Here’s Michelle:

Let’s go! Got some angst mixed in there too.

1 - she gets as much sleep as possible. The least she has slept is 4 hours though.

2 - she likes pearls and seashells! She finds them really pretty, and she has a seashell necklace laying around somewhere.

3 - her hair gets tangled easily, and she doesn’t really like it-

4 - she doesn’t do a lot of makeup besides lipstick, mascara, eyeshadow and some blush. She doesn’t like spending too much time on her makeup.

5 - people often comment that she looks cold and empty sometimes. She doesn’t exactly like those comments, but she doesn’t do anything to stop people from saying them cause she knows they won’t stop.

6 - she really likes kids…But she’s really scared that she’ll make them upset. So she keeps her distance from them.

7 - there was a time she considered adopting a child. But knowing how busy she could get as a lawyer, she decided not to risk neglecting the child and didn’t adopt a child-

8 - mhm…She looks like a bisexual (lol I’m making all your favourite characters gay-)

9 - her favourite fruit is watermelon. She likes it a lot since it can be quite sweet, and is really refreshing.

10 - she doesn’t really like sweets, but she eats them sometimes. She prefers salty over sweet food.

11 - has a soft sport for Elliot. Part of her pities that he faced so much danger, and she sees Elliot as a son at some points of time. Does she tell Elliot this? No. Because she knows Elliot probably only sees her as a work partner, and she doesn’t want to make things between them uncomfortable by saying she sees him as a son sometimes.

12 - She began smiling a lot more after working with the Bureau. She actually had a lot of fun with them. The adventures they had, the interrogations and crimes they solved. She loves the Bureau dearly, and sees them as a family…

13 - she doesn’t have many friends- she has people she talks to because of work, but she won’t see them as friends. (Yeah this is before she joined the Bureau)

14 - wakes up early everyday. Latest she gets up is 9am.

15 - she’s really soft-hearted and empathetic, but she puts up a wall because of work. She doesn’t let her emotions interfere with her work and sees it as extremely unprofessional. This makes some people see her as uncaring though.

16 - she likes to sing. She finds singing really fun, but only sings to herself or hums. She won’t sing in front of others- but she sang in front of the Bureau once though.

17 - rough childhood. Her parents were rarely home, and she was often left alone with her nanny- and if you played season 3 you’ll see why her childhood was rough…

18 - she took therapy with Marina about her childhood to recover. She understood that her childhood was traumatising and that she needed help, so she got it the moment she was close enough with the Bureau.

19 - she hates the fact she is in SOMBRA. She hates knowing what happens to children there…And it makes her feel awful.

20 - she has nice hands, but her hands are always really cold..

21 - the multi coloured necklaces she wears are a gift from the Bureau! They got it for her as a welcome gift!

22 - Michelle got along with Elliot the best when she first joined. Then Marina…Carmen, Armand, Angela, Lars, Jack, Jonah…Ingrid and Chief Ripley have nothing to say about her really.

23 - chats with Armand in her free time. She enjoys hearing him talk about history, and plays chess with him sometimes.

24 - she’s trying to learn a new language and is being taught by Armand. She makes mistakes every now and then when trying to speak German, but Armand helps her out by writing the pronunciation on a piece of paper for her to practice.

25 - Michelle usually stays indoors. She’s not the biggest fan of going out, and her comfort is in her home.

26 - she moves a lot when she’s trying to sleep- she’s always tossing and turning and it takes at least an hour for her to fall asleep.

Tight spaces

Brief, if any spoilers for Case 48 of World edition

And TW for mistreatment of a child being discussed

It had been quite a quiet week For Michelle, compared to the rest of her teammates. And, in particular, Jack and Carmen’s complaints hadn’t been lost on her.

Carmen is seated to Michelle’s right, tinkering with her camera in her lap. The room remained silent despite the noises in between Carmen’s tinkering and the turning of pages coming from Michelle’s book each time she licked her finger to turn to the next page.

“It’s oddly quiet,” Remarked Carmen, her eyes settling on the book Michelle had her nose buried in. “It’s been exhausting the run around Chief’s been giving us lately.”

Michelle looked up from her book, acknowledging the fact Carmen was speaking. “Well,” she begins, “I wouldn’t exactly call sitting around in the office my idea of fun.”

“I’m sure it beats not getting a moment to yourself.” Carmen sits her camera onto the desk and she leans back in her chair. She raises a hand running it through her hair in frustration.

The peace was soon interrupted and Carmen had known it to be too good to be true and she was right as soon as she was loading back into one of the bureau’s

Vehicles alongside…. Jack, and thankfully, Michelle.

The case seemed as simple as they came as they pieced it together until Carmen had pushed open a knob to an old door the knob was rusted in multiple layers as well as it being halfway off its hinges.

