Who would call Captain Janeway “mom”

Harry Kim: completely on accident and apologizes like 97 times.

Tom Paris: definitely of purpose and plays it off like a joke.

B’Elanna Torres: would sarcastically say “Okay mom…” under her breath when leaving the conference room.

Seven of Nine: Does not understand why someone would call her “mom”. -has mommy issues from the Borg Queen-

Tuvok: Would never call her “mom”, thinks of her like a reckless little sister, but probably never admit it.

The Doctor (EMH): She is not his mother, he doesn’t have one, and he’d never mis-speak, he is a top of the line Emergency Medical Hologram after all.

Neeilx: Wouldn’t call her mom per say but does think of her like the mom of Voyager.

Kes: Does think of her like a mom and thinks she’d make a great one someday, Kes has told Janeway this and she teared up.

I love Naomi Wildman I can only imagine how kickass she’ll be as an adult, fuck even among other kids

She was raised to be cautious of adults if they began acting oddly, and knows adults— even captains— are fallible and able to be under the influence of greater powers.

Those who raised her have done a fairly incredible job balancing giving her duties and autonomy while letting her be a kid and have fun.

Not only that but she’s had the most diverse world views and experiences out of any kid in the alpha quadrant and knows that it makes her own world view all the more kinder.

She knows that sometimes command structure fails, sometimes it’s all that keeps a community alive. She knows just how different other beings can be, yet also knows that there’s a common “humanity” and respect to give them and their identity. She can survive on her own yet fiercely values the ever-malleable definition of what family can be!!!

Headcanon that Seven of Nine and Naomi actually find Neelix’s cooking to be fine because it’s the only food they’ve ever eaten/their first introduction to food and when they get to Earth everyone’s so excited to show them Alpha quadrant foods but neither of them likes anything they’re offered very much. Seven doesn’t really care either way except that she has to get used to a whole new palette and Naomi likes the obvious (Ex: candy, cake) but frequently complains that nothing tastes ‘right’. Naomi: -pushing away a slice of pizza- I don’t like it... Tom: You’re kidding me. You don’t like pizza? Naomi: It doesn’t taste right! Make it how Neelix used to. Tom: You want me to put gerhalorian beets and yuk mushrooms in the sauce so it congeals into a lumpy, slightly sour mess? Is that what you want, Naomi? Naomi: Yeah :(  I want Naomi and Icheb to work tirelessly together on a side project for years until finally doing it - being able to communicate clearly with those in the Delta quadrant! Icheb uses it to speak to the other borg children (now adults) and Naomi immediately uses it to call Neelix and ask him to find the nearest time portal and toss a big box of leola root into it. She’s been craving it for years! No one told her the Alpha quadrant didn’t have leola root, she wouldn’t have gone otherwise!

If ship captains have the power to marry people, do they also have the power to divorce them?

Voyager had to have at least one couple that married and divorced three times. Janeway doesn’t even blink when they come in to ask her to marry them again. But she does make them do premarital counseling with Chakotay because if she’s going to suffer through this so is he.

There are couples she wants to divorce, and if they kept going in the DQ, she would’ve ordered them to divorce, damn the consequences.

She doesn’t even care about marrying people, but Neelix throws the best parties for weddings.

Marriage is a weird thing in the DQ because they could die any day so they don’t always build good foundations for marriage. And not every relationship needs to end in marriage.

There’s a betting pool on who will be the next to get married and the next to get divorced. Tuvok started it. He and T’Pel are listed, and if she were on board, he’d bet on them so they could divorce and split the extra rations. They would immediately remarry after collecting their winnings.

Admiral Janeway tells Captain Janeway that Seven and Chakotay get married in the future to collect on some 250-to-1 odds. She sacrifices herself before anyone can catch on.

Naomi Wildman is the flower girl in every wedding whether the couple has a traditional one or not. She also brings flowers for divorces.

Neelix’s divorce parties are legendary. They always start out awkward, but by the end of it, the exes are singing Billy Joel together. Q has crashed four divorce parties.

Harry has been Man of Honor and Best Man 17 times. He gives the best toasts.

Tom and B’Elanna fight over who gets to have Harry by their side.
