfriend to take a hike. Zero empathy and he couldnt understand my fuss. It was only a toe. Not even a whole toe. It wasn’t like it was a boob or a lung. I’m sorry
. you’re out of my circle now. Piss off.
1 week later: Still no results. Tic tock. All I can think of is just getting back to work and I did. I work from home so was able to do some work and elevate.
About 12 days post op: Guess who is in the 20%???? Of course I am. Worst news I could have gotten. I now have stage 3 melanoma. Stage 3. Are you kidding me? You have to be. Now what? Time to have a PET scan of my entire body to see if it has spread anywhere. This would place me at stage 4. Thank goodness, it had not spread. I remain stage 3, but now I have to face a year of immunotherapy treatment with CT scans, skin checks, MRIs, ultrasounds and a slew of other tests every 3 months or so.
November 28 First meeting with medical oncologist. He details the plan of action to do everything we can to make sure the beast stays away. Melanoma is really sneaky and can just show up anytime anywhere. Sigh. A lifetime of anxiety. There is no cure. We set up the treatment plan.
December 5,2018 Treatment day. Lab work first to see if my body can handle it. Meet with oncologist again. Then head to the infusion room. Walk in and there are a ton of cancer patients in their chairs hooked up to IVs. Not gonna lie. It was scary and I couldn’t believe I was there. They begin the infusion after mixing the medicine. They have to wait for doc approval for this as they bill my insurance company $115,000 a month for this drug. Yes, the comma is in the right place. Infusion begins. And ends just as fast. Only about 30 min. And they send me home. Almost instantly, my entire body is hot and so itchy. A normal side effect. Any type of “itis” is. I’ll take that over chemo though. The itch continued for 2 months. My first 2 treatments.
Wash rinse repeat. I just completed my 6th of 12 treatments. I’ve had some scans and skin checks in between. So far
. I am FREE of cancer. We call this NED. No evidence of disease. And we celebrate this.
A few things I have learned: Not all melanoma comes from the sun, but most does. Mine didn’t. I am now susceptible to any and all skin cancers as well as having an increased risk of developing other types. I must be diligent with protecting myself from the sun. When in doubt, get it checked. Schedule yearly dermatology appointments. ADVOCATE for yourself for fast treatment and diagnosis. You are never too busy to take care of your health. In times of crisis you really learn who your true circle of people are. Mine is huge and I am truly blessed.
I am so thankful for the care I have received and continue to receive from everyone at Fox Chase Cancer Center. They literally have saved my life.
I still struggle with anxiety and depression and some pain and swelling. But I’m managing it by staying informed and positive and laughing at things. That’s how I deal. Gotta laugh. My side effects haven’t been horrible from treatment. I hope that my story can help at least one person to get help if needed. Early detection is KEY to surviving melanoma.
I am a melanoma warrior. A survivor. And I plan on keeping it that way.
GET CHECKED PEOPLE!!!
Doggy Guest #30 Diego and more I haven't written in a while. I have had some repeat doggy clients so I wanted to wait for a new one to write about.

Everything you need to understand applying fast
Everything you need to understand applying fast
With each moving year, the faculty admission course of action gets a little bit more complicated. Institutions adjust the laws, add brand new rules, or possibly completely disregard the rules.
And even admissions office buildings don’t usually send out pr announcements when they modification direction or even slightly variation a perform that’s been in place for decades.
Some people expect individuals and those who else advise it to keep up-to-date on several thousand different combinations and Ă©change of deadlines, test credit report scoring requirements, report generation do’s and also don’ts, and the most bothersome coming from all, fast admission insurance policies.
At last count, there are at the most basic steps different ways a student might apply and be admitted to varsity early. Plus schools use these policies to accomplish a number of objectives nearly all of which line-up well along with enrollment current administration goals nevertheless don’t actually support audio decision-making on the part of the candidate.
Schools the fact that fill almost 50 percent of these classes early on or those which show a definite bias to early job seekers are exerting incredible strain on high school students who are generating some of the most vital decisions in their lives.
As well as some high school elderly people are more supplied to make those decisions compared with others. However the system does not care if ever the applicant possesses lingering worries or changing thoughts by what to study and much personal debt to expose oneself to. It just moves on.
In fact , the training doesn’t appear to care an excess of if a family members can’t have the funds for certain possibilities or hasn’t had a chance to study what it takes to be based into a pills contract. It asks for photographer to ‘trust’ that their requirements and concerns will be attended to. It will just about all work out, and everybody will be happy.
But judging from large rates of transfer, unsettling tales for debt as well as increased desire for on-campus psychiatric services, this won’t always seems to be the case.
Earnings season, families are forced by the tangle of fast admission cover to make difficult choices. Plants balance tickets strategies utilizing financial issues and the certainty of colleges more concerned about strengthening yield and also moving up around the US Information ranking rather than allowing trainees the freedom to build well-considered judgments.
There’s a spat that these judgements have to be built some time. Given that it helps a university meet ambitions and achieve stability within enrollment in addition to finances, why don’t you enjoy move deadlines up six months time?
