Ateez in Different NSFW Careers
Pairing: ot8
Genre: smut, 21+
Warnings: lots of sex, masturbating, porn, domination/submission, fetishes, lmk if i missed anything egregious
Note: this is an idea for a miniseries but idk and thought id put it out there to see if people are interested (dont bring up the ateez mixtape series, im working on it!) thank you @wingsofimagery @yessa-vie for listening to this brain rot
read more here
Hongjoong:
onlyfans creator, solos of him masturbating or nudes. weirdly artistic? like camera angles on point, edited to perfection, color graded. rarely, if ever, collabs with others. occasionally posts erotic photography of one unidentifiable woman. his subscribers aren't sure what to make of it but pictures of them together are some of his best work. daylights as a photographer and has some of his work in small galleries across the city.
Seunghwa:
amatuer porn star, makes homemade couple porn or something with a close female friend. domestic/bf vibes in every video. v soft with each other even when they're having rough sex. people assume they're actually dating bc of the insane chemistry even though they never show their faces. its his fun dirty little secret no one in the office knows.
Yunho:
boyfriend for hire. specializes in "turn your brain off for the night, i'll handle it." rent him to be your date to an event or just for a night on the town. doesn't always sleep with his client (his discretion) but usually cuddles and will spend the night. just trying to pay off his student loans since being an analyst pays shit. big yunho bc he has a big... u kno? and loves hearing the women he sleeps with rave about it. has had several repeat customers and older women that recommend him to their friends.
Yeosang:
audio erotica. just aside hobby for him. tbh 9/10 times forgets to record or that he even has the account. started bc a girl he was seeing freshman year of college told him she wanted a video with the sound on and he didn't know what that meant but she liked his voice enough to let the completely black screen slide. posts sporadically but always makes waves when he does. people have offered him money for custom audios and he always turns them down.
San:
fetish model. shibari, leather, latex. you name it, he's most likely modeled it. has portrait of himself (unrecongnizable, facing away just his back criss crossed with ropes, hands bound at the base of his spine) hanging in his apartment. his friends think its weird since they know he's the one in the picture but most of the girls he brings home just think he's into some freaky stuff. started bc he would nude model for the art classes at his college when he needed fast money for weed. people assume he likes really kinky sex bc of his job but he prefers vanilla sex most of the time bc his job is so kink heavy. works as a fitness instructor as his 9-5, and had a few people recognize him but most are cool and leave him alone
Mingi:
nsfw twitter creator. videos, pictures, sliding into dms. mingi does it all and enjoys the comments of people thirsting over him even if he's one dick among thousands. for his day job he works in a sex store and flirts with the exotic dancers who come in to buy their costumes (turned down every single time, there's even a pool for how quickly he'll strike out). the one girl that flirted back still lives in his brain rent free bc all she did was smile and he folded like origami. now when she comes in mingi has to remind himself not to drool.
Wooyoung:
cam boy brat, sugars on the side. likes being degraded by his audience when he's bad. lover of milfs, and has a sugar mommy he sees once a month. loves being wined and dined by her and then loved on at her fancy apartment uptown. started doing both in college to pay rent, now works at a dance studio and keeps it up bc the extra cash is nice. enamored with taking pictures during sex. has a collection of polaroids with his current FWB that he cherishes more than anything (always carries one in his phone case). toyed with the idea of having her come on his streams but he doesn't want to share. he should probably look into that more.
Jongho:
dungeon dom (IDK), the kind thats a look don't touch dom. if you need a session to work through your stress, go to him. sexy spanking, punishment spanking, therapy spanking. he's got the knowledge and know how. has a strange collection of vintage dvds and magazines. rare stuff that he treats like art rather than smut. jongho i never want to speak on your name im sorry

