ayato doesn’t shower after he plays basketball. he likes the ‘manly stench’ and will probably wait until his sweat has dried or until it feels icky.

laito has a love-hate relationship with fur because the texture reminds him of hairy spider legs.

shu owns a pair of military-grade ear muffs to mute everything out.

reiji’s favorite pastime is being a secret chocolatier. he likes the challenge and the fact that everything has to be perfect or else he won’t get his desired outcome. plus it further proves that he’s a ‘gifted child’.

kou loves cats but doesn’t like the fact that cat hairs get stuck on his face or mouth.

yuma has an album on his phone dedicated to harvest tiktoks. he loves the ones that show how ripe the fruits are in the center. now he has a gardening machete called “junior”.

azusa has auditory and visual hallucinations about melissa, justin and christina. he won’t tell ruki nor will he try because deep down, azusa understands that his pleas won’t be enough to convince him. he knows that ruki will try to find a way to make them disappear for good.

ruki experiences phantom pain, but not exactly. there’s days where his back just sting randomly or when his calves start stinging that feel vaguely familiar to the stings caused by a riding crop.

carla hates nutella because the aftertaste lingers too long.

shu once stole a knife from azusa's collection as he was too lazy to sharpen his own.

shin can’t stand dog whistles because they make his eardrums ring.

azusa has tried to replicate justin, melissa and christina on many occasions using limbs he has amputated from the previous sacrificial brides.

karlheinz is fond of lego sets (the ones that revolve around the world and not batman) because it reminds him of his kingdom miniatures he made during his early teens.

richter secretly wonders if karl fabricated the environment reiji was raised in to show how people react/act between the heir and the spare. the thing that confuses him is whether karl is trying to show a reason vs. an explanation in their roles as royalty because both words are extremely different

reiji can’t stand strong and lasting scents like sandalwood or musk. he’s much used to tea notes and prefers their gentler whiffs.

kou, shu and subaru go through nicotine withdrawals. kou is weekly, while shu and subaru are monthly.

azusa is addicted and loves stretch marks on bodies and on his own body; simply for the fact that they look painful.

subaru is extremely insecure of his appearance because of the fact that he’s inbred and that someone might be able to see that ‘inbred mess’ in him.

while in his wolf form, shin has multiple bites around his body due to him biting himself.

kanato once opened a teddy-themed café but it was quickly closed down by reiji after finding out that kanato uses the café as a lure to ‘collect’ new dolls and familiars.

the most disturbing part was finding out that kanato would purposely drug the victims’ drinks in heart-attacking-inducing doses if they checked off any of his preferences.

all of the sakamakis are painfully, socially awkward in their own ways - including laito. their classmates noticed, but since they’re all painstakingly beautiful, it’s all dismissed under the pretense of being a part of their ‘charm’.

kou hates fans who want to control him in all aspects of his personal life (dating, dieting, etc) and the worst offense of this was when they belittled azusa’s speech while they were out doing groceries together.

ruki keeps a mental note of the poses he wants to try out from erotic novels. his favorite chapters are slow-building tension that leads to a hostile, teasing back-and-forth.

reiji lays off drinking any liquid like tea, water or coffee for a while so that when he bites his prey, the taste lingers more and feels more heavenly.

ayato started doing deep voice exercises after he heard carla talk for the third time.

shu has tried to overcome his trauma with fire, but it never worked. as soon as the smell of smoke enters his nostrils, he immediately teleports out of the room and into his bed. what he despises even more is if the smoke sticks to his clothes.

reiji, carla, and ruki meet each other regularly, but it’s unintentional. the three frequent the same café that’s near a supermarket. they won’t stop going there though as their pride won’t allow it

He stands by your side, fearless. Even when his voice isn't as loud and proud as he wants to, Azusa will defend you. He's always right there, holding your hand, wanting to be beside you.

“Come… we should… go to another place.”

Gently pulling on your hand, wanting to lead you away from this mess. Even if he believes that pain is inevitable, something irks him about the way you're treated.

“They're a bunch o’ air heads! That's what they are, sow.”

This is not going to fly with Yuma. He's big, muscular, and as soon as someone he cares about gets bullied or intimidated, he'll proudly stand in front of them like a meat shield, pushing the bully back.