And so we have. With each year, the process is run through subtle deadline creep while early plans mutate or change together with colleges put in pressure together with offers for superior homes or confined scholarships.
As you may grapple with the competing difficulties of making a reasoned option and becoming into the early on trap, let us discuss the eight ways to be early:
Early Judgement I
Fast Decision I(ED I) is usually a binding responsibility on the part of the very applicant to wait a particular school if confessed. This means that should you get in, you have got to enroll except when the college will never meet your own personal financial preferences. And if you don’t need check the small box showing you need school loans, your sole condition meant for breaking the main contract may perhaps be nullified. This is not an option for any faint about heart. That represents some contractual desire with possibly serious a fallout if destroyed.
You should consider basically applying IMPOTENCE I when you are 100 percent, absolutely certain that the school represents a very good fit meant for you— academically, socially, and also financially. Working with ED I just to boost chance of admission can be described as tricky idea. While is it doesn’t ultimate exhibition of interest, ED I will certainly not usually push a ‘reach’ candidacy excessive. In other words, if you are credentials happen to be far out regarding line considering the norm, it can highly less likely that implementing ED This in detail make too much of a difference and you simply might compel an early disbelief . On the other http://www.letusdothehomework.com/ hand, if your credentials are in or on top of stated averages, your sharp statement sufficient to draw a crowd of women and would like to attend could make a difference.
In addition to being committed along with being well- or really well-qualified, you must be tidy and prepared to meet early deadlines usually getting into on December 1 . And you ought to be on top of your online game grade clever by the end about junior time, as people are the scars most likely to be regarded as for ED (although a few colleges with ED My partner and i policies are actually asking for 1st quarter grades). Note that you can apply underneath however lots of qualifying Early Action (EA) and Regular Decision (RD) plans as you see fit. BUT , you must withdraw all those other computer software once you be given an offer for admission, often before the stop of December.
Examples of schools that offer mainly ED I just this year (2014-15)include Amherst, Brown lightly, Carnegie Mellon, College belonging to the Holy Combination, Duke, Flagler, Johns Hopkins, Northwestern, Penn, Rochester, Syracuse, Williams, and even Washington College or university in E. Louis.
Premature Decision 2
Early Selection II (ED II) is often a relatively recent ’boutique’ addition to your early admission game. It is gaining around popularity seeing that colleges notice this plan so as to scoop upward disappointed fast applicants or simply students just who genuinely wasn’t able to make a presenting commitment in conclusion of Oct. The latter group could be students who began late, was uncertain in relation to options, altered their minds, or simply those who like to show vestibule folks solid grades along with other accomplishments fast in more mature year and wish a little time for you to earn these people.
Not surprisingly, ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION II seems to have all the polices of IMPOTENCE I— it’s a presenting commitment and once you will absolutely in, you will need to attend. But the deadlines are typically such that it again avoids most of the other entanglements of Quick Action using strings affixed (restricted and single-choice). And this typically becomes applicants selection early in the way thereby reducing months of tension and anxiety.
While IMPOTENCE PROBLEMS II can show has proven interest, this as solid a signal while ED I. Again, students should not make mistake connected with believing ERECTION DYSFUNCTION II can make up for an increasing that suggests the school is known as a ‘reach. ‘
For some candidates, ED II changes the particular stakes by giving an application alternate choice in cases where the coed has been refused or deferred in an EDWARD I or simply a restricted beginning action practice. Some see it as a way to counter-top disappointment and may even increase probability of admission to a close subsequent choice university which may be basically as desirable as the initially.
Examples of organisations that offer MALE IMPOTENCE II include Allegheny University, American, Bowdoin, Brandeis, Bucknell, Carleton, Claremont McKenna, Colgate, Gettysburg, Harvey Mudd, Lured, Emory, NYU, Lafayette, Macalester, Pomona, Street. Mary’s Faculty of Baltimore, Tufts, Partnership College, Vassar, and Richmond.
  Premature Action As i
Under Fast Action I (EA I), a student delivers sometime among October twelve and 12 1, together with receives any nonbinding admission decision by the mid of 12 or simply because late seeing that by the end involving January. If perhaps admitted, the coed has no obligation to attend— only to advise the college of the decision by just May 1 .
EA I just plans are great for getting an early read on your application and are most appropriate for students who definitely are organized a sufficient amount of to complete virtually all application specifications by deadlines, have taken vital tests, and have absolutely solid freshman year degrees. If your pas have been slowly improving along with your https://letusdothehomework.com/do-my-math-homework/ application can benefit by including very first semester achievements, you may want to take into account EA II or Common Decision.
Having EA I demonstrates quite a few interest. Generally, colleges know that EA promise are not up to ED, and once available, IMPOTENCE is a bigger indication interesting. These days, quite few colleges and universities just offer you EA I. Most have visited to more of a menu strategy and allow trainees to choose from alot of options.
Types of colleges merely offering PROGRAM I include things like Butler, California Tech, Chapman, DePaul, Eckerd, Emerson, Fordham, Gonzaga, Guilford, Hope, DURCH, Monmouth, Oglethorpe, Providence, Salve Regina, Southwestern University, plus Villanova.