This is a flash fiction about a youtuber than begins to grow right alongside her audience after starting a new mukbang series. Trying out a pretty different writing style, i hope you enjoy:)
“Hey guys, welcome back to my channel! As always, don't forget to like and subscribe, and let's just get into it! So I know you guys have been loving my mukbang story time series, and we have part 4 coming at you right now. This is some serious drama, so let me get set up and show you what I got for today. I know last time I did crab legs, but like everybody does crab leg mukbangs so honestly I'm just like, how can I be different, ya know? So I asked you guys what I should have and you blew up my twitter poll, I can’t believe over 300 people voted. The final choice was Burger Shack, so I got it! I’m gonna try all their new menu items and rate them while I tell you all about my ex best friend and how she totally snaked me. Oh these are good. What are these? I didn't even know Burger Shack made jalapeno poppers. So, I met my ex best friend, let's call her Tina, when I was…”
“Hey guys, welcome back to my channel! Thank you guys so much for all the new subscribers! I had no idea my last video would go viral like that! I can't even believe it, like I'm literally still shook. I’ve been having so much fun making these mukbang story times, so like and subscribe if you want more! Ok so we’re on part 7 right? And now for the moment everybody alway wants to see, this is our spread for the day. You guys voted for pizza but there was a comment with like 4000 likes saying to do a footlong sub, so i'm doing both. And I'll need it, cause this part is wild. So at this point, Tina’s ex Bradley had entirely fallen for Sam and it was soooo beyond obvious, but when I actually talked to Tina about it…”
“Hey guys, welcome back to my channel! You already know exactly what we’re doing today, it's another mukbang story time! Don't forget to comment, like, and subscribe, and make sure you follow my twitter to vote in my weekly poll! I love letting my followers choose my mukbang meals, so make sure to show support so I can keep doing this series! All this food is getting really expensive. Ok so, today we have Taco Palace, and I've never been here before so I had to try everything. They have like 12 types of tacos, I literally couldn't choose. So we got the 12 taco combo pack, all 4 burritos, a couple gorditas, two tortas, another 12 pack of taquitos, and chips and queso. Oh my god, everything smells so good. I wish you guys could smell this right now. Ok so where were we, part 12? So it's still March right? And Courtney posted on her finsta that Sam was faking her pregnancy, which wouldn't have been that big of a deal if Courtney hadn't been middle school friends with Tina's new boyfriend, which means he saw the finsta post before…”
“Hey guys, welcome back to my channel. I’m excited to get into today's video. I think we're on part 19, but before that, I just have something that I need to say. I love making content and I'm so grateful that I get to make these videos for you all. You guys love and appreciate me so much and I really feel that, but not everybody in my life supports my career the way my subscribers do. I saw some old friends for the first time in a while this weekend and they were all so unsupportive and so jealous. They told me that I should stop doing this mukbang series even though it's going so well, I mean literally just hating for no reason. I wore some newer stuff, some nicer clothes, and my friend was like ‘I'm glad you have so many subscribers but you’re really looking different now, maybe slow down on the mukbangs.’ Like, she's actually mad I have money and can upgrade? She was just like, straight up jealous, because later I heard her whispering with my other friends about my clothes. Sorry I can afford designer and you can't! Like it really just broke my heart that they don't wanna see my success. Those are the kinds of people you don't want around you, and I just wanted to say, never let someone take your shine. Anyways, getting into the food, last week you all voted for chinese but after everything from yesterday I wanted cake, so I got both. As usual, I got almost everything on the menu to try, I actually just had this place a few days ago and their sesame chicken is amazing. Ok, where were we? Right, the baby. So anyways, when Sam walked into the room with that baby everyone was beyondddd gagged…”
“Hi guys, welcome back to my channel! Make sure you like and subscribe, we’re getting into part 25 today and this is where things really get crazy. Before I do, we have a quick word from our sponsor, Cravings Potato Chips. Everybody knows and loves Cravings, but with their three new flavors, I just haven't been able to put down the bag. Cravings was kind enough to send me a lifetime supply of all of their fan favorites and I’ve never been happier, I mean look at the size of this box! I've got, like, 5 more in the garage. So for today, we’re gonna have Cravings Potato Chips in sour cream and onion, original, and BBQ while we eat our main mukbang. Speaking of, you guys went crazy on the poll, I can't believe almost 6000 people voted. We’re back to an old classic, pizza from Formaggio's. If you don’t know Fromaggios, like what are you even doing? They have the best garlic butter stuffed crust in like, the whole world. And they were doing a buy one get one, so I got two pizzas, buffalo and barbecue wings, and then two of those cinnamon things. You guys know I’m obsessed with these, I've had them in so many mukbangs before. So, let’s talk about it. At this point, Erin is holding Tina’s phone over the blender and everyone is screaming, and Cici turns to me and says….”
“Hi guys, welcome back to my channel! So you guys know I always start my videos by asking you to like, comment, and subscribe, but there’s something I need to remind everybody. Even though I share a lot of my life, you guys don’t know everything about me. So to all the people in my comments saying I’m pregnant, please get some business to mind. I mean really, I saw a comment that said something like ‘She’s so obviously pregnant, she’s eating so much and just look at her face.’ Like oh, you’re my doctor all of a sudden? Some of you guys loooove to make assumptions. This is social media guys, it’s not all real. So while it seems like I’m eating a lot of food I’m really not, it’s just a pretty normal amount for the video and I always have some leftovers. So it’s not pregnancy cravings, it’s just my series. I love sharing my life with you guys but I had to clear the air cause the comments were getting ridiculous. Anyways, today I got food from a brand new restaurant that just opened up, they do Italian. I have all 5 of their pastas, some garlic bread, 2 calzones, and an order of cannolis. And of course, I have my Cravings Chips. So let’s get into it, part 32. So Dylan had just yelled ‘Pull the trigger you bastard’, and I guess Tina was in a silly goofy mood cause she…
“Hey guys, welcome back to my channel! Thanks so much for watching and don’t forget to like and subscribe! I know you guys have been loving that I’ve been posting more often, so I think we’re gonna keep it up and record three story times a week from now on. I just want to thank you guys from the bottom of my heart, you make it possible for me to do what I love! Let me show you what we have for today. I’m like, starving right now and I couldn’t decide what to get since you guys voted for Chicken Me Tender and they’re closed on mondays. That’s totally my bad. I’m gonna film another story time tomorrow to make up for it, but today I went with burger shack again. If you know me, you know I’m like, obsessed with their jalapeño poppers. I actually invented a better way to eat them, you dunk 3 in ranch then put them on one of the sweet and spicy bbq double bacon cheeseburgers, I’m telling you, you gotta try it. I could literally eat like 10. Alright, so we’re settled and we got our food, let’s get into the story. I know last week everybody had questions about how Tina’s father was even issued a passport as a fugitive of the law, but there’s a really obvious explanation…”
“Hey guys, welcome back to my channel! Thank you guys so much for liking, commenting, and subscribing, I can’t believe I’m actually celebrating 100,000 subscribers! It feels unreal to say that out loud, you guys have changed my life and I couldn’t be more grateful. Before I started making this series I had tried every type of video, and to any creators who are in the place I was, don’t give up. You just have to find your niche. Another thing I wanna say to smaller creators is don’t compare yourself to larger, established creators and wish that you had what they have. Like for example, when I was broke I would look at rich creators and be so jealous of their designer clothes, but now that I actually can afford the designer clothes I found out that they’re so cheap, like Shein quality for real. They’re always tight and they never fit, they rip and the buttons snap off, and they shrink before I even wash them. You have to replace them so often and all the sizing makes no sense, so things aren’t always as good as they seem! Anyways, you guys voted for sushi today, so I had to get the catering party platter just so I can try everything. I’m so excited, and you know we have our Cravings Chips here too. I actually can’t wait, this looks so good, hold on. Ok, It’s part 38, This is where the story starts to get unbelievable. So it’s been over 61 days since her disappearance, right?”
Hey guys, welcome back to my channel! As always, don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe! I’m so excited to announce my new sponsor, Harlequin ice cream. Harlequin makes the highest quality ice cream possible with heavy cream made from grass fed cows, and they’ve created the world's first ever butter ice, an ice cream made of pure, hand churned, organic butter instead of cream for the richest taste possible. Harlequin has over 30 flavors, and you can use my discount code mukbang to get 20% off your first purchase. I know this is an ad guys, but I swear I'd say this for free, Harlequin is literally the best ice cream I’ve ever tasted. I’m so excited to be working with them, I can’t believe I’m getting paid to review ice cream!
I’ll be doing the Harlequin challenge on tiktok where I taste a new flavor every day for a month, don’t forget to check it out! So in the Twitter poll I posted pizza won again, but I saw a tweet saying I need to switch up the options, so I decided to go with something a little different today. I’m going to be eating BBQ from Big Danny’s, and I’m actually kinda nervous. I’ve never had BBQ before. I know that sounds weird, don’t come for me, but I really hope I like it. I got ribs, pulled pork, hot dogs, brats, BBQ chicken, and cornbread. I had no idea BBQ servings were so big. Like…? Are you guys seeing this? These are like party platters, it’s crazy. It does smell good though. So, where were we? Had we gotten to the part about the racehorse? Wait no, no, the hot air balloon ride. Ok so part 43, we’d been in the air for about 6 hours at this point, and night was beginning to fall…
Hey…*urp* everybody, and welcome back to my channel, don’t forget to like and subscribe. If you notice I’m still wearing the outfit from part 51 it’s because I’m filming the videos back to back, I’m going to be in my cousin's wedding this week and I still have like a million things to do. I have to get my nails done, my hair done, I have another dress fitting, there’s seriously so much. I love my cousin and she’s totally not a bridezilla but girl come on, this is the 4th dress fitting she’s had me go to. Every single time she sees me she always like, looks me up and down and tells me I need to get the dress fitted again. And it feels crazy cause everytime I go, the tailor acts like she’s doing so much. She adds like a ton of fabric just for the dress to look exactly the same, what is she even changing about it? The last time my cousin saw me at a family dinner she said you really need to get that bridesmaid dress refitted, and the whole time it's like, if the tailor could just do it right… But whatever, whatever, I’m so happy for her. This is actually the same cousin from part 27 if you guys remember, she’s doing so much better and the dolphin bite healed perfectly. For our mukbang today we have Roundy’s donuts. Shout out to them, because when they saw the viral Twitter poll they sent me all these multipacks for free. Thanks Roundy’s! The multipacks have 6 in a box and we have glazed, crème filled, jelly, chocolate dipped, rainbow sprinkles, powdered, and caramel crunch. Oh my god, that’s so good. Let me go ahead and start the story before I get distracted. So we were on part 52, and this is where you gotta start paying attention. We know Melody had two pet lizards. But what we don’t know…
“Hey guys, welcome to my channel! If you like the video make sure to like, subscribe, and comment. So we’re just gonna get straight into it today, I got a couple fried appetizer sampler platters from Don’s and I want to eat them while they’re still hot. I also have wings and fries from ToJo’s since last time I ran out of food before I got to the end of the story and I didn’t want to have to get a delivery in the middle of the video again. Oh, and of course I’ve got my Cravings Chips, thanks again Cravings for sponsoring this video! Make sure you try out their new double fried kettle chips. So, we’re getting close to the end here, and part 63 is actually insane. Like I was saying in part 62, I’m holding Tina by the ankle, Tina is still reaching for the diamond with both hands, and the helicopter is seconds away from take off…”
“Hey guys, welcome to my channel. This is gonna be a really short video and I’m not even going to do my regular intro because I know you guys are mad at me. I can’t believe it’s been two weeks since I posted, you guys are so sweet and you haven’t stopped blowing my comments up asking for the next part. I really didn’t mean to leave you on a cliffhanger, but it wasn’t my fault! While I was filming the last video the weirdest thing happened, the office chair I always sit in to film randomly just gave out from under me. Like it totally cracked and then snapped. I landed on the floor and it ruined my new top cause I fell so hard all the buttons flew off, I guess from the impact or whatever. Guys I’m seriously, like, so annoyed because I just bought that chair around the time I started this series, it’s like, brand new basically. This is a PSA guys, only work with companies that actually care about quality. Tell me why I emailed them about my warranty, they sent a new chair, and it broke as soon as I sat in it? So I’m filming this on my couch, if any office chair companies that actually make good chairs want to sponsor me, my email is in my bio. It’s our very last mukbang together and I just want to thank you guys so much for watching and supporting. I’m excited because this video has a little sneak peak of my new series, so stick around. I know the last video ended when I was just about to reveal what really drove me and Tina apart for good, so I have an old classic, Burger Shack, and I’m just gonna get right into it. After everything that happened, all the drama, all the mystery, the investigation, surviving that whirlpool, and even escaping the cult, we were basically fine. Then she did the unforgivable. When I posted on my birthday she liked it but she didn’t comment, not even a heart emoji. Like, who does that? What a bitch. Anyways guys, join me for my next series all about nostalgia where I talk about why stuff sucks now. Like why do airplane seats suck so much? They used to be huge and now they’re so tight I can barely buckle the seatbelt. And concerts suck too, it’s like the artists aren’t even trying. And all the food portions are so tiny nowadays, it’s like they’re trying to rob us! I’m gonna get into everything that bugs me. Let’s start with the airplane seats, because I just ran into this problem last week. There’s no reason I should barely be able to squeeze myself between the armrests, and the leg room is so small I couldn’t even bend over to get my bag of snacks from under the seat in front of me. We pay too much to be shoved in tiny seats like that, and when I asked a flight attendant what changed she goes ‘Oh I’m so sorry ma’am, we’re looking for ways to make accommodations as we’ve found our customers have generally been growing more ample as of late.’ Like okkkkk?? What does getting fat have to do with me? So I was like…”

