Reveal because Noctis and Phe both have an allergy to this one very specific, weirdly uncommon thing. In fact, most LC have this allergy.
His best friend isn’t always smiling or anything, but it’s still weird to walk into class and see him scowling down at a sheet of paper. Phe is the most laidback guy Noctis knows - though maybe that isn’t hard, when his competition is Gladio and Iggy who are intense on a good day - and to see him visibly frustrated rather than just shrugging it off because things happen has him pausing for a heartbeat.
Then, because this is his best friend, Noct slips into the seat beside him with a nudge of their shoulders and a: “You alright?”
“I lost my medic alert tag.”
He blinks. “Your what?” He asks stupidly, even though he knows what a medic alert tag is. Why did Phe need a medic alert tag? Why didn’t he know? Fuck he’s a bad friend what if Phe had had an accident or there had been an emergency and-
“It’s my own fault; I probably should have checked the bracelet before I went swimming in that lake with Aunt Lena but I forgot and it broke. Now I have to get a new one.”
“Makes sense,” Noct says slowly, glancing between Phe and the sheet of paper in front of him. “Is the form complicated or something?” His own tags are Citadel issued, after all, and have been for as long as he can remember. He has no idea how other people even get them.
“Nah, the thing I’m allergic to is just- complicated as anything to spell and it doesn’t even look like a real word. look at this thing, Noct!”
A piece of paper is shoved under his nose.
Noct bites back the urge to sneeze, the edge tickling at his skin, and grabs it to pull it away from his face and-
He freezes.
“Are you sure that’s what you’re allergic to?” The words taste like mud on his tongue as he stares at the complicated string of letters printed carefully on the page.
The very familiar string of letters.
Phe rolls his eyes, a grin flashing across his lips. “I know, right! It doesn’t even sound like a real thing, but apparently it’s a sedative of some kind? My dad’s allergic real bad to it so they tested me when I was a baby and ta-da!”
Huh, he thinks.
“Meds always have annoying names like that,” he says, still staring at the string of letters on the page.
If he pulled his own alert tag out from underneath his shirt, he’d see the same word, etched into the metal. It’s not that weird. It can’t be. Loads of people share allergies.
It doesn’t mean anything.
Just- Noct remembers his doctors talking about how rare being allergic to this specific medication is. So rare there’s not even any numbers on it.
He’s never even heard of anyone being allergic to it outside him and his dad, and even with them the doctors don’t think it’s a true allergy. More… their magic reacting badly to it.
“Noct?”
What are the odds of Phe and his father both being allergic to that one specific medication?
“Noct, you alright?”
A hand lands on his arm.
He blinks.
Phe stares at him, a frown on his lips, blue eyes dark with concern and-
Oh.
I need to speak to dad.

In Nox verse, do you think Regis and the rest would be quicker to realise that Ardyn is a Lucis Caelum if it was female Ardyn verse? After all if Sola already resembles Ardyn strongly when he's a male, it might be more pronounced for female version.
@secret-engima
*grins*
Well, the resemblance between Ardyn and Sola that Sola picks up on is mostly the coloring. That same red-violet hair - which is downright rare - those same sky-blue eyes. From there, Sola notes the other familial features, features that she doesn't have or are softer or slimmer or more feminine, features that she's seen in the Hall of Kings in so many portraits.
Noctis is too young yet to really know about bastards and politics. Too enamoured with his new older brother and uncle. Still coming to terms with the attack, even if the injuries don't linger.
Regis, Cor, and Clarus are blinded by their perception of Ardyn. To them, Ardyn is Niflheim's Chancellor first, Nox's uncle second. They see the similar coloring to Sola, of course, they'd have to be literally blind to miss that. But that shade of red hair isn't unique for all that it's uncommon. Aulea had brown hair, but her grandfather had that shade of red and it's popped up in other families of Lucis' nobility.
(It's been two thousand years since Ardyn and Somnus' time. One of Somnus' children inherited Ardyn's red hair, and it's had over a hundred generations to spread throughout Lucis' population.)
It's not been said since Aulea's death, but underneath her coloring, Sola looks very much like her mother. That Sola still has Lucis Caelum features is due to Aulea (and many other Lucian nobles) having Lucis Caelum blood from a distant branch LC ancestor.
So a female Ardyn? With softer, feminine features?
Before Ardyn uses her magic, everyone, including Sola, assumes Ardyn is Aulea's relative.

Aww tredd feels left out- *gives him a hug and kiss on the cheek*
Tredd, what is your favorite date idea? And what do you think of camping?
extremely cocky Tredd: " Uuh, I like that peaches. Wanna go with me to my flat after? I can show you more how Tredd appreciates his people."
all the glaives:
Tumblr media
Tredd: "... You all act like some strict nuns." *Crowe ready to punch him in the face*
Tredd in mock surrender: " Chill out, witch! ... Anyway Tredd doesn´t date. I can´t be chained to just one person, I like to be available to all the sexy people, you know." *winks
Tredd: " Camping sounds like a fun thing. But I am too accustomed that when camping it´s usually for work and not for fun. But if it was some nice coozy cottage overlooking the lake. Then hey, I may be hooked."

Some fanart pieces inspired by @saltymog’s fanfic, Penumbral. These are based on chapters 19 and 21. If action and angst is up your alley, I recommend giving it a read! \(^▽^)/

More for myself as notes for Johanne and Jackson's bg3 companion quests otherwise imma forget
Johanne's companion quest will consist of finding the small group of Zhentarim agents who are super interested in studying celestial related things and capitalizing off it that she was chasing after before the nautiloid. These agents are tadpoled as well and have joined the Absolute. One of them is a necromancer and revived her father, essentially using him as walking library of all things celestial and a bodyguard of the sorts for the past something years while suppressing his humanity and certain memories. Small hints and references to Johanne's celestial lineage being connected to the dnd equivalent of Valkyries, who are typically women ofc but her dad ended up becoming an aasimar to act as an archive for them while Johanne revives the line in a sense which is her celestial mission. In the end, she will have to kill her father to put him out of his misery and gain the knowledge he has. Depending on choices made, Johanne will either become a Scourge aasimar and need to conceal her face from then on or continue to be a Protector aasimar. Either way, post-game will have her lead a group of all sorts of people that act as Valkyries while protecting travelers throughout Faerûn, but will seem zealot-like if she became a Scourge. Lotsa themes of grief over a loved ones death, emotional restraint from bad experiences of love and intimacy, and moving on or letting grief consume you.
Jackson's companion quest is much simpler in that it's a bit more introspective?? The two focuses will be his mortality as a half-elf and the nature of his work and how it affects him. He feels like an imposter as a city-circle liaison for the city and the Druids circles as he represents both at the same time. He's a ranger that's very in tune with the city and urban areas, despite growing up in a Druid Grove and even being a follower of Mielikki and Sylvanus. Various past contacts and associates of Jackson will appear and give their thoughts about him to the PC. When asked about them, Jackson will mostly agree with them regardless whether it's a positive or negative view stating that people are complex and they can be everything and nothing all at once. At some point he'll talk about leaving Baldur's Gate after wrapping up any loose ends there and return to Neverwinter to his and Johanne's family but also wanting to continue doing something else as his lifespan is relatively long. Some of his endings can have him lead a branch of Zhentarim in hopes of taking over the whole group or lead an adventure/mercenary guild.
Jo's is more put together than Jackson's at the moment so his is subject to change. I def wanna use themes of good intentions, questionable methods, a means to an end, and for the greater good for his quest.
