Hey PS, in your AU what are your slugcats symbols of power? imo ig riv's would be the singularity blade/mass rarefaction cell/legendary sword, SM's would be the SRS Pearl, Hunter's would be the slag key, Arti would have the chief scav mask, Enot's would be the egg/nuke, Saint would be himself? That leaves monk, survivor, gourmand, nighty, wanderer and martyr.
but that's just my opinion.
(I wonder why you call me PS. Nobody else calls me that. Peculiar!)
I suppose their "symbols of power" are their key items yes, but I feel that they carry with their own presentation already- as individuals. They are all unique in their own special way and have their own talents and abilities. Perhaps it could be their favorite things or their associated karmic symbols. Perhaps it can be the significant friendships they formed with others, or perhaps its the scars that they endure throughout their past.

OKAY!! So imagine this, we happy few player. if you don’t know what We Happy Few is here’s a quick rundown before i head into the drabble!
We Happy Few is a game set in 1960 Britain. The government enforces everyone to take these pills called joy which make everyone happy(in the game when on joy every color is brighter, there’s a double rainbow in the sky, and there’s upbeat music constantly playing!), though the downsides to it are pretty bad.. (memory loss, ofc the overdose effect where the effects of joy are amplified) Anywho, joy was made and enforced after The Very Bad Thing, which no one remembers due to the joy. There are people known as Wastrels or Downers who don’t take joy, either by choice or their body had developed an immunity to it, they are chased out of Wellington Wells and forced into the Garden District.
You were a simple barista, well calling you one was stretching it a little bit, you worked in a pub but they sold coffee and tea along with the other alcohol that was available to you all.
You actually lived in Maidenholm, not as strict as the Parade District but not as rampant wild as the Garden District. You felt bad for those who had to go without joy, you thought whilst popping another one into your mouth. Uncle Jack says one per hour after all.
Speaking on Uncle Jack, you gaze up to the monitor which was showing his channel, this episode was called Red Riding Hood part 1— one of his Nighty Night episodes.
It was quite late outside, you had roughly an hour before you needed to head home for a good nights rest. Wait.. was it an hour? The time has been slipping away from you and the blaring sounds from the monitor weren’t helping. Looking up to the clock you find the hands to be a squiggly mess so incomprehensible someone who’s written in cursive since they were 5 wouldn’t understand it!
Wait.. since they were five..? Now that you think about it.. when was the last time you saw a child? or frankly met anyone that was younger than you?
Oh no..
A realization hit you like a frying pan to the face. You remember.. you remember their screams and cries, you remember the train whistle, you remember your best friend, and you remember the officer on duty saying “you’re too old to go”
Luckily you were in the back at the time so no one saw your moment of being a downer! Then you would’ve gotten a real frying pan to the face!
But.. now you have a decision to make.. should you pop a joy and forget, or try to remember and find a way out of Wellington Wells to get to your best friend?
Sorry if the writing isn’t good, it isn’t my strong point and i’m on mobile atm. I may write more for We Happy Few player in the future since it’s my favorite game and i’m brimming with ideas for them to meet the chain!
ALL WE DO IS SMILE DAILY
HELPS TO HIDE THE SIDE THAT'S CRAZY
HAPPINESS BECAME OUR CHOICE
WHEN HOPE CAME IN AND GAVE US JOY-
Sorry I loved we happy few and tried to find as much content of it as I could (We gotta love those JT songs)
Also, I loved this writing! I loved this au! (Possible brainwashed Player??)
THANK YOU FOR THIS ARTI

Ghost Timeline Index
The “Ghost Timeline” is a specific variant of Dreamtale that I use for my Preincident Nightmare Ukagaka. An Ukagaka is an intractable desktop buddy, and sometimes they are called “Ghosts” instead.
In this timeline, Nightmare eats a dark apple, but it didn’t turn immediately hostile. “Mare” lives inside of Nighty’s head and the two end up forming a secret bond.
AO3 - Black Apple Blues [Series/Compilation]
Sometimes abbreviated to "BwB". This is the main content of the ghost timeline, co-written by me, @wyrm-in-the-apple, and Dragon. The fics, originally published as anachronic vignettes, explore Night's relationship with Mare in more detail, and include snapshots of their life in the village and perspectives from Dream.
[Apple Rules Document]
Multi-page document about apples and the various ways they kill people. I’m quite fond of it.
The Art
I happen to post.... A LOT of drawings. Colored or not, I post it all. Most of this Index will be my attempts to keep this updated.
The Tags: Colored, Sketches (most by popularity), All by chronology.