Can I ask if you use OBS for streaming? And also any tips for an aspiring streamy girl? *looks at you with the wettest eyes*
I do use OBS ! If youre not really familiar with it, its totally worth looking up some simple tutorials for. Once you can get a grasp on the program in general, its super modular and fun to mess around with. I think my biggest pieces of advice for streaming are like. 1: IGNORE those numbers queen. It can be super easy to see streamers with anywhere from 29-100 viewers and feel sucks about an average of like. 1-4. but literally anyone who uses twitch- or any platform- has to start there unless you're already situated on a different platform!
Tumblr media
These are my average viewers from 2020- its taken me a long time to do anything on twitch, but its been a hell of a lot of fun, and its let me meet some of my best friends in the world because of it! Streaming is a great way to meet people, which brings me to point 2: Absolutely be careful who you meet! I've met a lot of really great people on the site- but as much as small streamers gotta stick together, there's some real stinkers out there who only want to 'network' with you. I won't pretend im BFFs with everyone I interact with on the platform- we're like neighbors <3- but I can confidently say I've never spoken to someone with intentions of clout chasing. The internet's the internet- stay safe out there lmao Ironically this becomes less of a problem the more you stream, you kinda learn to spot it, but back when I was at around 300 followers I absolutely had some incidents where people were playing some real booboo games to try get closer to me. Lots of streamers have promo channels in their respective discords- places you can link your stream when you're going live- just make sure you're an active-ish member of the community if you plan on doing that! Chatters are way more likely to stop by if they recognize you- and its pretty rude to be completely silent in 45 discords unless you're going live- 3: have fun!! Twitch is still just a hobby for me- its admittedly helped me out of a few rougher financial months at random points in the last few years- but im still very far away from making it my full time job in any capacity. Pace yourself- play games with your friends- and have fun! Worrying about growth and money is a pointless endeavor- because twitch will not help you grow! 4: Use Other Platforms: (as well, i mean) There's a lot of youtube videos and tutorials debating the best streaming site- "ahh heres why i left twitch forever vs aahhh heres why im leaving youtube forever" but it boils down to Sites Is Sucks ALWAYS. Forever. If you want to grow on twitch- or any site- make sure you're posting about your streams elsewhere too! Not JUST stream promo posts, but highlights and clips as well! If you can get some sort of editing software, subtitling them expands their reach a TON across the board, though it does take more time to subtitle them. People wont know what youre doing unless you tell them! Now, this does mean you might have to download the dreaded tiktok- I can't speak for the quality of that site in terms of getting people to watch streams; but twitch itself has sent me emails in the past recommending I post clips to tiktok. Plenty of streamers do it- use your best judgement, and what sites you think you can adapt to! Tiktok honestly might be better for getting your clips out there without a preexisting audience- when I first started streaming, I had 6000 followers on tumblr and my promo posts regularly got 1-4 notes- Nothing against those 6000; a promo post is tragically similar to an ad! Of course they wouldnt click it. They dont know how sweet and awesome and silly i am and how my friends mash me with hammers. Theyd want to see that. [The Promo Posts Were Also MID] Some of these things might sound weirdly specific or erratic but its 1 AM and im just recounting some random knowledge ive gained- none of this is a science of course, people might swear the opposite for some of these things. But! Have Fun

Seraphina the Camgirl
18 years old, Cisgender Female (she/her), Bisexual, 157 cm
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pinterest | Spotify | RP/Ask Blog: @xxbl00ds0akeds3raxx
Here it is. The long-awaited Seraphina lore MASTERPOST. Under the cut you will find 1,000 words describing her & her backstory, ALONG WITH a compilation of my favorite pretty pics :3!!
TW // Kidnapping, Self Harm & Disordered Eating (briefly mentioned), (Ask to Tag)
If there’s one word that describes Seraphina, it's famous. Her classmates look up to for her top grades and her delinquency. (The only thing that keeps her from being among the most popular is her relationship with Kylar. She has a soft heart and never uses her status to put others down, because she knows what it's like to be the underdog.) Most of the town is aware of her as well, particularly due to her... keen interest in exhibitionism.
At first, she began exploring this in the comfort of her own room. When she began working & saving up money to pay Bailey, she spent some of her savings to buy a laptop. Quickly, she became enthralled with the internet. She spent most of her free time playing video games or watching My Little Pony with Robin. Technology was a great escape from reality, for a while. Unfortunately, most of the content she consumed was less than stellar. She spent an unhealthy amount of time on sketchy chat rooms, threads and forums, gore sites, and porn sites. In these forums, users began to tell her that she should use her webcam and stream herself. Seeking money, attention & validation, she joined a cam site. Making money without leaving her room and interacting with the lecherous townspeople sounded like a dream and she would be able to become comfortable in her body without their gaze.
Though, this decision would prove to be more detrimental. The audience she garnered wasn't any less lecherous, and because they were online & anonymous, they were more sadistic. She'd get higher tips for increasingly awful requests, such as harming herself on camera. Due to poor emotional regulation and spite, she'd do it.
After that inkling of kindness, Kylar became fixated on her. He easily found her online and began to monitor her online presence. Sitting and watching her streams for hours on end fed his parasocial relationship. When she began to befriend him, Seraphina was completely unaware of his obsession. But once he started using throwaway accounts to threaten and harass viewers in her streams, she'd become uneasy.
Once she started to connect the dots, she started to distance herself from Kylar. He was openly dangerous; threatening people at school over her, and all in all making her uneasy. Her streams became infrequent. She returned to playing video games and spending every second with her actual boyfriend-- Robin. Her childhood best friend and the light of her life. He was her safety net and she was his- especially considering she pays Bailey for him.
The final turning point was on Halloween. She lovingly spent the day with Robin, then Whitney, and had an awful feeling about meeting Kylar in the park. Even more so when he brought her into the woods. She played along with his love potion bullshit, gave him a taste of his own obsessive medicine, but then Whitney showed up.
One thing about Seraphina and Whitney is that they are complicated. He bullied her and made her life hell for so long, yet she genuinely cares for him. They've had their sparks of love/romance, but mainly she just seeks him out to have fun. Drinking, vandalism, exhibitionism, hard sex,,, she thinks spending time with him is a blast! So, when Seraphina excitedly went along with everything he on Halloween, it destroyed Kylar. His actions that night terrified her. She moved seats in English, never left Robin's side, and secluded herself for weeks.
Kylar kidnapped her one evening after school. She wanted to buy some new clothes, but ended up bound in his basement. Eventually, she cracked. He was obviously devoted to her, and truly wanted to keep her safe, right? One look at the state of his house broke her heart. Everyone deserves a friend. He's misunderstood, he just needs someone to take care of him. Clearly, no one else would.
Her innate want/need for people to be kind to each other often makes her naïve. Like Robin, it makes living in the DOL town a huge struggle for her and her mental health. Harper requests to see her every Friday, but she doesn't listen to any of his advice. She is a masochist who copes with pain and lack of control through self harm and disordered eating (though her sensory issues play a big part of that as well.)
Speaking of sensory issues, Seraphina is autistic. Because of her line of work, she's had to learn how to be hyper aware of others and their body language. Oftentimes, this leads to her assuming everyone has the worst intentions and causes her to panic, aided by her past traumatic experiences. She has issues with clothes textures (wet fabric in particular) which honestly could aid her in how little she wears. Because she's autistic, she has a tendency to fall very deep and obsessively into interests very fast. This is how she fell so far into the internet all at once. As I've mentioned before, her special interests include MLP, Classic Creepypastas, scene/scenemo subculture, music, and dancing.
For work, Seraphina models with Niki, is the main star in shows at the brothel with Briar, helps Darryl with the club, dances for Charlie's friends, strips, bartends, and prostitutes herself. Skulduggery is something that she practices, specifically when she works at the spa or is fucking a client. (She used to rob houses, but it's dangerous for her to walk around at night now that she's so well-recognized.)
Before Seraphina was sent to the orphanage, she lived with her single mother (Rosalia the Castoff) on Domus Street. She was an accident; the result of a contraceptive failure between Rosalia and a client. Coming from poverty, Rosalia had just barely gotten on her feet financially. Still, she kept the pregnancy and had Seraphina. Try as she might, Rosalia couldn't support the both of them. This resulted in her surrendering Seraphina over to the orphanage at 6 years old and disappearing. She's presumed dead, based on the state she was in as she gave Seraphina up, but there's never been any concrete evidence. All that remains of her are musings of her name on the street, spurred on by Seraphina's presence. Townspeople note that Seraphina is following her mother's footsteps and laugh at the idea that her fate may be the same. (Especially considering her fame may as well have surpassed her mother's now.)

