A sequel to the enigmatic gothic horror about a powerful evil that haunts and endangers everyone it encounters. A priest has been brutally murdered, and after the events of the first movie, the aforementioned tremendous evil starts to spread over a community in France in 1956. Sister Irene, a completed contemplative in her novitiate, starts to look into the murder but discovers that Valak, the evil that frightened her in the first movie as a nun, is actually responsible for it. She soon meets Valak once more as she investigates the murder.