“Who do ya think ya are, huh?! I'm gonna kick your ass next time I catch you slacking!”

He's more than ready to throw fists, regardless if this gets him in trouble with Ruki. No one talks crap about you in his presence.

“I’m sorry, I believe I misheard you?”

It may seem like he wouldn't get out of hand, and you're right, he probably won't. He will give the bullies the option to backtrack. And if they don't… he has the ability to insult someone deeply to the point they'll be left without words, and Ruki doesn't even have to swear. An advanced vocabulary is probably his biggest weapon.

“Let us go and you shall face no problems. I can't say what happens If you don't, though.”

“Eh, girls… don't be so mean.”

A part of him is amused at the whole ordeal. He likes seeing the way you react to them, knowing the reason they're probably picking a fight with you in the first place is because they got jealous of him. So he embraces you from behind in front of them, a cheeky grin on his face.

“You wouldn't want to upset your idol, no? ♥”

And he’ll definitely want something in return for his kindness, as it’s expected.

To the people waiting on more art of the vamps as vamp cats sorry for the delay. I lost motivation in doing Diabolik Lovers related stuff for a while since I was more focused on other fandoms I like. I'm slowly falling back into Diabolik Lovers so hopefully I'll regain motivation to make more art of the vampire cats

If you somehow made this man walk and talk just to get your attention, you need to RUN because his failed talking stages are AFTER you.

Music is obviously the way to go for this man. He hears you talking to someone about a song you can’t remember but it’s on the tip of your tongue? He’ll make his own version using the snippet of the melody you hummed to your friend. You’re checking out the soundtrack for a video game? Best believe he’ll try his best to navigate Youtube because he’s a little shriveled boomer on the inside; just so he can see what he’s got to work with.

Shu trying to impress you is unfortunately not the best experience though. Because Shu heavily relies on his hearing to surprise you later on, there might be moments where he’ll audibly spy on the things you’re listening to. If you’re listening to an artist on Spotify or YouTube, there might be a good chance that Shu’s in the vicinity, analyzing his best tactics to approach you.

After all that effort, Shu will prepare a private one-on-one live solo of all the things he’s studied about you. The genre you lean towards, the scale that often appears in the things you’ve listened to, his shirt being slightly undone in the chance that you stop focusing on him and start focusing on his body, all that topped off with cheap flowers and his violin - just to have a chance at impressing you.

𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐣𝐢

Being a perfectionist, Reiji needs lots of time to prepare on how he’ll steal your attention and completely fixate on him. The issue with him is that he doesn’t want to admit he’s putting all of this effort for you. So there’s a mental battle before Reiji finally settles on the fact that he wants to impress you.

Subtle. In the beginning, Reiji’s quite subtle and his demeanor towards you seems more lenient. But as his meticulous planning and patience grow thin, he’ll become more obvious to the point where he’s become ‘nice’, or as nice as Reiji can get.

Being a handicraftsman, Reiji will try to impress you using his knowledge and how far his dexterity can go. In simpler terms, he wants to show you how lucky and skilled he is for you if he was yours. But in return, you have to notice his efforts before his pride and inferiority complex gets in the way. Expect complex origami cranes on the areas you frequent that get more and more convoluted after each day passes.

Flower arrangements flooded with hidden meanings, inviting you to go tea shopping with him, night walks to the museum because he knows your favorite bakery’s nearby, asking you if you need help in a specific subject, he’s simple when he needs to be and extravagant when the situation calls for it.

LOVES when you get giddy over the things he does. He hides it quite well but when you tell him about how pretty the paper cranes are or how you want to go tea shopping again because you want to learn more about Pu-erh tea he’s been talking about? His ring finger’s bare.

𝐀𝐲𝐚𝐭𝐨

Invites you to all his basketball games and you’re the best seat possible. Might end up scoring less because he’s hyper-focused on looking his best, rather than performing his best.

Extremely loud. He wants you to give ALL your attention to him. It doesn’t matter if you’re in pain, if you’re sad, if you’re upset, the attention MUST stay on him.

Randomly throws his basketball at you in the manor. Thought it was something “alpha guys” did because it showed how assertive they were. He does this thing where he spins the ball on the tips on his fingers and goes “Ha! Like what you see babe?”

