Seal Rings! Most of the rings I saw had a "Khepri", which was a scarab representing a rising Sun god. It was sign of fertility and rebirth for Egyptians, and that belief comes from the fact that the scarab beetle pushes through the desert an excrement ball where it previously deposited its eggs, until a point where newly born scarabs start to come out! Watching that event must be intriguing, new life coming from "nothing" - self creation! Because of this, they associated it with the daily self rebirth of the Sun. These rings are named "Seal Rings" because in fact they are stamps! they have a spinning axis, one side of the ring has a sculpted stone/gold/cloissone beetle and the other side a personal insignia for printing in clay. After my study of Nubian history and through many researches in it. I found that there is an absent episode in the history of the Nubian civilization. So I and a group of my colleagues decided to take an adventure to find this ring. We went to Egypt and it was a surprise. After I spent 45 years of my life studying the Nubian civilization, and after I became fluent in the Nubian language as well as its people, the Nubian civilization is not a civilization in the correct sense, but rather an attempt to imitate the Egyptian civilization, and that the first civilization known to humanity were the pharaohs of Upper Egypt, and they ruled Egypt and Palestine to the borders of Iraq in the east and Abyssinia in the south And that the origin of the Nubian civilization is derived from Egypt. At the beginning, we were looking for the antiquities of the Egyptians in Sudan, then we became convinced that the ancient history of Egypt makes the Sudanese civilization a mere subordinate and not an independent civilization. Posted @withregram • @egyptology_persian Pectoral of Sheshonq I The inscriptions on the ends of the solar boat on this gold pendant encrusted with lapis lazuli and glass paste state that it belonged to Sheshonq, the son of Nimlot. This could have been Sheshonq I, the founder of the Twenty second Dynasty, and therefore the pendant would have been inherited by his son Sheshonq Il in whose tomb it was found. It’s an image of a solar barque sailing across the primordial waters below a starry heavenly vault. A solar disc is shown in the center of the boat with a depiction of the goddess Maat standing beside the god Amun-Ra-Horakhty (partly shown) seated on a throne. At the end of the barque stands Maat with winged arms outstretched towards the sun disc. In her right hand she holds a plume (a symbol of truth, justice, harmony, morality, righteousness, order, and cosmic balance). In the left she holds a hieroglyph composed of the nefer sign (a symbol of perfection or completeness), the Wadjet-eye (a symbol of eternal rebirth), and the neb basket (the word used for 'all' or 'every', and 'lord' or 'master'). New Kingdom By the New Kingdom, broad collar necklaces were the most frequently worn pieces of jewelry among the royalty and elite in ancient Egypt. This necklace belonged to one of three foreign wives of Thutmose III.
