Day 2 with the Tuawhas. It's a new day and a bunch of aunts uncles and cousins visit

Luma's not feeling too great. That was quick wasn't it? She only just had a baby last night

Said baby is shown here meeting her uncle Entzu.

meanwhile her older siblings are working on their artistic skills

She might not be the baby of the house anymore, but Wuruhi's aunts and uncles are still lining up to hug and play with her

When Miharo grows restless, she likes to go to the beach. Despite being shy and a Loner, she's still a popularity sim and likes to challenge herself to socialize with the other kool kidz

Today uncle Tapu and aunt Luma convinced her to bring Tomuritanga along. He seems to be pretty self-sufficient so it's not even a hassle really

Meanwhile Oye Keji and Nerea Bigarrena seem to be hitting it off playing tag on the path. One approves.

Like any introvert, Miharo needs a break from the kool kidz now and then, and finds that there's nothing better for it than a good swim. Meanwhile Tomu's befriending T'ika Qallariq, one of very few fellow kids in he neighborhood he's not related to, just making a note of that to myself don't mind me

back home:

Anyway yeah Aworan visits and I have them go steady. Miharo has also been courted by Aitor previously but I want better things for her and he prefers Moemoea anyway

positive memories all around! and yeah most of my sims' memories are of relatives' birthdays now, that's how this goes i guess

idk what cat that is lol

Para would love a cat, but currently this household is so full it's getting stressful trying to micromanage everyone tbh

Although having a number of kids stuck in bed with flu at all times helps a bit :P

Also, older children are easier on the micromanager than the olde more independent ones, so Nui's birthday is very welcome

But, wait, there's more!

Just as simalteneously, oldest kid Para grows all the way out of even being a kid at all

and into not her style at all!

Nui gets the fortune aspiration with only skill-based opinions on prospective romantic partners, and both sisters grew up feeling great so that's great

And their barely makeover-ed looks. We're about to transition into the Roman era (y'all don't understand how hyped I am for that) and I expect these will need new looks for that

and I forgot to roll Nui's preference for the longest time but through the magic of hindsight here it is now

Late night dinner with a couple relations... we're being quiet because most of the family is sleeping

And the next morning is the last morning of our time with these folks for a while

The youths have uncle Tapu over for breakfast

Para catches a golden fish! Like the golden child she is

I never realised cousins Ibukun and Para are the same height

Lil' Manawataki still naps in the afternoon, lucky bastard

hooray!

Mayu likes bringing the girls on a hike when the weather is nice, and now that Wahi is up and healthy she'll be coming along and enjoying it whether she likes it or not

Unfortunately the weather is sometimes just TOO nice, and Mayu can't handle the extreme temperatures like she used to. This actually made her collapse for a second

yeah literally a second. She wouldn't even wait for her daughter to help her cool off before sitting back up.

Moemoea has managed to escape the hikes by taking up jogging instead. Also dat tan!

Awatea is also excused for now on account of being on watcher-mandated bed rest until her flu clears up. And what is this young lady you are nowhere near old enough to be daydreaming about boys

Also it's birthday

yeah when isn't it right? Manawataki grows up looking A LOT like his mom, and I decided to lean in to that and gave him her haircut.

Time to check in with the Tuatahi household, where papa Harikoa is entering his elder stage, surrounded by his flock

While Hari's getting his makeover (yes meaning putting him back into his adult stage style) Mayu tends to Manawataki, their youngest, while Moea perfects her art and Para burns the dinner

Also picture of Nui, because sometimes you just wanna take a picture of your cute sims

Aitor and Moemoea should be heading home by now, but paused on their way out to autonomously catch the Big Feelings. Or Moemoea does at least, Aitor is somewhat distracted by her stank

Hello and welcome back to the Bigarrena household. It's a brand spanking new day and Aitor is visiting with his grumpy unapproachable self, but Miretsi still tries to make a friend.

Inti is also visiting. Entzu's feelings are inscrutable

As is Moemoea autonomously apologizing to her? How did I miss out on whatever beef they had

Uncle Entzu does not appreciate being hit in the face with a big sack, and he's too tall to noogie, so Aitor can't figure out how to interact with him.