Chronological Order
Separated by what fic they’re after/during. This is NOT currently up to date OR a comprehensive list.
Crushing - Scene from "Puberty is hard when you’re an immortal tree guardian and a magic apple lives in your head” about Night’s intrusive feelings! One of the earliest BwB sketches. Naming - Does the black apple get a name? [Colored] Put It Back - A colored comic about getting caught being bad. Hangin’ out - Just a cute picture [Art] Fanfiction - Night writes fanfiction ??? [Art] Scary Ladybug - Night likes bugs! Dream doesn’t. [Art] Worry - Night stays on user’s desktop a bit too long [Fic] Ukagaka Silliness - DTS and Gaster hanging out on the user’s desktop.
[Fic] Look Who Decided to Show Up - Fic that acts as an expansion of Worry.
[Fic] Reading - Dream has issues reading. Not QUITE as involved but written with the intent of being in the same universe.
The Audacity - Mare can’t read MareNight - Shipping WOW I used to not know if this would be canon
[Fic] Arrow - Dream fic! Bunch of internal monologuing by them showing their point of view of the situation.
[Fic] Why Couldn’t I? - Can a dark apple feel love?
[Art] Faces - Lack of identity is attractive [Art] Petting - Is it ok to pet Mare idk [Art] Translator - How does Gaster talk to people without the translator? [Art] Ribcage - shirtless skeletons ??? [Art] Comfort Item - Sometimes Dream is sad. [Art] You What - Mare can separate himself from Night if he wants! [Art] Together Cuddles - More vaguely Marenight cuddles [Art] Mwah - Night can give cuddles too!!! [Art] Magic - Mare eats Nighty’s excess magic to sustain himself, so that means that Night can’t do his own anymore. [Art] Do You Care - Negative route ukagaka jokes [Art] Group Hugggg - he wanted to be invited! [Art] Comfort - Night is hurt. Dream cuddles. [Fic] Not Hanahaki - The tree has the apples die out and grows flowers in their place once a year. Turns out, Mare, being an apple, also grows flowers. [Pic] [Other Pic]
Joke stuff Non canonical funny stuff that doesn’t ACTUALLY take place in the canon timeline. Misc Collection - a bunch of my first drawings about the timeline. Amazing. Ignore That - Mare says hi to Gaster Kinda Counts? - Me discussing Gaster and Venus (the twins mom) knowing each other. Not really related to the AU, but it was brought up because of the AU. The WHOLE Time?! - Turns out, Dream already knew about Mare and has for a while. Aro/Ace - Mildly connected to Crushing, Night hates feelings, Dream is LUCKY What is Fanfic For - How many fanfic tropes can we hit guys Perceive Dream - How is Dream seen by people, I wonder. Really? - Mare meets main timeline Nightmare
BwB Extras
There are a lot of side stories and AUs spinning off of it. There’s a SEPARATE series about it!
Coup Timeline - In which Dream and Night take over the village.
Appleswap - Dream eats a dark apple instead of Night.
Prequel? Stuff from before Black Apple Blues and could be seen as normal Preincident. Flower Outfits - For ceremonial reasons, funny looking outfits are required.

Artie all day. I've been in love with him ever since you said he listened to Neil Young. I've got a chainsaw, a 6 pack, a bottle of bourbon and a buffalo check nightie waitin for you darlin'. I moved away from the big city and stopped takin my Celexa just for you daddy-Hallmark Channel style. I'm now a writhing (but slightly worried) sexual dynamo that loves snuggles. Please take me to (a little out of the way country) pound town! 👼💕
Artie might be sweet and softer than his evil brother, but he will definitely take you to pound town and stuff you properly. He’s also exceptional with his tongue... 👌
Thank you so much for reading, darling 🥰 I’m happy that you love, Artie

The Teleprompter Interview: Katy Wix ‘My First Screen Crush was King Kong’
https://ift.tt/33I5zd9
“Anchors, rigging, shackles,” lists Katy Wix down the phone, “poop deck, wheelhouse, three sheets to the wind…” The comedian and writer has had a productive year. Filming wrapped on Ghosts series two just as UK lockdown began. Since then, she’s finished one book – Delicacy: A Memoir – due out next April, is pitching another, writing a TV show, and thanks to a new-found obsession with Netflix yacht-based reality show Below Deck, has also managed to acquire an enviable grasp of nautical terminology.