Ad-Live 2022 [Night Session] - Chiba
Premise:  Producer named Jin (Shimazaki) is tasked with ensuring the success of live advertisements, but doesn't have the data to do so.  Blade (Enoki) is a man with a cursed “disease”, whereby his genitals have morphed into a sword. He’s looking for way to cure himself, to get back to his wife ‘Saya’.   Aramaton (Aramaki) is a man dressed in a sheep plush hoodie, who keeps asking if people “remember him”. His intentions are unclear.  Suzumura is the higher-up who checks on them.  Jin must enlist in the help of these two to achieve at least 30% viewership in the advertisement broadcasts, in order to keep the studio in money for making Jin’s favourite anime show about “Magical Galaxy Girl Desuko”, and to prevent the "higher-ups" from killing them.
Official preview video [here]   / Day Session [here]
Some Funny parts & Ending below cut!
[ KEYS:  E = Enoki Junya / N = Shimazaki Nobunaga / M = Aramaki Yoshihiko (or Mackey) / S = Suzumura Kenichi ]
---- ---- ----
M: your name is Omata Blade? (stares intently)
N: Oi why are you making fun of people's names?
E: What about you, dressed like that?
M: I was doing nothing outside the studio when I was brought in as an extra.
E: That's not a costume anyone loiters in... ---- ---- ----
(every time E sheathes/unsheathes his “sword”)
N: That's such a good sound!
---- ---- ----
S: (squints at M, E) Actually, what's wrong with you two?
E: (ad-lib cue) Just as you would imagine.
S: NEVER IN MY LIFE COULD I IMAGINE SOMETHING LIKE THIS! ESPECIALLY YOU!
---- ---- ----
M: (takes giant spoon prop between legs to match E's "disease") Now that we match, we look like a unit don't we?
E: (touched) I'm so happy! This is the first time I feel understood!
(hug and accidentally poke each other with “swords”)
---- ---- ----
S: (tries to style them)
E: Oh lemme try this on. (puts coat over sword)
(everyone piles on coats excessively to hide E's sword)
E: No stop! My identity is being erased!
---- ---- ----
(advertising products, E and M have sword fight with their respective *ahem* props)
E: These amazing products can even make music!
S: (frantic whispering from sidelines, RIP head producer) STOP STOP STOP!
---- ---- ----
N: We have to attain 30% viewership to save Desuko's show!
M, E: Who's Desuko?
S: (rushes to them) No no no no no!
N: (simp mode activated) DESUKO IS THE BEST MAGICAL SPACE GALAXY GIRL IN THE UNIVERSE, HOW COULD YOU NOT KNOW?!
---- ---- ----
Just E jabbing at everything with his sword -- including N's face on a poster
---- ---- ----
(Advertisement viewership = 5%)
M: Well, this is kinda mine and E's fault...
E: Yes, we're very sorry for the trouble we've caused.
M: In fact, N did an excellent job portraying the magical girl character!
S: (bursts in) WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING? 5% ONLY?!!!
M,E: (points to blame N immediately) It's this guy's fault!
---- ---- ----
M: (threatening) I’m looking for the person who ate my dear friend Aramaton.
E: Aren't you "Aramaton"?
M: No, that's the name of my pet sheep.
E:??????
---- ---- ----
N: (enthusing about job) What exactly is  “entertainment”?
E: It's hurting people for amusement and fun isn't it?  [*Enoki PLS]
---- ---- ----
M: (threateningly, holding out picture) Do you recognise this sheep? N: No… E: (stage whispers, innocently) It’s the delicious one!
M: OI. YOU BASTARD.
---- ---- ----
M: (takes out gun for revenge and starts shooting at feet)
S: (jumping so much for his age) WHY ARE THERE UNLIMITED BULLETS?
---- ---- ----
M: Revenge on N for eating Aramaton is mine!
E: No, revenge on N for causing this disease is mine!
M: You think you can dodge my *tama (= bullets) ?
E: (dramatically unsheathes) I may not have any *tama (= balls) left, but I'll definitely slice yours!
(Fight like children as the audience laughs wildly)
S: Okay this is actually impressive… Quick! (smacks N) We’ve gotta film this! (starts recording on phone)
---- ---- ----
(audience laughing very loudly, echoing sounds)
M: Goodness, what was that?
N: It's probably the voice of the universe!
---- ---- ----
N: What happened to Aramaton?
M: (ad-lib cue) Aramaton didn’t pay his rent! Now all my money is gone! N: You’re not avenging Aramaton for love, but for money?!
---- ---- ----
E: I’m going to the toilet.
M: Eh? How’d you go with (points) that?
E: (accidentally bangs sword against door, monotonous) Ah. N: Isn’t that supposed to be painful???
---- ---- ----
N: (during after talk, praises staff for drawing a wonderful poster for the imaginary “Desuko” anime he mentioned)
M: (praises staff for preparing the props, esp the list of people he killed for revenge and the pot)
S: The staff are amazing at their preparation, thank you everyone. But what’s most shocking is that (E’s sword)! He even brought it from home!
---- ---- ----
Ending: (The last 10 minutes were honestly so chaotic; they nearly missed the threads of their stories, but made it back in time.) The "higher-ups" are an actual superior alien race, monitoring the humans via TV broadcasting. If the broadcast fails, it proves humanity isn't worth it, and everyone will be killed. Jin is actually an alien who loves anime, and doesn't want to see humanity be destroyed. That's why he's so intent on making TV studios a success. Aramaton is actually the name of Mackey's character's pet sheep. To avenge the death of Aramaton, Mackey kills a list of people who presumable ate Aramaton at a restaurant. But, Jin confesses he recognised Aramaton because the sheep wasn't eaten–it was Jin who abducted Aramaton for an alien experiment. Aramaton is still alive. Blade is not blade. "Saya" is not his wife. Blade IS Saya. Mackey unknowingly killed Saya before this event, and Saya was so revengeful that her soul was absorbed into a male alien vessel. The sword as a disease was also fake. Her main aim is to kill Mackey. Jin is forced to finish the final broadcast, in which he pleads for everyone to forget their grievances and forgive each other, so everyone can move forward. All the characters are moved. Final push comes from a phone call for Blade/Saya: Let all aliens and humans live in peace together.

15 and 43 for Phoenix and 3 for Dawn!
TYSM T!! 🤗💖 These were really interesting ones to dive into!
Dawn: #3 How often do they show their genuine emotions to others versus just the audience knowing?
Dawn comes across as the type of person who wears her heart on her sleeve, and probably thinks of herself as someone who doesn’t hide her emotions. But is that true? Well, it’s complicated… She has a gift for putting a positive spin on any situation. In the blink of an eye, she will take a disappointing situation and talk herself into believing it was all for the best. You’ll rarely, if ever, see her cry unless it’s tears of joy or in response to a sappy love story. She never sits in a painful emotion long enough to express it or process it fully. She wouldn’t think of it as hiding her emotions so much as talking herself out of them.
Phoenix: #15 What’s the most obvious difference between their behavior at home, at work, at school, with friends, and when they’re alone?
When Phoenix is at work he is focused, reserved, and serious. Some may find him intimidating if they don’t know him well. If he's not careful, he can become a bit of a workaholic.
Around close friends he is much more relaxed and open. He enjoys sharing stories and joking around. He laughs more easily the closer you get to him. And only those closest to him will get to see his softer, vulnerable side.
When he’s alone he keeps the music loud and stays busy. He’d rather play video games than watch TV. Though, he’s more likely to be cooking or working out. But, to be honest, he keeps time alone to a minimum. He’ll usually exhaust all other options first.
#43 What do they commonly misinterpret because of their own upbringing / environment / biases? How do they respond when realizing the misunderstanding?
Phoenix tends to misinterpret generosity as manipulation or attempts for control. He doesn’t ask for (or accept) help. It has less to do with pride and more to do with control. He needs control and independence. He doesn’t want to owe anyone anything or give anyone leverage over him.
In the case with Dawn, he was fine asking for her help because it was in the context of his job. He needed more resources to finish his project before the deadline. He wasn’t accepting her generosity; he was offering her a job. Even with Atlas building the website, he was donating his time to the shelter, and it was fully documented as such.
Personal favors or help is generally off the table, and he can become suspicious of (or even aggressive towards) people who push this or try to force the issue. Especially if money is involved.
Even if he later understands that the person genuinely just wants to help, it doesn’t change anything. He would feel indebted in a way that makes him extremely uncomfortable, so he can’t accept it.
I'm having so much fun with these! TYSM @simstrashkingdom !!

since i had a lot of people approach me about that partner call i put out, i thought i would compile a list of plot ideas i have just to make things easier. please keep in mind that this list will contain dark, tcboo, and problematic content so read at your own risk. if you could message me if you're interested that would be appreciated as i'm on mobile 99% of the time and i'm a sideblog so tumblr likes to dick around.
UPDATE: i've moved to @grandfatherissues so message me there if you're interested!

