Open RP - Dio

Out of all the things to come out of getting his brain scrambled not just once, but twice, the sudden and random failings of his body had to be Dio's least favorite. The amnesia wasn't even that bad, both his actual life and that of his alias hadn't been all that great, he could have forgotten them both after Pauling hit him when she had tried to hire him to BLU and not missed a thing. No, the weakness in his muscles, it enough at times to render the entire left side of his body useless, was by far the worst.

It wouldn't be so bad, if he had at least made it back to his truck, but of course Dio couldn't be so lucky, his knees hitting the sidewalk lining the streets of Teufort with a heavy thud, the bag of groceries he had just bought landing with a series of clatters not too far behind.

Teeth grit as his left side twitched with both numbness and pain at the same damn time, the sniper let out a growl of frustration as his fist slammed against the concrete he was forced to stare down at until he got his control back. No one walking by stopped to help, and he wasn't about to ask, he'd rather just wait it out, no matter how long it took...

Ever wonder why Hol Horse is one of the only JoJo characters with the specific SFX 「メギャン」 (me-gyan)?

Me too, me too.

(I'm not an expert in Japanese expressional words, let alone its manga SFX, so take this with a spoonful of salt)

I assume "me-gyan" is a mix of "meki" and "kyan". "Meki" is the sound of something "ripping out", like a tree growing out of the ground at rapid speed. "Kyan" can be two things - a squeal or a wolf's cry.

At this point...it's safe to say that a high pitch, cracking howl is what Emperor literally sounds like when it "rips itself out" of Hol's hand. The manga and anime didn't show this, obviously. Just Emperor phasing in and out from Hol's hand with a synth sound...

But the OVA literally did show the ripping out part (which is kinda scary, tbh...to have a gun rip out of one's arm like some Kazuo Umezu story).

Which makes OVA Hol Horse even cooler, btw.

For a minor character to have a very memorable SFX assigned to him, shows how much Araki actually cared for Hol Horse. He just never had the capacity to expand him during SDC's run. But, from Hol, we were given Gyro (a better Hol Horse, according to the man himself) so that's good.

the other day I saw my plant just suddenly. droop. like, look at this before and after.

I'm wondering if maybe the pot is just too small as well, like maybe it's getting too crowded or something. but also. there's something else going on. I've been noticing that something was eating the leaves too and I think I found the criminal.

anyway so I repotted the plant and made a smaller pot for the caterpillar (I think it's a caterpillar?) to live in. it's been chilling there for two days now. and my plant is saved!!

the caterpillar (which I from now on I will call dio) can live, but like... can it not destroy the big plant? you can eat this little plant though. I've been feeding dio leaves that I prune from other plants. idk what kind of plants it wants to eat tbh. there's a bunch of leaves on the saucer just in case dio climbs down because that happened once and I didn't want to leave it in an empty saucer.

also in the middle of making this post, I checked again and dio started climbing!! I hope that means it's happy.

Well the plan WAS to become an all power diety with dominion over time and space. And use that power to wipe out his enemies and live the perfect life he always wanted.

But he got his ass kicked and well all his plans went out the window. Now he's stuck going from dimension to dimension only occasionally causing trouble.

If Dio had things his way, every match he would barricade himself up in a sniper's nest somewhere on the field, do his job, and then head back to his truck with the only interaction with other's being through his scope and a bullet in their head. But here he was, laying down flat on an unsecure rooftop at one end of the field with this jack of all trades here to help him for the day. "Don't really know what y' plan t' do girlie, 'less you're okay with being on Spy watch while I pop heads." There wasn't much to what he did, and that spy was the only real nusience he had trouble didn't want to deal with.

Getting situated on his stomach with one leg bent for stability, Dio looked through his scope in silence for several minutes before firing a shot, a new bullet being loaded and cocked in preparation for the next target all in the span of a breath. "If you're not, then you can just go help the scout." A pause, then a chuckle. "He's waving at you by the way, weird little shit..." Really it could be argued he was waving at them both, with Jack the one he's able to see, and Dio the one that just saved his ass from a charging Demoman, but the sniper wasn't foolish enough to believe he had earned such a thing, not when the scout and this girl seemed to be friends and all. "Might wanna get down too, sweetheart, 'less you want the RED sniper to do more than wave his hello's."

We know in Stardust Crusaders that, most of the Major Arcana stands have a colour assigned to it - Magician's Red, Hermit Purple, Hierophant Green, Star Platinum, Silver Chariot, Yellow Temperance, Dark Blue Moon, Tower of Gray, Ebony Devil...then it stops at Hanged Man and Emperor. Which is a shame, because I very much prefer the colour association.

Recently I found a clothing selection screen for Hol Horse in JJBA's arcade game Last Survivor and there's one template named Emperor Black, which is basically Hol's current design but the outer mustard clothes is black, the dark green inners is gray, and the browns are dark purple.

Was black supposed to be the assigned colour to his Stand? Who knows. But it's a nice assumption.

Also, the black clothes in Last Survivor is kinda cool. Makes him look like a proper assassin.
