Kṛṣṇa’s clever disguise
Once, Śrīmatī Rādhārāṇī exhibited Her transcendental pique towards Kṛṣṇa. Observing this, artful Kṛṣṇa decided to employ His cleverness to pacify Her and thus approached Rādhārāṇī in a unique disguise.
keyaṁ śyāmā sphurati sarale gopakanyā kimarthaṁ prāptā sakhyaṁ tava mṛgayate nirmitāsau vayasyā | āliṅgāmūṁ muhuriti tathā kurvatī māṁ viditvā nārīveśam hriyamupayayau māninī yatra rādhā ||
Rādhā : O gentle girl (Viśākhā)! Who is that beautiful dark-complexioned girl?
Viśākhā: A cowherd man's daughter
Rādhā: Why has she come here?
Viśākhā: To tie the knot of friendship with You
Rādhā: I accept her as my close friend
Viśākhā: Then embrace her tightly.
O Ūddhava! When Rādhā embraced Me, She realised that I was Kṛṣṇa. Rādhā thus became embarrassed at that time.

Thus, ends the short pastime, described by Kṛṣṇa Himself to Ūddhava.
For one who has developed an attraction for the transcendental pastimes of Lord Kṛṣṇa, what is the value in discussing mundane male-female affairs glorified in various media streams such as Bollywood, Netflix, Hotstar, etc? Can a person who has, even once, tasted the mango pulp will ever get attracted to bitter neem leaves?
In the words of our ācāryas, one who has tasted sugar candy knows how sweet it is. If one has not tasted it, then, how can one know it? If I say, “Oh sugar candy is very sweet.” You will say, “How sweet?” What shall I say? You have to taste it, and then you can realise how sweet it is.
Similarly, one who has tasted and relished the Kṛṣṇa prema knows what it is. Otherwise, how can one know?

Verse 11.3 - Vishwarupa Darshan Yoga
एवमेतद्यथात्थ त्वमात्मानं परमेश्वर ।
द्रष्टुमिच्छामि ते रूपमैश्वरं पुरुषोत्तम ॥ ११-३॥
evam etad yathāttha tvam ātmānaṁ parameśvara
draṣhṭum ichchhāmi te rūpam aiśhwaraṁ puruṣhottama
Thus, as you have spoken, O Supreme Lord, you are yourself, O Supreme Lord.
I desire to see your form, divine, O best of persons.
- In this verse, Arjun addresses Shree Krishna as the Supreme Lord and the best of persons. He acknowledges that Shree Krishna has revealed his true identity and nature as the source of everything, the controller of all, and the friend of all beings. He expresses his faith and devotion in Shree Krishna's words and accepts him as the Supreme Divine Personality.
- Arjun also expresses his desire to see Shree Krishna's cosmic form, which is beyond the ordinary perception of the senses. He wants to witness the manifestation of Shree Krishna's opulence, power, and glory as the Lord of the universe. He wants to see how Shree Krishna pervades and sustains all creation with his divine energy.
- Arjun's request is based on his curiosity and eagerness to experience the Supreme Reality that Shree Krishna has described. He does not doubt or challenge Shree Krishna's statements, but rather seeks to deepen his understanding and appreciation of his divine attributes. He also shows his humility and surrender by asking for Shree Krishna's permission and grace to behold his cosmic form.
Some similar verses from other Vedic texts that convey the same theme of seeking to see God's form are:
- Rig Veda 1.156.3:
अहं मनुरभवं सूर्यश्चाहं कक्षीवां रश्मिरस्मि ज्योतिरहं सुवर्णमहं वेदाः कर्माणि चाहं विश्वकर्मा चाहं प्रजापतिः ॥
ahaṁ manur abhavaṁ sūryaś cāhaṁ kakṣīvāṁ raśmir asmi jyotir ahaṁ suvarṇam
ahaṁ vedāḥ karmāṇi cāhaṁ viśvakarmā cāhaṁ prajāpatiḥ
I became Manu (the progenitor of mankind) and Surya (the sun), I am Kakshivan (the radiant one), the light-giver. I am gold, I am the Vedas (the knowledge), I am the actions, I am Vishwakarma (the creator of all things), I am Prajapati (the lord of creatures).
This verse is spoken by Indra, who is identified with the supreme Brahman in some hymns of the Rig Veda. He declares his identity with various aspects of creation and reveals his cosmic form to the seer.
- Svetasvatara Upanishad 3.8:
पश्यन्ति ये केचन आत्मानम���त्रं हृदि सन्निविष्टं सदा सुखं चित्रं दधतं मुहुरन्तरमुक्षीकरोति प्रभामपेताम् ॥
paśyanti ye kecana ātmānam ātraṁ hṛdi sanniviṣṭaṁ sadā sukhaṁ citraṁ
dadhataṁ muhur antaram ukṣīkaroti prabhām apetām
Some see the Self within themselves, seated in their heart, always blissful, shining brightly. He makes the light that has departed come back again and again.
This verse describes the vision of the Self or Brahman within one's own heart, which is the source of all joy and illumination. The Self is said to be constantly revealing its splendor and grace to the seekers.
- Bhagavata Purana 10.14.7:
तवाहं न जाने को वा कथमिदं जगदधिष्ठानमसीत् ।
गुहाशयं विधृत्यान्तः स्थितस्य सम्प्रति दर्शनीयस्य च ॥
tavāhaṁ na jāne ko vā katham idaṁ jagad adhiṣṭhānam asīt
guhāśayaṁ vidhṛtya antaḥ sthitasya samprati darśanīyasya ca
I do not know who or how you are, or how this universe is situated under your control. You are hidden within the hearts of all living beings, and now you have become visible to me.
This verse is spoken by Brahma, the creator of the universe, after he sees the form of Lord Krishna as the supreme controller and enjoyer of all creation. He admits his ignorance and wonder at Krishna's inconceivable power and beauty.

