Well....It’s finally here! The end of the semester—-We started at the end of August! I am so happy, exhausted and always filled with a combo of feeling self-doubt and personal accomplishment. Teaching is soooo challenging, rewarding and just plain hard (That is if you care about helping people learn and if you sincerely care about what you do. Oh and if you don’t care about being a millionaire either! 🤪) Here is a snippet from a student’s paper in my Critical Thinking class, “It sucks that I have to live in a world that is so sensitive. A world that gets offended by the smallest things, by the smallest words.” Let me add that “It sucks that I have to live in a world where our right to free speech and freedom of expression is continually being threatened....It is being threatened along with our so-called Democracy.” A million times YES! to free speech and the freedom to explore and discuss our ideas to the maximum and beyond in our classrooms!!!
