Today I read a novel for the first time in a while♪

As I've said before、I really like

「5 Centimeters per Second」！

I also like 「Nishi no Majo ga Shinda」、

And I'm reading the series' 「Spy Classroom」 and 「Ameku Takao's Detective Karte」📖´-

Novels are great right！

You can imagine the story unfolding in your head and it's such an active hobby where you have to use your head to observe and understand everything as a third party witness to the events、so even after I've finished reading I keep living the story in my mind for ages！

I really love being able to stay in the story like that…！

Today I read some fantasy novels！

It was fun thinking about how I would fit into the setting which I could never have thought up myselfー♡

I Getted 「Imagination」！

From here on I want to read lots more books、learn lots of new vocabulary、and nurture my imagination💪

6月2日 - Free Day | Sweets, Rain, and Karaoke

Today was our first free day which I was super excited about. It rained all day, adding to the coziness and slow pace atmosphere. While the day began chill and relaxing, it quickly took a turn into intense adventure and navigation. And it all started because an old friend and I from Japan wanted to simply meet and hang out (which was really fun despite practically walking through a typhoon to get to her).

Lulu Cafe ☕️🥞

After sleeping past 9 AM, I went with two classmates to a local cafe only a 15-minute walk from the ryokan. The cafe was in a hotel and was quite modern, small, and chic. We all got French toast which was gorgeous visually and deliciously sweet. The French toast was topped with French vanilla ice cream, and the toast was warm, fluffy, and had an eggy taste (which was surprisingly great). In addition to the rainy mood outside, I enjoyed a lovely relaxing morning.

Resting back at the Ryokan 🏨♨️

After the cafe, I returned to the ryokan to rest for a few hours before making my way to Nishi-Waseda station to meet with my old friend from high school of 4 years who currently attends Waseda University. Unfortunately, we could never meet in person as she was supposed to study abroad in Florida, but it sadly got canceled due to the pandemic. So as I waited for the time to leave out, I relaxed in the 6th-floor lounge area for a bit. It was nice and quiet as most people were out and about for the day.

Subway Line Confusion 🚉💳

In trying to meet up with my friend, I got on the wrong connecting train opposite of the Nishi-Waseda station (though I did manage to get on the right line, just the wrong platform). Luckily she helped me out, and we met at Meiji jinngumae. It was so nice to finally see her face to face and embrace each other in warm hugs.

IKEA 🪑🛋️

First, on our list of things to do together, we just had to go into an Ikea. As an architecture and interior design major, my friend has found solace in looking through Ikea in her free time. And as an HGTV connoisseur, I, too, enjoy looking at furniture and imagining false scenarios of where I would place each piece in a fictional house for my client (obviously rich, of course). We also ate kiwi ice cream while we critiqued the make and design choice of the furniture displayed in Ikea, which was very 美味しい (‘oishii”).

Hachiya 🍧✨

After critiquing all the displayed furniture in Ikea, we had to eat more trendy sweets, of course. So we went to a nearby shaved ice place called “hachiya” (I think that’s what it was called). The shaved ice was massive, and the flavor we got was tiramisu with coffee filling. While chowing down on the delicious sweet, we had equally delicious conversations about various topics (boys, musicals, fashion, university, etc.)

Karaoke 🎤🎵

Once full of sweets, we went to a karaoke place where we sang our hearts out to Ariana Grande, Bruno Mars, and a couple of Vocaloid songs. It was fun to adlib, dance, and joke around together as we put on quite the performance. It was also my first time ever going to a karaoke place!

With karaoke wrapping down, my host sister needed to make her way home, and I needed to return back to my ryokan to complete my blog post. Despite my free day starting out chill, I actually ended up pleasantly meeting and spending precious time with my friend. Connections and friendships made internationally are important to maintain. So while I could’ve canceled on my friend and stayed inside while the rain surged on, choosing to spend time with her was more valuable and precious than I ever could have imagined. You never know how long you have with those close to you, so I think if today reaffirmed anything for me, it would be to take the opportunities when you’re able to spend with loved ones; you never know the effect and lasting memories it’ll have not only on them but you as a person.

Do you have any idea why Azz-kun has a feminine name despite being a boy? Alice is very well-known name for girls so it makes me wonder. My personal HC is that while pregnant Amaryllis chose this name expecting a girl, but the baby turned out to be a boy and she didn't think about choosing other name. It also makes sense considering demon's world lax rules in this area.

I think your HC makes a lot of sense. I can also see Amaryllis choosing the name Alice even knowing it's a girl's name for her son just because she likes it. And an argument with David something like that:

- But Alice is a girl's name!

- So? I like it so who cares, that's going to be his name💕✨

If you ask me why I think Azz is named Alice I would say it's because Nishi-sensei is a fan of Alice in Wonderland lmao (I have 2 old tweets from Nishi-sensei as proof).

Nishi-sensei said this about the origin of the names of the love trio.

Asmodeus Alice: neutral and western image. Actually the name "Alice" is of French German (or Greek?) origin and means "noble", "of nobility" and "light".

(According to my sources in spanish also means "protector" "the one who protects")

It really suits Azz, doesn't it?

Amelie: "to work" "defender" "industrious" and "striving.")

Anyway, if we talk about theories about Azz's name, a popular HC is that Azz is a girl or a trans man.

(I really like the HC of Azz being a trans man because even though it's not my HC and I don't really share it I think it would make a lot of sense).

This headcanon has many things going for it, that Azz doesn't like his name Alice, that he knows how to put on women's clothes so quickly(even though he said it was because he used to help her mom do it) that at the harvest festival he wears bandages on his chest (though Sabnock does too), that we never see Azz's tail (and Nishi-sensei has confirmed that most female demons have heart-shaped tail tips while male demons have arrow-shaped ones). And some say that since Amaryllis is a succubus she can only have female daughters who are also succubi (although I can't tell from what source this is).

I have also seen a Japanese youtuber with the theory that the Asmodeus can only be female based on Azz is the only male member and his cousins Violet and Lily are female).

Anyway, I think the reason for Azz's name is something we might see in the future of the manga!

I was thinking of what if Tanuma decided to cut his hair and poof! ✨

Now that we're on this topic. I found out from natsuyuu fandom in discord that the author made Tanuma cut his hair as a sign of new beginning or smth after meeting Natsume but the readers wanted his initial hairstyle. (correct me if I'm wrong.)

Now that I stare at it. It looks like a much cooler version of Nishimura's hair. (Nishi's fall in the adorable type of hair.)

It looks good as heck if I'm being honest. But I'm also into the og hairstyle.

Will attempt to do another hairstyle for Tanuma next time I gain enough energy.
