Deirdre Wood + the Westley-Weasleys

Darwin and Deirdre walked into Darwin’s living room to be met with garish, gaudy decorations scattered around the room.

“What the-“ Darwin gaped

“I mean…” Deirdre started, “I knew your family had Christmas spirit but this is ridiculous. Worse than mine. And Carrigan was in charge of decorations” she crossed her arms and groaned as Poesy came into the room.

“Like the decorations? Dad and I put em up! Aren’t they marvelous?!”

“They’re..something…” Darwin elbowed Deirdre and she scowled at him, before forcing a smile on her face.

“Great. Charming” her smile dropped.

At that moment, Bennett came home from work.

“Afternoon-“ she looked around, pausing, “Well, someone had some fun…” she turned to Poesy, “You and your da do this?” Poesy nodded enthusiastically and Bennett smiled.

“Gorgeous.”

George Weasley came bounding into the room, stopping to kiss his son on the head and ruffle Deirdre’s hair before swooping Bennett up in an embrace and kissing her.

“Afternoon my darling.” He grinned down at her.

“Afternoon, love” Bennett cupped his face, and the two pressed their foreheads against each other’s.

Darwin turned to Deirdre, “wanna go to honey dukes?” Deirdre nodded.

“Can I come?!” Poesy asked.

Darwin ignored Deirdre’s glare as he nodded.

“Great!” Poesy reached for Deirdre’s hand and the girl snatched it away. Darwin sighed and took his sister’s hand.

“Come along,”

 hello !! some friends & i have created a harry potter mumu, and we’re looking for a few more more members! we’re going to be roleplaying in all of the verses (canon & au)! if you’re looking for a no-pressure group where people can just play all the characters they’ve wanted to including their original characters, then here we are !! we are looking to keep this rather small player-wise, so we’re looking to add somewhere between 3-7 people. you can play one character or a hundred, it’s entirely up to you ! we’re just looking for players who want to have fun roleplaying !

okay so let’s get down to business:

this group is very chill lowkey. we aren’t going to have activity checks or anything like that, but we do ask if you’re not interested anymore to let us know so we can check around to see if anyone might wanna pick up a canon you could be leaving.

we would prefer players to be 16+ because of potentially mature plots. some plots that we do not want to see on the dash are incest, racism, pedophilia, homophobia/transphobia, or anything involving graphic sexual abuse.

we would like you to have access to discord. once we have our new members, we’re going to make a discord chat that we can all chat in! we aren’t going to make it mandatory, but we highly, highly recommend having it. our goal is to make this a long-lasting mumu & we feel we need a great deal of communication to make that happen.

this is first come, first serve so if someone gets their form in before you for the character, they’ll get them! same goes for the faceclaim(s).

on the topic of faceclaims, we aren’t super picky about them, but we ask that you not choose any faceclaims that are largely considered problematic, deceased, or underage. additionally, we do ask that you refrain from repeating faceclaims in the same generation. we’d prefer if all the faceclaims weren’t repeated, but if you absolutely need to play max irons in the next generation era, we likely won’t say no! if you don’t really wanna use a faceclaim, but would rather just write, that’s okay too! on a similar note, we also are okay with you choosing more than one faceclaim for different periods in their life; for instance, andromeda has kaya scodelario for her hogwarts years, melanie scrofano for her younger adult years, and michelle fairley for her older adult years.

we don’t care if you use gifs, icons, or nothing at all. if you use gifs or icons, we don’t care what size they are. use whatever you want (but please make sure people can actually see them. 50x50 is not accessible!).

we don’t care if you format your posts or don’t, but again, please try to make sure it’s accessible. using <sub> and <small> is very difficult to read.

we are completely welcoming of original characters! we would absolutely love to see them!

you can play as many characters as you want! as you can see from the taken list below (we’re sorry!), we couldn’t really stop ourselves.

this mumu is not following a specific plotline in any of the verses. you can follow canon, do an au, write the characters at any point in their life, whatever you want! our goal is just to write the characters we love! if you want to write out exactly what happens in canon, go for it! if you want to write about james and sirius taking their bromance to narnia, go for it! 

our only two real rules here are: tag your triggers & be polite!!

Much like her uncle Fred, Poesy is mischievous and often ends up in some kind of trouble. She has an affinity for portable swamps and has flooded her basement more times than her parents can count. She’s got way too much energy and can come off as annoying to some (especially Deirdre). She’s colorful and loud and happy and a huge prankster. She’s also wicked smart and is always coming up with new ideas to test. She’ll often make things for her brother to test out when he wants to explore the Great Lake. Can have a sarcastic streak.

Poesy sat over her cauldron in the common room, pouring various ingredients in until it turned a neon orange color.

