Adora found the perfect Christmas gift for Catra. They like to play fight to keep sharp but the kids don't enjoy it so much.

Finn and Mara coming out from hiding: “Mama we don’t wanna play anymore, you and mummy are too competitive.” Adora shoots them both with her nerf gun: “Aw I’m sorry, I’ll make you both eggnog once your mummy loses.” Catra snorts from behind the armchair: “I’m not gonna lose” Adora grinning: “Yeah you are baby” Kids roll their eyes and go to the kitchen to wait. Catra: “You better not be on the couch with your shoes on” Adora looks down at her feet: “Uhh no?” Catra shoots Adora in the forehead: “Never reveal your position Princess” Adora snorts and dramatically dies on the couch while Catra watches. She lays there for a few minutes while Catra picks up some of the nerf bullets before she rolls off the couch to stand and go to make the twins eggnog.

There is a wild Rook on the loose who is keeping track of the score and forcibly removing people from the playing field if they break the rules.

General rules; don't aim for the eyes or ears. And other than this and neutral ground, anything else is fair game. If you get hit 3 times you are out.

#Aka Emile is remembering going camping with his friends as a small child #And how fucking chaotic it was #We were just allowed to run wild over the whole campground because our group rented the whole loop and everyone was watching out for everyo #I still managed to cross like 2 roads when I was 5 and got lost and they weren't busy but a stranger still stopped me to ask if I was lost #And all the boys would bring their lightsabers and nerf guns and we would have whole battles #We even made little forts in the woods and stuff and we were fighting to protect the 'dragon' (friend's dog) #I was always either the spy or the doctor #There was also the time my brothers thought it would be really fun to tell me to just pee in the woods instead of walking me to the bathroo #I was delighted #My parents were not #And the swimming hole was cold as fuck but we somehow still got in it every year #And jump off the giant rock in the deep end of the river once we were good enough swimmers to handle the current #Once or twice we went tubing there too which was my first experience with that #And there was hiking with waterfalls nearby so we'd go do that #And that one swinging bridge that was really fun to run across #And we'd stay for like a week sometimes #I swear all the parents got the best sleep ever when we went too even though they were sleeping on the ground lmao #all us kids would end up in each others tents if they were okay with it #And all I can think looking back at it now is that a les amis kidfic would be fun to write off all that #Emile's chaos #I have so many more camping memories too

#to be clear this was a youth group students v. leaders battle #which meant that the leaders were greatly outnumbered by the kids HOWEVER #one of the leaders is Known for being hard to beat at nerf and laser tag. and I know which nerf gun to use and am #really really good at genuinely aiming with it. I'm basically the sniper of whatever team I'm on #however tonight we set up tipped over tables as obstacles and they're REALLY hard to see over or aim around #so at some point when it wasn't looking good for us leaders I decided it was time for a swan song. a glamorous sacrifice as it were. #I can aim REALLY WELL if I'm standing. so I got up and started walking and sniping and I got at least two or three out #before I got hit myself. #also it's an INCREDIBLE advantage to be one of the only people who DOESN'T have to wear a blurry clunky mask/goggles #because my glasses lenses are plastic already so I don't have to worry about that. Wait if Scourge is there when Breezepelt kills Fire then how does the little punk still LIVE. Scourge doesn't take that shit lightly. Also the image of Scourge gutting Breeze or even Onestar is kinda satisfying tbh but I don't really like either of them so. Please tell me Scourge at least scares the crap out of one of them after Fire's death, please.

Scourge is WRECKED when Firestar dies, and WOULD have sworn revenge, but he wouldn't dare disrespect his memory like that. He swore to abide by the Warrior Code while in Clan territory and abides by it undauntingly.

Not out of respect to the law obviously, but because Firestar hosts him on his own honor. So he would never shame his legacy.

Lucky for Breeze, he's also not known as the killer until after OotS when Scourge is dead. But there's plenty of opportunity for him to have a satisfying beatdown of one of the WindClan boys in the meantime.
