Maaaan imagine Lloyd going on his Oni rampage, and everyone is helpless to watch because they know he’s probably in a lot of emotional pain and obviously no one wants to hurt their baby brother/the one person 2/3rds of the ninja were deigned to protect, and then:
Kai: I can’t do it!! We can’t fight him like this!!
Garmadon, from nowhere: *rolls up sleeves* I sure can tho

I'm glad that the ninjago fandom collectively agree that Garmadon should save Lloyd from his oni/evil self in this season

Ik this is like, waaaaaay out there even as speculation but
Assuming this is the "finale" of the main plotline that's been present throughout everything but the series isn't ending, I'm kind of thinking that they might switch perspectives to newer characters, which could be either a really great move, or what will ultimately doom the show.
Bc lets face it, to get into ninjago now and know exactly what's going on, you have to get through a heck ton of seasons and a special or two, and soon it'll be too much of a deterrent for younger fans to get into it and the viewership might go down.
So what do you do? Play a somewhat risky move and introduce new main characters, let the older ones retire a tad (not get rid of them) and start up new plotlines, they could reuse a lot of the same formula from the first seasons and have the characters slowly get to know each other and uncover the world's secrets (bc this thing has a heck ton of lore), go into their own adventures, etc...
Imagine a group of new and inexperienced ninja who grew up seeing the og ninja in action, I think it'd be really cool :D
(Also would love to see the new elemental master of wind or a young serpentine thrown in there, I think that'd be pretty cool hehe ^^)

Oh boy...
Da boys will be fighting over who gets to cuddle Nya first when she inevitably comes back (because come on this is ninjago) won't they?
Who will win?
The jumpy lover?
The sap big bro?
Or the feral lil bro?
As for cuddles…. she’ll make room for all of them (not like she has a choice…. they force themselves onto her lol. But she missed them a lot too so she lets them.)
What I’m really interested in is the reunion hug… (cause if they’re ain’t one I’m quitting ninjago…. /hj)
Let’s just assume Nya does get her normal body back, the guys are gonna wanna touch her again because she’s real and she’s there and I don’t know how long it will have been but probably a while and they miss her so much-
I’m tempted to say a big, warm group hug just because my shattered heart needs the found family so bad, but at the same time…. I really want it to be Kai. You don’t know how badly I want s16 to be a Kai season, and I’m just picturing a long, hard season of him literally trying everything possible to get his sister back, working himself almost to death because nothing matters more than her, only to have everything fail and almost give up, before there’s one last chance and it works, and Kai’s just staring at her in shock, before screaming and throwing himself into her arms, hugging her so tight and never letting go- (please ninjago, I don’t wanna get my hopes up but PLEASE I’m begging you. I think I quite possibly need this or I will die.) And the others are nearby, so after Nya and Kai get there little moment together, then everyone else comes running and hugs her and they’re all happy and everything is fine and good and no one ever leaves again- *sobbing in corner*

Just so we're all on the same page:
This is not the final season of ninjago
This is not the final season with these ninja
This is not the final season with wildbrain
There has been no evidence to suggest any of these things. People have taken the term "soft reboot" and wildly misinterpreted it. That's not what soft reboot implies. Please stop freaking out and making this seem like a possibility. There is no evidence for any of this happening. At this point it's misinformation.

Or alternatively, Nya wakes up on the beach with Lloyd before the ninja get there.
She's still a tad confused, so when she sees Lloyd with burns she goes big sis mode and starts asking him what the hell happened
Lloyd just gives this hella ecstasic smile, tears up and smiles, grabbing Nya's arm with his burned had and says:
"No n-ninja... left... behind..."
THIS. I LIKE THIS.