“Deirdre! Just the woman I wanted to see!” She called joyously as Deirdre started to descend the stairs.

The girl stopped for a moment, almost regretting leaving her room.

“I need something really quick of you! It’ll only take a moment!” Poesy grinned and beckoned the other girl down. Deirdre approached her cautiously, ah unamused expression slipping onto her face.

“What.”

“I just need a strand of your hair-“

“Absolutely not-“

“It won’t work with mine!”

“No-“

“Please-“

“No”

“Deirdre-“

“No-“

“I won’t ask anything of you for a week”

“A month-“

“Two weeks-“

“A. Month.”

“Three weeks-“

“Fine.” Deirdre pulled out a strand and handed it to the girl.

“Excellent” Poesy added the hair in and the solution started to sizzle before shooting out to hit Deirdre in the face.

Deirdre stormed through the halls, face pink and orange, dragging Poesy by her robes. The beginnings of a bruise was starting to form around Poesy’s eye and her nose was bleeding.

“What the hell was that supposed to accomplish”

“Not what happened! Slow down!” Poesy answered, holding her bleeding nose and trying not to trip.

“Was it supposed to burn my face”

“No! Although your face may be stained orange for the next few days-don’t hit me!” She recoiled as Deirdre raised her fist again.

Bennett Westley’s eye’s widened as Deirdre and Poesy cane stumbling in, her daughter nearly colliding with one of the beds as the other girl pushed her in.

“Poesy!” She rushed to Poesy and held her face in her hands, checking over her wounds, before moving to Deirdre.

“Oh dear. What happened?”

“Ask your daughter” the tall teenager gritted out, “my face burns.”

As soon as Bennett had cleaned Deirdre up and applied some burn salve, she stepped back, “Well, just keep applying this salve for the next few days. Good thing you came when you did, it’ll treat as if it were nothing worse than a medium sunburn. Now, you’re free to rest here or-“ Deirdre took the salve with a short thanks and stormed out.

Bennett sighed, and sat down next to Poesy, who had been fixed up by Bennett’s assistant, Nixie.

She tucked her daughter’s hair behind her ear, before pulling her into her arms and kissing her head.

“How are you?”

“I don’t have any more of that potion left, I’m going to have to start from scratch-“

“Poesy.”

“I deserved it.”

“What were you even making?”

“It was supposed to be a candy that turned you orange...oh no...”

“How long will it last?”

“A few days...”

“Oh dear...”

“Maybe I shouldn’t have used Deirdre for the organic matter”

Bennett nodded, and patted her shoulder, “how about I make you some tea, Alright?”

“Alright”

Deirdre Wood sighed as she walked into the detention room. It was with Mr. Potter today.

“Good evening, Deirdre”

She slumped into her chair and kicked her feet up, crossing her arms.

Poesy Weasley burst in, panting, “Sorry I’m late, uncle Harry!”

“On time, Miss Weasley, as usual. And how many times have I got to tell you? It’s Mr. Potter here”

“Sure, uncle Harry” the girl gave him a wicked grin before sitting next to Deirdre.

Deirdre leaned away a little as the other girl invaded her space.

“What did you do-“

“Girls. Now. You’ve got to clean the room-“

“Easy-“ Poesy barely lifted her wand before both her and Deirdre’s wands flew to Professor Potter’s hand.

“Wandless”

“This just gives me an excuse to learn wandless magic, uncle Harry-“

“If you set off a portable swamp again you’re cleaning it up.”

“You’re no fun”

Deirdre kicked her desk lightly, “shut it. Let’s get it over with”

“Fine, follow his rules”

Deirdre closed her eyes and counted to ten, squashing her desire to punch the other girl, before opening them.

“I’ll be in my office if you need me. Come in when you’ve finished and you’re free to go.”

Deirdre pushed herself up, and away from her desk and Poesy. She grabbed a rag and cleaning potion, before starting in the corner, slowly making her way across. When she turned again, she saw Poesy hanging from the chandelier.

“Help?”

Deirdre thought for a moment, before going back to cleaning.

“Deirdre?!”

Deirdre turned her back and started to clean the blackboard.

“UNCLE HARRY IM STUCK”

Harry came running out to see Deirdre cleaning the board while Poesy was swinging from the chandelier by her foot. He sighed, and helped her get down, before looking at Deirdre. The girl finished the blackboard and turned around.

Harry placed his hands on his hips and raised a brow. Deirdre showed no expression.

“What?”

💖🍒⭐️ for Poesy?

Has your OC ever been in love, be it romantic or platonic or otherwise? Who with and did they ever express their feelings or keep it private? How long did these feelings persist / do they still feel this way?

