nobody could decide which stories they wanted me to share. they want me to share all of them 😭😭

i’ll start with jesus and john and why i think they’re gay for each other, supported by biblical evidence provided by Seton Catholic Homeschooling of America.

• i took this course in my tenth grade year. i was only homeschooled for 9th and 10th grade. i was public schooled before then, and later went to boarding school for my last two years of hs. but that’s another post.

this is a long post. buckle in. i’ll have it all below the cut

• i no longer have the textbook title, and only have pictures from this text book that i took in a delusional haze when reading this in my catholic mother’s household, hoping that she wouldn’t look through my phones photos to find these images.

this is all from a catholic standpoint, other forms of christianity are not accounted for. if you do not want to see GAY CONTENT ABOUT JESUS, move along

this post is about to unlock so much of my old hyperfixation on the catholic church that i had before leaving.

first of all, as backstory for those who don’t know john:

• john is one of jesus’ twelve disciples and wrote the Gospel of John (I, II, and III) which is a hella important book in the new testament (the second half of the bible.)

• the books of john tell the story of jesus’ life from birth to death. now, that’s kinda gay to write about another man that much, hmm.

• john has also earned the affectionate title of: “The Beloved Disciple”

• he is also traditionally credited with writing Revelations (also known as Apocalypse, which tells how the world is gonna end. fun right!!), though scholars are unsure if he wrote it, or a different john wrote it.

okay, now onto the gay stuff:

• most people jokingly ship judas and jesus because of the angst of judas’ betrayal to jesus. however, i disagree.

• though, knowing their ages, shipping jesus and john would be quite problematic these days, it was quite an acceptable age gap back then. jesus was around the ages of 30-33 at the time of his death, and john was a young adult, about 18. (yikes)

• my evidence begins with the way john writes about himself and jesus in the Gospel of John. in his gospel, he never calls himself john. you guys know what he calls himself in his gospel?? “the discipline whom jesus loved”

so far, all of this info is directly from my catholic textbook.

WOW! that page unpacks a lot. let me elaborate on the way john leaned up on jesus’ chest. first of all, that’s a real bible quote. let’s go:

John 13:23-25

• “23 One of his disciples, the one Jesus loved, was at the table to the right of Jesus in a place of honor. 24 So Simon Peter gestured to this disciple to ask Jesus who it was he was referring to. 25 Then the disciple whom Jesus loved leaned back against Jesus’ chest”

the passage then goes on to john (the disciple whom jesus loved) asking jesus who’s gonna betray him.

• to FURTHER add to this gay af moment, there are PAINTINGS of it, completed by MULTIPLE artists. i’m going to provide the image in my textbook, and then images found online that i particularly enjoy.

• if you are interested in finding hundreds more of images like this, all you need to type into google is “john leaning on jesus”. you’ll get the images you need. trust me

• those were my largest pieces of evidence, but there are smaller ones i’d like to share. the textbook helped “gay it up”. i think the author of this textbook was a closeted homosexual. cause no way did a straight person write this thinking “hmmm that’s totally platonic and not at all queer, cause that’s how i feel about MY best friend.”

this textbook had me GOBSMACKED. jaw DROPPED. WDYM THAT JESUS AND JOHN WERE DEFINITELY IN LOVE???

conclusion:

• i HIGHLY recommend you looking up more pictures of john laying on jesus.

• i think of john/jesus as canon. there’s too much evidence to support my point. including The Bible. judas/jesus is like what fanfics are for. they’re the pair that everyone wishes happened in canon, but the authors sucked, so it didn’t.

Queue Preview

The sort-of-bad news is I somehow ended up being hyperfixated on my screenshot collection today and spent 95% of my leisure time sorting, cropping, uploading, and captioning. Where did the time go?

The good news is that doing so kept my queue from running out this afternoon, and I now have 70 more screenshots ready to go. Seventy. Yikes!

So, here’s what to expect!

Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday:

My mage gets up to some trouble with a certain red-eyed prince as they test out her new legendary cloak and end up tracking mud Old God minions back into the Chamber of Heart. M.O.T.H.E.R. made them promise to wipe their feet better next time. That’s what you get when you trust the fate of the world to a snarky juvenile dragon and a mage who hasn’t set foot in a raid at all this expansion.

Then I finish unlocking dark iron dwarves. I got up to the part where it required a dungeon and ended up procrastinating for a new months, but I finished it now. Too bad I don’t have room for any dark iron alts...

There’s also a little night elf-related diversion to close out Wednesday.

