tessavirtue17: I am proud to support @kidsupfrontto and its #MoreThanATicket initiative 🎫🎟 <
@kidsupfrontto is a charity that breaks down access barriers to enriching cultural events for deserving kids and their families in the GTA. The program relies entirely on generous ticket donations from individuals and organizations to provide a wide range of live experiences to youth, from Raptors games to Jay-Z concerts, to Cirque du Soleil shows … and so much more. Attendance at events like these help foster feelings of inclusion, belonging and joy for kids, and immeasurably strengthens communities.
Like, comment, share and, if you’re so compelled, open up about your own first-ever event memory by using the #MoreThanATicket hashtag. To find out more about how to donate your unused tickets to Kids Up Front Toronto, visit www.kidsupfronttoronto.com 💙
has anyone ever pulled on the geminis ribbons in a fight?? like, those things look so dangerous imma be honest. wouldnt they choke them if they get pulled on????
Yeah, no, they are. They're attached to their capes rather than being directly tied around their necks, so pulling on it wouldn't necessarily choke them, but could definitely yank them off their feet... So it's not really the most ideal design for battle...
But they look soooooo pretty. The ribbons twirling around with them lends very well to their fighting style and the way they tend to move. And it's a very iconic look, and easily marketable... Sooooo... it got put on the outfits anyway. It just means that the Gemini have gotten very good at moving in such a way that the ribbons tend to stay close to their bodies and out of their opponent's reach, and have learned how to counteract if they do get grabbed. Just another challenge for them.
im eating chicken with a fork and it made me think about how great opposable thumbs are like if we didnt have opposable thimbs we couldnt turn a ring pop around while holding it or open ring pop wrapper or
Feel like one of the best ways you can convince someone that no, villains with compelling motives that have sad backstories are not terrible writing compared to straight up born evil villains who just want to kill everyone and be done with it, is to tell them that Warrior Cats writes born evil villains constantly while literally preaching “That’s how evil works, you can’t CHANGE, you’re either touched by demons at birth or you aren’t!” and it blows chunks
@demonfvcked is a hypocrite. First, she made fun of people's insecurities on her blog, and now spreading copypasta of false info and lies on anon herself. She's also the reason why her mutuals are always getting harassed. she's doing all this with her own anon off so she doesn't have to face any consequences. And even with all this, she has a huge following to back her up. She's basically using her followers as her shield, knowing they'll defend her no matter what. She only goes after people she thinks are gullible so she can stay on top, relying on her brainless followers for support. Without her followers, she's nothing. But instead of owning up to her actions, she plays the victim card and refuses to admit when she's wrong, just like how she never admitted to using her mom's death to tag someone's url.
I think trying to sort every gay person on earth into either the category of 'monosexual' or 'multisexual/mspec' is silly and just a very reductive approach to attraction
These are some super quick doodles, am in art block rn :| still working on the designs too :))
IT'S THEM!! IT'S THE LITTLE GUYS!!!! :DDDDDDD
it is 7:30 in the morning and i have just woken up but let me tell you when i laid my eyes upon these little dudes i ascended from my bed and had an 'aimsey after seeing bubbline kiss' moment (view gif above)
i simply cannot express how in awe and thankful i am. like, these may just be some super quick doodles and you may still be working on the designs BUT THEY'RE STILL MY LITTLE GUYS AND THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL. seriously, thank you. the fact that your read my silly little fic and went "yeah, i'd like to draw these guys" and then DID?? absolutely wild to me. and so freaking cool– like, actually insanely cool.
i adore the expressions you gave them too!! like how tubbo looks so utterly done with the world (which is fair tbh) and ranboo is, like, almost scared to be alive?? at least that's how i interpret it and i think that's adorable.
again, thank you so so so much!! putting how awesome and cool this is to me into words when my brain is hardly awake is a little difficult, but just know that this is the only thing i will be looking at and thinking about for who knows how long and– oh shoot is that my printer haha so weird how my printer is uh... printing something haha i wonder what it could be ^_^;
my playlist was getting kind of stale so my options were either remove a load of songs from it or just make a new one. for some reason my entire mental state can change based on a playlist, and the vibes are not stable enough atm to make a new one, so I just removed like half the songs. but now I regret doing that to my playlist I feel like I've removed some of her vital organs :(
and I can easily add all of them back but the date they were added will never be the same :(
I'm up to the "I dunno maybe children working 13 hour shifts is bad, guys" part of Capital and it feels important to inform people that haven't read it yet that capitalists in the 19th century were not by any means wringing their hands and twirling their mustaches about employing children to squeeze out profits, they were hiring "experts" to write newspaper articles for them, explaining how "well, the socialists have these big demands about an 8-hour work day, and taking Saturdays off, but it's actually just so complicated, it's too complicated for most people to understand, we just NEED to hire children for night shifts because the stamina of their strong, youthful bodies is the only way we can survive as a business! It's science, you see. Economics doesn't work like that, just ask our economics professors at Oxford. You CAN'T turn a profit only working people 8 hours! Trust the experts, they know. It's just so complicated..."
That exact infuriating cadence that you read in New York Times articles, in the Atlantic Monthly, in the WaPo and all the other bourgeois rags where "everything is so complicated, and it's actually a lot more complicated than you think.." that has been around since the beginning. It is nothing new. So the next time you see some op-ed from Matt Yglesias or any of those other guys huffing their own farts about how "complicated" everything is, and how "unrealistic" a 30-hour work week is, remember that Marx was dealing with that exact class of "intellectuals" "explaining" how working 13 hours at age 10 was "vital" to the "moral fibre" of those poor kids.
