While on a holiday with his best mate Zayn, Louis meets Harry, who seems to dislike him from the start. It's just his luck he ends up getting stuck on a ski lift with Harry. Except maybe the universe knows better and he really is lucky.

“I’m spending Christmas alone.” Harry would never have thought of himself as dramatic, but he could swear he felt his heart lurch at the quiet admission. “Huh?” “Just me, myself and I,” Louis joked, giving a little laugh. “It’s about to be a very….ah, silent night.” And Harry was so distraught at this news, that he didn’t even chuckle at the pun. “Louis,” he said dumbly, voice betraying how upsetting he found the idea. The sparkle in Louis’ eyes dulled further. “Don’t you worry about me, Harry,” Louis soothed, “It’s not that big a deal-” “-Would you like to spend Christmas with me?” And what. the. fuck. Why did he ask that to someone who was essentially a stranger?

Or, when Harry, an anxious alpha, found himself panicking over last minute Christmas shopping, he found comfort in the kind omega shop assistant, Louis. He wasn't meant to invite the omega home for Christmas when he found out that he's spending Christmas alone. He wasn't meant to catch feelings. Hell, he wasn't even meant to be able to go home for the holiday. It was shaping up to be a Christmas full of surprises.

After an encounter in a coffee shop with the rudest man he's ever met, Louis hopes the city is just big enough that he'll never bump into him again. When he spots that man at a bar the following evening, a plan begins to form. They both need dates for their respective Christmas parties and decide to use each other for their own benefit. They'll help one another through the holidays and then 'break it off' on New Year's, then agree to never see each other again. Developing feelings was not part of the plan.

'Has Louis always looked this pretty?' He can't help but think.They're snapped out of their trance by the sound of the oven beeping. Harry blinks. Louis is covered from head to toe in flour, looking an absolute mess. Why did Harry think he looked pretty?

Or, Harry is the new teacher, Louis helps him settle in, it's the sweater weather and no one's falling in love with their new, kind and charming best friend. No. One. Harry tries to make the best of things, making elaborate plans to distract herself from feeling lonely, while Nick is just looking forward to her first real vacation from her hectic job in years. Neither of them will have the Christmas that they expected, but maybe they’ll each get the one that they need.

Or, Niall comes to visit Shawn at the Jingle Ball performances, and afterwards they spend some time in their hotel room together, reminiscing on old holiday memories and making new ones together.

There is little Louis loves more than the look on a would-be criminal’s face when he falls from the sky. They never see it coming – which seems ridiculous, since they live in a city with dozens of superheroes. But then again, most of those “heroes” are CowellCorp’s pet monkeys, and CowellCorp isn’t all that concerned with helping ordinary folks.

Louis is, though. So when he looks into an alley and spots a man gripping a woman’s arm hard enough to bruise, he does the logical thing: he fires an arrow that neatly peels the man’s hat off his head and pins it to the wall behind him.

Isn’t that what anyone would do?

Once, Louis walked the streets as Ranger, a proud member of the CowellCorp Crusaders. With their training and tech, he thought he'd be able to fight evil and protect those in need.

Then he realized the evil people needed protecting from was the very company that had built him into a "hero" in the first place.

Now he walks those same streets as Rogue, a vigilante who makes his own justice - and he's making damn sure that justice is coming for CowellCorp too.

Harry loves Christmas, but this year is special. After ten years of boyfriends all failing to ever meet Harry's family, Harry has a fiance to introduce and things are looking like they will be perfect.

Shop regular and object of Louis' affections, Harry, is also snowed in with them— as is another man who Harry seems more than friendly with.

Will it be a Christmas miracle if Louis survives the snow squalls, a seemingly unrequited crush, and a curmudgeonly tortoiseshell cat?

It all started with a big battle. One of those big end of the world battles where Louis feels so incredibly powerless, where he knows he won’t be able to do anything but stand on the sidelines and wait for Liam to come back. Not to downplay his own abilities, which in some circles are considered formidable, but when it comes to true danger – well, there is only one Slayer.

The Slayer.

Into every generation and all that, Louis knows it, but that doesn’t mean that he has to like it when Liam puts himself in danger every night. It’s bad enough when it’s just your run of the mill vampire, it’s different when words like apocalypse and end of the world get thrown around. Liam takes it in stride, as he always does, jokes about how they need to come up with a plural form of apocalypse because they’ve lived through more than one in their time on the Hellmouth, but there’s always this tightness in Louis’ chest when he watches Liam head out to another battle, unsure whether or not he’s going to come back.

Unsure if this will be the last time he’ll see him and he’ll have to live with his regrets for years to come. With the thoughts of what could have happened.

hello there :] i'm kay, the admin of this blog. i've been running this blog from april 29 2022 when i made my dnf starter pack post for all those new to dnf fics. since then, i've made more than 700 posts and have added many features to my blog.

here's a little guide to everything and anything dnfao3tags!

(highly recommend checking my blog out on a pc, a lot more features are easily visible that way)

Louis Tomlinson was not a morning person, so he really should have known better than to start leaving secret notes on coworker Harry Styles' desk before he arrived at the office at 7:30 in the morning. But he had to admit that hearing Harry's reaction everyday was definitely worth it. Not being a morning person might be his downfall in this situation, though.