Thursday and onward:

The debut of a new AU Adventures series! Who is the lucky lore character this time? Let’s just say it’s someone who shares a hair color with the previous series’ star, but would absolutely loathe the idea of having anything in common with him. (Or you could click here, where I kind of spoiled the surprise a month ago. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Nice job, me.)

Okay here we go! I have a LOT of otps but I’m just gonna do 10 cause, yikes. I was tagged by the amazing @twobrokenwyngs thank you SO much <33

1) OTP: You look amazing from Prodigal Son

This ship kinda snuck up on me. I was enjoying this show for what it was but then I was hit in the face with feels. I’m not sure if they’re going to actually end up in relationship but their small moments are very electrically charged with meaning (to the point where it encouraged me to write fic, and I usually don’t do that unless it’s serious lol) Also honestly, the moment Bright said “you’re the one I like talking to” put air in my sails.

2) OTP: I’m gonna teach you from Good Girls

I make jokes that it should probably be ‘I’m gonna shoot you’ but it always feels too soon ;) uh, I don’t know, these two everyone is probably into if you watch the show. They’re kinda the couple that you love to hate and really want together all at the same time. I think they could be SO GREAT with better communication. They definitely unlock something in one another and I’m not sure they’re going to get back on track (or if it’s even possible) but they’re still great to watch with one another.

3) OTP: My truest self from Sanditon

Ugh first of all? This is all because of Theo James and I am a fucking sap for period pieces, so I knew when I went into this that it (a: didn’t end well and b: wouldn’t stop me) was going to destroy me. I love the amount of emotion and conversations that are applied through touch and eye contact and period piece dances really do that. I also love Theo James playing an asshole character who was jaded about love that turned into him finding the love of his life (and yes, he loses her, but there are SOULMATE conversations that make it worth it). This bitch actually said “i believe I am my best self, my truest self, when I’m with you” and i cry every single time.

4) OTP: Just like me from Peaky Blinders

Just as the OTP title suggests, these two for me are different halves of the same coin. They bring something out in one another; two dangerous men that keep ending up working with one another. There’s a lot of backstabbing and bribes and miscommunication but they are the same and that’s how they thrive together. I feel like there’s not a lot of people Tommy truly trusts--but the fact that he shot Alfie and didn’t actually kill him and then knew he was alive and took care of his dog like--come on, that’s some soulmate shit. The one scene where Aflie is screaming in Tommy’s face is peak cinema and honestly, one of the most energized and arousing scenes like get a damn room. I’m really hoping they work together in the next upcoming season.

5) OTP: You’re not alone from Star Wars

I mean, the darkest dark meeting the lightest light only to realize that it’s actually BACKWARDS and that they’re fucking dyads in the force? Like fUCK OFF. Literally they are two halves of a whole and I’m all about that shit. I’m also suckers for tragic heroes and my trash son Kylo finding his redemption arc through Rey? Yessss, I’ll eat that shit all day.

6) OTP: A touch of destiny from The Witcher

There’s not much to say other a big grump who didn’t think he deserves love meets someone who’s on her own self-journey and they discover that they actually need one another. It’s beautiful.

7) OTP: End of the line from Marvel

I have nothing to say other than: when Bucky couldn’t even remember who he was, he remembered Steve--the man on the bridge. I have nothing to say other than: when Bucky went to ‘finish his mission’ Steve was going to let him pummel him because he was ‘with him until the end of the line’. s o u l m a t e s.

8) OTP: Isn’t that kinda the whole point from Supernatural

This one doesn’t really get old but these two have literally died and sacrificed themselves for the other that I can’t even get into fifteen seasons of examples. But they’re soulmate material, made of the same stuff, they are one another’s heavens. I love them more than myself. They’re also touchy as fuck.

9) OTP: Do I look like a freshman? from Glee

Once again, these two do not get old for me. The moment where Blaine felt wanted by Sebastian, I was sold. Granted, they don’t get developed very well across the show (that’s what fic is for) but I think if the writers would have actually given them a chance compared to shoving Klaine down our throats, they could have been something with some character development. Regardless, I still feel like what we got of Sebastian is ten times better than we ever got of Kurt--and that’s the tea.

10) OTP: Break you in two from The Originals

Klaus is one of my favorite male characters over the arc of The Vampire Dairies-- he’s so complex, a tragic hero and legit someone who struggles with wanting to be a good person and the demons he has that prevents him from doing that. Cami was someone who saw through that dark side and I knew the moment I saw her on the first episode of the show that I was going to love them. They go through a lot of soulmate moments, including the one in the gif mentioned above (basically, he says that no matter the situation, no matter how he would have ended up in New Orleans--that he would have found her). And even though Cami dies, Klaus promises to ‘carry her with him’, therefore always remembering her. I cry a lot.
