I am ashamed to admit how long it has taken to figure out where I know these two from…

Every time they appear onscreen, my brain goes off “best boys” but I could not figure out where, I could also never decide if I knew them as a couple. Blondie I was sure I knew and loved from somewhere, but the brunette I waffled a lot with, sometimes his face made me sure that I had seen the two as a couple previously and then I’d see him in a different direction and doubt myself.

I’m sorry my best boys, to be fair to me though you changed your hair a lot!!

I mean I referred to Brunette as Ponytail almost exclusively…Anywho hello my best boys, I think this means we need a new Nitinman rewatch.

A LOOK BACK at BBOMB & JIN

NITIMAN: THE SERIES (2021, THAILAND)

The road to love for BBomb (PHOULUANG THONGPRASERT aka NOH) and his crush Jin (THANATHORN KHUANKAEW aka JOM) was a rocky one.

Beginning with Jin's relationship with Bbomb's manipulative cousin Aim. As she (AIM) seemingly stole Bbomb's crush from the beginning and her subsequent guilt and trying to correct her mistake by micro managing everyone around her to get Bbomb and Jin together.

Bbomb was often mean mugging (in my opinion) but his love for Jin was definitely solid (the reason for his love was a bit weak but we all for our special someone for varying reasons)

I often thought Keam (SARUN BOONMONGKOL aka KONG) was into Jin or BBomb with his cloak and dagger lingering watching them although he always lost his sh*t when that baby faced college freshman appeared in his orbit.

But ultimately Jin did find love with BBomb, not the best BL by any means..yet it holds a special place in my heart.

Who are your top 10 actors in thai bl?? I've heard that thailand is the weakest when it comes to acting in bl so is it true??? Bcuz I've watched so many bls from thailand and the acting is not as atrocious as I've been led to believe. Or maybe it's just me🤔

Ooo, good question. I'm not going to worry over this one, jut pick a bunch off the top of my head.

My Current Top 10 Thai BL Actors

Nanon

Khaotung

Saint

Ohm

Talay

Fluke P (The Shipper)

First

Gun

Fluke N (although he's often type cast)

Perth T (his flaw is sexual chemistry)

I didn't pick anyone who I haven't seen play multiple roles.

My definition of good acting?

Those who can:

cry and smile/laugh well (so execute the full scope of emotions),

have on screen chemistry (with BL partners but also friendships, older generations, other cast members),

execute body language (not just facial expressions),

have the capacity to be somewhat of a chameleon (AKA broad range),

have no fear of being ugly on screen (the ability to put aside ego).

Under those circumstances (particularly the last two) there a many Japanese and Taiwanese actors who satisfy my particular criteria better than Thai or Korean actors .

⭐ most anticipated upcoming bl

Of the ones that are hopefully happening soon, Love Puzzle.

I love the shared universe this is set in (Chains of Heart, Art Adore En, The Hell Guard - even if it's all by different companies) and also I love Noh Phouluang. If this gets cancelled I'll cry. Other than that, Spare Me Your Mercy (by Sammon) and My Imaginary Boyfriend (by Pat Rangsimant) are two of my favourite BL novels and supposedly they're getting turned into series soon.

⭐favorite premise (even if you didn’t love the actual show)

Lots of series can't pull it off, either because of funding or script issues but I actually really love big casts - like in Nitiman, Gen Y or 2 Moons. It took me weeks to be able to tell everyone apart in Nitiman. 🤣 Lots of these guys didn't even have a clear purpose in the story but idk somehow everyone's friendships felt very organic and fun.

⭐ best kiss

I don't have a gif of it but that moment in Destiny Seeker when Songkram wants their first kiss to be all memorable and romantic but Ai totally cheats and gives him a peck on the lips before Songkram can even react. Also, that moment in Dear Doctor, I'm Coming for Soul when Nathee drunkenly declared that he's now totally going in for a kiss.

You can practically see the MWAH! And this unscripted kiss in My School President because it was incredibly cute:

Guy's Friend and Former Crush Wahl

Wahl (TANATAT KUNANEKSIN aka WINNER) was the antithesis of a friend. He knew Guy (KRITTANUN AUNCHANANUN aka PING) liked him, he thrived on it.

His jealousy of Guy moving on and doing everything he could to give Guy false hope was sickening.

But in the end. Wahl became the friend he should have always been. Allowing Guy to move on.

In his defense Wahl probably doesn't know himself or what he wants so ultimately he isn't a bad person but good for him for being human in the end.

Side Note: Winner will star in his own BL in the My Universe Anthology Series. His 2 episodes will be called I WISH YOU LOVE and will be the the final story. And of course BL fans remember his run on NITIMAN.
