"FL9 on the Santa Train"
NS 3010, the usual power for the Morristown and Erie's Toys for Tots train had suffered mechanical issues on its way back from the NYS&W Toys for Tots train which rendered it unusable for the following days train. This yielded two unique photographic opportunities, the first of which was the M&E Toys for Tots train operating with an M&E unit (as opposed to 3010) and the second was the chance to see the Maine Eastern FL9 leading the Whippany Santa trains. The FL9 did not power the train, it simply served as a cab car for the crew on the West end, but offered a very rare opportunity to see the engine leading a train in New Jersey before being sent back to Maine after the M&E repaired the locomotive. Here we see the train making its way back to Whippany as they cross the Algonquin Parkway. Hanover, NJ December 11, 2011

This unit was built for Bangor & Arrostook in May 1948. It was acquired by the Tri-State Railway Historical Society in 1984. After spending several years in storage on the Morristown & Erie Railway wearing a weathered coat of solid blue BAR paint, it was eventually repainted as "Central Railroad of New Jersey" 56. By the late 2000s it would be housed at Steamtown and was appropriately repainted to represent "Lackawanna" 663. DLW 664 F3A (ex-BAR 504A, BAR 44)

Well here we are. William Sorchinski a very honest man in working in an evil nest of wasps and hornets (such a shame). God Rest His Soul in Piece. Its been half a century since I have made it my only mission. What mission? The mission to find out why Former West Milford Detective Harry J Shortway set me up to be shot as the FBI in their old former secret meeting place right at the railroad tracks in back of Dominos. How do I know this fact? AKA "Great Pumpkin, Mr William Sorchinski picked me up at the sleazy rooming house owned by organized criminal FUDGIE and his kids whom still all live in the sleazy vermin infested place even though Fudgies father left him tons a cash. The rooming house is to the left or right of the realroad track in Pompton Lakes, New Jersey. Anyway, I lived there for a while. William Sorchinski, picked me up in 1990 and met me by Dominos' pizza in the front of the FBI seceret location which housed at least 50 agents. We entered the place and took out seats and over about 15 FBI AGENTS TOLD ME "Harry j shortway used an add he placed in the Surburban Trends Newspaper to set me up to be raped and shot dead." The thing the only thing saving my life they told me (the agents of the FBI) they said was me going to an old Irish Bar called McAges on Macopin Road in Bloomingdale NJ USA the night before and I got so *ucked up and drunk I "missed me appointment with death and the man who "set me up for his organized crime family, HARRY J SHORTWAY. They told me to always stay at ;east 100 miles from Harry which is wherefore I threatened Governor Murphy and had to do one year in jail.
Eccoti l’intervista.
Bob Dylan, tu perché hai deciso di chiamarti Bob Dylan?
È una cosa comune cambiare nome. Non è così incredibile. Molta gente lo fa. La gente cambia città, cambia Paese…
Hai scelto Dylan in omaggio a Dylan Thomas.
Ti dico: a Hibbing, d’inverno, c’era solo silenzio. Tutto era immobile. Solo freddo, neve e ghiaccio.
Ascoltavo Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, Jimmy Reed. E Howlin’ Wolf! Tutta la notte, tutte le notti. Fino alle 2, le 3 del mattino.
E quando hai cominciato a suonare?
A 12 anni.
E a suonarla.
Poi un pomeriggio ti sei fermato a New York…
Come compone Bob Dylan?
E Self Portrait?
Quell’album era uno scherzo. Quel mio ritratto in copertina è uno scherzo.

Page 4753: Mr. STEPHENS of Texas. Is it not a fact that San Pedro is a port of entry of Los Angeles?
Mr. STEPHENS of California. It is, and San Pedro is all within the city of Los Angeles.
Mr. STEPHENS of Texas. And on the other side there is the port of entry of Santa Monica.
Mr. STEPHENS of California. There are several ports of entry within a few miles of this harbor.
Mr. STEPHENS of Texas. Is this officially classed as Los Angeles port of entry or San Pedro or Santa Monica?
Mr. STEPHENS of California. It is officially known as the port of Los Angeles, and Santa Monica, Venice, Long Beach, and Redondo are all subports of entry to Los Angeles.
Mr. STEPHENS of Texas. And this would provide for all those different ports?
