Today is a very special day of Pride Month Composer Edition! Everybody’s favorite and least favorite pianist, none other than 

Frederic Chopin!

I actually had no idea that Chopin was (probably) bi, so thanks to @official-oboedamore and @towards-tomorrow for informing me! Most historians point to his relationship with George Sand (who was probably transgender, I’m having trouble finding anything substantial one way or another). What I can say is that Chopin was an integral composer of the Romantic Era, and his works have been the bane of pianists ever since. His technique and virtuosity was said to be legendary and his influence is obvious on even contemporary composers.
