Who starts the playful pillow fight?Lucy does, though they normally start when Laxus says something smart to piss her off so she just ends up throwing a pillow at him which he always see as a her challenging him.

Who makes the other blush without even trying, and they find it super endearing?Laxus. When Lucy’s engrossed in something, like writing, he’ll watch her until she finally notices and asks him what he’s starting at. Most times he answers with the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen or something like that.

Who likes to piggy back on the other?Lucy always has Laxus carry her home after spending the evening with Cana at the guild.

Who gives the other raspberry kisses?Laxus. If he’s not watching her, he messing with her. He likes to walk up behind when she’s cooking or doing the dishes and get her because it freaks her out every time.

What theme would their wedding be, if they were going to get married?Hmmm… depends on the season. For spring or fall it’ s be a classic fairy tale wedding. For the summer, it’d be star themed and the reception would be after dark under the night sky. In the winter, a topical theme because they’d be on vacation and decide to just elope because wth not.

What does their typical friday night look like?Late night at the guild finishing weekly reports because there’s just too much for him to handle on his own thanks to their guildmates.

What movies do they like to watch together?They like to watch horror movies and laugh at how ridiculous they are.

Who likes to playfully pull the other person back to bed?Lucy tries too because she thinks he wakes up way too early. Doesn’t ever work because he’ll pull back and she’ll fall out of bed.

Who likes to sits on the other’s lap?Lucy…what else needs saying lol 

Who buys the other person clothes that they know that they would look good in?Laxus has a surprisingly good eye for women’s fashion whish he attributes to being friends with Evergreen for so long

I had no idea you were in Houston!!! I have a lot of family that lives down there too and we've talking to them nonstop just to make sure everyone is safe. I was already worried sick... I really hope you and yours are safe dearie.

Yeah! It’s crazy over here. There has been a lot of flooding closer to the city, and the tornado watch is all the time. My emergency notifications have gone off at any hour imaginable for tornado warnings. That’s the scariest thing next to flood water. A lot of people have been impacted, and the rain isn’t letting up anytime soon. Luckily, I’ve had power so food and water hasn’t been a problem yet. I hope your family is alright. The news is just petrifying to watch, but the community has really come out to help everyone who has flooded or been stranded. This storm is a monster.

I am definitely a gardener! I usually have the main plot idea in mind as I write and everything else just comes out naturally. It’s a pain when I have to write on a deadline though.

Q: How do you feel about collaborations?

I love collaborating! I actually have one that I did with @mystify-iing , titled Spook-a-boo. I’m open to any collabs in the future though! Feel free to come talk to me!

N: Is there a fic you wish someone else would write (or finish) for you?Like, all of them. But at the same time, none of them, because they’re my stories and I have my own ideas about them, and I don’t think I’d handle seeing someone else finish something of mine and not have it go the way I originally planned. I don’t know. If they could write it the same way I did, and have the same events/key moments/just minor details that I really love, then I would love someone to finish fics like Souls & Spirits and A Peculiar Situation for me. Those two are just getting ridiculously long and I don’t have the energy to work on them lately. 

P: Are you what George R. R. Martin would call an “architect” or a “gardener”? (How much do you plan in advance, versus letting the story unfold as you go?)Depends on the story. I start most of my stories without thinking about them at all. I get an idea, I get a few more ideas for scenes in the story, and go from there. But then with others, I spend months planning out each chapter, and each tiny detail. Fics like How I Met You, I planned after I’d written and posted the first chapter. 

I guess it’s kind of a mix of both though. Stories get away from me a lot of the time. S&S is the perfect example of one fic I didn’t plan out at all, which is why it’s 50+ chapters. I planned it out later, but it’s still a mess. 

Q: How do you feel about collaborations?

