For sure! It’s possible that there might not be open auditions - I wouldn’t be able to control that because I wouldn’t be part of the casting department - but if there were (and I’d do all I could to persuade people to make that happen) I’d announce it EVERYWHERE.

I KNOW I'm getting way ahead of myself here,,, but it's fun to think about!!!

Things I'm excited about provided Robin Stevens' announcement in 2024 is MMUTV (I know there's a chance it might not be but a babe can dream!)

- AN INTRO SEQUENCE!?!?!? (Hope they use the MMU font iykwim)

- AN INTRO SONG!?!?!

- new fans!!! (Am I gonna have to tag all my posts if they haven't read the books???)

- what the Deepdean uniform actually looks like!!! (As excited as I am for this I will be ignoring it if it doesn't match my hcs)

- 1930s fashion!!! English and Egyptian and Chinese and Indian fashion!!!

- Deepdean School (CANNOT work out what they mean in JFP by the old wing tunnel??? Fingers crossed it makes more sense)

- filming locations we can GO to and be like,,, this is where Hazel fell off a wall!!! :D

- FALLINGFORD??? it's sooooo gonna be a national trust place I can feel it

God, I used to be such a huge fan of hers but her antics in the past couple of years disgust me. I’ve bought her merch and everything, owned multiple CDs and vinyls and now I’ve been clean (lol, that’s a strange way to put it but I can’t describe it in another way) for a year. I think what people say about the swiftie fandom being a cult might be true after all. I don’t think I’ve seen a non-KPOP fandom being this toxic, violent and aggressive

2. what would you name your future kids?

That's a tough one. For a boy I've always imagined the name Eli but my husband already has a nephew named Eli so that kind of put a damper on that one. I like Charlie too but I have an uncle named Charlie that completely ignores my father's existence, which really hurts my father, so I don't want to pay him homage in any way shape or form. Maybe Naruto? XD

For a girl my family has a tradition of having MM in the initials somewhere. My mother is MMMS (she has two middle names), my sister is MMH, my niece is MMW, and I'm MMU. So I'd want to continue that tradition. I love Mei, which comes from my study of Mandarin. Mei sounds beautiful, is spelled beautifully, and means beautiful and I just love it. Don't quite have another M name figured out yet but I don't plan on having kids anytime soon so it can wait a minute.

I don't watch a lot of tv really, but I do have some favorites. I adore Futurama and The IT Crowd, I can watch those on repeat for all eternity and never get bored. Every joke still makes me cackle like an old lady. I also really enjoy The Act, that was good, and American Horror Story used to be a favorite but I haven't seen it since Roanoke.

GASP I FORGOT ABOUT BREAKING BAD I LOVED BREAKING BAD THAT’S PROBABLY MY FAVORITE

Now if we're talking anime then Naruto is obviously one of my favorites, I adore Fruits Basket, Skip Beat! is top 5 for sure, and Mob Psycho 100 has a special place in my heart.

I'm not really sure. One of my favorites is going to Disney with @therantingfangirl and my husband a few years ago. Another was taking my nephew to put put golf and boba tea, adopting my cat Apollo is absolutely a favorite. I don't know, I just have so many wonderful memories its hard to choose from. I'm very blessed~

Hi Robin! Has there been more news about an MMU adaptation that I missed? Just wondering, because I've seen you talking about that sort of stuff on here.

Also, since Daisy is a nickname for Margaret, Waa it intentional that Daisy is named after her mother?

No more news - it’s just been something that I’ve been working on for many years behind the scenes. I really hope that in the next year or so I’ll have something I can actually talk to you about, but nothing yet!

Murder Most Unladylike TV Show

So, I’ve seen a lot of people on here being like: Robin Stevens if you need someone to play blank, hmu. So here is what i think a mmu tv show would look like. (This might end up being a series!)

There would be one season per book.

Each book has so much dynamic, and depth to it, they would need one season per book. I think there would be around 4-6 episodes, each around 45 minutes to an hour.

They would make the romances a lot more clear.

I’m not saying there wouldn’t be the whole, will they won’t they, but I think they would make it a lot more prominent. So, like you could see the moment when Alexander realizes he likes Hazel, Bertie and Harold would be on screen more, and Amina and Daisy would have more development in their relationship.

Hazel would narrate it.

Instead of the whole casebook thing, at points, Hazel’s voice would describe things, such as clues, what she was thinking, etc.

*next ones a joke - or not...

This:

The moment Hazel and Alexander first make eye contact, Whitney Housten’s ‘I will always love you’ would come on, only for daisy to nudge Hazel, and ruin the moment.