He’s leaning against the door of a wardrobe, his long hair having lost some of its curls due to the amount of times he’s run his fingers through it. Louis is still where he was the moment the door got closed behind them, all but pressed up against the wood, trying to keep as much distance between him and Harry as possible.

His heart stutters in his chest as he looks up at his best friend. He’s known Harry since he was barely out of diapers, and Harry gets him in a way that few people ever have – or have tried to. He knows him, to the point where sometimes Louis worries that he’s able to read his mind.

Or: It's Seven minutes in Heaven, but Louis sort of feels like he's ended up in Hell instead when he's forced into a small bedroom with his childhood best friend slash long time crush.

🔹I see the midnight on your lips [Zayn/Liam, M, 3k]

It’s not like his descent into addiction has been anything less than extremely public. It’s not like people won’t have expected it. His fans certainly have, he knows that much. He knows that they might even be happy that he’s here. Liam wishes that he could say he did it because of them. Because of the people that have followed his career, made his career. In a way, maybe he is. Because he wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for them, if he’d simply been Liam Payne of Wolverhampton, as opposed to Liam Payne, 1/5th of One Direction.

But he’s not here for them.

He’s just finished making a drink for another customer when a literal angel walks towards him. It’s not an exaggeration to say that the crowd almost seems to part for him, and for a moment Louis wonders if there’s a literal halo around him or if it’s just the lights in the bar, and then he notices the way the man trips over nothing, and the illusion wanes somewhat.

He’s still fucking gorgeous though, even on bambi legs, and Louis resists the urge to paste on his tried-and-ever-undefeated flirty smile. Instead he just grins, appraising this newest customer and trying to remain professional. He might be demiromantic, or whatever the fuck Zayn had called it, but that doesn’t mean he can’t appreciate this man’s good looks. After all, his romantic identity had nothing to do with his sexual identity, much as people assumed it did. For a brief moment Louis laments his decision to stop sleeping with people, especially when the boy pops a dimple when he smiles back at him.

Or: Louis is a bartender who doesn't take drink orders, but just makes drinks based on what he thinks his customers will like. Harry is just another customer. Or is he?

“Rim of the hole, Haz, really?” he gazes at the camera again. “This is getting demonetised and honestly, rightfully so. How are we still allowed to make videos? YouTube, why don’t you just do yourself the favour and delete our channels?”

Louis has noticed that since he turned fifty, his sex drive has started to slow down. Unfortunately, that’s not the case for his younger boyfriend Harry. When he suggests getting a referral for a sex worker to give Harry what he hasn’t been lately, it doesn’t take long for Harry to agree.

“I’m 42 years old, Liam,” Louis said, her voice flat. “I don’t think the place to pick up men my age is at a club downtown.”

“Where do you want to pick them up, then?” Zayn asked gently. “Wanna go to a classy bar? We can get all dressed up, show off the tits we didn’t have at 18, and see who we can find.”

Louis pursed her lips. “That sounds a lot more my speed, but I was serious when I said I don’t have anything sexy. I haven’t felt sexy in at least a decade, I don’t think.” That made her pause. “Fuck. Our marriage really has been going downhill for a long time, hasn’t it? We had no idea that we’d somehow switched from romantic partners to roommates.”

“All the more reason to go out and get you laid,” Zayn said, nodding to herself.

Louis is 42 and newly divorced with her four daughters off to college when she realizes all the plans she used to have for her life no longer fit. Just as she's starting to figure things out, she meets Harry Styles who proves sometimes starting over turns out so much better than sticking with the original plan.

“Did you know 200 people complained to the BBC officially to say that Olly Alexander’s performance at New Year’s Eve was,” Greg paused to allow the viewers to take in the most provocative part of the dance that had been performed that night for a moment before using air quotes and saying, “too sexy?”

Frowning a bit in a concerned and yet also disappointed way, Greg then continued.

“I actually felt a bit left out. I had an idea.”

🔹I Can Go With The Flow [Greg James/Gemma Styles, Louis/Nick Grimshaw, Louis/Harry/Nick Grimshaw, NR, 4k]

“You know how we said Gem’s brother is moving down to London, yeah?” Greg asked as they were sitting around Louis and Grimmy’s table, munching on the vegetables Gemma had insisted they bring whilst they waited for whatever casserole Grimmy had decided to experiment with this week.

“Yeah, yeah,” Louis said, getting up from the table and heading into the kitchen. “He’s staying with you until he finds a place, isn’t he?”

When Greg comes up with the brilliant plan to introduce Harry to their best friends Grimmy and Louis, Gemma isn't entirely pleased. Then again, she never could have imagined the outcome either.

🔹I Remember (The Distances We Covered)[Louis/Harry, NR, 5k]

Louis glanced at the glass of red wine in his hand before taking a quick look around those nearest him on the train. Just across the aisle in a seat facing him was a man with graying, curly hair falling into his face yet somehow staying above his glasses.