Wix is an established UK comic actor, with credits across the board, starting with cult hit Time Trumpet and going mainstream as witless, lovable Daisy in BBC mega-sitcom Not Going Out. She’s currently part of Channel 4’s Stath Lets Flats, the hottest comedy around, fresh from multiple Bafta wins. She plays Fergie in royal satire The Windsors, and was among the comedian-contestants in series nine of Taskmaster. In BBC One sitcom Ghosts, Wix plays Mary, a 17th century yokel burned as a witch and now part of the motley group haunting a modern-day stately home. Mary’s distinctive west country accent “just came out”, says Wix. “It’s an insult really, because I can’t claim to do that accent well. It’s sort of a stock noise. The more I do it, the more I think it sounds like Nanny from Count Duckula. Ducky!”
Ghosts series two, which lands as a boxset on BBC iPlayer on Monday September 21st , will give fans more about Mary’s background, says Wix. “I think people will really love it, and then there’ll be another series next year, depending on the big C. Not cancer. The other big C.”
From superyachts to Alan Partridge, The Day Today to Ghostwatch, Anna from This Life to formative sexual fantasies about prehistoric apes… here’s the Katy Wix Teleprompter interview.
Your parents were quite arty, working in dance companies and the theatre. Did your childhood allow for much TV watching?
Oh my god, yes! My routine was: come home from school, watch the tail-end of Fifteen to One, and when I was really young, repeats of The Oprah Winfrey Show. Then it would be The Broom Cupboard, something like Round the Twist, then the sound of the Six O’Clock News and turning over to The Simpsons. I still do it now, if I’m at home and it’s five to six, I’m going to watch The Simpsons, it’s a tradition.
Welsh telly was slightly different to the rest of the country. We have S4C rather than Channel 4. I remember going through the TV listings and seeing what was on normal Channel 4, like The Word, then I’d look at Welsh Channel 4 and it would just be something boring in Welsh at the same time.
Was there a TV show that inspired you to start acting and comedy?
The one I remember the most is Abigail’s Party. Seeing Alison Steadman’s performance made me want to do character acting. It was just a phenomenal, convincing, detailed performance. Years later, I wrote a radio sitcom that she was in. It was one of those absurd moments where you just have to leave your body and look down on yourself to be able to handle it.
That must happen a lot, you’ve been part of a lot of great comedy casts…
What got me into comedy was Brass Eye and The Day Today. When I was about 15, that’s what changed my brain. It was the first time I’d seen adults being silly and coming up with absurd situations that were my sense of humour. Before that, comedy on TV would always feel like just something your parents would watch but this really felt like it was for us, for me and my friends. It was the same with The Office.
And then you were in This Time with Alan Partridge with Steve Coogan last year.
I was in sixth form when Knowing Me, Knowing You came out and I had it on VHS. Watching people like Rebecca Front and Doon Mackichan… anytime Alan had a guest on the sofa, the level of detail and all the reactions and the tiny little social awkward moments, that made me think I want to do that type of performing. So then, when I got to be in the last Partridge, it was mad. It was phenomenal to be that near to the character and all his tiny micro-expressions. Even the colour of his socks – this weird salmon pink – that was so perfect. Tim [Key] was there as well and we’re old pals, so that made it feel more like, well if Tim can deal with it. But I think even Tim now says he still has times where he has to go into the loo and give himself a moment.
Who or what was your first TV love?
This will sound like a joke, but I swear to God it’s true. It was a running joke in our family that my first crush when I was about four, was King Kong [laughs]. My mum used to tease me about it all the time. It was the combination of brute strength and these massive, soulful, pained eyes – which I still look for in men – that absolutely got me. It was an erotic connection for me. When I look back on it in a Freudian way, it feels like a really obvious, very heterosexual image for a little girl to have, because I wanted to be that woman in the nightie in his massive hairy hand.
Unusual, yes, but then a lot of people our age cite the fox in the Robin Hood Disney film as their first screen crush.
I do get that. I do get that. What was it about that fox?
He’s rakish. And politically, he was sound too – rob from the rich, give to the poor.
You’re right. And he was really confident too.
Growing up, which TV character did you idolise?
There are two, a younger one and a slightly later one. When I was 11 or 12, I wanted to be a fashion designer. I would draw outfits all the time in my school books and I had the Usborne Book of Fashion Design and spend hours on it. So I wanted to be Hilary Banks from The Fresh Prince of Bel Air because she just had incredible fashion. She always got boys and she was really cool and confident and wore amazing clothes. She was everything I wanted to be.
Then a little bit later, maybe sixth form or in my early 20s. I wanted to be Anna from This Life, so much and I kind of still do. Because she was tall and really cool and had dark hair and a lot of attitude and wore black a lot and smoked a lot and didn’t give a shit. That was my vibe at university.
Is there a TV character you’d like to be now?