…I think the closest thing I’ve come to doing a collab is Empress adopting one of my fics to connect to one of her own she recently posted (and it was completely perfect). So, I don’t know how I feel about them tbh. I don’t think I would personally be able to really do one though, because I’ll always think that something didn’t turn out right or that something was missing from it. Does that make sense? I don’t even know anymore. I’m just protective of my stories and my ideas and I kind of believe that only I would be able to get them right (or at least by my standards, I mean). 

R: Are there any writers (fanfic or otherwise) you consider an influence?

Oh boy… Ohhhhhh booooyyyyy. Tbh? I have no fucking clue. I’m going to say George R.R Martin though, because… His world building is insane. Every time I go to read another chapter of GoT, I get the urge to go finish my Knight AU that I took down recently. 

Fanfic, there are plenty, although I think that’s more of a case that I just look up to them because they have such a way with words and I can only hope to be that good one day. ;-; My sentences don’t make sense half the time and they’re like the equivalent of the shittiest YA story ever. But to name a few of those people… @empressofeverything, @gemnika, and of course, you, @mistye-dawne. There’s more, but… Eh. Those come to mind.

I’m going to pick Ireland.

Historian or something like that. Just pay me to travel around the world to museums and archaeological/historical sites to learn and then share the knowledge and I would be so happy.

As long as it isn’t delivered in a condescending tone or really rudely, generally.

I’m actually currently in love with a web comic I would recommend to anyone called Sharp Zero. It’s even here on Tumblr

7. Are there any tropes you don’t like?

Love triangles. Any abusive dynamic, especially if “person A will change because they really love person B” Can we please burn this one.

8. Are there any fictional characters you’d love to befriend?

Eli Hong from Sharp Zero, he’s too precious. Lucy Heartfilia, mostly because she won’t give up on you. Wonder Woman, I’d feel inferior but Diana wouldn’t have that and I just love her.

9. What was your first job?

Cashier/floor associate at a temporary Halloween store. 

10. What’s your favourite holiday or organized event?

HALLOWEEN!! My joy is at its peak

10. A childhood memory?

Oh let’s share a mishap in which 6 year old Sammii proves why you should listen to your parents when they say don’t play/run around there in the dark. Yay! So, my grandparents used to live near a swamp, like you hoped the back fence and hello swamp. You can’t have sewage lines because unsteading ground. Septic tanks are then the answer. Septic tanks need to have a place to access, theirs happened to be a nearly 2 ft tall, 3ish ft in diameter cement cap. There was a tree stump really close to it. We always played around and jumped between the stump, tank, and the small wooden stoop at the back door. Then one night we were over for a fire and look it’s now really dark out, cue ‘stop playing around there’ from my mom, which I of course ignored. Not long after graceful me trips on the stump and lands face first onto the edge of the cap, did I mention it was cement? I caught the edge right on my top lip with some lovely force, put my front teeth into my lip while knocking three of said teeth loose. Of course couldn’t make it easy and knock them out so I had to have them pulled a couple days later. 

And had the added joy of spending the next 2 years with no top teeth and my dad singing ‘All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth’ every chance he got. I still hate that bloody song. Silver lining was I loosened the stump so my grandparents could finally pull it out like they had been trying to for some time. 

11. Anything you want to say or get off your chest?

Some people on this hellsite and online in general need to get the hell of the internet for a few hours day. Look at tree, pet a dog, watch some Care Bears, whatever just put down the social media. Take a break from the crazy and the toxic attitudes.

I'm curious to know why you say in your rules that you must have a Tumblr account to request something. Does that mean you're not taking anon requests/turning them off on the 31st/1st? If so, can I ask why?

When I open my inbox, anon will be on, but I might turn it off if I feel the need to. With anon it’s impossible to tell if it’s just one person or multiple individuals sending requests so if my inbox is full on nothing but anon I have no idea if they were all sent by one person or not. I have no problem with leaving anon requests on, I’m just asking that you try and be courteous with how many requests you send me.

That goes for anyone who sends in a request as I’m not limiting how many you can send, but if I can see a name and that they’ve sent me an outrageous amount of requests, I can contact that individual and ask them to slow down/stop. I can’t do that with anon since I don’t know if it’s all the same person or not.