(This is my last ask for tonight, I'm finally tired enough to sleep, but no, the vengestone buyer was not worked into this.)
So, Lloyd agrees to help him after some consideration. He does have access to the vaults, and it's not like the staff is going to be that missed. He acquires it quickly and they start their journey.
Meanwhile, Kai feels horrible for lashing out at Lloyd, and he feels even worse because now it seems that Lloyd has vanished into thin air; Lloyd had been targeted so much through the Oni saga, and he was getting worried that one of the members of the now dismantled Sons of Garmadon had gotten him.
Or just anyone else, a lot of the people in Kryptarium don't like Lloyd.
Until they get a picture of Lloyd and Pythor from a security camera heading towards the mountain of a million steps.
Wu tells Kai, Jay, Zane and PIXAL to protect the monastery, and that he and Cole are going to go get Lloyd, but Kai insists on coming.
Admittedly, they're both hesitant to let him come, given the fight they had, but Kai says something to the effect of "I already lost one of my siblings. I'm not losing another one." So they agree to let him come along.
At this point, Lloyd and Pythor are nearing the top of the mountain, and Lloyd is catching Pythor up on what happened since DotD (and unintentionally trauma dumping on him about Harumi) when they finally reach the top.
Lloyd turns his back to Pythor, confused about where the tree is, but before he can ask, Pythor had already charged up behind him and stabbed him directly in the left side, pushing the sword in deeper by holding onto Lloyd's shoulder.
Lloyd's obviously angry (and in pain) and yells about how he trusted Pythor, and how he helped him.
Pythor just grins back before saying "oh, Lloyd. You of all people should know never to trust a snake." Before going on a Evil Villain Monologue™ explaining how he needed his staff to use his powers again.
After he finishes, he says something along the effects of "oh look at the time. I'd love to stay and chat, keep catching up, but I need to stop those pesky ninjas."
And with that, he does his little disappearing thing, leaving Lloyd with a sword deep in his side and bleeding out on the highest mountain in Ninjago where no one can find him.
Dude…. why… why does poor Lloyd keep having people betray his trust? (And why does he keep TRUSTING these people? Baby boi I love you but PLEASE have some common sense-) ahhh his big heart is both his biggest strength and his biggest weakness and I love that about him <3
Also, not even surprised he got stabbed. Because of course he did. It’s Lloyd, for crying out loud

Okay so it's my ideas for the next season.
Okay so it starts off as Kai and Jay focus, them getting through grief and shit and bonding while the others are dealing with the vengestone buyer peep. (Maybe Kai says something real nasty to his lil bro too who knows)
And then like towards the middle of the season you can see it in the background that Lloyd's acting weird. He's been stealing the research the others have been doing on how to get Nya back, and seems closed off af. But Kai and Jay who would actually notice don't pay much mind to it, they're too deep in grief and just assume Lloyd's just as desperate as them but didn't find anything.
But then 3 eps before the finale, Lloyd just... Disappears from the monestary. No note, nothing. That's when Kai begins to suspect something, and sure enough, there's so much research shit piled on Lloyd's desk, along with scribbles in his notebook... One of which completely depicts what Lloyd figured would be the solution.
It's to somehow get golden power, or anything remotely close, lure Nya to a shore, shoot her with golden power and recreate her a body. And he decides to try the temple of light as the source for golden power first (spoiler, it works)
So the episode before the last one is the ninja just packing and going as fast as they can there, to kind of stop Lloyd, because there's no guarantee it will work, and there's no guarantee he survives the attempt. But Lloyd's got Kai's determination, and greenie lost way too many people in his life, he draws the line at his big sis.
And uh Lloyd's plan ends up working. Nya returns to normal with all the golden power Lloyd's used, and falls from a couple meters high just as the bounty gets below with everyone on it.
The canon compliant ending is that Lloyd's end up really weak, maybe in comatose state from exterting his powers and shit, the less canon compliant ending is that he also gets a couple of nasty burns due to all the energy transfer he's done.
Oooh, that's really interesting, I like the idea of the season being Kai and Jay focus, but a different ninja being kind of the one to save the day at the end. Normally the season focus has the big end fight, but while that's all well and good, it would be interesting to shake it up sometimes and might throw the audience for a loop which would be really fun.