Carmen’s lips curled upwards in disgust as dust flew around as she opened the door and she peered into the …room? Which was pitch black. Frowns, brows furrowing.That’s gonna be a tight fit.”

“And I’m not fitting in there,” Carmen added, her eyes landing on Jack.

Jack opens his mouth to protest before he sees Carmen’s eyes narrowing. “And you think I am?” He follows up and Carmen rolls her eyes.

“I already said I wasn’t going to.” Carmen’s voice doesn’t waver.

“Michelle?” Carmen questions, craning her neck. “Would you be up for it?” She notices Michelle’s eyes locked on the inside.

“It’s awfully tight, don’t you think?” Michelle’s throat tightens.

“Well,” Jack walks over to Carmen wrapping her around her. “Carmen over here doesn’t wanna go in either.” Carmen shrugs Jack’s arm off her shoulders, scoffing in response and rolling her eyes.

“You said you weren’t going in either,” Carmen states, she glares at Jack. “In case you forgot, that is.”

“What, are you scared?” Teased Jack and Michelle lifted up her slumped shoulders and took a deep breath and shook her head.

“No, I’m not scared.” Michelle asserts through gritted teeth. “Why would I be scared? Isn’t that a bit of a childish fear?”

“I mean, it is tight.” Carmen confirms. “I'd be a bit nervous, not knowing what was in there.”

“And I’ll do it since you both can’t.” Michelle stretched out a hand towards the semi-open door and she feels around in the dark and feels the tightening of it as she bends down slightly and her hands hit a wall that is firmly right between another wall and suddenly it’s all dark. Her mouth goes dry as she feels her hands firmly on the wall.

“Do you need a light?” Called Carmen.

Michelle swallowed the lump in her throat. “I …don’t think so.” Her chest feels tight and the air is thick. Completely and utterly dark, shoulders squished together and her knees pulled as close as she could muster. It leaves a bad taste in her mouth. The tightness in her chest grows as her hands feel their way around. Something brushed her arm and Michelle jerked in back and she felt a prickling sensation and her back thumped against the wall and it ached as she pulled herself back up only to hear the sound of the creaking door shut. Shit, that’s not good.

Not good at all. Michelle instinctively slammed her eyes shut and sat there for a moment racking her brain for anything then she leans back against the dusty wall before she opens them and cranes her neck. She bit into the inside of her cheek and her chest constricts even tighter and her throat closes up. Tears brim in her eyes and the newly forming tears sting her eyes.

Stuck in a closet, once again.

Michelle hadn’t been stuck in a cold, dark, stuffy closet since she was a little girl. The one place she had assured herself on those nights that seemed to drag on forever to never visit again. She never stayed in her closet at her home picking clothing for too long and she as sure as hell never closed the door. And she’d just done it.

She could feel the steady beats slowly but surely increasing and thumping as if a freight train was cased inside her chest and were about to burst. She cannot be doing this. Michelle’s shoulders slumped as she took a deep breath - or rather or a few rapid intakes of breath that didn’t inhale nearly as much air as she wanted and more dirt than anything she wanted. Out, she needed out and right now. Michelle’s hands palm her away and she shuts her eyes as they finally pour down her cheeks, more rushing down as more past her throat aches as she swallows back the sounds that scraped her throat wanting an escape.

Michelle’s hands wrapped firmly around the knob as her shoulders and pushed together. As soon as she shoved the door open, she turned the knob and shoved it with her shoulder and her hands went to her knees as she crawled back out.

“ - Chelle did you find an-“ Carmen stops dead in her tracks as she peers at Michelle. “Are you alright?”

Find anything? Nothing but a stuffy prison that she’d thought was done tormenting her because she was an adult and she couldn’t be easily shoved into one and she wouldn’t sit there scrunched up and wait until her throat would stop aching from the continuous tears.

Michelle’s stomach had churned violently at the aspect of going into the tight space but she just had to do it anyways despite everything screaming at her not to. She didn’t have to listen anymore, she couldn’t be shoved into a closet simply for saying ‘no’. She could reach the doorknob, at that. And it didn’t lock from the outside. And, now, she’s certain they don’t and she just shoved a chair in front of the door. And just listened, the more she cried the longer it would be. She can’t hear small children cry anymore.

“Did you learn your lesson?” Would be the question with a terse voice and Michelle’s eyes would stare at her nails, inspecting them until a sharp long-nailed hand would dig into her little wrist and back she would go.

“Michelle? Michelle?” Carmen’s voice broke through her train of thought but not quite enough as Michelle’s head snapped forward to see where the voice was coming from as her eyes filled with a continuous stream of tears. It should’ve alerted Michelle by the tone of voice being far from that stern unwavering one she’d blocked out as best as she could.