Probably still Anna?
Which TV show gave you nightmares?
The massive one for me, when I was about 11 or 12: Ghostwatch. I went to a friend’s house to watch it and I remember being a bit like ‘yeah right’ watching it, and then when I got home that night, I just cried. I was in the bath, hysterical and my mum had to come in and calm me down. It was horrendous.
Everyone totally swallowed it at the time, because we were less TV-savvy in 1992. I remember they had a phone-in and someone called in to say ‘There’s a shape in the curtains’, which really fucked me up. The whole Pipes thing. I remember being in my bedroom and seeing a shape of an old man in the curtain all the time. I’ve got really vague memories of Craig Charles being in a park, saying that someone had killed a Labrador. I was thinking about watching it again. I actually don’t know if I dare.

When did you last cry watching television?
Last night. Have you ever seen the show Below Deck? I’m obsessed with it. I’m not massively into reality TV but it’s an American reality show all filmed on superyachts that rich people charter. It’s almost like a perfect sitcom family – you have a different captain every time and the deckhands and then the interior, who do the hotel stuff, and then you have the chef, who’s always a temperamental big personality and then each episode has a different group of insanely rich, usually quite horrible, sexist people with loads of money who get really drunk, that’s the premise. It’s non-stop drama. You’re just watching people fall off boats and have arguments.
How did it make you cry?
In this episode, there was a girl who’d been really quiet and grumpy and everyone was slagging her off, and then she revealed that she’d got a text that morning saying her estranged father had died, so that’s what set me off. It’s got me through lockdown, it’s so addictive.
When did you last laugh out loud watching television?
Below Deck, same episode!
All human life is there!
I think it was someone’s malapropism, that’s my favourite thing about reality TV, the way people talk in a kind of Stath-like way and get it wrong.
What was the last TV show you recommended to a friend?
Below Deck! [Laughs] I’ve just got Lolly [Adefope] onto it, and Adam Drake – he’s a comedian in a sketch show called Goose and does Capital, a podcast with Liam Williams – he’s now devoted. One of my best mates was bemoaning that her boyfriend’s not into reality TV, but boys can watch Below Deck too. It’s got loads of boat stuff in it. Chains and anchors. I’m learning all these terms, like shackles, poop deck, wheelhouse, three sheets to the wind… That’s where the expression ‘in my wheelhouse’ comes from. Three sheets to the wind means you’re sailing off course.
Which TV show would you bring back from the dead?
Changing Rooms.
Good call.
I also loved The Late Review. I really loved that.
What’s a TV show you wish more people would watch?
Do you know Iyanla Vanzant? She started off on The Oprah Winfrey Show – I love Oprah so much – and she’s a TV therapist/healer/spiritual. She’s got a show you can only get on American TV called Iyanla: Fix My Life. She just speaks so much wisdom. She spends a week with people who are really traumatised and it’s their healing journey. It’s so moving, it’s so profound. She’s doing incredible work for the human race.
She did an amazing show called, I think, ‘The Myth of the Angry Black Woman’ with a house full of women of colour who all got to talk about this trope that they were angry and how they felt unable to speak without being silenced. She did a show that was rehabilitating people that had come out of prison and women that had been sex workers all their loves, just amazing.
Which current TV show do you never miss an episode of?
In lockdown, what kept me going was I May Destroy you, obviously, Below Deck, obviously. I also became obsessed with the Japanese Big Brother Terrace House, but it just got pulled because there was a suicide. It was so, so awful. I read an article saying the producers didn’t behave well, so I feel like I can’t like it any more. I love Succession too. I started watching this show on Netflix called Intervention and got totally obsessed with it. Again, it’s maybe ethically a bit dubious. It’s American, obviously, and they’ll film an addict who’s in a really desperate state and then the family kind of trick them, or persuade them to go into a room and then the intervention therapist is there and they’re like ‘Guess what, you’re going to rehab now!’ Anything that’s got human suffering, and then a redemption story in it, I’ll watch.
Given the power, which TV show would you commission?
I think about this a lot – what if I had a channel? I’d commission the sketch group Sheeps to make tons of series. That’s Liam Williams, Al Roberts and Daran Johnson, and so far they’ve only done live shows, but I would commission them for hours of TV. Colin Hoult doing his character Anna Mann, I’d commission hours of that. Everyone involved in Stath Lets Flats, I’d just say ‘Turn up, pitch and we’ll make it’. Theres a documentary from the 70s that I adore, that I would like to show again, which is John Berger’s Ways of Seeing. It’s one of the most beautiful, gentle documentaries. I feel like that should be on TV. And just whatever Gemma Collins is doing, commission that.
