PS: how epic was this Monday morning whale shark free diving session?! This is the only way you can do it without orange life vests, info on Stories too! Thank you so much, this support will mean the world to me!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏 You can find it on Amazon under “Yes, I’m a Woman and I’m Traveling Alone”! Will also link it on my Stories!
Snapseed tutorial 2020 plus#
That being said.there is a lot of my personal life in there too, including foreign flings and a secret 4 year relationship 🤦‍♀️ plus what was really going on when I went viral for the first time.įor anyone who buys the pre-sale you will also get access to a password-protected page on my blog that has corresponding photos for each chapter as well as additional content!įor anyone who leaves a review on Amazon and shares my book on here, you’ll get my Map Necklace and additional access to private book readings! It is very real and very raw.you will likely remember the trips I talk about in the book but will have had no idea what was actually going on unless you read it! This is basically the prequel to the first book I started writing which starts around the time I went nomadic at 28 (due to audience feedback), and is about 26 year old me, who thought she was “too old” to travel solo, but went anyway, and how that one trip turned into a never ending life of traveling and hustling to make money to achieve my dream of being a travel blogger! If you’ve been here from the beginning, or if you have ever wondered how I started this life of getting paid to travel the world, making a living out of living, or if you want a bunch of juicy travel stories, please get it book!! #phototips #xcaret #xcaretparks #rivieramaya #mexico #mexicolife #mylifesatravelmovie #traveltips #playadelcarmen #tulum #getyourguide FOR MY BOOK ARE LIVE ON AMAZON!! How’s this for a pre-sale launch video? 😜 Unrelated: MY BOOK IS AVAILABLE IN 9 DAYS!!!
Snapseed tutorial 2020 full#
My favorite photo spots I found were in a butterfly garden (a full on waterfall), by the ocean where they made little pools, and a lagoon area behind the dolphin prison which maybe no one goes in because it’s green and likely filled with dolphin poo 😬ītw, plz do not support caged dolphin encounters.Īnyway! The best pricing you’ll find for all the Xcaret parks is on ! Be sure to make sure to check if they include transportation as well! If there are less-popular areas, GO THERE! If everyone is eating lunch, go to literally everywhere that’s usually crowded and eat later. If everyone does the underground river first, do it last (unless you get there as soon as the park opens). My tip for popular parks like this is to go the opposite direction of what most people would do or what the park suggests. I always look for the places that no one is going to, which should seem obvious, but you’d be surprised 😂 This park was super crowded yet none of these photos had people-removals! Secret epic photo spots at super crowded places like Xcaret! I sacrificed lots of awkward moments trying to film myself holding a phone up backwards, so you better show me some awesomely edited travel photos!!
Snapseed tutorial 2020 how to#
So if you’re interested in learning how to edit travel photos in an extremely quick and easy way, please take 6 minutes to watch the video that I made for you. Snapseed was actually recommended to me by a real photographer, and I’ve had lots of fun tweaking the settings and filters to create my own hybrid of semi-professional, semi-looks-like-a-fairytale type photos. Since a lot of people ask how I edit my travel photos, I decided to finally make a quick tutorial showing the typical process I do using a free phone app called Snapseed ( no this post isn’t sponsored by them, yes I think it should be) . Oh, and by “properly”, I mean “easily adjust a few things on a basic photo editing app”, so don’t worry if you have absolutely no idea where to even start with editing. Unfortunately most of the cool stuff you see with your eyes, doesn’t always get captured by your camera, UNLESS you know how to properly edit travel photos.

Since summer is technically “over” but not really bc I’m in LA, I decided to do a 180 switch up this week while I’m binge-working to reminisce about Antarctica last December, which is the number one adventure you guys said has been your favorite of mine! 🇦🇶 ❄️🐧 . Just in case you weren’t here the before December to hear my non-stop obsession with getting to Antarctica (and my 7th continent before I turned 30), it was the number one destination on my bucketlist, and hands down the most exciting, memorable experience I’ve ever had! . It took me 4 years to convince an expedition company that it was a good idea to allow a blogger/influencer on the journey - most said millennials aren’t their target audience but I was determined to prove that wrong, and I somehow ended up convincing 5 other adventurous souls to come with me! . I guess now is also a good time to announce that I have my Antarctica video up on YouTube and alllllll the posts on my blog! Check mi Stories for links! . Who else has Antarctica on their bucketlist?! (And wants to make a point to say it so expedition companies start offering more affordable options??😜) . #bucketlist #bucketlistslayer #antarctica #7thcontinent #trailblazer #mylifesatravelmovie #alyssaramostravels #travelblogger #travelinspo (at Antarctica) https://www.instagram.com/p/BnUFYVMlr2U/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=op06mslcivo6