Maggie is easier to befriend

Inti hanging out with her kiddos

Bigarrenas now, where lil' guy Izar is sad. Actually both the toddlers are in aspiration failure because their parents divorced last round, so that's fun

One thing Izar does have going for him rn is wants. Specifically, learning nursery rhymes wants. And fortunately big sis Miretsi agreed to help make that happen

Somewhat less musically inclined, Poza gets back in the green by earning a counting-stones skill point, discovering a passion in life along the way

Nahia and Entzule discuss things over some soup. I think Entzu is opening up to the idea of meeting someone new. Not knowing how exactly to feel about that, Nahia just kinda nods

Later, Nahia runs into her mom, who is hanging out just outside the house for some reason.

next day,

Para is visiting, as is the wolf who's taken a liking to tormenting her lately. She gives her a good telling off this time. Also uncle Indartsu drops by, and Maggie befriends this stray doggie called Poppo.

And Inti is here, seeing one of her littlest ones.

There's a lot to miss here. Most of her kids, watching them grow..

oh hey, that might come in handy and some point idk

we're in no hurry now though, while this lil guy is mainly rolling wants for cuddles and potty management skills

Meanwhile his big bro is an absolute menace

What's even the point of me letting you have your buddies/love interests over if you're just gonna autonomously act like the problem cousin all the time >:(

As a punishment I'm having Aitor spend the following day watching his toddler bro

while the rest of the family spends a lovely day at the beach

While Egun splashes about in the waves and Indartsu chills or something, Iluna talks through some stuff with a couple of her cousins

the kids hang and chat till sunset.

That night, back home, Grandma's out n' about

Herself a Romance sim in life, I think she, like me, felt that the wayward youth, Aitor the Noogier, needed a lesson taught

Jokes on her, knowledge aspiration secondary!

I hate him.

But who could hate Egun. Just look at the power with which he picks those herbs. You go, kid.

welcome back to the Lehenik segment of the round, in which it's nighttime now. It won't last.

Their cats will make friends with any pet except each other :/ I wanted them to make kittens but

Though, if Mips is visiting, that must mean there's a Tuatahi family member around

She can't stay away I guess. Aitor is being pretty cute here to be fair

Klutz the dog is still the best. Damnit cats why can't you be more like Klutz

That evening, Zaindu makes a long awaited exit from babyhood

He's got a very distinctive face and I appreciate that

He doesn't like the potty at all

But he's making promising amounts of effort with walking, and naps in the morning like an angel.

Leheniks now, where everyone's coping after losing Eléwa since last time. Iluna and Egun are keeping themselves busy with the garden and the cats

while Indartsu spends most of his time looking after Zaindu the baby

Young Aitor is connecting with fellow romance sim Moemoea Tuatahi, and has a want for a date to fulfill, so heck yeah let's do this

These households are getting so big and stressful to manage I'll take any excuse to take a teen or older on a community lot excursion.

It's also great for people watching

As the rain intensifies, Aitor's gallantry leaves a little to be desired

Yep, that's a boy giving his date a noogie.

Moea's mom, aunt AND uncle are right there Aitor, what's with you?

I definitely don't blame her for just ending the date there.

She comes back almost immediately to hang out with the other teens. I just hope Aitor realizes he blew it.

The less than ideal weather follows him home, making his outdoor chores a, uh, chore

The evening brings some respite from rain, and some random guests. Dido the cat isn't getting along with either of the other cats living here, but her mom DD is the most fun playmate

lmao I got you! it's only Miharo Tuatoru, a sim who Loves To Swim.

Uncle Tapu and aunt Luma won't let her swim too far from land, but otherwise they encourage her healthy hobby

not least because it gets her out of the house so they can pursue their, uh, hobby

Hi and welcome to round 12: Tuawha segment! Part one. I've honestly missed these guys. It's wild how chill it is to play a reasonably sized household now.

Tapu welcomes new puppy Tipper to the family. His visiting niece Moemoea looks less than impressed.

That evening, baby boy Tomuritanga grows

And so does Miharo!

For some reason I decided this called for experimental gimpery, pls don't judge

and here's her post-makeover look

She did this thing a few times where she tilts her head to the right slightly while looking at people or stuff? so to me that's part of her personality now.