Carmen’s brows are knitted together in concern and she frowned in contrast to what Michelle was usually met with. A hand is placed on her shoulder and Carmen knelt beside her as the sob lodged in Michelle’s throat breaks free and she sobs. And sobs. And sobs.

Jack’s expression is concerned but he stays to the side not interrupting Carmen. “Are you okay?” Asks Carmen and Michelle doesn’t register any of it as her vision blurs more.

“You didn’t have to go in, Michelle.” Carmen shuts the door and pulls Michelle to closer, wrapping an arm around her shoulders. “I know you said you didn’t like tight spaces before but I didn’t expect that bad.” She murmured.

“We wouldn’t have made you go in had we known it was this bad. One of us would have sucked it up. Probably me.” Carmen’s fingers rub at Michelle’s shoulder gently.

“I never wanted to go back.. in there.” Michelle croaked, her voice cracking with each breath she took. “I thought - I thought I’d be… over that by now…” Michelle sniffles, scrunching up her face to prevent anymore tears from falling but she’s a bit late for that, each of her breaths coming in shorter than the last.

“Hey, hey, hey, Michelle? Try to take a deep breath.” Carmen coaxes in a soothing turn and she does one herself, encouraging Michelle to copy this. “It’s just a closet, you’re safe.”

That seemed to press a button with Michelle “It’s not - not just a closet!”.

“Michelle, what do you mean?” Carmen pulled Michelle closer and she buried her face into Carmen’s chest.

“Do you remember me telling you that….my father was stationed far from home? Well, my mother traveled with him so they hired a governess - what I guess you could call a nanny - to watch me. And her way of disciplining me was locking me in a closet, very effective.” Michelle’s tone of voice lowers at the end as she raises a hand towards her face to wipe her tears.

“Michelle… I didn’t know..” Carmen’s voice trails off. “That’s not how you deal with a child… not how you discipline one, much less. I get why you don’t like tight spaces then.”

Michelle sniffles. “You couldn't have, don’t feel bad.” She finally exhales, taking a deep breath as Carmen rubs circles into her back. “Couldn’t get any tighter than the ones at home. No room to move and it was stuffy and dark.. and If I cried? I was in there way longer.”

“If you cried?” Carmen questioned.

“Yes, she hated it when I cried because that was her way of dealing with me and I’d earned it so I shouldn’t cry.” Michelle’s voice cracks but she swallows, thickly.

“I’m so sorry, I would’ve never known.” Carmen says.

“Don’t feel bad… it’s not your fault.” Michelle sniffles again.

“At least you’re out of there.” Carmen soothes.

“I didn’t see anything,” Michelle added. “Someone still has to go in.. there.” She lays her head on Carmen’s shoulder. “Could you.. maybe stay out here with me..?”

what they smell like: coffee, she was lawyer and has to work with the bureau, she needs the coffee.

how they sleep: she sleeps for a good amount of hours, mostly on her side.

what music they enjoy: calm music, she also listens to sad songs in her freetime when she needs to cry.

how much time they spend getting ready each morning: at least an hour because she has to look good, even though she is already beautiful.

their favorite thing to collect: jewelry that has been created by someone else, like the jewelry she wears for example.

left or right handed: right handed.

religion: doesn't have one anymore, she is nervous about it, especially with what happened to her in the past.

favorite tourist thing to do when traveling: eating the local food.

favorite kind of weather: none, she was "trained" to be able to not be bothered by any kind of weather, so she doesn't mind it at all as long as she has the right clothing for it.

a weird/obscure fear they have: not a weird one, but she has claustrophobia due to being locked in the closet as a child, she also doesn't really like being in the dark as well.

The Bureau When Drunk Headcanons

Elizabeth Ripley: gets incredibly affectionate towards other Bureau members but will pick a fight with anyone who insults her or anyone else on the team.

Ingrid Bjorn: Gets super emotional, like just breathing wrong around her will make her cry.

Jack Archer: We've already seen him drunk, he's kind of a reckless drunk.

Carmen Martinez: Also an affectionate drunk, will hug you. However, she also gets reckless.

Angela Douglas: The type of drunk that breaks into someone's room and starts infodumping about biology.

Grace Delaney: She slowly gets quieter and quieter until she passes out.

Lars Douglas: We've also seen him drunk, he's an angry drunk.

Elliot Clayton: Nobody knows why, but he gets 1000 times more British when drunk, also he picks fights with anyone and everyone.

Marina Romanova: Also an emotional drunk, but not to the same extreme as Ingrid. She also sometimes breaks into people's rooms to give them therapy.

Armand Dupont: Happy drunk, he just gets really happy.

Jonah Karam: Bro just passes out. He takes one shot, and he's out.
