Do modern digital SLRs work with older SLR lenses?

Depending on the camera's brand. Because numerous companies recently changed how their lenses and cameras link to one another, older lenses won't fit or function as they should.

The following is a list of each brand's descriptions. Please exercise caution and first read the manuals for your camera and lens to determine the best combination to prevent damage.

Older SLR camera lenses feature a minor distortion when used with the majority of digital SLRs. Digital SLRs really zoom in a little bit more because they can only view the center of the image.

Since long zoom lenses can zoom much further on a digital SLR, they rarely pose problems. If you have out-of-date lenses that need manual focusing and they are compatible with a new autofocus SLR, you will still need to focus manually.

Do new digital SLRs support older SLR camera lenses?

Depending on the brand of camera. Older lenses won't fit or perform as they should because several firms recently modified how their lenses and cameras connect together. 

The descriptions for each brand are listed below. The right combination can protect your camera or lens from damage, so please use caution and consult your camera and lens manuals first.

When used with the majority of digital SLRs, older SLR camera lenses have a little amount of distortion. Due to the fact that digital SLRs only see the center of the image, they really zoom in a little bit more. 

Long zoom lenses rarely cause issues because they can zoom much further on a digital SLR. You will still need to focus manually if you have outdated lenses that require manual focusing and they are compatible with a new autofocus SLR.