001. an esteemed hollywood movie director casting a disney actor / former beloved child star in a controversial and exploitative role. probably takes advantage of her excitement to work with him and/or her eagerness to shed her good-girl image and not only moulds her into his dirty on-screen fantasy, but very likely becomes obsessed with her off-screen in the process. an age gap + power difference would be preferred.
002. a cult leader teaching his daughter / sister / granddaughter / niece / new young wife what a good and obedient follower of their cause is expected to behave, dress, and speak like.
003. a prolific and hardened criminal / gang member developing a fixation for someone who isn't interested in him / his lifestyle. cue him stalking her, threatening her and her loved ones, blackmailing her, all the fun stuff until she either gives in willingly, or he just decides to take her and keep her anyway.
004. an obscenely rich man and his mail order bride / trophy bride and their life in the domestic suburbia he's carefully chosen for them. a big age gap, power differences, + some bimbofication would be preferred.
005. a family dynamic (father x daughter, brother x sister, cousins, uncle x niece, grandfather x granddaughter, etc) where they only have each other left and try to take care of each other in the best way they know how. but along the way, their relationship becomes highly co-dependent and close, and they end up developing feelings and tension they never expected.
006. a gross old trucker picking up a runaway / traveller and agreeing to take her where she needs to go, but then pulling over somewhere dark and isolated because of course he requires some sort of payment for his service.
007. a science fiction / fantasy plot where humans are enslaved by monsters or a supernatural creatures. the humans are assigned as toys for the monsters / creatures fun and pleasure, or maybe even to be bred if you want to explore that. but basically a plot where a highly virile monster / supernatural creature gets their long-awaited assigned human pet / partner / bride.
008. a hardcore adult content creator and the young amateur just looking to make a quick buck making a video together. ideally it would include rough / dark kinks but it can be something they both enjoy and continue doing, or it can be something she's really not into but keeps coming back because his audience like her and he offers her more and more money to perform.
009. a much older man (ideally at least 50+) finally deciding he wants to be a dad so going after a much younger woman to make his wishes come true. a huge age gap, daddy kink, and breeding/pregnancy would be preferred.
010. brothers / twins going after the same girl and either making it a competition who can get her first, or maybe they end up playing fair and having her at the same time instead. if they're twins, maybe one of them starts fucking / dating her but the other twin also gets to have his fun by pretending to be the other, and it's a big old fucking mess but...they end up lowkey working as a trio? idk.
011. a young woman who's curious and needy falling for / being seduced by her best friend's dad. him being all supportive and sweet to her, always offering her to stay, giving her rides home, treating her like his own daughter. but then the immediate perking up whenever she's around, the way his stare lingers too long when she's hanging out at their pool, the way he finds excuses to be around her when she's staying over for the night. can instead be a dad's best friend plot if that's preferred.
012. an only child finding out his father had a love child many years ago which was the cause of his parents divorce. and now she's around and in their lives and he lowkey resents his new sister for his mother being hurt by his father cheating and their lives being disrupted by the divorce, but he also lowkey develops an attraction to her and starts a tiny fixation that may or may not get pushed too far.
013. a guy fathered a child when he was very young himself (early to mid teens) and wasn't given contact by the mother / went to jail / the kid ended up being adopted, and now it's 18+ years later and he's finally reunited with the child he's always wondered about. but because of the smallish age gap between them in comparison to other parents and their children, and also because they're pretty much strangers getting to know each other for the first time, their dynamic leans more towards being friendly and fun at the start, and eventually develops into something romantic / sexual as they begin to spend more time together and get all their overwhelming and conflicting feelings / urges mixed up.

Community Teaching of Game Features
One of the wildest contradictions of game development comes from the question of how much to tutorialize and how to go about it.
For games with relatively simple controls like Megaman X, you can do the fancy invisible tutorial of its prologue level where it quietly teaches you individual concepts, only moving on - literally only allowing YOU to move on - when you've mastered them. Basic l/r movement? Starts you in a basic screen with nothing. Shooting? Enemy too big to jump over. Jumping? Bottomless pits. Wall-jumping? Pit that DOES have a bottom that you have to wall-jump back out of. Hollow Knight also does this beautifully. Both games have several videos, with Arin Hanson's Sequelitis vid probably being the most famous.
But back when I was playing Pokemon Emerald, I looked up how you get some of the pokemon I hadn't found yet and...there was no way to expect a person to discover the information about how they could be found in game. And when I shared this complaint with my friend with a PHD in Japanese media studies - a literal Pokemon Professor, as she bragged when she first got said degree - she said that the way I'd discovered where they were was probably the way I was supposed to. Gamefreak wants people to share wikis and talk on the playground about the Mew under the truck (it isn't) and make guides and videos about how to get all the Cursed Beasts in Scarlet/Violet and so on.
And I saw a video series from a while ago where Razbuten shared his wife's experience with learning the vocabulary of games later in life (than childhood; I'm pretty sure she's a good deal younger than I am). And something struck me during that explanation: He talked about how many of the lessons he'd probably learned from message boards, guides, or just having someone tell him "you can push b to run in Mario," but here he was trying to have her learn the same lessons in a vacuum. To his credit, one of his conclusions on the same video is, "Don't do that."
But it left me wondering: How much effort should a developer spend on teaching new players? Part of why tutorials trend toward kind of low-effort is because a game can reasonably expect that 80%+ of its audience already knows almost everything about its control scheme, if said scheme is following conventions of the genre - be that mouse-aim on a shooter, the function of HUD compasses with quest markers, or something as seemingly obvious as "press A to jump." Of the remaining 20%, 80% of them can be expected to pick up the controls of the individual game swiftly because they're relatively familiar with games in general. So in terms of True N00bs who need to be taught how to traverse a game, any game, in your tutorial? That's like 4% of your audience. Is it worth tutorializing heavily in a way that some of them won't even read and which might reduce the fun of the first level (that is, the level roughly all of your players are guaranteed to play)? It makes sense that so many tutorials end up feeling so low-effort. And on the other end, if you want one that's glorious and teaches everything while never getting in the way of great players, how much money and dev time has to go into making a masterful experience like the one that Arin Hanson gushes over in his Sequelitis video? Is that worth having one less level in your game? Two? What's the cutoff?
My suspicion is that some studios see the 4% and opt to go low-effort, and others do their best to elegantly include something that at least somewhat gives totally new players a handle on the situation.
The two bits of Secret Sauce I've taken away from this and would offer to fellow devs:
The Safe Zone. Hollow Knight has platforming areas with few or no enemies and with no penalty for falling. Super Mario 64 has the lawn in front of the palace where you can just mess around with the controls and explore.
Fun Controls. One of the things that has helped maintain Nintendo's place at or near the top of the industry for so long is that the movement style for its characters is just fun. Mario in Super Mario 64 is fun to run around the palace lawn in spite of there being no objectives there! This in turn gives incentive for players to experiment with the system and discover moves for themselves.
Blarg, this is neat but got far afield from the point.
The point was that even basic controls of your game can be community-taught, and that will usually be better than you can teach them because it can be responsive to the individual queries the player has. I've experienced the same when trying to figure out how to write a rulebook for a board game. You need one person in the community of people who plays your board game to be able to learn the game from your rulebook, if that. It's possible they'll learn from videos online anyway.
At that point, the value of having your rulebook be effective as a guidebook, a set of examples, and a place to find answers to frequently asked questions quickly gets bumped up over having it be a straightforward how-to tutorial. Doesn't necessarily change how much you write but rather changes the style of what you write, possibly even the format.

Very relieved to hear I'm not the only one who doesn't care about/like Taylor Swift. All her music is the same. All she does is write about her exes and then is like: "Hmmmm.... Why can't I keep a man guys." to the press like... Gee, I wonder why that is. It sure is a mystery with that girl. *rolls eyes* Not to mention her apparent penchant for suing fans when they have fun and use her lyrics to sell stuff on redbubble like.... Girl you're a billionaire and you have a problem with broke fans making fun stuff on a website to make some money?
Yeah I mean, personally I have questionable music taste so I’m not going to judge anyone for that, and like. When I was in high school I did really enjoy 1989, got the CD for Christmas. And admittedly while I agree her songs sound kind of repetitive as a whole, they ARE catchy, so credit where credit is due she has the formula down to a science. And that formula continues to include making exes look like bad guys, regardless of what the real story is (and tbh the real story is not truly anyones business but theirs)
But, yeah, I’ve always gotten weird vibes from her. I know that for a long time she wasn’t talking about politics because she was still trying to corner the country audience, and something about contractually being obligated not to talk about it maybe? But that was still weird. And then she had a music video that apparently was supposed to take place in Africa but didn’t have? Any? Black people? In it???
Also also, she had Lena Dunham (derogatory) in that one music video??
Also also also, did we just like, FORGET that her private jet pumped out 8,293.54 METRIC TONS of CO2 between January and July (when that study was published)? She was the worst offender on that list, “1,184.8 times more than the average person's total annual emissions” IN SEVEN MONTHS. HELLO????
And yesterday I think I shared a post that had this quote from the Genius commentary on the opening line of Vigilante Shit which encapsulates exactly why I don’t like her: “This is an appropriate reflection of Taylor Swift herself, who often paints herself as the underdog despite being the most wealthy, privileged and critically acclaimed white woman in the music industry. She performs feminist tropes while simultaneously benefiting from and playing into patriarchal structures and white privilege.”
She didn’t get to the top from nothing. She came from a wealthy family who owned a Christmas tree farm in Pennsylvania, and she’s a white skinny 30-something cishet woman with more money that I could fathom ever having. Obviously that’s not to say she can’t be a feminist or can’t be critical of the systems she benefits from, and honestly kudos to her for being able to leverage that in her favor, but it’s a lot easier to leverage that in your favor when you’re… a thin cishet conventionally attractive woman who came from privilege to begin with.
So idk. Ultimately, if her music wasn’t enjoyable, she wouldn’t be one of the most successful musicians in the industry right now. I’m not judging anyone for enjoying her stuff. But I am critical of her and encourage other people to be as well. (You can be critical of things and still enjoy them!!! I know I have several things that fall into this category!) So idk at the end of the day listen to what makes you happy (or what you enjoy, sad music exists lmao) but also like. Realize that celebrities are not our friends and do not have our best interest in mind since it is so far removed from their bizarre, out of touch reality