Tommy's doing great with learning all his toddler skills and stuff

and that's a good thing because he's about to not be the littlest family member anymore!

morning of round 12, Tuatahi household part 3. Aworan drops by to meet his littlest cousins Awatea and Manawataki

Moar cousin visit

Also! Moemoa ran into Aitor Lehenik whom she has triple bolts with and a want for a date, so guess what we're doing now

Aitor is a total grouch but he warms up to Moea's charms like nobody's business

Date successful.

Back home, Para and Eallin are besties, Awatea wakes from her nap and Hari and Mayu embarrass us all

Manawataki grows into a lil evil dummy

And Awatea grows into a lil fisherwoman. She kinda has resting "something smells" face

Beach time. Wahi tries her hand at freestylin

I promise Egun isn't planning a mass murder, he's a good kid

short part 3 with the Ketas, featuring shenanigans. Yeah it looks weird because height disparity, but Imole just threw her entire self into Harikoa's arms... yeah they're both in open marriages but surely that's a little forward

Yeah idk what problem Otia's having with Moemoea either

next morning

Otia had puppies! They're very similar looking but Ocker's the one with the lighter grey snout

Harikoa agrees to take the puppies' grandma Mips off our hands, and even pays for the privilege

5 dogs is more than plenty for me. I'll probably get neighbors to take the puppies next round

Nifesi meets another uncle. She has a lot of them, even with 2 of them gone prematurely :P

Her parents, meanwhile, are... busy...

I do like the doggies make no mistake.

The Tuawha household is always buzzing with activity. Here Miharo is chatting with fellow kid Miretsi Bigarrena, while cousin Para and next door neighbor Ife disagree about something.

Tuawha has picked up a few tricks from his older brother Harikoa and learned to salt-pack fish. Now they don't need to fish as often.

Work hard, play hard. Of course balloons don't exist in this prehistoric era, think of these as the splash fruit from tears of the kingdom thats such a good game

Anyway! after the play time it's eat time

but then it is interrupted by birth time!

Puawai is very annoyed for some reason, whereas Tapu is very worried for understandable reason

Lorea, also visiting, leads the fellow onlookers in prayer

and

A boy! (flipping finally!) he bears the proud name of Tomuritanga, but I will in all likelihood be calling him Tom for short

Gather round everyone and meet the little. Luma has gone to bed for some much needed rest, but Tapu is happy to introduce the baby to all of not even a fifth of his relatives

Miharo meets this cool older kid Eallin, who has a doggie who keeps chasing its own tail

The youths are digging Tapu's fly beats as well, and he earned some cash. It didn't fulfill the "perform music for tips" wish he had though.

After an eventful day, the family sleeps.

And now for the first time ever, we head to the newly established Tuawha household, situated here, in the deceptively named Reed Hut. Deceptively, because that's not even reeds is it.

Lovebirds Tapu and Luma waste no time in trying out their new bedroom. I may have heard a little tune too ♪

Meanwhile, Miharo meets a cute cat. I think this is Dudders.

Tapu's niece Moemoea visits to congratulate the couple on their new home

But she and the other random guests will soon have more to congratulate em on

Tapu feels this has been in the cards since he and Luma decided to move in together a few days ago, but is still touched almost to tears by how happily Luma accepts his proposal.

No time to waste!

Luma's skirt is the one her mother wore when she was young, handed down and worn on special days like this one

Their witnesses consist of niece Miharo, Dudders the cat and Tapu's older brother Puawai. There are other guests but they're busy playing kicky bag -_-

There you can see them in the background. Entzu your baby sister is getting married ffs mate

And yeah Tapu and Miharo's skirts are the same... the fabric was on sale okay

Yeah I spent over a thousand moleys on that bloody wedding arch that we sold again immediately after because this household has like no money

But they have each other. Luna the kitten sighting! She's learning that she's a good cat for peeing outside and not in the house she can't access :P

the next morning:

oooo it's so exciting

Luma is a family sim so she's ecstatic about this, but I'm not so sure about that dress for her

Luma's big brother Indartsu is visiting, but because of the rain they spend the day inside the barely furnished house. At least Miharo is having fun.

Luma's OTH is Art, and she hoped to decorate a bit with her works, though selling is perhaps the wiser move at this point

the next morning

the game reminds me that I must have some odd default pet eyes installed, because Luna's went from bright green to dark brownish upon growuppening. Oh well

And bumpity!
