In this space 5 tape recorders are placed - each play a tape with sounds from the archives of Les Horribles Travailleurs. A space can be redefined. A presence can be realised. A fusion of sound and space.
Still: 「I wrote the lyrics half while in 10th year Chemistry class and half while crying in my little sister's bed on her death anniversary. Unsurprisingly, it's about the grief and trauma of losing a loved one too soon from an accident and my grip on reality slipping as I struggle to come to terms with the emptiness and hopelessly cling to a ghost, and also bottling up feelings. Or something. This is still (hehe) my favourite of our songs because it's really special to me, but we're never quite satisfied with how it sounds, so there are like 5 different versions of it, and there are parts of it that make me cringe so I rewrote it in Dutch, haha. As the later versions are not out, here is the GIRL version. That iconic guitar riff is the jingle that plays on my ACNH island.」

Parasomething: 「OK so that fungus that makes ants crawl to a high place to die and then grow tendrils to spread more fungus that fungus you know that fungus???
ok so now take that and turn it into a metaphor about a toxic/abusive relationship where the singer wants to be free of them but is pretty much already under their SO's control so can't fully let them go and desperately want their attention」

A Word to the Wise: 「it's the opening song to a musical called 'adamandi' and it deals with toxic student culture and its SO GOOD i have it memorised please i dont have the hands to do an essay just listen to it its amazing and someone wrote the lyrics to it. if i could id submit the entire musical」
'Ik hoop maar niet dat de liefde kunstmatig is
Want we drinken wijn of het water is
En ik vind het fijn en dan schaadt het niet
En zij kust mij, dus ze haat me niet, toch?
(...)
En ze kust me
't Is het eerste dat ik echt voel in een half jaar
Dus ik wil dat ze hier blijft
Hier mag niets tussen'
Help me raise the streams of my friend's song through the roof!
hi tumblr, i need your help! My best friend has just released a song and streams are already going quite well, but this banger has the potential for sooo much more! one Belgian radio station has already picked it up, but we'd like to take over all of them 😎 the song's in Dutch and called Brandgevaar (which means 'fire hazard' 😏), lemme know what you think and please stream and share!
Een partituur lezen is voor echte muziekanten! Wij gingen er ook mee aan de slag en tekenden de muziek op papier. Eerst moesten we voorbereiden en bewogen we op de muziek met onze handen en armen. Daarna kwam het op papier!
Rum and Cigar: 「Listen. LISTEN. I am the ONLY fucking views on like HALF of his music on youtube, and on a good chunk of the rest of it there was only one single lonely view before me. He has an avg 10 monthly spotify listeners (tho i dont use spotify, it just showed up when i googled his name). Apparently yt music doesnt add to normal youtube statistics, but I like his music and I have literally NOBODY to talk to about it 😭 I stumbled across him completely by accident, and it was this song, and it's still my favourite (tho Revy and Underbart Kaos are also up there). Technically it's a christmas song, but it's so interesting and not traditionally christmas-y and I love it. It has a nice latin beat and it's one of those groovy fun depressed songs lol (sound vs lyrics). Please PLEASE give him a chance even tho there is absolutely zero chance anyone else is going to submit him. Unless my rec a while back on a popular tumblr post asking for obscure music actually reached someone but I doubt it. I will champion this old swedish man even if nobody else will!! I have no idea about how many listens it has on spotify, and youtube music doesn't give stats, but the youtube video for this song has only 94 views, so surely in the limits even with the other platforms. It's by far the most popular video he has on his channel.」