Also, you know in the 90s, late at night you’d get some weird, bizarre performance art happening on BBC Two? I miss that. The sort of stuff that was on after The Word. And then finally, maybe just all of Peep Show again?
What’s the most fun you’ve had making television?
Ghosts is where I probably laugh the most because of Lolly [Adefope]. We make each other laugh all the time. When me and Anna [Crilly] did our sketch show on Channel 4, it was incredible. It was stressful but exciting. It was such a nice atmosphere to be with all these gorgeous people that you find funny.
Stath Lets Flats is like that, because we’re all genuine mates. When people take comedy so seriously I really love it. I love that attention to detail. Jamie [Demetriou] and everyone involved really cares. There’s no ‘that’ll do’ attitude, everyone wants it to be the best it can be. Why not treat comedy as a science that you have to absolutely get right?
cnx.cmd.push(function() { cnx({ playerId: "106e33c0-3911-473c-b599-b1426db57530", }).render("0270c398a82f44f49c23c16122516796"); });
Ghosts series two starts on Monday the 21st of September on BBC One at 8.30pm. All six episodes will be available to stream on BBC iPlayer from then.

Three little girls were in the dining room, setting the table for their dinner.
"Ha, Seriously Sandy? You still don't have a date for Friday?" The girl with dimples giggled.
The girl with black hair shook her head and shrugged. "Looks like I won't be joining you for your triple date."
The girl without dimples gave her a shocked look and gasped. "Sandy! Don't be such a debbie downer. I'll set you up with someone."
The girl with dimples scoffed. "Really? Because, the last time you played matchmaker, you set up Dollar Dave with his sister."
The two sisters bickered until a large man appeared in the entrance of the dining room.
"Girls." The man spoke. His voice was raspy. He had a thick, black, cigar hanging out of his mouth. He looked over at the girl with black hair. The man took a seat at the newly set table.
"Deliah, Destiny, if your cousin doesn't wish to attend your ridiculous triple date, then don't force her."
The girl with black hair turned away from the man and muttered a small "Thank you" under her breath. She sat next to him, but scooted away a few inches. The two other girls rolled their eyes and sat down with them.
"Besides, I think Sandy and I would have lots of fun without the two of you, ain't that right, doll?" His eyes were glued on the girl next to him. She gulped hard. She stared hard at her cousins.
They both stared back with menacing looks. Neither of them bothered to help.
Sandy woke up to a dreaded alarm clock going off.
'Funny,' she thought. Her alarm didn't work at all. She had planned on getting a new one, but it was her same alarm clock. As she opened her eyes a little bit, she took in her surroundings. She was in her bed, and in her usual nightie. What was different about today?
"Oh fuck." She said, aloud. Sandy looked around. She threw the bed sheets off her body and quickly ran into her living room.
Arthur was standing there in the kitchen, shirtless. Sandy approached him carefully, still not fully understanding what was going on. The early morning sun was slowly creeping outside the window. The small apartment was dark, beside the light of in the kitchen.
"Hey." Sandy said, quietly.
Arthur looked around him, slightly startled. He didn't expect her to be up yet.
Arthur smiled at her gently. "Good morning."
Sandy looked down, bashfully. "Yeah, what are you doing up?" She stepped into the florescent lighting of the kitchen.
Arthur shrugged. "I couldn't sleep."
"Really? Did you fix my clock?" Sandy smiled, giggling slightly.
"Yeah, you talk in your sleep. You kept mumbling about the alarm, so I fixed it." Arthur answered, sheepishly.
"Also, we were on the couch when," Sandy cleared her throat, "we, ya know."
Arthur smiled. "You also sleepwalk."
Sandy giggled and gently punched his shoulder. "You got all of that from just spending the night with me. Color me impressed, Detective."
Arthur flinched at her sudden roughhousing, but chuckled at her joke. "Yeah, you know. I do stand up comedy."
Sandy raised her eyebrow. "Really?" She said, brewing her coffee.
Arthur nodded, shyly. "Yeah. Tomorrow night will be my very first gig."
"Huh." Sandy stirred her coffee. "Save me a seat in the front." She winked, booping his nose.
Sandy walked out of the kitchen. Arthur's eyes followed her dreamily.
Sandy finally got into her routine according, putting on a seemingly different work uniform. Instead of matted and ripped purple violet blouse, it was a red and black velvet with a black satin skirt. It wasn't at all comfortable, but she had to make do. She put on black heels matching the overall theme of the outfit. When she was done, she found her cheap frame glasses, and gently placed them on her face.