I'd planned to liveblog the Always Sunny Podcast live show and afterparty but I got too caught up in it. I do have some notes I scrawled on a sheet of paper here and some shitty phone recordings because screenrecording was making my ancient laptop lag like crazy, but I'm quite drunk and very sleepy, so I'll write them up later. If I can be bothered later. Probably not lbr.
I believe the videos are gonna be up for the next 7 days to rewatch as many times as we'd like? (Hey future self go figure that out.)
For now, quick thoughts before my brain shuts down:
Outfits: 9/10. Docking a point for Glenn buttoning up his shirt in the afterparty. Rude. Should've popped that shirt off.
Music, harmonizing and jamming: 100/10 VIBES. Shout-out to Charlie and Glenn singing Christmas tunes together and Charlie's musical improvisations on the piano with Glenn on guitar.
British royalty talk: -3/10. Rob, I do like you, but given my background, I personally do not care to hear about how the king is cool or whatever. Idc if you talk about meeting them, but sucking up to them is dumb and you need friends who aren't posh types like Humphrey (no offence to him, I'm sure he's nice).
Glenn as the grinch, being grumpy as shit, munching on cheese and crackers furiously after drinking a Rob manhattan and just giving 0 fucks about Christmas happiness: 11/10 MOOD!
Best host contest: blasphemy/10. Picking Meg is cheating and I adore Charlie, but no. Why was little Glenn on #3? Poor chap.
Gifts: 10/10 thoughtful <3
Lingerie talk: 8/10. Not long enough. Could be gayer.
RCG improv scenes: A++/10. They just got better as they did more. The stupid key chain sounds had me dying.
Serious conversations in the afterparty about S16 writing, Megan's happy experiences at Sunny vs other shows, doing RCG rewrites and the creative process disagreements between Rob and Charlie while Glenn is mostly quiet and tired or sometimes mediating: 17*/10 friendship. Also, Charlie is right that 4:3 and Standard Definition is The Sunny Look.
Chat, voting website and audience interactions: flop disaster/10. Why didn't they try to set up a normal poll instead of a page on a website that was definitely going to crash?! Anyone under 28 could've told them the chat was going to be impossible to read and full of spam without a proper moderator, but even our Meg is old and doesn't really know this stuff lol.
*arguably 19 because they started working on the home movies in 2003 with the first ones shot in November.
It was a slow start and they were clearly tired from being in the writer's room all day, but after the first half an hour, the boys slowly came back to life and stayed on for an extra 45 minutes, which I appreciated, having paid all that money to watch them.
It was like a 3x duration unedited edition of the podcast with some extra segments and I did have fun, but tbh it didn't have to be a livestream except for the few moments they actually interacted with the chat. The whole point of a livestream is the audience participation and even they seemed disappointed they couldn't hear us or really be able to read the chat?
I don't think the Moment interface is that great either. They could've just gone live on youtube or twitch and hidden the stream after a few days for the same effect and given away the leftover money from superchats and donations. They'd probably raise less money that way, but it would actually take advantage of the format. Fingers crossed their next livestream goes a lot smoother. And hire moderators please!

Do you prefer Xbox or Playstation? Maybe you're a Wii aficionado. Or you might prefer to play on your computer, iPad or even your iPhone. It doesn't matter where you play, it's always best to learn tips and tricks to make your hobby of video gaming better, so read on.
Be aware of ESRB ratings. Just like movies, video games come with ratings. These ratings let you know the intended audience for the game you are about to play. If you are buying video games for a minor, it is important that you familiarize yourself with the rating and warning system. If you are playing a sporting game, and you don't have any experience with it, set the difficulty level to rookie. This will help you pick up on the unique features of the game and learn your way around the field. If you set it higher than that, you are likely to get frustrated and not have any fun. Save your game in a few files. Every few saves, create a completely new file. This will allow you to go back to different parts of the game. You can't do this if you only saved your game in one spot every time you save. If you have a child that loves video games, make sure you set up some limits. Clearly express how much time a child can invest in one day and stick to it. You can also use video games as a reward when your child completes chores around the house. For example, you could set up a system where each chore they do gives them ten minutes of game time. For parents, video games can present a genuine conundrum. koreapoker want to play the latest and greatest games that their friends are talking about, but you want to have some control over what they experience. The solution is simple: Do a little multi-player gaming with your children! Play together with them so that you know what they're seeing and doing. Before playing a new video game, read the cheat book. Most games have a book you can purchase separately. You may want to consider doing this and reading it before you play, or even while you are playing. This way, you can get the most out of your game play. Read the reviews and watch the trailers before you purchase a video game. Make sure it is something you are interested in before you get it. These video games aren't cheap, and you won't get nearly as much money when you trade in a used game that you have only used a few times. Check to see if the place you get video games from has a rewards program. You can get extra discounts on games, and even subscriptions to gaming magazines. These may also reward you extra money for trading in used games. It may cost money to sign up, but the rewards add up quickly if you go there often. Sometimes a game will come out and then a bunch of downloadable content follows. If you want to save your money, then you may want to wait for a while. This is because there may be a version of the game that comes out later that includes all of these things for a lower price. Don't get stuck paying for a bunch of extras that you could get on one disc later on! If you are having trouble finding older PC games, or even running them on current operating systems, try searching for online stores that offer downloadable titles. Stores such as Steam or GoG offer a wide range of older PC games that have been patched and updated to run on modern Windows and Mac's operating systems. These games in these stores are priced at a fraction of their original cost, making them an affordable gaming option. Make sure that you know what video games your children are playing. Some video games are packed full of violent scenes that are designed to be viewed by mature adults only. koreapoker need to ensure that your children are not being exposed to excessive graphic violence while they are playing video games. There, don't you feel like you know a ton about being a better gamer now? All it takes to learn is a little effort on your part, and you'll find that knowledge goes a long way. Keep learning, keep playing and you'll find that your gaming becomes better day by day.

Alright time for a depressing rant that I feel I need to type out to feel better
I'm fucked. I can't find a job and I have negative money in my bank account. Rent is nearly 900 dollars. I have two bills still needing to be paid. There's barely any food in the house. If I can't get a job or find some money somehow, then what? My parents will let me stay with them, but that's not in the city I live in. It's in a rural town away from all of my friends and all opportunities to go out and have fun or do anything. There's less jobs out there. If that happens I've fucked over my best friend and roommate, who can't afford this pace all on her own, and I don't know what might happen with her if I leave. Oh, and I'd have to abandon my cat, which makes me feel like a literal monster, because my Dad is allergic to cats and not very healthy. A cat in the house could actually kill him, so I don't want to do that either. So what can I do? Just go back to my parents and... Do nothing until I die? I always think about trying to stream, but I don't even have a computer. I doubt I could gain an audience by just streaming from the twitch app on my Xbox and using my mic to talk. I also just... Don't think I actually like streaming. Or anything I "want" to do for a career. Streaming. Drag. Singing. There's a few things I "love" and "wish I could be doing" but the thought of actually doing them... I don't think I'd enjoy it. Streaming for months on end with no viewers. Trying to do drag with no make-up skills, no fashion sense, and no idea on how to move my body. Everyone says I have a nice voice but, honestly, so what? I love to sing but I'd never be a good artist. I can't write songs, I have no actually knowledge of making music like my sister does, and she's barely getting anything from being in a band. Nothing seems to be worth it. None of my "passions" seem like they should be pursued, because what's the fucking point? I'm never going to succeed in them. Not fat fuck me from fucking nowhere, knows no one, no fucking drive to do anything. I'm just so tired of this struggle. I've been "lucky" that I could stay in the city for this long while unemployed, but that's only because my fucking grandmother died and I got my portion of the inheritance. But I miss her so fucking much. It's not fucking fair, none of this is fucking fair. The way the world is, the way I am, the way I'm going to ruin my best friends life because I'm a fucking failure at everything. And my cat. My fucking cat. I don't want to live without him, I can't fucking abandon him like this, he's already been abandoned by those he's loved before. I'm fucking cruel for putting him through this again. And also passing the burden to someone else. Probably my best friend. "Hey I know you're minus half of rent but could you also cover the expenses for my cat now? Thanks." Fuck. God I'm so bad with money too. This is mostly my fault for being in this position. I'm so so so so so fucking bad with money. It all goes away on fucking Uber eats or door dash and fucking weed. And the occasional video game. I don't know when to fucking stop. And now that everything is so fucking expensive it goes even quicker. Ten years in this city is all I'll get I guess. Ten years that were filled with mostly me crying about how stressful living is. Some fun, some good times and memories, but... It's been nothin but shit for a long time. And it won't get better. I'm fucked. I wish I had the balls to kill myself.

