anyways this chapter made me emotional abt sakunatsu when i had literally never cared about them before past sakura not wanting to be around natsuhiko. but with the context of this chapter it feels all the more sad--sakura cares about him it seems, which adds context to both her wish and her relationship with natsuhiko who seems to be the only human in the group (?) and the only one she has a personal connection to (apart from her seeming friendship with tsukasa, but theres also the contract there).

with the case of natsuhiko im wondering if the reason shes always trying to ignore him and push him away is because if she does grow to care about him, it'll make her endgame goal that much harder, in that she'll lose pretty much her only friend and the one who cares about her most--which is even more tragic, as we directly see in this chapter that she acknowledges this. natsuhiko is self-destructive as FUCK here for the sake of sakura, and she's upset by this--she knows that natsuhiko is willing to perhaps even die to have sakura's wish come true (like ofc he knows he's never gonna go on a ''date'' with her, since he knows that there's no way he'll survive.)

sakura doesn't want to let herself become attached to natsuhiko, because after 100 years of waiting for her wish to be granted, this catboy ass is going to get in her way with her silly human emotions? no way! unless...

they are making me upset goodbye.
