One thing I've observed about a lot of character polls on Tumblr is that the characters listed aren't really connected by genre or demographic of audience for the media they're from or anything, but more by seemingly nothing other than the likely fact that whoever made the poll happened to be someone who knows and likes both of these characters.

Oftentimes, unless the poll was specifically oriented around a certain theme or topic (like "best yuri protagonists" for instance), odds are, the person who made the poll is one of a relatively small group of people that makes up the overlap between these two fandoms. So, that doesn't leave "a bunch of people who vote on which of the two characters they like more," but rather four groups

Group A (smallest group): people who are familiar with both media sources and know both characters

Group B: People who know one of the characters but have never heard of or know very little about the other character

Group C: Same as group B, but other character

Group D (biggest group): People who do not know either character and thus do not vote (unless they fat fingered their phone touchscreen)

Group A will be the only ones actually voting for the character they like more. Group B and C, however, will not vote for the character they like more, but rather for the character they know. They don't know who the other character is, and they're not gonna do their homework for a tumblr poll, so why would they do anything else?

So, the end result of these polls is oftentimes not a measure of which character is more liked, but rather, which character's fandom is bigger.

Her entire Job is gaslighting. She is tasked, without powers, with murdering a bunch of super powered people. She does this by telling them she has (faulty) mind reading and then just using body language to read them. She's constantly lying her ass off to lure people into traps, planting fake evidence to accuse others, and withholding all kinds of information, to try and stay alive while Literally getting away with murder.

Elias Bouchard/Jonah Magnus

(spoilers for tma) jonah magnus is a 200 year old victorian man who survives by possessing people by replacing their eyeballs with his own

"So afraid of dieing that he figured out a way to steal other people's bodies by taking their eyes out and putting his in. He also killed an old man with a metal pipe in a labyrinthine underground tunnel system because the old guy was gonna reveal his evil plan to soon. He then proceeded to frame his absolute wet cat of a man employee for said murder and got away with it for like an entire season of the show. He then got put in time out (jail), but still managed to fuck with everyone from there. Then proceeded to start the literal apocalypse using one of his employees (the one he framed for murder) as the lynchpin. (Note: Could be combined with Elias Bouchard, the identity of his current body and who he is referred to as for the majority of the podcast. The names tend to be sometimes used interchangeably either the fandom.)"