Forces you to go to arcades with him so that he’ll steal as many tickets from the basketball tossing rings then get you a plushie from a claw machine that resembles him. Yes, he’ll spray it with axe body spray so that it smells like him too. He’s seen guys do this in romcoms so it’ll be a one way ticket to your heart, right?

Flexes his biceps when he’s opening something. He rolls up his sleeves to his shoulders, calls out to you, then proceeds to show off by opening a pickle jar.

Calls you petnames and when you call him out on it, he downplays and diverts it. Gaslighting runs in the family genes. “Eh-? You’re the weird one for insinuating that it means something special, y’know. Why? You wanna be special to the Great Ayato? Of course you do!”

𝐊𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐨

Being Kanato’s crush and him trying to impress you is the most surreal thing you’ll ever experience because to the untrained eye, there’s LOTS of mixed signals that it looks like a disco ball.

Gifts you taxidermied cute-looking animals done by him. Most of them are birds like owls, finches and kingfishers because creating a soft-mount taxidermy cat is too time consuming for the schedule he’s on a.k.a tending to Teddy.

Starts to hum more when he’s around you. If there’s one thing Kanato’s confident in, it’s his vocal ability. That being said, Kanato won’t change himself for you but rather, he’ll try to make you love parts of himself until it becomes one big complete piece. You don’t like raspberry pudding? Too bad because you’re gonna feed him one now.

A very, very thin line between charming and coercing you into believing he’s perfect.

Might actually just try to emotionally brainwash you. He doesn’t want to admit that you’re becoming more important than Teddy and is in denial because he’s spending his days thinking about what you two could be. ‘Impressing’ you in Kanato’s terms means imprisoning you all to himself. His impulse control isn’t the greatest, nor is his patience. If he wants you, he’ll snatch you for himself if you’re taking too long to notice his advances.

𝐋𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐨

Sickeningly suave. He’ll place beautifully calligraphic letters on your desk and each of them is painfully sweet.

Teases you in French. Laito’s a cunning linguist (HA) and wants to show off what his tongue is capable of before he ends up demonstrating tied cherry stems.

“If you think that’s impressive, wait till’ you see why my nails are per • fect • ly clipped and buffed~”

Acts like a sponge and indulges himself in the hobbies you’re in. You’re showing a growing interest in nail care? Laito, somehow, conveniently slips into your life, offering a helping hand and jesus he’s good- Being a people pleaser is one of the things Laito’s not proud to admit, but it comes in handy when dealing with his growing interest in you.

French poetry. There’s only so much the English/Japanese language can offer. Both languages differ in the figurative limits they offer with Japanese being the better out of the two, but ironically coming from Laito, love doesn’t need a literal medium when it can be expressed in ways that only the heart can understand. What else goes better with emotions than sappy poetry?

“Ne, have you heard of this poem before? ‘Ce baiser est un sceau par qui ma vie est close: Et comme on peut trouver un serpent sous des fleurs, J’ai rencontré ma mort sur un bouton de rose.(This kiss is a seal by which my life is closed: And just as one can find a serpent beneath the flowers, I’ve found my death on the bud of a rose.’ Kiss me now and let’s see how close François L’Hermite was.”

𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐮

Secretly one of those Deco Toploaders but make it CD covers. Pays close attention to the style of clothing you wear daily so that he can surprise you by burning CDs (putting songs into a blank disc) and decorating it with stuff he assumes you like.

Please don’t tell him you don’t have a CD player - it’ll break his heart.

If you’re into the same bands as him, he’ll try to save his monthly allowance to get you posters or free merch. Alternatively, he’ll also ask if you want to make unofficial posters with him. You have to be in charge with the creative side and the intricate details because he doesn’t fair well with the possibility that he’ll mess up everything because he’s too ‘aggressive’ poor thing

Give him a bass and you’ll see a different side of him. Doesn’t do too well with walking basslines, but there’s something attractive about seeing Subaru so intent on impressing you that his chubby cheeks puff up and his blue veins strain and tense under his pale translucent skin. The duality is truly a sight to behold.

𝐑𝐮𝐤𝐢

Honestly the best malewife material so you best believe that Ruki will prove why he’s the best person to be with; via action, not words. You’re tired? He’ll rub big circles on your back and ask you what your favorite incense is. Don’t like incense because of the smoke? He’ll try heating up calming scented oils that aren't just jasmine.