Mr. STEPHENS of California. Yes; and for many others, I reserve the balance of my time.
Mr. MANN. Will the gentleman yield?
Mr. STEPHENS of California. I will.
Mr. MANN. As I understand it now, there is no board of inspection in the Steamboat Service south of San Francisco.
Mr. STEPHENS of California. That is right.
Mr. MANN. How much would the expense be to the Government for the board at Los Angeles if this bill passes?
Mr. STEPHENS of California. I will say to the gentleman from Illinois that it is believed that the expense will not be very much, if any, greater.
Mr. MANN. I know, but that is not the question I asked. How much will the expense be at Los Angeles?
Mr. STEPHENS of California. About $5,000 per annum. But this amount will be exceeded if the Inspection Service is to be performed in the old way, for additional inspectors will be needed at San Francisco, and a much larger traveling expense made necessary by the wonderfully growing shipping industry at and near Los Angeles.
Mr. MANN. Well, they send inspectors now from San Francisco to Los Angeles.
Mr. STEPHENS of California. Yes.
Mr. MANN. Of course there is some expense growing out of that for traveling expense and subsistence.
Mr. STEPHENS of California. $100 every time they go to Los Angeles. It takes two inspectors, one for hulls and one for boilers.
Mr. MANN. I see the supervising inspector of the district says that, if necessary to visit it two or three times a week, they send inspectors down there at the expense of $300 per week. They are certainly guilty of gross extravagance if they send down inspectors two or three times a week at an expense of $300 a week.
Mr. STEPHENS of California. I will say to the gentleman from Illinois that the inspection bureau at San Francisco is trying to accommodate the service on the Pacific coast as best it can. The Craig Shipbuilding Co. now have in operation a large shipbuilding plant at Long Beach, near Los Angeles. Last year four or five good-sized steamships were built by this company. This year it will build more than that, and in addition will construct two submarines for the United States Government.
Mr. MANN. The gentleman believes from his knowledge of the subject that the expenses of this board at Los Angeles will practically be no more than the expenses now incurred by sending inspectors from San Francisco to Los Angeles?
Mr. STEPHENS of California. I feel sure the next three years will prove this an economical thing for the Government to have done.
The SPEAKER. The question is on suspending the rules and passing the bill.
The question was taken; and two-thirds having voted in the affirmative, the rules were suspended, and the bill was passed.
Page 103: But there are three courses of action open, either of which, if adopted, would enormously stimulate our foreign-carrying trade. These are: First. To charge no tolls through the Panama Canal to our coastwise trade, and to establish ports of entry in the Canal Zone. Second. To establish discriminating duties upon the indirect carrying trade. Third. To establish an interoceanic commerce commission to regulate water-borne traffic in which we are interested, just as our Interstate Commerce Commission regulates our transportation on the land.

Why Aston Coach's Morristown Airport Car Service & Limo
Professionalism and Experience. Aston Coach has been in business over 10 years, and our drivers have an average of 7 years as professional chauffeur experience. A professional chauffeur knows that their job is more than just delivering you to an address. They ensure that you have an excellent experience and that every detail of your travel needs is met. For instance, at Aston Coach we pre-verify all destination addresses and choose the most efficient routes based on the most up to date traffic and road conditions, especially for those who are traveling to Newark Airport, LGA, JFK and other airports from Morristown NJ. And, if any situation or service incident should arise, our customer service department is always available to resolve any issues fast. The prodigiously positive reviews from clients and employees are a testimony to the level of professionalism and care one can expect from Aston Coach Transportation. Compare this with Uber where pretty much anyone can be a driver, and customer service is either unreachable or dreadful according to feedback from both clients and drivers Indeed, complaints about Uber are a testimony to the lack of experience and professionalism encountered by their clients. Why risk subjecting yourself to such a potentially tragic experience?
Safety. Many professional chauffeured car services strive to incorporate tracking on their vehicles and rigorous screening and safety training of their drivers and staff. All Aston Coach vehicles are equipped with InTouch vehicle tracking software and driven by experienced chauffeurs who are fully focused on transporting you safely and comfortably.
