Nico reflecting on her life with Morihito as she heads towards a confession is such a sweet moment. They've been through so much, but they've never been able to get on the same path. This is what she's been wanting to face head on for so long.

But it's not to be for now. Just as many people has theorized, Komugi is the warlock. This has all been an elaborate trap, and Nico is separated from all of her bodyguards. Shinohara's art is always gorgeous, but this last page is especially chilling, especially with the blood dripping down from the top of the page. Now we have to see if the bodyguards are ready to fight back. Keigo's phonecall to Nemu last week will be key, since she's the variable that Komugi likely hasn't accounted for

I don’t know if the series is going in that direction.

At least Miharu gets to touch somebody without exhausting them.

He also went through the struggle of worrying about your one friend group meeting your other friend group, but it looks like it didn’t devolve into violence

I wonder if Fran’ll stick around as part of the main cast, or if she’ll be more of a recurring orbiter like Momochi

OK OK OK one more time around, TEKKEN 7 SEASON 4 CHARACTER SPECULATION.

From the previous post about this, I was saying I felt that likely returning characters included:   Kunimitsu, Bruce, Kiryu from Yakuza, and Jun. (and this was before any of the S4 trailers)

And we got Kunimitsu! Well, Kunimitsu II, the original’s daughter. Also, apparently Kiryu has been disconfirmed as a guest character?

This leaves us with...

Clones / nearly clones: Christie, Forest Law, Miharu, P. Jack, Sebastian, Slim Bob, Tiger

Remixed/replaced: Bruce (still possible maybe?? …), Michelle, Raven

Mimics: Combot, Mokujin

Old boss characters: Ancient Ogre, True Ogre, Jinpachi, Unknown

Unique & still missing: Alex/Roger/Roger Jr, Angel, Baek, Dr. Bosconovitch, Jun, and Wang.

... I think Jun would be the most hype out of any of these characters. I think her inclusion would be a clear indication of where the story is going, and that there’s going to be a Tekken 8 soonish.

I could also see Angel (who needs buffs) or even Bruce? You might expect a dude given that we got Kunimitsu for the first S4 character. Maybe another original character, or possibly some surprising non-Kiryu guest??

But here’s my prediction: I think it’s Jun.

Happy birthday, Tomoe Murakami!

Today in Japan, January 3rd, is also Tomoe Murakami’s birthday! Voiced by Miharu Hanai (花井美春), Tomoe is a 13 year old from Hiroshima. A rebellious young girl, Tomoe’s interests and hobbies are more fit for someone from the 1950’s. She often dresses like a yakuza member- and it isn’t uncommon seeing her with a large possy of bodyguards. She enjoys shogi and enka; Tomoe’s costumes often emulate costumes from the Enka genre.

Tomoe, as previously mentioned, enjoys playing shogi and singing enka. She’s a hard worker and somewhat of a homebody, and often makes herself seem tougher and more intense than she actually, truly is. Tomoe’s father was very strict with her, often making her do many chores, saying that “When a man is out working, it’s a woman who protects the household.”. Tomoe was often confused by this saying, believing that women should be allowed to go out too. She doesn’t like frilly clothing and seems to have a great dislike for useless men.

Tomoe has a solo song, which is titled Onna no Michi wa Hoshi no Michi (��んなの��は星の道/The Way of a Maiden is The Way of Stars). She also sings in Koi ga Saku Kisetsu (恋が咲く季節/The Season Where Love Blooms). Some units Tomoe is a part of include Redberries (レッドベリィズ) with Arisu Tachibana, Sakura Synchronicity (サクラ・シンクロニシティ) with Yuuki Otokura and Asuka Ninomiya, Another Sky (アナザースカイ) with Miho Kohinata and Tsukasa Kiryu), Jet Black Feast (漆黒の饗宴) with Sanae Katagiri and Tokiko Zaizen, and Past Days Singers (パストデイズ・シンガーズ) with Hasumi Nagatomi and Hajime Fujiwara. What a fucking chapter of Witch Watch. The whole confrontation between Nico and Komugi was really excellent. Komugi's backstory is pretty good and you can see how they're set up for a good showdown. The warlocks have been plotting this incredibly well, right down to keeping Komugi from firing off her first spell after becoming a warlock until she could launch this perfect surprise attack. And now we have a whole evil team taking everyone on one on one. We know that Nemu is aware of what's going on, so hopefully she can come in and save the day, because right now things are looking pretty bleak for our heroes.

Kenta Shinohara is a madman turning a love confession arc into the major catastrophe that has been built up for so long