Tactacam: From tinkering in the garage to a massive success story
Tactacam: From tinkering in the garage to a massive success story
Most marketing agencies, product development teams, and executive leadership for large companies in the US are located in the coastal areas or big cities (New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, etc), and don’t really have a solid understanding of what makes middle America “tick.”
Every once in a while, a company comes along that has that understanding, and it’s usually because the founders themselves are from the proverbial “flyover country” of America. Today, we’ll talk about one such company that started with a single type of niche product - hunting cameras - and how their understanding of what their target demographic wants leading to a 99x traffic growth over 4 years for camera manufacturer Tactacam.
One type of product can be enough.
One might look at Tactacam and wonder how a company that really only offers one product - cameras built for outdoor enthusiasts - could achieve a 99x growth rate in traffic and massive business success.
Those who understand the outdoor enthusiast economy know better.
$536.7 billion was spent by Americans on outdoor gear in 2022, and that’s a trend that has risen pretty much every year as long as it has been tracked. Tactacam is not the first type of camera that is targeted towards outdoor enthusiasts (GoPro), but the brand focuses on a totally different Total Addressable Market (TAM).
While GoPro focuses mainly on adrenaline sports (mountain bikers, skiers, etc), Tactacam targets hunters, conservationists, farmers/ranchers, off-grid residents, RV owners, campers, boaters, and fishermen.
It may surprise some city slickers who read this LTV Spot newsletter that 29% of the traffic for a company that focuses on the above activities would be female, but it’s not surprising for those who grew up in the Midwest or South.
What is surprising is the age distribution that is relatively even from age 25 all the way up to over 65.
And while we call the wide suite of Tactacam offerings “one” type product, we do understand the major differences between their multiple lines of that type of product.
While they are all essentially cameras, the variations sold by Tactacam are each designed for a different purpose:
Many of the products listed above will be targeted and sold to the same general audience - think Iowa or Texas vs New York City or Los Angeles - but even that population has to be segmented for offers based on interests.
The very first Tactacam was an early beta version of the brand’s best-selling action came series. Founder Ben Stern went to school for videography, and his grandfather made fun of him for telling a story about a buck he shot while hunting but not having any video to back up the story.
Ben used what he’d learned in school to build a very basic camera that could be mounted to his rifle, took it out hunting to test and refine it, and began to share it with friends. It soon became so popular that the company was born, and the product lines grew from the action camera to other offerings which facilitate all of the activities listed above.
Ben knew his customers, knew the current demands that were not being met within the marketplace, and got to work building an outdoor camera empire.
Patents & IP can make you primed for a buyout or acquisition offer.
As of this writing, Tactacam has 12 patents for its technology, from the cameras to mounts and stabilizers. Some entrepreneurs go into business out of a love for what they do or building teams, but some just want to make as much money as humanly possible - and there’s nothing wrong with that.
Getting patents for your products or ideas can be an expensive, time-intensive, and bureaucratic process, but if your product is new or novel it can be well worth your time to do so.
And if your goal is to see your company eventually acquired by a larger brand or private equity firm - after which you can cash out and live the rest of your days on a beach sipping mai tai cocktails - having the rights to IP or patents that can be sold or licensed to other companies is a good way to do it. Know what your customer wants and where & when they want it.
The core of marketing is understanding how to reach your customer with the perfect marketing tripod of, “right time, right place, right message.” Tactacam is a hybrid DTC eCommerce company with most of its products sold through retail channels because it knows how its customer’s shop.
Additionally, and most importantly, they know where their customers shop:
If you know anything about hunting, fishing, or outdoor enthusiast culture, you know the brands listed above. Tactacam also has deals with outfitters, which are companies that lead and “outfit” hunters with gear and supplies on hunting trips.
Each of these tactics - outfitters and retail channels - allows the brand to meet its target consumers in the places where they are already seeking gear for the activities Tactacam products are used for.
If a hunter or fly fisherman doesn’t even know that Tactacam exists but is provided with one of the brand’s action cams for a big game hunt in the backcountry of Montana, there’s a better-than-average chance that hunter will go home and buy one for themselves.
You can also see this conscious tactic play out where Tactcam doesn’t offer sales channels:
Despite the social media focus, the brand doesn’t have stores on any of its social media platforms. In fact, the links included in these videos point you to the brand’s website, but the only products that can be purchased on that site are the Reveal brand cameras (and not the flagship action cameras):
Outdoor enthusiasts are more prone than other groups to be in the “trust, but verify camp.” They are more likely to want to put their hands on an expensive product before buying it, especially if it’s going to be a part of their trusted kit or hunting load out.
By putting its products on the shelves in trusted retail channels, the brand gets additional marketing through shelf placement, which is noticed when its target customer is already shopping for the gear they need.
It also forges alliances with these trusted retail brands.
And as stated above, the brand’s customers aren’t likely to buy something just because they saw a cool ad or post for it on social media.
Know how to talk to your customer and where.
Besides the retail sales channel, where else does Tactam put its marketing focus?
Direct, organic search and paid search are the top 3 channels for the brand, with the remaining 3 marketing disciplines (referrals, social, and display ads) coming in far behind.
With their focus on creating social media videos for content, it’s not hard to understand why a lot of the traffic comes from mobile users:
Notice where the paid vs organic is. The target demographic for this brand may see things they like on social, but will go to their desktop to perform searches, and likely when it’s time to buy. They aren’t as likely as urban customers to conduct a purchase via mobile.
Let’s have a look at the keywords that Tactacam targets in its search efforts:
Most of these keywords focus on the brand name, which could indicate it’s a strategy built to ensure the brand catches people who either hear about the products from a friend (word-of-mouth, some of the most powerful marketing in the world), or who see products somewhere and decide to perform their own search.
What about the search ads that Tactacam runs?
Notice the search ads also focus on the brand name (Tactacam) or brand name + products.
The brand knows that it’s already a “known quantity” in the industry and is pointing potential customers in the right direction to do their own research on Tactacam products.
Since the brand owns a dozen patents for its technology and products, they don’t have to worry as much about knockoff competitors as other brands would.
Social can help brands build communities.
There are many social groups that were extremely popular in the days of our parents and grandparents that have fallen on hard times because not as many people these days are inclined to be a part of those groups.
In certain demographics, however, the desire to commune with like-minded individuals is as strong - and even stronger, in some circumstances - than ever.
The Tactacam potential customer demographic is one of those groups, and the brand has capitalized on that quite well.
With over 83k ratings for the Tactacam REVEAL app bringing it to a nearly 5-star average, the brand has a lot of “social proof” to help bring in customers and new users for the app - which is required to use the functionality for the brand’s products.
The brand also has communities within each of its social media pages:
Retargeting and upsells.
Even though Tactacam follows an eCommerce/retail hybrid, the company still incorporates the tactics that we at LTV Spot constantly say that every brand with an online presence should: upsells in the sales funnel and retargeting.
Let’s go down a quick sales path for the Tactacam products that are offered on the website. Remember, the company doesn’t sell many of its products on the website and has no social media shops.
I clicked a link in one of the brand’s social media posts, which took me to the product line page of the website:
I selected one of the products that were neither the most nor least expensive:
And was immediately hit with the accessory upsell offers that would go well with this product:
After selecting to purchase the item above and abandoning the cart, I began to check my various social media accounts for retargeting efforts, and quickly found this:
While the brand didn’t end up in any pre-roll ads on YouTube, it did get this tile icon sponsored on my YouTube dashboard, which would have been a good location for it.
I didn’t find any more retargeting efforts but given that the demographic most likely to purchase these products will do so through the stores listed above, it’s not hard to see why retargeting wouldn’t be one of their greatest ads spends.
Even if it’s minor, every brand should have comprehensive upsell and retargeting strategies baked into its marketing allocation.
The Marketing Machine and Numbers Behind Tactacam:
Tactacam has had 137 different installs into its website tech stack over the years but is currently down to only 42. This very well could have been a shift in strategy dictated by the private equity firm that bought the company out, but it certainly highlights a change:
Nearly all of the brand’s former advertising programs were removed (DoubleClick, Google Ads, Facebook Advertising, Pubmatic, Google Remarketing), but the video platforms remained (Vimeo, YouTube).
It very well may have been the PE firm that moved Tactacam from a pure e-commerce business model to a hybrid e-commerce and retail model, which would certainly necessitate a reduction in online ad spend.
Additionally, once the brand started seeing a meteoric rise within the closely-knit communities that make up its target customer group, the need for advertising greatly reduced - as happy customers are doing it for them.
The employee headcount ranges depending on where you look, with ZoomInfo reporting <25 employees and GrowJo reporting 160. Pitchbook puts the number at 326, and that platform is likely to have the most accurate numbers based on the LBO deal from the PE firm that bought Tactacam.
Revenue numbers also vary, and as a privately held firm Tactacam doesn’t have to report them as a public company would. ZoomInfo puts revenue at <$5mm, but GrowJo seems to be a little closer to an accurate estimate at $7.5mm per year.
Overall, Tactacam has made great leaps and strides since it started off in the garage of founder Ben Stern. The brand’s story just goes to prove that if you know what your customer base wants and how to deliver your value proposition to them, the sky is the limit.
 How Can You Apply this?
Tactacam started when founder Ben Stern’s grandpa made fun of him for not putting his education to good use. Deciding to get to work and turning a hobbyist hunter into a brand-building success story certainly has some insights to be gleaned from Ben’s experience.
So, what insights can we glean from the story outlined above?
Applicable insights:
If there is enough unmet demand within the marketplace, one core type of product can be enough to build a successful brand - if you know how to play your cards right.
If your product is new or novel, establishing and owning the patents & IP behind it can be a game changer that leads to a very successful future (and protection against competition).
Know what your customer wants before you even start building a company or product.
Know where to sell to your customer - it may not be the places where other brands are putting their efforts.
Know how to talk to your customer, and where. Different platforms will often require different messaging and strategies. Know the difference.
Social media platforms are a low-cost way to reach a wide audience. If you have a community-inclined target demographic, social should be used to build communities.
Every single eCommerce brand needs to have strategies within its sales funnel for retargeting and upsells.