Ceremonial Ostrich Fan of Tutankhamun
This ceremonial fan originally held ostrich feathers. It is made of wood covered with sheets of gold and inlaid with colored glass, turquoise, lapis lazuli, carnelian, and translucent calcite.
The handle is inset with gold bands at intervals. The palm of the fan is decorated with the king’s twin cartouches, which are protected by vultures wearing the White and Red Crowns of Upper and Lower Egypt, respectively.
Several signs are represented: “Was” symbolizing “dominion”; the Shen, symbolizing “eternity”; the “Nebu,” meaning “gold”; and Pet, for “sky.” From the Tomb of Tutankhamun (KV62), Valley of the Kings, West Thebes. Now in the Egyptian Museum, Cairo. JE 62000

Tumblr media
Instagram
Tumblr media

#Repost @egyptology_misr • • • • • • Luxor Museum Golden Flies of Queen Ahhotep I Necklace of Queen Ahhotep I, or Iah (“peace of the moon”), the mother of Ahmose I. The fly symbolized tenacity, this ceremonial necklace given as award for valor in battle. This necklace, with three pendants in the form of flies, was given to queen Ahhotep by her two sons Kamose and Ahmose in gratitude for her supportive role during the struggle for liberation against the Hyksos. The presence of this type of gold jewelry, which corresponds to a military decoration bestowed upon military leaders for their courage in the battle field, is unique in a queen’s collection. It is made of stylized flies formed of plaques of gold with two bulging eyes and an open work body. Second Intermediate Period, 17th Dynasty, ca. 1560-1530 BC. From Dra’ Abu el-Naga’, West Thebes. ‏‎One hundred years ago today King Tutankhamun’s tomb was discovered in Luxor, Egypt. We celebrate this monumental discovery with a painting by Johannes Weninger, stonemason at the Epigraphic Survey, which depicts an Egyptian workman holding the “mannequin” of Tutankhamun (JE 60722), a life-sized model of a torso and the head of the king. In the words of the artist: “I found it inspiring to see a contemporary Egyptian carrying the bust of the king of his ancestors. I felt as if historic boundaries suddenly blurred and no longer existed. The photograph that was possibly taken by Arthur Mace and published in a recent book by Christina Riggs “Photographing Tutankhamun” served as the inspiration for this painting. It originally had more figures, but I choose to paint just one and the bust, to show the almost intimate relationship of a man and the bust of the king. By painting this scene, I wanted to capture the long-lasting relation between people who have lived, and live among Luxor’s ancient ruins, tombs, and temples. The people who are the descendants of Ancient Egypt. Looking at the various depictions of Tutankhamun I constantly see the faces of my colleagues and neighbors with whom I share my life in Luxor.”

One of the most popular pieces found in Tutankhamun’s tomb is his golden throne made of gilded wood and decorated with colored glass and semi-precious stones. The focal point of the throne is the decorated scene on the back. It shows the royal couple under the rays of the solar disk. Tutankhamun is seated on his throne and wears an elaborate headdress and jewlery. Tutankhamun’s wife, Ankhesenamun, is shown standing while applying perfumed ointments to his skin from a cup in her hand. The queen also wears an elaborate crown and jewelery.

Tutankhamun’s body was buried in a quartzite sarcophagus which held three coffins: the outer, middle and innermost. This one, the middle gilded coffin, is made of wood before being inlaid with multicolored glass. The king is shown crossing his arms, holding the crook and flail, while a band of hieroglyphs rests vertically on the lower part. Incredibly, Carter found this coffin covered by a red linen shroud topped with dry garlands of flowers.

Ushabti of King Tutankhamun This gilded ushabti is an image of the young king Tut wearing the Blue Khepresh Crown of ceremonies and processions and the uraeus. It is adorned with a broad collar cut in gold leaf and the two insignia of Osiris. The ushabti, or funerary, figures were intended to perform work in the place of the deceased in the afterlife. They were usually made of faience, wood, or pottery and were various sizes. They were divided according to their functions and to the Egyptian calendar as follows: 365 workmen, each for one day of the year, and 36 overseers, each as a chief of a week of ten days or ten workers. In the tomb of Tutankhamun, 12 supplementary foremen were added, one for each month, totaling 413. From the Tomb of Tutankhamun (KV62), Valley of the Kings, West Thebes.