Yes, she has(more infatuation or strong fondness she’s not fully sure). It was with Deirdre and Poesy didn’t say it outright but Deirdre eventually found out but let’s just say it was never going to be reciprocated. They persisted until she graduated, and then her beer friend Octavia admitted she had feelings for her and she did not know how to react to that.

What kind of things do they expect from their relationships? Does this differ between platonic relationships and romantic ones? Is your OC “demanding” or a door mat? What kinds of things do people expect from them in a relationship?

Poesy loves attention. She needs attention and people to go along with her schemes. She is attracted to those who tend to calm her down/have the opposite energy. She’s a tad demanding.

What is your OC afraid of? Any crippling phobias or some such? How do they act when scared and what helps them calm down? Does anyone ever find your OC scary? Why?

Poesy does not like slugs they wig her out. Besides that she really is fearless and doesn’t scare easily. If she’s got too much energy she calms herself down by a) blowing something up, b) setting off a portable swamp, or c) she will eat something Octavia made her. She’s scared a few younger years because the girl can give a creepy smile sometimes.

Darwin’s eyebrows raised as he saw Poesy accompany Deirdre to their spot by the lake.

“You look surprised, dear brother.” Poesy grinned, leaning against the tree.

Darwin turned to Deirdre, raising a singular brow, she shrugged.

Darwin turned back to the lake, “do you reckon we’ll encounter the giant squid today?”

“He hasn’t shown all this week...” Deirdre trailed off.

“Maybe he’s sick, you know just chilling underwater. Or maybe he’s sick of you-“ Poesy cackled as Darwin shoved her lightly.

“No. Aunt Maisie would tell me if he was sick, maybe-“

Amelia and Finlay stumbled through the bushes, grinning.

“What’s going on?” Darwin asked, slowly. Amelia’s grin widened and she nodded to Poesy and Deirdre.

“These two had a brilliant idea”

“A brilliant idea?”

Deirdre brought out her broom, and Poesy pulled out a pack of fireworks.

“Are those dad’s?!”

“Wait! Wait!” Einin Wood stumbled through the brush, “don’t start without me!”

“We’ve just got here ourselves, Einin. Didn’t miss anything” Finlay said softly to her, smiling. Einin beamed and skipped over to them, standing close to him, her hand brushing his. Deirdre raised a brow at her, before holding her hand out to Poesy.

Poesy tossed them to her, and Deirdre nodded at Amelia, who had brought out fireworks of her own.

“What are you two-“ Deirdre and Amelia brought out their brooms, Darwin sighed, “youre picking us a new spot” he pointed to Deirdre.

“That’s the spirit, my dear twin!” Poesy slung an arm over his shoulder.

Deirdre and Amelia hopped on their brooms and kicked off into the air, getting higher and higher until they could see over the trees.

“Ready?!” Amelia called, wand held to the firework.

Deirdre nodded, and the two lit the fireworks before throwing them up into the air and landing back on the ground.

She looked to the redhead, who looked at the sky in wonder as the first firework went off.

Deirdre could feel herself start to smile, before she caught Darwin’s eye.

“I expected this from you three, but Deirdre? Darwin? Einin?” Professor Flitwick had scolded them, as he’d caught them flying away from the scene on their brooms.

“What caused you to be so reckless?”

“Haven’t you ever liked fireworks before? My dad did them here all the time” Poesy grinned.

“Different situation.”

Deirdre frowned, knowing her dad would probably give her a lecture if he was written to-if Aunt Bennett or Maisie didn’t tell him first.

“You think Mum will convince da not to lecture us?” Einin asked.

Deirdre shrugged, “dunno.”

“I think she will. She has a way with him” Einin grinned, before turning to talk to Finlay.

As they got out, Deirdre walked with Darwin down the hall. He gave her a knowing look.

“Oi! Wood!” She turned to see Amelia, running down the hallway after them. Deirdre straightened up.

“Aye?”

“Cracking idea back there! Didn’t know you had it in ya!”

“Thanks?”

“Next time you have another fun thing plan, feel free to invite me, Alright?”

“Ok” Amelia smirked and ran back to catch up with Finlay.

Deirdre turned to Darwin, who was grinning at her.

“You’re blushing” she punched him in the arm.

Personality: Flora is loving, easily entertained, easily distracted, in love with food and sleep. She’ll be found hanging with Rooney and Zephyr most of the time and if she’s not with them she’s helping her dad upkeep the greenhouses. She’s a little disorganized and misplaces half of her writing (so often that Rooney has taken it upon herself to just organize Flora’s space every once in a while). She’s very enthusiastic about many things (sometimes too many things) and can tire herself out (hence why she can sleep just about anywhere(her an Einin are known to just be found in the most random parts of the castle, sleeping.
