SO, a new sanders sides ep came out and we all are losing our shit. I literally rejoined the fandom before the hiatus, so this just brought all my excitement back.
However, instead of rambling how I usually would do, I wanted to give my opinion about all that thing of Orange being passion. It's totally OK if you think different! We respect headcanons and theories in this household.
With that said, I don't think that Orange is passion. That's Roman pals! I think they even say it in the first eps. That's why he and Logan crash sm.
I'm alll in for the wrath theory, because there were a lot of arguments to support it since a loooooong time. But, after WTIT, and that scene that we all know, I think it's crystal clear. The emotion there was anger, wrath, fury, etc. Thomas was mad with Nico and Logan with Remus (well, actually with Thomas and the others, but we'll just ignore the Angst until the finale for our sanity ;) ).
I think "passion" was just a way to reference Orange's influence and the anger whitin Thomas subtly. Think of it; if Patton had said anger, it would have been to literal and weird. They're blocking anger from Thomas's consciousness, they won't just point it out in front of him!
So that's why I don't think orange is passion. But, as I said, you can think however you want!

i think travis implied that beef got into some criminal activities in his past life because of his gambling addiction and was specifically pressured into doing so. so naturally i would love for him to meet someone from that past life in the child prison for criminals layer

Musing/ramblig a little extra on Equal Rites, but with more comical curiosity of how I might handle something like that subject matter.
Because, it's all well and good to say that what you call yourself and what you are are two very different things. Esk can call herself a woman and a wizard, and she can call herself a woman and a witch, and she can really call herself whatever she wants and whatever else she wants because she knows what she's doing (more or less).
But if I were approaching a world where all wizards are men and all witches are women, would I just let a character that wanted to cross between those lines merely transition? Because, really, what is easier? Is it simpler to say that sex and gender (essentially man/woman and wizard/witch) are unalterable fixtures of "reality" but people can use magic to put themselves in either box, or is it simpler to say that rather than fit in a designated box a character can alter the "reality" of their world to suit their own needs?
And I was thinking about this and joking to myself that "well, if Esk wanted to be a wizard she could have just made herself into a boy using magic... And heck, that'd be funny, wouldn't it? A world where you pick your school of magic and that determines what sex you have to be... Because wizards need a wand and witches need a cauldron..." And I realized midway through that, that (along with that joke leading to the opposite side of the spectrum of what I would be going for) this was something Pratchett would have thought of. Hell, I'm almost certain he did. He let Esk do a molecular rearrangement of different materials because she could, real transmutation, but he made it clear as well that she was a woman and didn't want to change who she was to be what she wanted to be. And I'm realizing now that Equal Rites was far more nuanced than I gave it credit for. It isn't just about defying gender roles, it's a firm statement that it really doesn't matter what you are--you should be able to pursue your own happiness regardless of whatever form you take (provided you aren't a nightmare creature from the dungeon dimension).
So, maybe, it might have been funny to say that with that level of powerful magic people would be transing themselves frequently and it would make for interesting hijinks at some kind of magic academy. But it would also take away a lot of the power of self-determination in that narrative. If you can flip flop back and forth with complete biological precision and choose which sex you are depending on the weather, there are no stakes (unless someone got pregnant, and then it becomes an entirely different sort of novel). Realistically, if people can gain basically unlimited power over their own bodies of course they'd do some weird and experimental stuff. Changing sex would be so basic that no one would talk about it (in an entirely different train of thought I'm thinking back to my childhood with the makeover mage in runescape, and how it was such an accessible service that no one talked about it).
I've rambled off course.
What I'm trying to get at is it may well be easier to write a world where magic can change your sex to whatever you want whenever you want. Writing a world where perhaps you could do that, but it isn't the ideal works better. It is better to have a world a character alters instead of altering themselves. Because, at the end of the day, the character is still the same character no matter what box you present them in. Sure, they can learn and grow, but changing the box doesn't really change who the character is. Changing the world changes everything. It's harder to do, just like real life, but it's the ideal. We, as real people, don't want to change ourselves to fit the world, we want to change the world to fit us so that we can be who we want to be.

ramblig abt human geog finalk project
for the love of god someone get me out of here how do you write coherent thoughts okay its just you have the introduction paragraph and then something about the okay the issue is how does a news article and you have to start with a news article for your hook so its like ok so this news article is about settler colonialism and when i and then i define that and somewhere in there talk about the well do i have ok because theres industry which is in this case an arm of capitalism (arm? product of? ??) which is the Power that’s informing the Place so its like ok right you have the god why is this hard to put into straightforward thoughts its like ok the land is exploited because it is profitable and the way in which it is exploited and mishandled perpetuates this system and allows for other aspects of ?capitalism? to manifest through wealth disparities and negative impacts on the ecology which are beneficial to capitalists because 1. obvs weath disparities are benficial and 2. taking the time to develop and invest in permeable road surfaces is less profitable than just putting what the fuck ever in asphalt and not bothering to do actually Good or Ethical urban planning until the late 2010s(?) and none of my leftist mutuals make fun of me forthis okay my brain is melted and i have to present this as like a web site for college
because its like the okay since the conception of america there has been transportation infrastructure but roadways for personal automobiles are the peak of that solidification and  . . ...  .. its the most egregious form of it? so much land used and for what? in such a toxic way(water runoff wouuld you like to think about water runoff from roads with me)? while doubling as a scalpel through peoples communities? so its like the shaping of the land is. sorry for sounding stupid is any of this salient i can conceptualize it in my head but words are FUCKED
i mean its like bc infrastructure and power themselves are not inherently bad its just when theyre informed by . everything america is informed by . thats the point of this

if u end up writing the matt rebel fic i WILL READ IT 😭😭😭 the bom and coalition ideologies crashing is so. delicious content because the bom being mainly galra impacts their "mission over individual" sacrifice bs. i sort of interpreted it as a weird empire guilt thing 💀 like they wanna get it over with but kolivan did sort of reprimand keith for being toooo reckless n sacrificial so idk 😭 but yeah i just know the rebels would see the bom as a weird cult 💀😭 ozar and kolivan fighting would b so fun. olia too actually 😭 anyways don't mind me just ramblig in your ask box hahahaha speaking of yapping i reckon slav and matt had met in prison when matt was in beta traz i just know te-osh left slav behind cause he wouldnt shut up 😔😔😔😔😔
Oi, thank you :)
You can always ramble in my ask box.
I just have a small correction. Matt wouldn't be able to meet Slav in Beta Traz because that's not where Matt was held at. Beta Traz was meant to hold one single prisoner. That prisoner being Slav. Matt and other prisoners were likely in one of the many other Prisoner Ships. Not as highly guarded as Beta Traz was.

I always wondered at as to why Rhaegar thought prophecies are a real phenomenon. To the best of our knowledge he never did witness magical events or confirmation that prophecies do come true in his current timeline or even a generation previous..?
I mean people like Davos, BwB, Daenerys etc believe in magic and prophecies precisely because they have witnessed miracles, magic and prophecies come true. It makes sense why they think about it and believe in it.
Rhaegar had nothing except coincidence here and there he was determined to think as prophetic and a big disaster during his birth on place of something magical. Did he came to conclusion that he is the dragon who would be born in Summerhall, too? One would think he would learn in that case a bunch of people can be fatally wrong about prophecies and hence should be more cautious and shouldn't put store in it to determine one's life??
Ideas like these make me realize how reckless and over confident he actually was tbh. He wasn't as foreward thinker and a careful planner even on the matters of magic beside his political failings as we believe .