From my point of view, it would be just be simpler to turn anon off from the get go so I don’t run into that problem. But this is my first time doing something like this so I don’t know that it’s going to be one. So long as it doesn’t end up as a problem, anon will always be on.

Who starts the playful pillow fight?Lucy does when she thinks that he’s being too aloof. Like her, he sometimes gets lost in thought but it’s based around thoughts of Edolas. He doesn’t regret not staying but he does worry about the people sometimes because he was responsible for taking their magic. When he gets like that she’ll throw one at him and then he sees the reason he stayed with Fairy Tail and all is right in the world.

Who makes the other blush without even trying, and they find it super endearing?Mystogan. Going along with the answer above, he makes sure that Lucy always knows how much he cares about because he’s still a man of very few words. She’s well aware of how he feels about her, but can’t help but to blush when she hears him say it.

Who likes to piggy back on the other?Lucy. But only in the privacy of their home… it’s not a secret that they’re an item but he’s a private man still and doesn’t care for much pda.

Who gives the other raspberry kisses?Tehe, Lucy. Sometimes she just can’t help herself when he’s sleeping. It’s a surefire way for her to wake him and make him laugh when she does it.

What theme would their wedding be, if they were going to get married?Marriage just hasn’t come up between the two. Hell neither has dating… people know that they’re together in a sense but they don’t know the extent of their relationship. There’s just no need to define what they have. However if marriage does ever come up, it would be a big deal since both mages hold their guild in high regard and would make sure that they all knew.

What does their typical friday night look like?If he’s in town, they’re cuddling because he’s still gone a lot. He’s just used to always being gone and on the move and is still trying to break that habit.

What movies do they like to watch together?Not really the movie watching type, but there’s always some kind of music playing when he’s home

So question I'm not the only one who finds Juvia's little fantasies about Gray to be a tad cringe worthy am I? I'm like a total Luvia and Graylu shipper and Gruvia just rubs me all the wrong way.

So this is my personal opinion on the matter, but you are definitely not the only one who feels that way dearie. When her obsession with him was first introduced, it brought a certain comic relief, at least I thought so, and I found it to be funny and cute. But the joke continued on and it was the same thing over and over that it got dry. And then eventually those moments literally made me ill because I’ve known friends who have had stalkers and people obsess over them and it’ s scary stuff.

Yeah, this is a work of fiction but there was that one and we’re talking about fictional characters but the relationship between them just felt forced. I know Mashima said countless times over the years that he didn’t write according to what the fans wanted, he had a vision for his story he was writing. I respect that, but if he really wanted to make gr.uvia canon, he could have written it so much better because it just destroyed Juvia’s character and she is my favorite female character, second to Lucy.

In the Tower of Heaven arc, there was so much potential for there to be a strong bond between Lucy and the water mage and it actually started to form. But then the arc was over and that was that… like wtf?! Uggh… fans want to talk about how it just makes sense for gr.uvia to be a thing because their magic goes together. Umm, Luvia was the first freaking unison raid of the series… but I digress.

Yes, I Juvia’s obsessive fantasies of Gray to downright creepy to the point that I can’t read/watch them anymore… Sorry for going off on a tangent dearie.

25: What is an anime you regret watching?Arakawa under the bridge… Just no. I don’t recommend it. It’s hella weird and I thought it was funny to begin with but then it just got cringy weird.

35: Have you ever dropped an anime, if so why?Bleach… I’ve dropped this so many times and always end up returning to watch a little at a time but it’s the same thing every arc and it just get bored of the storytelling after so long.

F: Share a snippet from one of your favorite dialogue scenes you’ve written and explain why you’re proud of it.

“This isn’t your fault, Bix.”

“I shouldn’t have left him,” he sputtered. “If I’d been there-”

“If you had been there, we don’t know how things might have turned out,” she interrupted. “I’m sorry for not noticing the pain you’ve been in sooner, Bix.”

