From an illustrative standpoint, I really pushed myself and feel like I ventured into some new territory on this one and with that, I feel grateful for the experience of learning and growth. Little did he know I’m a pretty huge .ron, so I jumped at the chance and wanted to make something special. Besides the Dead .moe was ‘that’ jam band for me. They started my love for heavy improv bands and still are a favorite to this day. Rob’s slapping is one of the reasons I got into bass as much as I did. I wanted to make something reminiscent of the vintage Fillmore prints that started it all. I pulled inspiration from some of my favorite OG poster artists, Maclean, Moehring, and Gary Eagle. If you don’t know, now you know😄 Really stoked on these, sort of a surreal moment. Super grateful to have had the chance to craft these up.