Week 2: Best Week Ever
Welcome Welcome Welcome back!
This week was intense. Educationally, emotionally, physically, and drinking-ly (drinking-wise?). The theme for the program this week was marketing and prototyping and let me tell you something: it can be very difficult to create a prototype of a product when you have very little money, resources, and expertise. And I suppose that is the point -- start-ups do not have a lot of money or resources so it is essential to be as efficient as possible with the resources you do have. At least I'm pretty sure that's what the point is: otherwise we're just spending money. However, I digress. Let's get into this week.
This week, in addition to prototyping your product, the team was also tasked with formulating a marketing strategy. So we decided our best bet was social media: everyone is on it all of the time and our target audience is college students and young adults. That being said, please follow @theloungepopup on Instagram! The bio has a link to our website so please check out if you're interested!
Tumblr media
We also continued experimenting with mocktails this week and we had a breakthrough! Our favorite recipe so far according to our team and everyone who has tested it: the gorgeous mocktail "Mama Knows Best". It's amazing what some college students can create with orange juice, orange syrup, sprite, mint, pomegranate juice, and black currant syrup. Behold:
Tumblr media
We debuted this drink at the business expo on Friday where all the teams had the chance to walk around and see other teams projects and practice pitching their start-ups to friends and staff members at EIA! Our team had a great day and everyone loved our mocktail. So it was amazing week for business but it doesn't come close to the fun we had outside of business this week.
This weekend we spent exactly 24 hours in the city of Lisbon, Portugal which is about a 3 hour bus ride from Porto. Lisbon was a massive city and had a very different energy from Porto. We arrived at 10:30 pm Friday night and proceeded to head out to Bairro Alto: a half-mile square block of streets filled with bars and nightclubs and is well-known as Lisbon's nightlife district. Unfortunately I didn't take a lot of pictures in Bairro Alto, only lots of drunken videos that are over a minute long so I want to spare everyone reading here but trust me it was one of the best nights out I've ever had.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then we spent the rest of Saturday in the beautiful town of Sintra which is about a 40-minute train ride from Lisbon. We really enjoyed the gorgeous little town and then explored the castles that Sintra is famous for!

Finally, we arrive at my favorite part of the Porto trip so far. On Sunday, my friends and traveled with a tour guide to Peneda-Geres National Park. I cannot say enough how this tour was one of the best experiences of my life and I've never seen or done anything quite like it. We hiked and then swam in the azure blue and green lagoons of the park before having the most delicious traditional Portuguese lunch at restaurant with scenic views of the mountains. I could talk for hours about how amazing this place was but instead I think I'll just drop a bunch of pictures and let them speak for themselves. That's all of the updates I have for this week so if you actually read this far, I appreciate you and hope you're doing well. Hopefully these pictures are motivation enough to make you want to visit Porto and Portugal! See ya next week!

Biweekly Media Roundup
- Across the Spider Verse (Movie) - I pretty much already knew this movie was going to be amazing given how Industry-changingly Incredible the first one was, but wow man-What a spectacle. Visually I think it’s even more impressive than it’s predecessor and honestly the best looking thing I’ve seen all year, with the different animation styles for each character and dimension being a joy to behold every time. Gwen’s watercolor dimension was my favorite location and I loved how the colors would shift with the characters emotions and bleed down the screen. Spider-Punk was a standout as well with his paper-craft style and fantastic design making him steal every scene that he was in. I also really liked Miles as a protagonist in this one, he really got to shine here. I don’t really have a lot to complain about, the writing was tight, both villains where fantastic, the soundtrack slapped, the only thing I’m mad about is that I have to wait a year to see the story resolved-but that’s a feature, not a complaint.  As a side note I do find it pretty funny how horny everyone is for Miguel btw, like don’t get me wrong I get it, he’s a big tiddied well designed tragic backstory vampire cringe fail DILF, he’s lab tested to be popular on the internet, it’s just pretty funny that I can’t scroll for 5 minutes without seeing his thiqq ass plastered on my screen, y’all are thirsty.
- Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (Video Game) - Progressing a bit slowly due to some other stuff I’ve got going on, but still greatly enjoying it! I beat the water temple and now ghost Sidon follows me everywhere which is cute, and I’ve enjoyed seeing the memories play out. I wish it was a bit easier to make money given how much I spend, but maybe that’ll change once I do more story stuff or spend more time in the Abyss, we’ll see.
- Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves (Movie) - I’m surprised with how much I enjoyed this, given how little I’ve heard about it. It’s a really cute and fun little found family story in a classic fantasy world. The movie is accessible to any audience (As my parents loved it with no knowledge of DnD), but you can tell that the creators had a lot of love for the game in how the characters and dynamics are depicted. I love that the two main characters are a completely platonic male female pair who are best friends and raise a child together without any hint of romance? Incredible. I love how there’s a character with huge “OP NPC the DM created for lore purposes who despite the players protests the DM won’t let join the party because that would make the game to easy” vibes. There’s a lot of creative and funny scenes, and while I wish there were more explicitly queer characters, it’s nice to see familiar DnD conventions in a well-made product. I would love if they made more of these and would recommend it to basically anyone as a fun family film.
- Stalker (Movie) - My dad wanted to watch this old indie Russian film after reading an article about it being a formative sci fi film, so we watched it and. well. It certainly was a film. I will give it credit in that the idea of a location that miraculously grants ones deepest desires being portrayed as sinister not due to a monkey’s paw style twisting of how the wish is granted but due to the self-reflective horror of having to face what your deepest desire truly is and what that says about you as a person is pretty rad, but outside of that cool idea this movie was kind of a mess. There were a lot of self indulgent “Auter” style rants on art criticism and faith which honestly just came off as more complaining than anything else, and while I can respect the unique shots they were able to get the majority of the time I was just thinking “Man, it looks like they are straight up filming at an worn out/ abandoned sewage tunnel, it can’t possible be safe to have the actors crawling around in all this rancid water can it?”. Turns out I was even more right than I thought as they were in fact filming on an abandoned nuclear waste facility and just a few years after this film the director, his wife, and several members of the crew died from cancer that was heavily speculated to be the result of the radiation poisoning from filming this movie. Insane. Anyway my main take away from this film is thank god we have OSHA now.
- Kill the Lights (Webcomic) - Read this as a quick self indulgent relaxing one, and I enjoyed it for what it was. I have a soft spot for Skip Beat! style actor-based narratives where you get to see the actors thought process on how to enhance/ play out a scene, so that aspect was fun. Actually, I kind of wish the story was way more about that, I was getting into those scenes and found myself disappointed whenever it switched back to the romance stuff, despite that being the reason I came here in the first place. Aw well, I wouldn’t exactly say this is memorable enough to recommend to anyone outside the BL genre, but I liked the protagonist, side characters, and art. Also, how weird is it that with this, Mo Dao Zu Shi, and End of the Road, there are 3 completely unrelated stories in which an asian man who’s ruffian background made him adept at combat dies young and is then reincarnated into the existing body of a rich twink with a reputation for sleeping around who then runs into an even richer man from their past who turns out to have secretly been harboring a borderline obsessive crush on the protagonist and is now the sole person able to recognize them in their new body? Like, 3 isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened thrice right?
- Heavenly Delusion (Anime) - Genuinely impressed by how often this mystery show will pull the rug out from under you, lulling you into a false sense of security in which you think you have the plot figured out and then hitting you with a reveal that leaves you with more questions than answers - Good work.
- Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies (Video Game) - I think I took a long enough break, I’m ready to finish the Ace Attorney series now. The Dual Destinies DLC case was too long for my liking but at least had decent characters, and I do like both Athena and Blackquill, I wish they didn't have to share time with the previous leads and just got to do their own thing though.
- Crazy Ex Girlfriend (TV) - How does this show have so many straight up bangers. My Spotify playlist is wrecked now.
- The S Classes That I Raised (Webcomic) - Some interesting revelations in recent chapters that shed Han Yoohyun’s motivations in a new light. I’ll admit, while I did quite like him as a character, this new information is helping to retroactively fix some of my complaints about his actions towards Han Yoojin in the first timeline, making me like him even more- The brothers are just very cute honestly I love how much they care about each other. Also adding a Yoo Myeongwoo photo here because I miss him.
Listening to: A bunch of Crazy Ex Girlfriend songs, including After Everything You Made Me Do, A Diagnosis, and Remember That We Suffered, Eat Your Young by Hozier, LosT by Bring Me the Horizon, Let’s Get This Over With by They Might Be Giants, Read Between the Lines and Hey I Don’t Work Here by Tom Cardy, That’s What I Want by Lil Nas X, He Mele No Lilo by Mark Keali’i Ho’omalu, Stalkers Tango and Lent by Autoheart, Across the Spiderverse OST.