Sandy walked back into the kitchen to give Arthur a small peck on his cheek.
"I'm heading out. Here's the spare key, just incase you want to lounge around here for today." Sandy placed a small key in his hand. "Try not to burn down the apartment." She giggled stepping out of the door.
Arthur's eyes never left her figure once. She looked so elegant when she walked. His hand gently touched the cheek where she kissed him. It left him breathless.
The gloomy office building seemed to be even more dull and dreary than usual. Sandy sighed sitting there in her small cubicle.
"Hey, did you hear about those subway killings?"
Sandy overheard two coworkers talking. Often times when she eavesdropped she would mostly hear some stupid gossip like she fucked or he fucked her etc, but this seemed serious.
"Yeah, I did. I hear they were employees of ours."
This caught Sandy's attention. 'Employees?' She thought. She continued listening intently.
"Wayne Enterprises?"
"Yeah, I hear one of them was Dennis Cullen."
Sandy's eyes widened. 'Dennis is dead?' Half of her celebrated the death of that bastard, but it just seemed wrong. She snapped out of her thoughts when a coworker knocked on Sandy's cubicle.
"Sandy, the boss wants you."
She took a long sigh. She got out of her chair and walked down to the boss's office.
"Needed me, Mr. Don?" Sandy asked, being as polite as she could be.
A large man looked up at Sandy from his paperwork.
"Yes, please take a seat." Mr. Don gestured to the two chairs in front of him.
"Why were you not here yesterday?" His voice sounded frustrated.
"Well, sir, I was really sick, yesterday and-"
Mr. Don cut her off with a glare.
"Look, I'm too bent on excuses. Now, as you may know, Dennis, your associate, has recently passed away. It's a shame, I know, but he had lots of clients. Since he's gone, you have to take after his clients." Mr. Don looked back down at his paperwork.
Sandy stood there dumbfounded.
"Wait. Shouldn't the person getting his position get his clients?" Sandy crossed her arms.
Mr. Don looked at her begrudgingly. "Well, yes, but there's still so many clients he had. Most are pretty upset by the current circumstances. Could you please do these few clients?" Mr. Don held a sudden desperation in his gruff voice.
Sandy gave a defeated sigh. "Alright. I'll see what I can do about the clients."
Dennis would always brag about his clients and how high maintenance they were. How he was so lucky to always have meetings with the one and only, Thomas Wayne. His position was completely up for grabs.
Sandy didn't want Dennis's stupid position. Not like she could ever get get it. She was a woman working 45 hours a week, yet being paid so little.
'Why the fuck did people get so angry over some dudes getting killed on a subway?' Sandy growled in her thoughts, as she walked out of the office building.
All day clients were yelling and screaming about how they furious they were for not getting their fucking products. It gave her such a headache.
Her heels tapped the wet pavement. The lights of bars and restaurants colored the numerous puddles on the ground.
As she was walking down the street, she felt a pair of eyes on her.
Crack.
She turned around. Her eyes monitored the alleyway next to her. She strutted ahead, continuing her path, while being on high alert.
Crack.
She heard it again. She started walking fast. As she did so, Sandy glanced behind her. It was a silhouette of a man walking fast. Her heart stopped. She kept walking faster, until she was gently jogging in her heels. She was almost to the subway.
The man had finally caught up to her, and gently tapped her shoulder.
Sandy froze. She turned around to face her stalker.
Arthur smiled gently, taking off the yellow hood of his hoodie.
She sighed in relief. "Oh, thank god. Arthur, it's just you." Sandy smiled at her supposed stalker. "I thought you were the subway killer."
Arthur raised an eyebrow. "Oh, yeah, so I've heard."
"How could you not? It's everywhere. Who cares about some assholes dying?" Sandy tapped around her coat. "Damn it." She hissed under her breath.
"Hey, Art." Sandy said, getting his attention.
Arthur tilted his head. "Hmm?"
"Do you think I can bum a cig?" Sandy asked, desperately.
"Uh, yeah sure." Arthur handed her a fresh cigarette.
Sandy lit the cancer stick, inhaling the dangerous smoke, then exhaling it out of her lungs.
"Thanks, Artie." Sandy smiled. "Say, you never told me why you were out here following me anyway?" She said, with the cigarette hanging out of her mouth.
Arthur looked down, almost like a guilty puppy.
"I, uh, was worried." Arthur said, twiddling his thumbs.
Sandy smirked. "Worried? Aww, Artie. You don't need to worry about me, sweets." Sandy pressed a small kiss on his cheek.
Arthur started fidgeting with the bottom of his hoodie. "Uhh, well, of course, I do, Sandy. It's dangerous."