“Talk things through with him, please?”

“I promise. I don’t want to give up on him and I yet. I want to try and make it through this like they do in romance novels.”

This is from the last few lines of Ch. 13 of Finding the Words and there was more to this I wanted to share but it’s a lot lol. Pretense to this scene, Laxus loses his memories of Lucy while trying to stop some crazed mage from sacrificing her for shits and giggles… not lying about that. Well I went with a BixLu brotp and he adores her so much that he feel partially responsible for happened. I had intended to for this to be him still comforting her, but I brought out that hint of angsty Bix and rolled with, switching their roles here.

H: How would you describe your style?My style? I’d probably say that I write things to be dialogue driven because of how much development it offers to the characters. I’m trying to explain this so that it makes sense, but dialogue is meant to be meaningful and bring something to the story that can’t be shown through narration. Idk, it used to be something I struggled with because too much dialogue and your suddenly telling the story.

I: Do you have a guilty pleasure in fic (reading or writing)?I’m a sucker for fantasy reads and AUs… I’m actually working on a GrayLu and GaLu fantasy AUs for Halloween. I have love the world of fae and the like way too much sometimes. I literally have fairies all over my bedroom wall

L: How many times do you usually revise your fic/chapter before posting?For my drabbles, I’ll give them a quick once over before posting it. For anything longer, I’ll edit it once I finish a section and then again once the whole chapter/story is finished. I don’t get paid for all the grammar so I mainly just make sure that’s it readable and flows decently. I know that my multichapter LaxLu I just finished could easily use some fine tuning but for the most part I was satisfied with it.

6. Is there any fic that makes you super embarrassed to reread and remember you wrote that?Currently for FT there isn’t simply because I’ve only been posting my writing for no more than two months. I’m serious, I posted my first story on June 20 of this year, so it hasn’t even been two months. That’s not to say I don’t cringe at anything that I’ve written in the past because I do, but no one else has ever seen that stuff and probably won’t unless I decide to do some rewrites.

13. What’s the biggest change between your style when you started in fandom and today?Again, I haven’t been activly writing in the fandom for very long so the style I write with is something that I’ve developed over the last decade of my life since that’s when I first started writing. But overall, I’d say that I’ve found a proper balance between narration and dialogue as that was something I used to struggle with a lot.

21. If someone starts kudosing and commenting your fics in a spree and has a few works of their own, would you go look through theirs?Oh, absolutely. If someone faves/follows a story of mine I’m very appreciative, but when a see a familiar name pop up constantly, in leaving regular reviews and reading multiple projects of mine I’m going to rememebr that individual and check them out whenever I’ve got the chance. I was also taught that it’s good practice to give encouragement to others who do the same thing you might do. You never know, you might make someone’s day brighter just by popping in and saying hey I noticed you noticing me and my work so I’m gonna share the love.

22. Has there ever been anyone who’s made you freak out because they read your work and followed/favorited/reviewed?Ummm, yes. The first one is the talented Desna on FF.net. She faved/followed my multichap and I was speechless because I’ve read every one of her stories and keep up with whatever one she’s currently writing.The second is the lovely @raijindork I decided to participate in Vera’s August writing challenge this month just to make sure I was writing a little bit each day and she’s read/reviewed almost each prompt. I admire her work as well and was really glad that she’s been enjoying some of those little drabbles and would like to see some of those ideas expanded upon which I plan on doing for several already.

Yeah, I had no idea. When you sent your first ask I went and looked at the prompts for the week and I’ll definitely be able to write something for day 4. It won’t belong but it’ll be something at least. I don’t blame anybody but myself for not knowing but I’m also new to writing GrayLu so it’s all good. If I’d known about it in advance though, know that I would have participated.

It makes me so happy to hear that you like my writing. One of my next projects is actually a GrayLu fantasy au so look forward to that!