Ruki’s possibly unmatched when it comes to impressing his crush because his past human history gives him the edge purebloods and founders don’t. Man was emotionally manipulative whether for better or for worse when he was just a kid, so there’s not a lot of thinking involved unlike Reiji - it all comes naturally.

Even if you don’t read books, Ruki will make bookmarks based on his likings and give them to you. He’ll say they’re nothing more than paper sentients, a lucky charm at most. A simple, yet loudest sign of his deep affection.

Perhaps it’s symbolic; paper, as fragile as it is, can convey vivid things the mouth and brain can’t.

Shows you that he’s caring. You may not think of it as anything special considering that he’s the eldest so it should be expected, but it’s different - being caring to people other than his brothers leaves him vulnerable, exposed, raw. When he checks up on you, lets himself answer your unguarded questions the way regular human friends do or in the rarest circumstances, let him read you to sleep, that’s when he knows impressing you goes deeper than he should’ve let.

𝐊𝐨𝐮

Materialistic feats that make Silicon Valley look like spare change. Drives around in big intimidating SUVs or a modded 2020 Honda NSX wrapped in matte pastel pink. He’s got enough cash to throw and definitely enough for any human to do a double take. Money makes the world go round, right?

Gives you VIP tickets to concerts so that he can be closer to you without any of his fans complaining. If they can’t afford the price tag, then there’s no stones to throw at you.

Signed albums, rare vinyls, photocards that show his best angles and could make a nun blush, miniature plushies with all of his concept clothes included, you might as well be a merch store. Kou’s giving you everything he has from his best looks to a little peek at a carefully fabricated ‘soft’ side. He can sing, he can dance, he knows what his face is capable of, all of this is enough to impress you, right?

Relies on his reputation as an idol rather than his genuine self.

Kinda depressing if you think about it.

𝐘𝐮𝐦𝐚

Big dumb himbo coming your way. Don’t tell him your favorite fruit or vegetable or else you’ll have a mountain of them by the end of spring.

He’ll try to germinate some flower seeds from scratch but eventually scraps them. Caring for edibles is far easier than growing flowers because one slight difference in the PH levels of soil, how consistent the watering is, direct exposure to sunlight, etc etc, can drastically alter flowers.

They also require a level of patience Yuma’s not used to.

On the contrary, he’s the type to dry flowers whenever you two spend time outdoors. Little mementos like that one time you fell into a pond, Yuma accidentally burning his s’mores to a crisp, the time Kou found you two making paper boats to see which one reaches the middle of the lake first, a special memory woven into each of them.

Alternatively, he’ll commission someone on Etsy to make matching, clear resin necklaces with bits of red carnations in them because red roses were too obvious. Yes, he googled “flowers for love with color meaning”. He’ll say he made the necklaces himself, but his smile’s not as cocky as it should be.

But hey! He’ll confess his little white lie after he confesses his feelings first. This man’s mouth opens faster than Kou’s when it comes to saying stuff way too soon. Big man, big heart, big mouth, big-

𝐀𝐳𝐮𝐬𝐚

The issue here is that Azusa is way too open when it comes to impressing you, leading to dangerous acts that may or may not repel you depending on their severity.

Remember that one Justin Bieber trend where obsessed fans cut his name somewhere on their bodies? That’s Azusa’s way of hammering the idea that he’s impressing you; by proving he’s devoted to do anything for your attention.

Shows off his pain tolerance to entice you to do more sinister things to him. You have to steer him away from his current direction. You gave him an idea he could start from: pottery! He can cut and slice clay while feeding into his creative side.

REALLY good at it. Years of cutting other people, breaking his own wrists on purpose and having this innate uncanny ability to be able to tell when the clay’s perfect for shaping into form.

Can accurately tell when something’s off in the clay sculptures. “Hmm… Ah… This section here is way too thick… making the figure slope in this weird angle… Just a little snip should do the trick…”

It’s weirdly attractive watching him work. Slim fingers snake over the figure, being keen on gently smoothing out the cracks formed from the air unevenly drying the surface. He bites his lips with his top incisors and his sleeves are rolled up; Azusa’s forearms relax in your gaze. Occasionally, he steals distracting glances at you and after a while, he doesn’t even hide it anymore.

