Just finished a super stressful job today. This 18K white gold bespoke ring from the UK came by the shop to be refurbished and have the missing center stone replaced with a princess diamond.
It gave me hell trying to get new wire for the mounting in there and setting the stone also was riddled with issues that ate way more of my time than it should, and i had to redo the prongs a few times (still not happy with the final look honestly) and redoing the miligrain was a first for me. But after stressing a lot and asking for advice and help from the senior jeweler in the shop i finally finished it and the guest was overjoyed. I feel relieved to have pushed myself to do this given all the factors going into it and knowing the guest enjoyed my work, but i know i could've done better work on this piece and done it faster so i shall continue to strive for that. Anyways I'm done working till the holidays are over so I'm chillin