తాత్పర్యము : ఈ విధముగా ధ్యానాభ్యాసము చేయుటవలన సాధకునకు శ్రీహరియందు పరిపూర్ణ భక్తి ఏర్పడును. దాని ప్రభావమున అతని హృదయము ఆర్ద్రమగును. ఆనందాతిరేకముచే తనువు పులకించును. ఉత్కంఠవలన కలిగిన అశ్రుధారలచే మాటిమాటికిని అతని దేహము తడిసిపోవును.చేపలను ఆకర్షించు గాలమువలె శ్రీహరిని తనవైపు మరల్చుకొనుటకు సాధనమైన చిత్తమునుగూడ తిన్నతిన్నగా ధ్యేయవస్తువునకు దూరమొనర్చును. ఈ స్థితిలో ద్యాత, ధ్యానము, ధ్యేయము అను త్రిపుటి ఉండదు. భగవంతుడు ఒక్కడే మిగిలి యుండును. అనగా భక్తుడు భగవంతునిలో ఏకీభావస్థితిని పొందును.
వ్యాఖ్య : మనస్సు యొక్క చర్య అయిన ధ్యానం సమాధి లేదా శోషణ యొక్క పరిపూర్ణ దశ కాదని ఇక్కడ స్పష్టంగా పేర్కొనబడింది. ఆదిలో మనస్సు భగవంతుని స్వరూపాన్ని ఆకర్షించడంలో పని చేస్తుంది, కానీ ఉన్నత దశలలో మనస్సును ఉపయోగించుకునే ప్రశ్నే ఉండదు. ఒక భక్తుడు తన ఇంద్రియాలను శుద్ధి చేసుకోవడం ద్వారా పరమేశ్వరుని సేవించడం అలవాటు చేసుకుంటాడు. మరో మాటలో చెప్పాలంటే, ఒక వ్యక్తి స్వచ్ఛమైన భక్తి సేవలో లేనంత వరకు ధ్యానం యొక్క యోగ సూత్రాలు అవసరం. ఇంద్రియాలను శుద్ధి చేయడానికి మనస్సు ఉపయోగించ బడుతుంది, కానీ ధ్యానం ద్వారా ఇంద్రియాలు శుద్ధి చేయబడినప్పుడు, ఒక నిర్దిష్ట ప్రదేశంలో కూర్చుని భగవంతుని స్వరూపాన్ని ధ్యానించడానికి ప్రయత్నించాల్సిన అవసరం లేదు. ఒక వ్యక్తి స్వయంచాలకంగా భగవంతుని వ్యక్తిగత సేవలో నిమగ్నమయ్యేంత అలవాటు పడిపోతాడు. భగవంతుని స్వరూపంపై మనస్సు బలవంతంగా నిమగ్నమైనప్పుడు, యోగి స్వయంచాలకంగా భగవంతుని వ్యక్తిగత సేవలో నిమగ్నమవ్వడు కాబట్టి దీనిని నిర్బీజ-యోగ లేదా నిర్జీవ యోగా అంటారు. కానీ అతను నిరంతరం భగవంతుని గురించి ఆలోచిస్తు��్నప్పుడు, దానిని సబీజ-యోగ లేదా జీవన యోగా అంటారు. జీవన యోగా వేదికగా ఒకరు పదోన్నతి పొందాలి.

