How old is your baby?: 5 in my post canon alternate universe (7-8 years after Borderlands 3)

Tell us about your baby!: She's the testtube biological baby of Sir Hammerlock & Wainwright Jakobs (which basically means she could aim and shoot a pistol at the age of 4) and has 4 siblings (one of which is also an oc, but is an adoptive kid, and the rest are canon characters who got adopted). She has a big plushie collection (some knitted or sewn by Wainwright, some crocheted by Hammerlock, some being gifts from extended family or the Crimson raiders) and also fucked up eldritch powers beyond human comprehension bc her parents are abominations from beyond the veil (my Borderlands rewrite AU is a mess haha) which she primarily uses to teleport all over the house, causing an understandable amount of problems. Clay is her weird uncle and she loves him. She's kinda based off Wednesday Addams because autism. Also she is autistic, the nicest weirdgirl on Eden-6, swears an unusual amount for a 5 year old (being around Wainwright del Frisco Jakobs-Hammerlock will do that to you) and often swaps between her Edenian (space southern) and her Hermesian (space british) accents bc yknow. Just listen to her dads speak and you'll see.

Anything else you want to add?: (1) Most people call her Reb for short but Wainwright calls her Rebby because yes. (2) She eventually grows to inherit the Jakobs corporation and generally sorta girlbossify but that's extreme future timeskip stuff I don't talk abt often because I feel cringe about it. (3) Her name continues on the general theme of Jakobs related things having biblical symbolism - Rebekah is Jacob's mother in the book of Genesis (if i remember correctly). (3) Her voiceclaim is Lili Zanotto from Psychonauts :D (4) She calls Hammerlock "Papa" and Wainwright "Daddy"

sawyer hale is a kid who had a pretty hard knock life in a cyberpunk dystopia city. after deciding his dad kinda sucked, sawyer ran away and emancipated himself at 16 and moved into a different, nicer city and became a hermit for a while. afterwards, he proceeded to save the world twice; once he saved a cyberworld from the big bad capitalists and second he saved the universe from collapsing via terrible creature. as he goes through these adventures he learns how to be comfortable and happy with himself again.

also he destroyed his dad when he possessed a robot body. go kid!!

sawyer super loves tech but he gave it up for a while because Shitty Dad Ruining It For Him, but he eventually finds his passion again and makes phenomenal inventions. also he is the embodiment of Baby because all the adults around him want to scoop him up and carry him around for being a little issues boy with issues. they love singing and the arts in general, and they're very open-minded, which makes them a pretty good friend.

oh yeah all his adventures kinda messed up his biology so he's partially made of code now. and also has wings made of code. he can design them however he wants like retexturing game assets. YIPPIE!

Pretty sure I haven't posted this here so! Here's Wainwright and Rebekah's true eldritch forms (from my rewrite au JFV).

Wainwright is pretty much Gythian's original body but smaller and with a longer "tentacle beard" (mouthparts). Rebekah is still very young but you can notice how she's similar to her dad, but with a more "humanoid", upright form due to being a half-human hybrid.

Alistair is just there for scale w/ his husband and daughter.

Not really into the whole thing. They're more "visiting graves for All Damned Day" (All Saints Day but borderlands) sort of guys

They would do a silly couples costume occasionally tho. For funny hahas

Occasionally, disappear mysteriously soon after helping their kids set/dress up or whatever it is they want to do. Hmm, I wonder why

Angel

Does some weird occult ritual ghost summoning shit

Definitely has an ouija board which she tries to use to talk to the Many people who have died in the manor

It doesn't work most of the time

Not one for parties, but will still dress up. Goth dresses are easily repurposed for costumes

Troy

Bloody Harvest? More like prime "DON'T PLAY MINECRAFT AT 3AM!!!!" season

Alternatively, playing horror games (five nights at freddy) on stream. And probably unironically getting scared by a few of them

Knows a bunch of creepy bandit stories and will not hesitate to tell them

Has the goofiest but also the highest effort costume

Hansuke

The guy who ACTUALLY sees ghosts

Also a "visiting graves" guy but out of fear and respect than anything

Helps Gaige with her more... paranormal videos because Troy and her clickbait F tier memes can take a fat L (silly)

Costume, if any, is probably cosplay of a fictional character he likes

Lazarus

Trick or treater ultimate despite being "too old for it"

Takes the trick part SERIOUSLY. If you do not give zir candy you can expect anything from getting egged to fucking flashbanged

Gets sugar sick very fast, but is also a master at hiding and preserving the candies properly, so if zir manages to get enough the supplies can last all the way until spring

Costume is probably another Vault Hunter. Sniper Dad initially did not approve of zir making an elaborate Aurelia costume but was bribed with puppy dog eyes. Many such cases

Rebekah

Depends on the year

Sometimes, it's trick or treating with Laz. Sometimes Angel tries to teach her impressionable young mind how to talk to dead people. Sometimes she just sleeps right through it

Costume varies but is always the cutest shit you've ever seen, without fail

Hammerwright

Walks amalgamated around the manor, stalking and whispering, just doing a little bit of trolling (as its components are known to do)

It's Bloody Harvest, people expect weird scary shit to happen, so why not be weird and scary. It doesn't get many safe-ish opportunities to Exist anyways

The manorguests are always confused by this. He gets a great many laughs out of their conflicting reports of what or who they saw

Occasionally has discussions with ghosts, which always end with ol' Monty's hecktoplasm getting spilled on the floor (either by them, or by the other family members)

^ this is rebby (and one of her dads holding her triumphantly!) she's my scrinkly double tap, the heiress to the Jakobs corporation, eldritch spawn, a lil' sweet girl,

and also the biological test tube baby of Sir Hammerlock and Wainwright Jakobs, the canonically married gay old men of Borderlands (epic lgbt win below)

do not be fooled by the fact she was made thru Science and not... conventional methods. she is grown organically on the planet of Eden-6 in a nice cushy environment with lots of water (it's a swamp.) and fun things and love.

some funfacts:

she has 4 siblings: 3 are preexisting canon characters (long story. au story to be specific) and 1 is another oc, Lazarus. however Laz is adopted and so, unfortunately not homegrown, and as such I could not submit zir. also by the time of jfv (my silly post canon thingy) she is 5, and since that's 8 years after bl3, that means she was technically born this year! (well, if you take the bl1-bl2 sequel gap being also the canon gap into account, etc etc.) (also look. i made them in the sims as you can see below, reb is on the far left)

she can teleport and does so quite a bit. when one of ur dads is an eldritch horror from beyond the veil and the other is a warlock those things tend to happen. she'd be a nightmare to keep in one place if she didn't have 2 supernaturally nullifying siblings, generally very Aware family members and an overally calm and toned down personality (eldritch fambily momence below)

and by calm personality I mean autism. (big autistic eyes shown below)

she has an overly large plushie collection. most are hand-sewn, crocheted or knitted by her dads or Laz, but sometimes other folk will give them as presents to her

her voiceclaim is Lili Zanotto from Psychonauts but like. Southern. but she sometimes lapses into a Hermesian (bri'ish Recieved Pronunciation) accent

her wine aunt Aurelia is one of those double income lesbian aunts that come to unleash the gift reckoning on Mercenary Day. her uncle Clay is. a bit silly (as you can see below) but Wainwright trusts him enough to leave her in his care sometimes

when she grows up she girlbossifies quite a bit. but that's not relevant here.