Sandy giggled. "Ok, I guess you can walk me back to my apartment." She put out the cigarette, and linked arms with Arthur.
The subway was deserted. The florescent lights flickered on and off as the loud railings of the subway train moved by.
Sandy was seated by Arthur's side, leaning on him a bit. For Sandy, Arthur was like a breath of fresh air. He was so comforting and sweet. He listened to Sandy's problems, no matter how stupid they were to her.
"So, you're a party clown?" Sandy said, holding Arthur's hand in hers.
"Yeah, at least I was. I'm focusing more on my comedy career. I've got lots of jokes." Arthur put emphasis on the word lots.
"You said that this morning. Let me hear some of your jokes." Sandy said, interested.
Arthur eyes lit up.
"Oh? Let me get my joke book." Arthur reached into his back pocket and pulled out a worn down journal. Arthur gently handed the journal to Sandy.
Sandy flipped through a few pages of the journal.
"Well, what do you think?" Arthur asked, impatient. He looked pretty anxious.
Sandy laughed a little.
"How come poor people are so confused? They don't make sense." Sandy read, still laughing. "That's a stupid joke."
Arthur frowned. "Oh."
Sandy immediately corrected herself. "No, no, no. It's great, Arthur. You're gonna be great. I know it."
Arthur's frowned disappeared, and turned into a smirk. "You think so?"
"I know so, babe." Sandy kissed his nose.
"Could I look through your book more?"
Arthur nodded.
Sandy looked through each page, but there's one page that caught her eye. It had a polaroid picture of her with twisted writings all over the page.
Mrz. Sandy Fleck
Mrz. Sandera Fleck
MY dEaR, Sandy
Sandy's eyes read the page over and over again. Arthur began to look anxious.
The subway came to a stop.
"This is our stop." Sandy handed his journal back to him. "And, by the way, it's spelled S-A-N-D-R-A." She said, stepping out of the subway doors. Arthur followed behind her.

ARTICLE NO. 104 DATE 01/03/2022 THE JOURNEY CONTINUES……………
During my recent visit to Nagpur, I met one of my friends, Arti who is working in the same organization like mine. We know each other for 34 years. We have always stayed in touch with each other and try to catch up whenever possible. As usual, we were discussing spouse children for a while and then about ourselves, i.e. now since the children are grown up and we are having ample time, how are we using it. Arti has two children both are abroad.
She suddenly exclaimed, "Thank God! Corona is over, now we can dress up nicely and go to the office. " I also contributed, that initially work from home was nice but later it became more difficult, working in a nighty or normal dress without proper hairstyle, lipstick….. etc., on the appearance part and with a laptop, sitting on the dining table or be was really un-comfortable. Now we can dress up nicely, instead of lipsticks, we are wearing matching masks while going to the office.
Tumblr media
Now she added, “ I am just wondering what I will do after December 2022? “ I asked “ why, are you retiring this year? You look very young. Arti replied “Yes”, I will be completing 36 years of service., but you know Sandhya, I don’t want to retire.” She further added “ We all know that we have to retire, but now I am having a routine, and am engaged throughout the day. I am doing something positive, meeting people, what will happen to all this after December 2022. After seeing my relatives, friends suffer after retirement, I have made a plan and going to implement it. I am going to continue my journey of life and live for myself, will do whatever I feel like doing, will enjoy every minute ”
Friends, the reality is that the day we join the organization we know that we have to retire on such and such date. We join with a lot of dreams, accomplish a lot through our hard work and our work becomes our second home since we spend maximum time here. We get attached to materials and people around us and the day a person superannuates everything is left behind.
The present generation, reading the article and are above the 50s, I can say that most of them have never stayed in the house. They would have completed or might have been in the final year of graduation, they would have got a job. So the real stay in the house would have been only on occasions and maternity time. So suddenly one fine day the very thought of not going to office forever from tomorrow is going to matter a lot. Just give it a thought. Though the organization, friends, will remember you for all the good you have done, the actual fact is going and sitting in your place and doing the work is not possible.
Tumblr media
I was wondering what to say and Arti also understood it. She said,” Arvind ( her husband) has already told me that it is difficult to have a normal retired life unless you have a passion or some hobby which will keep you busy”. I said “ OK, so what have you decided?” Her instant reply was “ Since, the last 4 years, I am learning music and have passed several exams, also there are studios in Nagpur which invite singers to sing and every weekend I am busy recording my songs or going live on Facebook.” She took a pause and continued, actually, I wanted to learn singing from childhood but got an opportunity now only, I thought what a great way to keep engaged and pursue the passion."