“...If seeing me like this… makes you happy… then you should know… that any part… of me… is yours to mold…”

Te puxando suavemente pela mão, ele quer te afastar dessa bagunça. Mesmo acreditando que a dor é inevitável, algo o irrita na forma como te tratam.

“Eles são um bando de cabeças ocas! Isso é o que eles são, sô.”

Isso não vai rolar com o Yuma. Ele é grande, musculoso e, assim que alguém de quem ele gosta é intimidado ou intimidado, vai se colocar na frente deles como se fosse um escudo de carne, empurrando o agressor para trás.

E se não o fizerem... ele tem a habilidade de insultar alguém profundamente a ponto de deixá-lo sem palavras, e Ruki nem precisa xingar. Um vocabulário avançado é provavelmente a sua maior arma.

“Deixe-nos ir e você não enfrentará problemas. Não posso dizer o que acontece se você não fizer isso.”

“Eh, meninas… não sejam tão más.”

Uma parte dele se diverte com toda a situação. Ele gosta de ver a maneira como você reage aos insultos, sabendo que o motivo pelo qual os outros estão brigando com você em primeiro lugar é porque ficaram com ciúmes dele. Então ele abraça você por trás na frente de todos, com um sorriso atrevido no rosto.

“Vocês não querem chatear seu ídolo, né? ♥”

E ele definitivamente vai querer algo em troca dessa gentileza dele, como é esperado.

This is my first time doing an AU for this anime/game series. I've liked Diabolik Lovers for a long ass time now. So I'm giving a shot at making an AU. I'm better at drawing animals so that's a tiny piece on why they're cats but also because I thought it'd be a fun concept. Asks are welcome. I will add stuff and upload when I can so it may be slow at first because I have to come up with ideas and names for each cat. They will have names similar to Warrior Cats however this is NOT a Warrior Cats AU. I'm doing this for fun and because I've seen others have fun with Diabolik Lovers related blogs/accounts. For now I will be answering asks without images or art (that way I have time to make the art and get the hang of responses)

Diabolik Lovers Dark and Horrific Facts (Based on HDB and MB Games and CDs) part1/part2

Shu tied Yui's hands and feet with chains and tore her clothes with a knife in front of Ayato, stripping her completely naked. ( Versus I Vol.1 Drama CD )

Shu cut Yui's naked body with a knife to make it easier to bleed and suck her blood, threatened to stab her to death if she resisted. ( Versus I Vol.1 Drama CD)

Shu threatened Yui that if she tried to escape, he would trample all the wounded points on her body or even crucify her. ( Versus I Vol.1 Drama CD)

After Reiji lost his mind and killed Yui for having Cordelia's heart, he tried to kill his own father but failed and was killed by Karlheinz. ( MB Brute.End )

After Reiji found out Yuma's identity as Edgar, he tried to kill Yuma in front of Shu to torture him. ( MB Ecstasy.08 )

Reiji leaned Yui's body against the wall of the bathroom and pulled her hair with all his might. ( MB Maniac.02 )

When Ayato lost his mental health, he killed all his brothers to show his power and have Yui only for himself. ( HDB Manservant.End )

Ayato sucked Yui because of having Cordelia's heart until Yui was unable to walk, and then stabbed her to death with a knife. ( HDB Brute.End )

Kanato killed all of his brothers except for Yui by summoning his Fire power but killed her in a different way and turned her corpse into a wax doll. ( HDB Brute.End )

When Kanato wanted to keep an eye on Yui, he called Teddy by different name, and Yui was suprise to saw him walking. Kanato then said that he is Daddie, not Teddy, and that he is an familiar, not a doll. It shows that he was one of the people that Kanato killed before and now his soul is under Kanato's command. Kanato burned Yui's body in the torture chamber and collected her ashes and put them in a doll, claiming that it was only because he loved Yui and wanted to be with her forever. ( MB Brute.End )

Laito used an unknown device to torture Yui, which was revealed in the manga to be a device for sexual torture. ( HDB Dark.02 )

Laito let Ayato suck Yui's blood and then punished her for Ayato sucking her blood. ( HDB Ecstasy.09 )

In front of Subaru, Laito put a collar around Yui's neck and tightened it so tightly that it was difficult for Yui to breathe. ( Versus I Vol.2 Drama CD)