34. evaṁ harau bhagavati pratilabdha-bhāvo bhaktyā dravad-dhṛdaya utpulakaḥ pramodāt
autkaṇṭhya-bāṣpa-kalayā muhur ardyamānas tac cāpi citta-baḍiśaṁ śanakair viyuṅkte
MEANING : By following this course, the yogī gradually develops pure love for the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Hari. In the course of his progress in devotional service, the hairs on his body stand erect through excessive joy, and he is constantly bathed in a stream of tears occasioned by intense love. Gradually, even the mind, which he used as a means to attract the Lord, as one attracts a fish to a hook, withdraws from material activity.
PURPORT : Here it is clearly mentioned that meditation, which is an action of the mind, is not the perfect stage of samādhi, or absorption. In the beginning the mind is employed in attracting the form of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, but in the higher stages there is no question of using the mind. A devotee becomes accustomed to serving the Supreme Lord by purification of his senses. In other words, the yoga principles of meditation are required as long as one is not situated in pure devotional service. The mind is used to purify the senses, but when the senses are purified by meditation, there is no need to sit in a particular place and try to meditate upon the form of the Lord. One becomes so habituated that he automatically engages in the personal service of the Lord. When the mind forcibly is engaged upon the form of the Lord, this is called nirbīja-yoga, or lifeless yoga, for the yogī does not automatically engage in the personal service of the Lord. But when he is constantly thinking of the Lord, that is called sabīja-yoga, or living yoga. One has to be promoted to the platform of living yoga.

MEANING : By following this course, the yogī gradually develops pure love for the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Hari. In the course of his progress in devotional service, the hairs on his body stand erect through excessive joy, and he is constantly bathed in a stream of tears occasioned by intense love. Gradually, even the mind, which he used as a means to attract the Lord, as one attracts a fish to a hook, withdraws from material activity.
PURPORT : Here it is clearly mentioned that meditation, which is an action of the mind, is not the perfect stage of samādhi, or absorption. In the beginning the mind is employed in attracting the form of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, but in the higher stages there is no question of using the mind. A devotee becomes accustomed to serving the Supreme Lord by purification of his senses. In other words, the yoga principles of meditation are required as long as one is not situated in pure devotional service. The mind is used to purify the senses, but when the senses are purified by meditation, there is no need to sit in a particular place and try to meditate upon the form of the Lord. One becomes so habituated that he automatically engages in the personal service of the Lord. When the mind forcibly is engaged upon the form of the Lord, this is called nirbīja-yoga, or lifeless yoga, for the yogī does not automatically engage in the personal service of the Lord. But when he is constantly thinking of the Lord, that is called sabīja-yoga, or living yoga. One has to be promoted to the platform of living yoga.

Yes, Srimati Radharani chants Hare Krishna Mahamantra. Whenever She feels separation from Krishna, Radharani chants Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare / Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare.