After hearing all her dialogue, I concluded that Arti can keep herself busy post-lunch since she has to do the practice of music ( Riyaz) every day. For a performance, she has to practice the song several times. So her main issue was to keep herself busy in the morning.
Tumblr media
I became very curious to know, what was in Arti’s mind. I told her that she will have to keep herself busy in the morning. Post-lunch time is taken care of by music. To which she said that she spends 2 hours in the kitchen cooking for her husband, self, and Bruno ( her pet). Rest of the time she is free. I was really surprised at what Arti had to stay about using her morning time. She said that she has already taken admission to do the ‘Yoga Shikshak’ course. The duration of the course is one year. She will first learn and then go as an instructor. She is actually getting ready for her next journey starting from 1st January 2023.
Keeping fit is the most important thing and she would dedicate her time to doing this. She also added that our generation has to be fit because we have to take care of ourselves. Our parents had us but we are there for us. We should not depend on anyone, not even our children. She is planning to educate the ladies of 55 years and above on the importance of being physically and mentally strong through YOGA.
Tumblr media
After all this discussion we decided to go to our favorite eating joint, “ Haldirams” we had Rajkachori. I returned home happy, thinking how wise Arti is that she has already planned what she will be doing from 1st January 2023.
I was very happy to have met her. What a nice way to be prepared in advance for how to spend time after Superannuation. I recently read in an article that the expectancy age is 80 now. So after our Superannuation, we can continue our journey for 20 more years with ease. The only thing is that we should be ready with our plan and willing to explore.
Tumblr media
Finally, I would conclude by saying that our life is a journey and it continues whatever our age may be. There is so much in life to do.
I am very thankful to GOD for this wonderful life.

Your art is damned good. Here’s a suggestion for when you have the time: Idalia in some frilly lingerie, no doubt bought by Arthur ;^) If you aren’t feeling up for drawing, a one shot idea? It’s nearing Arthur’s birthday and he stumbles across a cute lingerie outfit online. He buys it for Idalia, in the hopes she’ll give him a nice show for his special day
Blue light illuminated the dark bedroom shared between the two lovers- one asleep soundly, her feet tangled with her boyfriend’s who laid with his laptop on his chest. His tired but intrigued eyes scanning down the screen of his computer. It was late but here he was, looking at lingerie for the woman beside him. But none had caught his attention yet. He looked over to Idalia, a faint smile tugging at his pale lips at her cute sleeping face. Arthur’s hand reached out to move some of her wavy hair out of her face. Heaving a soft sigh, he returned reluctantly to his search, determined to find the perfect nightie for his lover.
The search, thankfully, didn’t take much longer as a frilly, white shear lingerie came into view on a model similar to Lia. The tanned skin, wavy hair but not as light and short as hers, and face not as soft- models tended to have a rather serious face, you know the one. It was perfect for her. He could already imagine it on her…Arthur had to calm himself down and order the damned thing to be able to see it in person on time for his special day. Hopefully, Lia would agree to wear the garment for him.
Days passed, he went on without telling his girlfriend of the package he was expecting, that was until it arrived and the curious Italian woman brought it over to him. “Artie, is this a birthday present?” She asked reading his name on the box then raising a brow when she saw it was from ‘Sexywife.com’. A smirk tugged at the corners of his mouth as he rose from his seat, hands going to rest over hers on the box,“Kind of, love. It’s for you to hopefully wear for me.“ He leaned down, lips touching her forehead gently,“I saw it and thought ‘My beautiful Idalia would look stunning in this piece.’ So, I couldn’t resist ordering it.” Arthur muttered agaisnt her skin. The Brit pulled away to see her cheeky smile. Honey eyes glistening with interest in what the contents held underneath the cardboard. Without a moment to waste, she turned her back to him and padded off quietly into the bathroom to change. Not much time passed, but to Arthur it felt like an hour. He paced until he took a deep breath and sat himself down in a chair. Right at that moment, the door swung open and out walked Idalia. The white corset hugged her curvy body, intricate detail of the lace catching his emerald eyes. White lace panties did little to hide her sex from his eyes due to the contrast of her skin. His eyes trailed to her thick thighs, the fabric of the thigh highs a bit tight and causing some of her skin to flow over the lace. Arthur’s face was beat red, ears tingling with pink at the tips. He motioned her over with his hand and Lia walked over. “I’m taking you like your present?” She murmured, coming to sit on his lap and wrap her arms around his shoulders. Immediately, his lips were on hers in a feverish lust.
And that was the beginning of a long night for Arthur’s birthday.