Earlier Action II
First aunty to PROGRAM I, Quick Action II (EA II)offers all the same features of an early study, but enables students to take a little extra time visiting educational institutions, developing college or university lists, implementing applications, along with improving credentials— scores, grades, resume. Deadlines can run from since November eighteen all the way as much as end connected with February. Just like EA I actually, EA II is a nonbinding commitment along with students get until Could 1 to generate final decisions and pay off deposits.
Samples of college delivering EA 2 include Augsburg, Austin University, College of St. Benedict, Drexel, Green Mountain University or college, Hendrix, Hofstra, Knox, Port st lucie. John’s University or college (MD and NM), Notre Dame connected with Maryland,
ents. You may also want to think about whether an extra semester might be beneficial to the application for regardless of what reason— heighten grades, acquire an extra WORK or HID, add to your resume. Don’t dash off to if it’s never going to the actual case you’re making to get admission.

Two things involving words that I have not done for a while: I haven’t written a blog and I certainly have not sent off any Christmas cards. So here I sit on a Friday night, deciding to kill two birds with one stone.
Looking back at this last year, I must say it is a vast improvement on some of the recent previous. We lost Mum in 2016, and it took a while to get used to not having her wonderful presence around. Last year I wrote my longest self-published book ‘Auckland to Orkney’ after spending weeks roaming Scotland. I figured I’ll have a go at jotting down the significant events of this year, which (unbelievably) is nearly over.
February: The week long camping trip up at Kai Iwi lakes. This is a wonderful summer tenting holiday–usually–and although my sis and I got a few days of swimming in the clear fresh water and reading, the winds began to howl around us, and the rain threatened, so we packed up and went North instead. Visited a few places I haven’t been in a while and stayed in motels or B&Bs.
April saw the weather more settled and a small but heartwarming gathering of our small church to see the sun rise for Easter morning.
May and June: Helen (sis) and I headed off for six weeks to the UK. We hung out for a few days with our dear friends in Bournemouth visiting some of the local sites.
We flew from London to Tirana, Albania, to meet up with some folk from small house church gatherings along with other women from the UK, USA and the Netherlands. It was glorious.
Then we went to Paris for a couple of days, hanging out at Montmartre.
We took the fast train to the south of France, and stayed in St. Remy, Provence, going out each day to visit various of the many quaint picturesque spots nearby. Every day was full of glory, from a clear green river that poured out of a mountainside, to the Van Gogh sanitarium where he spent many years, to the Roman ruins just outside St Remy. Two weeks of enjoying Provence- and we even found an early field of lavender.
We flew direct from Marseilles to Dublin, where Helen experience Ireland for the first time, and I saw how much it had changed since I saw it thirty years ago. Our trip to Ireland finished with a trip out to County Wicklow.
July, and we were well and truly back in wintery Auckland, both of us at new jobs. Mine was as a PhD Administrator for the School of Engineering, Computer & Maths Sciences at AUT University. I am working three days a week there, but it is busy, and the other two days are spent even busier at home. I had found out the day before we left to go to the UK that my first fiction book – An Unexpected Highlander – was accepted by a publisher, and so I came home and began my second historical romantic fiction (of course!). Somewhat surprisingly, my strongest supporters turned out to be a group of engineering tutors and supervisors who I got to know going up to level 6 to make my coffee in the morning. I became known as ‘Enid’ in honour of Enid Blyton. And so the long winter months progressed:
By September, I completed the final edits on my new book, and in October it was published and for sale through Boroughs Publishing Group (LA) or Amazon. Needless to say, I was and still am, excited and thrilled.
Also this month, I received an intriguing request from someone I didn’t know. Initially I ignored it until the person identified themselves as a child who I had taught back in 1980, in my third year teaching. They had organised a meet up at a local pub, and to my delight and surprise, a small group of ex-pupils from Edendale Primary School were there, and one of the teachers I had taught with. A happy reunion indeed!
Mid-October I flew to Brisbane, and was picked up by a fellow Outlander fan and her husband, and stayed the night with them before Amanda drove us on a lengthy day-long journey down to Glen Innes in NSW for a ‘Through the Stones’ Outlander Gathering. Here I met up with a wonderful boisterous bunch of mainly women from the ANZOFs group (Australian and New Zealand Outlander Fans), and we spent three days delighting in all things Scottish and Outlander, even meeting David Berry, who plays Lord John in the show.
In November, I sent my second novel to the publisher and am currently awaiting the response. I am halfway through my teen novel about a boy who is transformed by a magical pearl and can breathe underwater.
It is now December. Endless functions rounding up the year have happened at work. I have taken to cycling the three days I work in town, to try and improve my exercise – if the weather is not too bad. Have even managed to cycle a couple of times with my older brother and younger sister, which was great. We are all looking forward to summer, which has only hinted at being here. Christmas is a couple of weeks away, and then the true holidays begin.
I hope you who are reading this, have a peaceful, festive, fun season, and can face 2019 with hope and cheerful anticipation, as I am.
2018 was a good year Two things involving words that I have not done for a while: I haven't written a blog and I certainly have not sent off any Christmas cards.