Uber Drivers Must Use Phone. Our drivers never use cell phones while they are driving, and they are not worrying about their last or next job. On the other hand, Uber drivers must use cell phones to "accept" jobs, ‘check-in', or otherwise keep themselves on track. Moreover, Uber drivers receive relatively very little to no training on customer care and safety issues. Morristown limo service chauffeurs receive extensive training on all aspects of customer care, safety, and regional issues. At Aston Coach, chauffeurs receive additional specialized training to assist out-of-towners in their travel arrangements. Aston Coach car service chauffeurs are completely focused on you and your needs so they never need to take their eyes off the road or get distracted.
Personal and Financial Security. The staff at Aston Coach is comprised of industry professionals and hospitality experts, all of whom convey excellence in every aspect of their work. All chauffeurs undergo thorough background checks and extensive, ongoing safety training. Aston Coach has have maintained a 99.9% safety rating for the past 10 plus years. In contrast, Uber has suffered a rash of bad publicity for incidents involving their drivers harassing or assaulting customers and killing pedestrians. Obviously, Uber's background check system is so ineffectual that it could be considered non-existent. You should be confident that your personal and business information remains with your car service. You can request custom reports and rest easy that these reports remain strictly confidential. Aston Coach transportation offers automated processing and billing on a daily, weekly, semi-monthly or monthly basis by credit card or directs invoice and custom reports are available on request. All your information stays with us. Uber claims the right to share your information with third parties. This may mean sharing with your Uber driver, other industries, and even the public. The Uber privacy policy also states that your information, including your geo-location, will be stored in their system until your account is terminated which breaks your privacy.
No Surge pricing. Aston Coach satisfies the growing demand for the cost conscious consumers and corporate executives while keeping the same Book Now no matter the weather, or demand. Uber charges double when it drizzles and sometimes four or five times rate when demand is high. Reports show that Uber prices can change every three or five minutes, up to 20 times per hour. Also, with their upfront pricing, their charges and payments to drivers are different. There is NO surge pricing in Aston Coach Limousine. There are no On-Peak / Off-Peak Charges either. It's simple: Book Now will not change with the weather, demand or other external pressures.
Aston Coach Limo and Car Services in Morristown provides VIP service to the corporate world as well. From large corporations to small businesses, we understand the unique needs of our corporate clients and provide them with first class personal service. Portman, Brown Announce Ohio Locations for National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, Encourage Ohioans to Participate
Senators Released List of 272 Locations Where Ohioans can Safely Dispose of Unused and Unwanted Prescription Medications Saturday from 10 AM to 2 PM
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Sens. Rob Portman (R-OH) and Sherrod Brown (D-OH) announced more than 270 sites where Ohioans can safely dispose of unwanted and unused prescription drugs on “National Prescription Drug Take Back Day” on Saturday, April 29 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in an effort to provide safe, convenient and responsible means for disposal of prescription drugs, while also educating the public about the potential for abuse and medications.
Four out of five people addicted to opioids start out using prescription drugs. That’s why it’s so important to safely dispose of any and all unnecessary prescription medications. I’m pleased that so many communities in our state are participating in this annual event and I urge all Ohioans to clean out their medicine cabinets and take advantage of Drug Take Back. Together, we can turn the tide of addiction and ensure that every Ohioan can reach their God-given potential.
“Four out of five people addicted to opioids start out using prescription drugs. That’s why it’s so important to safely dispose of any and all unnecessary prescription medications,” said Portman. “I’m pleased that so many communities in our state are participating in this annual event and I urge all Ohioans to clean out their medicine cabinets and take advantage of Drug Take Back. Together, we can turn the tide of addiction and ensure that every Ohioan can reach their God-given potential.”
“Prescription drug abuse and misuse has devastated Ohio communities. Too often, individuals can get prescription drugs from the family medicine cabinet or from family and friends who no longer use the medicine they were legally prescribed,” Brown said. “That’s why this DEA-sponsored Drug Take-Back Day is so important in Ohio. All prescription medications—especially addictive opioid painkillers—should be disposed of safely to prevent them from falling into the wrong hands.”
In April, Portman and Brown spoke jointly about their efforts to combat Ohio’s opioid epidemic. The Senators recently teamed up on pair of complimentary bills to block illegal fentanyl from entering the U.S.
Ohioans can look up the drug take back site closest to them here.