Lloyd had gone into Ninjago City to clear his head. He takes out the majority of his anger on some bad guys (like robbers) and hands them over to the cops before stopping in a alley to think.
Giving Pythor the perfect chance to sneak up on Lloyd.
At first, Lloyd is ready to beat the crap out of him. After all, he was the reason for The Great Devourer, the whole digital Overlord mess, and the last time they saw each other, he nearly got him killed in the Corridor of Elders.
But before he gets the chance to, Pythor suggests something. He knows that they're down a team member, he knows that Ninjago is still reeling from the devastation Wojira caused (after all, Great Devourer is very similar to Wojira) and he knows that if another attack happens, the ninja wouldn't be at full strength.
So this is a small detail I noticed, but in MotO, all of the Serpentine Staffs are in the Borg vault. Meaning sometime between DotD and MotO, Pythor lost his staff, probably not willingly.
So he suggests that if Lloyd can get him back his staff, he can take him to this tree with these tea leaves that can open the Departed Realm and save Nya (cause the Realm Crystal was destroyed)
On one hand, Lloyd would rather blast himself in the face with his powers then trust Pythor again...but on the other hand, he could be telling the truth.
Ooooo I didn’t see this coming, but INRIGUING….. btw, totally no reason at all I’m asking this, no, no, nothing at all- have you worked the vengestone buyer into this plot at all? 👀

Lloyd falls to the ground instantly, and tries to apply pressure to the wound, which is hard when you have a knife still inside of you, and passes out shortly afterwards.
The Bounty gets to the mountain shortly afterwards, but Pythor is already gone, and Lloyd is bleeding out, sending Wu, Cole and Kai into panic.
Kai tries to go back onto the Bounty as they try to patch him up, feeling like this is his fault and that Lloyd's not going to want to see him after their fight, but Cole gets him to stay with the reasoning of "you came with us to fix things between you two."
They get Lloyd patched up and back onto the Bounty, and while Cole is making camp, Kai's still like "if I never yelled at him, none of this would have happened."
To which Wu responds, "We were all trying to find an answer on how to move on without your sister and Lloyd was already looking for a way to get her back. Pythor would have gotten his staff back with or without him. The most we can do is hope the others can hold him off long enough without us"
🥲 dang canon ninjago would NEVER

At one point, Lloyd tries to talk to Kai, about how he's been going through Wu's scrolls, trying to find a way to bring her back.
And Kai loses it.
Maybe it's because he wants to block it out, or maybe it's because the last time they had to bring someone back from the departed realm (the Anacondri warriors) that ended up being a direct result of both Morro and Evil!Garmadon.
But either way, he and Lloyd get into a really nasty argument, and Kai says something that crosses a line (I'm not really sure what, but probably something that implies that he was Nya's brother and Lloyd isn't)
Cole separates it, but it's too late. Because after he tells Kai to take 5, he turns to comfort Lloyd, only to realize he had run.
Oooh, a bit off topic, but this really reminds me of something I wrote once… as you know, I mostly write ninjago, but I do have one quite lengthy (unfinished) work on FFN.net where two of the characters get into an argument. One is grieving at the death of his mom, his friend is also upset because said character’s mom half-raised her as well, so she saw her as a second mother. The other character is snappish and jealous with grief because he doesn’t have as strong of a support system as she does and he basically yells at her that she doesn’t know what he’s going through because the dead character wasn’t her real mom and they both run off, so yeah, I think it works well and it’s of course a troupe I enjoy very much.

AAAAAAAAA YAAAASSSSSSSSS
I mean I have my own ideas on what they'll do to get Nya back (unfortunately it's not Kai who does it, but hey, at least it looks like it's canon compliant)
Wanna hear it?
(Yeah XD, I honestly have no idea how they’ll do it, all I want is for Kai to be a focus character because goodness knows he needs a season more than anybody and after the events of s15 now is the perfect time to do it)
Yes I would love to hear your ideas :)

Okay so it starts out after Seabound (you probably should tag this) and all of the ninja are just...struggling, understandably so.
So Zane's taking his time to mourn, but knows that they can't mourn forever (he's not telling the team that though), Cole's basically ignoring every topic that could possibly bring up Nya, Jay's obviously very upset and Kai's at a similar point we saw him in when Tournament of Elements started.
Blaming himself and ready to give up on being a ninja.
Lloyd's way of trying to cope, however, is a mix of denial that she's really gone and determination to get her back. (I'm not sure how Wu would handle it, but that's not the most important thing rn)
I agree! My take on it is pretty similar, I think maybe Cole might just not talk a lot in general and would wall himself off from most of the team except Jay (cause he still hasn’t lost that urge that he has to be there for him) and I’m still undecided on exactly how Lloyd’s gonna cope, but like you, I was leaning towards denial (but maybe our discussion will help me decide, as I do gotta make up my mind for the fic I’m planning :D)
